"Now that you have made your phone call, I have a few to make myself. I'll

reason you boys must be careful" he added, "Unfortunately not everyone
agrees or understands the way we express our love for each other" Roy
said. "As long as Roy and I are around we will protect you but there might
come a day when we aren't" Bill said, "So you have to be smart" he
added. "Here we go" The waitress said with a smile as she brought the tray
of food and milkshakes to the table. "What do you say boys?" Bill asked,
"Thank You" all three boys said with a smile in unison. "Aw they're sweet"
She said, "Sometimes" Bill said with a chuckle. "Let me know if you need
anything else" the waitress said with a smile as she walked away. "I first
heard that awful word in nineteen forty nine when I was thirteen years old"
Bill said as he began to eat, "My buddy at the time and I had gone swimming
and on the bank enjoying a bit of fun like you boys do" he added. "Some
local thugs found us and beat us up pretty bad" he further added, "Someone
could beat you up grandad?" John asked shocked. "They sure did, they
whooped our butts but took five of them to do it" Bill replied with a
chuckle, "As you can see, I'm fine, but if I can save you boys from going
through that, I will" he added.

As their talked continued the boys finished their food and began to play in
their milkshakes, as they would dip a finger in and wipe someones nose with
the mixture and lick it off. "Bill they are licking each other in public"
Roy said quietly, "As long as it's just noses I think we call this a win"
Bill said with a laugh. When all was said and done they left the restaurant
with full hearts and bellies, and made their way back to the cabin.
