Chapter 22 – We Now Have One More.

I was really busy at work as my assistant and I tied up the end-of-the-year activities and then prepared to switch over to the new calendar year.  I was exhausted by the time I returned home every night, so I didn't have time to prepare a mystery for the boys to solve as it neared the time for me to pick them up on the weekend.  Instead of having nothing for them to do, I figured we could go on an impromptu adventure and I hurriedly planned it out in my mind while I was on my evening jog.

I had it roughly worked out by the time I got back to the house, and I worked on it a little more as I showered and got ready for bed.  I thought I was pretty well set by the time I left to pick up the boys on Saturday morning, and this time there were four of them waiting for me, since Glen was now going to be part of the group.  However, I had to stop them from getting into the car.

"Hold on a minute.  We're going to do this adventure here at the park first, because we'll need more room than just my backyard."

"Ok, what are we gonna do then?" Noah quickly asked.

"This time we're going to be caught in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, so we'll have to avoid being caught and bitten by any of those creatures."

"Is this like the Walking Dead?" Gus asked very excited.

"Yes, it is, but I didn't think you boys would know about that show.  You mean your mom lets you watch it?"

"Nah, I just heard the older kids talking about it on the bus and at school.  I wish I could watch it, but I know my mom won't let me.  This sounds like it's gonna be fun."

"Yeah, it does," the others agreed.

"Oh, no!  They've spotted us and they're heading this way.  Quick!  Follow me," I said as I led them away from the car and into the park.  We headed over to the building where the toilets were.

"Are we gonna go inside?" Sam asked.

"No, they'd trap us in there.  I just wanted to use the building for cover, so they wouldn't see where we were going next."

From there I led the boys to the bushes at the rear of the park and had them crouch down behind the shrubbery.  "I think we've lost them for now," I said in a whisper, "but we have to be really quiet."

I was just about to make some noise that I could claim had attracted the zombies again when one of the boys sneezed.  "Damn, that certainly was bad timing.  A couple of the zombies heard you sneeze and they're heading this way.  Stay down and use the bushes to keep them from spotting you."

I then crawled along the ground behind the bushes until I got to the other end, with the boys mimicking my example and following my lead.  I then made it look as if I was peeking around to see the other side of the bushes and then I spoke to the boys again.

"Follow me, but try not to make any noise."  I said this just loud enough for them to hear.

I got up into a crouch, with the boys doing the same, and then we made a dash across the open area.  I led them toward the playground equipment before we stopped.  "Hide behind the merry-go-round for now, and maybe the zombies will get distracted by something else."

We stayed there for about a minute before we heard someone yelling out on the street behind us.  A guy in a car was screaming at another guy walking on the sidewalk.

"Those idiots just drew the zombies in this direction again, so we'll have to find somewhere else to hide."

I led the boys to the play set and had them climb up to the tower, while I stayed on the platform lower down.  "Be very quiet until they move on," I whispered, and the boys nodded that they understood.

A couple of minutes later, a car horn honked somewhere beyond the far end of the park.  "Ok, that helped, because now they're moving toward the sound of the horn.   As soon as they get far enough away we'll make a dash for the car.  Maybe we'll be lucky and be able to drive off before they see us."

A few seconds later I told the boys to follow me and we climbed down from the play set and made our way over to the car.  As soon as they were all inside, I drove off, telling the boys to make sure their windows were up so the zombies couldn't reach inside.

"Man, that was close," Noah said as we were driving away.

"Yes, it was, but there may be more zombies in other areas as well.  I'm told this problem is happening all over the world."

As soon as I pulled the car into the driveway, I told the boys what we were going to do next.  "There are some zombies coming down the street and heading this way after they saw us pass by.  Follow me into the house and we'll hide inside until they're gone."

I unlocked the door as quickly as I could, but then I made it look as if I was lowering my shoulder and busting down the door.  Once it was open, the boys followed me inside.  "Did you just break your own door?" Glen asked, looking at me oddly.

"No, I unlocked it.  I just made it appear that way for the adventure."

"Oh, ok," he said as he gave a sigh of relief.

I then instructed the boys to follow me from room to room until we reached a spot where we couldn't be spotted.  "This is so the zombies won't see us if they look through the windows.  I'm hoping they'll get distracted by something else or think we went out another door so they'll move along."

After staying quiet and remaining still for a short time, I spoke again.  "Ok, it's appears to be all clear now and the zombies have moved off.  It looks like we'll be safe if we stay here for a while."

"That was fun," Glen squealed.  "I'm glad I get to do this with you now."

"Yes, I'm glad too."

"What are we gonna do now?" Gus followed.

I was actually thinking about taking the boys swimming next, but I realized I couldn't do that yet, since Glen was with us.  Therefore, I changed gears and came up with another idea.

"How would you boys like to go to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch?  We can eat there, and they have lots of other things you can do afterward."

"Oh, yeah.  That's a fun place," Noah quickly agreed.

"How do you know?" Sam followed, and then he waited for Noah to answer.

Seeing Noah looked as if he'd just stepped in a pile of poop, I answered for him.  "I took him there once, and he had a really good time."

"Yeah, I did," Noah confirmed as he smiled at me.  I took that as a silent thank you for bailing him out.

"Ok, let's do that then," Gus agreed, with the others adding their consent as well.

After our last trip there I'd learned that I could download coupons from online sites and use them to save a little money.  I quickly grabbed my laptop and did a Google search, and once I found what I was looking for, I printed out the appropriate coupons.  Now that I had what I needed, I walked to the door and reached for the doorknob.

"Wait!  Are you sure the zombies are gone?" Glen asked as I was about to open the door.

"Yes, it's safe to do this now," I confirmed, as I silently chuckled that he had taken this more seriously than I'd first imagined.

Once we'd loaded into the car, I drove over to the local Chuck E. Cheese and we went inside.  I ordered two large pepperoni pizzas and a drink for each of us, and then I handed the cashier the appropriate coupons before paying.  We then sat down to eat, and Noah began telling the boys about the various things here.

Fortuitously, a show started while we were eating, so the boys watched it as they ate the pizza and downed their drinks.  As soon as they were done, I let them check out the animated figures next, and then I handed each of them twenty-five tokens.  I told them to decide how they wanted to use them and then set them free, but I stayed close to Glen because he would need the most help.

After they had used up all the tokens I'd given them, I told them it was time for me to take them home.  They didn't want to leave, but since there was nothing left for them to do they followed me out to the car.  Each boy thanked me for taking them there during the ride back, and then they were busy talking with each other about the various things they'd enjoyed the most.

"Thanks, that was fun," Gus said as he got out of the car.

"Yeah, I've never been to Chuck E. Cheese before and I had a good time," Sam agreed.

"I did too, and thanks for letting me go too," Glen added.

"You're all welcome and I'll see you next Saturday.  Oh, and Glen, I want to see your next report card too.  Gus can explain it to you, if you still want to keep doing these things with us."

My statement elicited a shocked expression on his face before he answered.  "Yeah, I want to keep doin' this with you, so I'll show you my report card too."

I wasn't sure if his initial reaction had meant that he hadn't heard about me telling the boys they had to keep their grades up, or maybe he was embarrassed about his grades.  It was also possible that he was just surprised that he might not be able to come with us again if he didn't show it to me, but I imagine I'll find out why he reacted that way in due time.

I hadn't even traveled a block down the street yet when Noah spoke up.  "You've got to rub my penis for me when we get to your house."

"You certainly aren't wasting any time, are you?"

"I need it bad, cuz you haven't done it to me since last Monday."

"No, it was actually Tuesday morning this time."

"Ok, but I wish you could do it for me every day, not just on the weekend."

"You know that's not possible."

"Yeah, so it's why we've got to do it as much as we can when I'm with you, so it will last me until the next time I'm here."

"I think that since I do it for you twice on Saturday, three times on Sunday, and again on Monday morning it should be enough to tide you over through the week."

"Yeah, but I still wish we could do it the other days too."

I had to rush to keep up with Noah once we got to the house, seeing he started to take off his clothes almost as soon as he got out of the car.  It's a good thing he's wearing more garments now that it's winter, otherwise my neighbors might have seen a bare butt before I'd unlocked the door.

I'd barely gotten my coat off and hung it up before he was yelling and asking what was taking so long, because he was already naked and laying on the bed waiting for me to begin.  I grabbed the baby oil before joining him and was squirting a little into my palm as I approached the bed.  He sighed as I reached over, stroked his scrotum briefly, and then grasped his erect member.

Noah was moaning while I masturbated him, and it almost sounded as if he was purring like a kitten to let me know he approved of what I was doing.  Once again I wrapped my hand around his shaft, rather than just using my thumb and two fingers, and he seemed to be enjoying this even more than usual.  He had a look of contentment on his face as I was doing it, and his head was slowly rolling from side to side on the pillow.  Eventually, I brought him over the edge and his body stiffened as his miniature fire hose released the precious fluids his body had just produced.

After he'd ejaculated and I'd drained his penis of the last few drops, he remained very still for a few seconds, as he swooned in his post-orgasmic bliss.  While I waited for him to return to the land of the living again, I grabbed a couple of tissues and cleaned up his abdomen, and a few seconds later he opened his eyes.

"Man, that was the best one yet.  I actually saw stars - well flashing lights when the stuff came out of my penis.  It's always been good, but that's never happened before."

"I'm not sure why this time was any different than the other times, since I didn't really do anything different, but I'm glad you enjoyed it.

As soon as he got dressed again, we went outside so Noah could play with the RC car for a while, and then we went out for our walk and showered before we had dinner.    After we ate, we went into the living room to watch a movie, and then I masturbated him again before we went to sleep.

Noah had me masturbate him again as soon as we woke up the next morning, and then we had breakfast.  Since Noah didn't have much homework this weekend, seeing he'd only been in school three days after getting back from the holiday, I let him watch TV.  He wanted to go outside, but I felt it was too cold out yet and told him he should wait until it warmed up a bit.  He didn't argue with me and went to watch cartoons instead, while I did other things.  Gus' birthday was on Friday, so I wanted to do something special for him, and I spent the time trying to think of what we could do.

Noah wanted me to masturbate him again before lunch, and then we went out to kick the soccer ball around after we finished eating.  He was doing better now, especially when I considered what he was like when we first started doing this.  In fact, I was impressed when I saw him dribble around the other boys when we played a pick-up game when they stayed over on New Year's Eve.  I was definitely willing to encourage and support him if he still wanted to go out for the school team in the fall.

Once we came inside again, I watched TV with him for a short time before we went out for a walk, showered, and ate.  When we went in to see what was on TV, I found the movie 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest', so we settled in to watch that next.

"That reminded me of some of the adventures we did with you," Noah stated when the movie ended.

"Yes, we've had a couple that included pirates, and who knows, we may do something like that again."

He seemed to like the idea and was more than satisfied as we were getting ready for bed.  Of course I had to masturbate him again before we went to sleep, and then he did the same thing to me.  After we'd both cleaned up, we cuddled together as we fell asleep.

Noah had me masturbate him one final time before we ate breakfast and then I took him home.  "Thanks for another fun weekend," he said as he was getting out of the car.  "I love you, Brian, and I'll see you next Saturday."

"Ok, baby boy, and I love you too."

I spent the week at work, and once I got home each night I would spend the time thinking about what I could do this weekend with the boys, since I wanted to do something special for Gus' birthday.  I came up with sort of a treasure hunt, since I felt Glen would enjoy that too, so now I just had to think of a way to pull it off.

I stopped to pick up a few things on my way home on Friday night, and then I spent the rest of the night hiding clues in preparation for doing this.  By the time I was ready to turn in for the evening, I felt everything was set, so all I had to do was to get up a little earlier than usual so I'd beat the boys to the park.

When I woke up the next morning, I got dressed, fixed myself a little something to eat, and grabbed my coat and a few other items before heading out the door.  Even though it was quite chilly out, I sat on our usual bench and waited for the boys to show up.  Noah got there first, followed a minute later by the other three.

"How come you're waiting here, and not in the car?" Noah wondered as the other three were approaching.

"I was sitting in the car when I noticed there was a note attached to the bench, so I came over to see if it was important."

"What does it say?" they all chorused back.

"Here.  You read it."  I handed the note to Gus.

"It says, 'I've hidden a special surprise for you, but you'll have to follow the clues if you want to find it.  I hope you don't go around in circles trying to figure it out'.  Does anyone know what that means?"

"I think so," Sam answered.  "The only thing that goes around in circles here is the merry-go-round."  As soon as he said that, the boys went charging over to that location.

"I found another clue," Sam said holding it up.  "This one says, ' Life is full of ups and downs, so I hope that doesn't stop you from finding the surprise'."

"The teeter totter," Noah squealed as he raced off in that direction.  Before long he was holding up another clue.

"This one says, ' You've gotten this far, so I hope figuring this out won't drive you crazy, because you've got a long way to go'."

"Does that mean we hafta get in your car?" Glen asked, looking puzzled.

"I don't know, maybe we should go check to see if there's a note there."

We all jogged over to my car and the boys started looking around.  "Hey, there's something under the windshield wiper on this side," Gus stated.  "I'll let Glen get it, since he figured it out,"

Glen suddenly stood a little straighter as he walked over and pulled the note out from under the wiper blade.  "Read it," the other boys urged.

"This one says, ' I hope you have the key and know how to use the car, because you've got miles to go before you solve this riddle'.  Does that mean you have to drive us to your house?"

"I think that's exactly what it means."

We all hopped into the car and I drove them to the house.  As soon as I pulled in the driveway, Glen asked another question.  "Where do we look now?"

"I don't know, so just get out and see if you can find another note."

They all started walking around when Noah yelled out.  "There a note on the door."

"Read it," the others urged as soon as he'd removed it.

"This one says, 'Everyone should have a goal, so what's yours?'  I'm not sure what that means."

"What's the key word this time?" I responded.

"Probably goal," Gus answered.

"So what do you think it means?"

"How about the soccer goals that we used when we stayed here on New Year's Eve?" he suggested next.

"It's possible, so go look."  They all sprinted to the closest goal.

"There's nothing here," Gus whined.

"How about the other goal?" Sam wondered, and the boys went racing there next.

"Yeah, here it is," Sam said holding it up.  "It says, 'Just 100 years ago a little building behind the house would've been an outhouse, or an outdoor toilet.  Is there one of those here?'  Ewww, they really had those?"

"Yes, there hasn't always been indoor plumbing and toilets that you could flush," I answered.

"So what's it mean?  You don't have one of those," Sam responded.

"But he's got a shed," Noah pointed out.  "That's a little building too."

Noah then turned and bolted in that direction, with the other boys following.  To my surprise and utter delight, he handed the note to Glen.

"You want me to read this?" Glen asked, and Noah nodded in response.  "K, it says, 'If you're a heat seeking missile you'll know where to head next, just don't get burned'.  So I guess we gotta go inside."

"Where's your furnace," Sam asked, so I showed him where it was, but there was nothing there.  "Man, I thought I'd find the next clue here."

"Maybe it meant the stove," Gus suggested, so the boys all hustled out to the kitchen.  Sure enough, the next clue was fastened to the handle on the over door.  "This one's just a song.  It says, 'Row, row, row your boat and it may get you closer to what you're looking for'.  Do you have a boat, Brian?"

"I'm afraid not."

"But he's got a rowing machine in the equipment room," Noah offered as he took off in that direction.  The others followed him, and before long he was reading the next note.  "This one says, 'There's no boogeyman under the bed, but have you checked out any of his other hiding places?'  Where else can we look?"

"Maybe the closet?" Sam said, not sounding convinced.  He looked around and located the closet in the room, but he looked at me before he opened it.

"Go ahead, it's ok."

It was a bi-fold door and he pulled it open.  "Hey, there's a cake on a tray in here.  It says, 'Happy Birthday, Gus'.  I guess this must be the surprise."

"Yes, it is, and Happy Birthday, Gus.  We'll have the cake a little later, after we've eaten first."

"That was fun," Glen squealed.  "And it was nice that you bought Gus a birthday cake.  Mom made one for him that we had last night after supper."

"Then he'll get to celebrate twice, but he only turns twelve once."  I said as I gave Gus a hug.  "And since it's your birthday, you get to choose where we go eat lunch."

"Can we go to CiCi's?  I like that place."

"We can, but don't you boys ever want something besides pizza?"

"Sometimes, but we really like pizza."

I was afraid he was going to pick something like this, but I told him it was his choice, so we put on our coats, hopped in the car, and I drove them there.  It's a good thing it's a buffet, because the boys moved through the various selections like a swarm of locust, and I felt bad for anyone who came after we got there.  Fortunately, the staff was busy replacing the items after we went back to the table to eat, so none of the other customers went hungry.

Each of the boys made multiple trips to get more, and once they were finally full, we went out and loaded into the car again.  "I have something else for you to do next, but maybe we should wait a while before we go there."

"Why?   What are we gonna do?" Gus wanted to know.

"Someplace you can have fun, but since you boys stuffed yourselves back there, I don't want you barfing all over the place."  They were all giggling over my comment.

"I think we're ok, cuz sometimes we have P.E. after lunch at school," Gus eventually replied.

"And at my school we go out on the playground and run around after lunch," Glen added.

"Ok, but if any of you lose your lunch, then I'm leaving you there," I teased.

"No he won't.  He's just joking," Noah quickly explained.

"I think you all know that I'd never leave any of you behind."

"So where are we going?" Sam pressed.

"Hang on and you'll soon find out."

I then drove over to 'The Bounce Palace'.  "I've never been here before, so what kind of place is this?" Gus asked.

"You'll like it," Noah quickly chimed in.  "Brian brought me here before, and it's fun."

After we went inside, the boys looked at the inflatable bounce houses and the little kids in the first area, and then Gus and Sam glanced over at me with confused expressions on their faces.

"This is only one of the areas here.  Noah, why don't you take Gus and Sam to the Space Hoppers while I stay here with Glen.  I think he'll enjoy this more, and I want you boys to stay there until I come get you."

"Ok, we can do that," they all agreed.

I took Glen into the first area and explained everything to him, and he opted to jump in the one filled with the balls first.  I let him do that for a while as he played with the younger kids, and I was impressed that he was so good with them.  He didn't try to show off, seeing he was older and bigger, and he was very careful around the other kids so he didn't hurt them.  When he tired of doing that, he went into one of the other 'Bounce Houses' and jumped around with the kids in there next.

"That was fun," he said when he came out to join me again.  "I've never done nothin' like that before, but I liked it.  Thanks for bringin' me and lettin' me do this."

"You're welcome, but let's go meet up with the other boys now."

When we got there, the other three seemed to be having a good time bouncing around and crashing into one another, so we went in to join them.  I had Glen grab one of the smaller Space Hoppers, and I took the largest one I could find and we began bouncing around with the others.  After doing that for a while, I suggested we move on to the next area.

"Yeah, ok, but I liked doing that," Gus informed me.

"I'm glad, and I think you'll like the next area even more."

When we got to the trampolines, Sam and Gus were too old and too large to use the first area, so I told them to go to the next area with Noah, while I got Glen started in the first area.  "Just let Noah show you some things first, and then you can do what he does."

Once they went inside, I led Glen over to the area for the smaller kids, and since they had two attendants, I let them explain how it worked to Glen.  There were a few other children in there already, so he watched what they were doing and then he started mimicking their actions.  He wasn't a daredevil like Noah, but he still seemed to be having a good time.

When he eventually got tired and came out to join me, I led him over to the other area next.  We spent some time watching the other three bounce up and down, and then I asked Glen a question.  "Do you want to go in and join them for a while?"

"Can I?"

"Yes, you're old enough to use this area too, and I think you were doing well enough to join the other boys."

"Ok.  Thanks."

I was impressed that the others helped Glen when he was first getting started, and they taught him a few tricks that Noah had showed them before we arrived.  I let them continue on for another half hour or more, and then I yelled to get their attention.  "I think it's time to head back to the house."

There was some grumbling because they wanted to stay longer, but I reminded them about the cake waiting for us.  "If you want to have a piece before I take you home, then we'd better get going."

That was enough to convince them, so they all put their shoes and coats on again and we left there.  "That was fun!" Gus said as we were driving away.  "Thanks for taking us there for my birthday."

"You're welcome, and I'm glad you enjoyed it."

"We did," the others chimed in.

When we got back to the house, I lit the candles on Gus' cake and we sang 'Happy Birthday' to him.  After he blew out the candles, I let him cut the cake.  "I've got chocolate and vanilla ice cream too, so just let me know what you want."

After I put a slice of cake on a plate for each boy, I ask them which ice cream they wanted and added that too.  We all enjoyed this little treat, and I'd already planned on doing something similar for each of the other boys on their birthdays as well.

When Glen went to use the toilet, I whispered something to Gus.  "You can tell your mom that I gave you a swimsuit for your birthday, but you decided to leave it here for now, since you'll only use it when you're with me.  That way you can take it home sometimes too."

"Yeah, that works out great!"

When we finished, I took the boys home, and I let Gus take the rest of the cake with him.  Noah told Gus to sit in the front seat this time, so no one would knock the cake off his lap.  I would have to thank Noah for doing that later.

"Thanks for everything, cuz I had a really nice time," Gus said as he got out of the car.

"I'm glad, and just make sure you don't drop the cake on the way to your apartment."

"Don't worry.  We'll make sure that doesn't happen," Sam quickly added, and I knew it meant he was hoping to have more cake too.

As I was driving back to the house with Noah, he looked at me and spoke.  "Thanks for doing that for Gus, and for taking the rest of us too.  I liked how you figured out how he could tell his mom about his swimsuit so he doesn't have to bring his shorts with him any more.  Will you do that with Sam too?"

"Of course, and I'll probably end up buying one for Glen as well, and I'll just tell him it's an early birthday present."

"Yes, that's good.  Now you just have to rub my penis for me when we get back."

The boy certainly has a one-track mind.
