The morning came and most remained as they slept with the exception of Roy who had gotten up to drink coffee. The aroma of the coffee aroused Bubba from his slumber, he put his overalls on and joined Roy in the kitchen. "Good morning" Roy said softly, "Good morning friend, Bubba trying not to wake little boy" Bubba said with a smile. "Don't worry, he's a pretty sound sleeper" Roy said, "I got to pee!" Charlie exclaimed out and ran to the bathroom. "Normally anyway" Roy said with a chuckle as he passed Bubba a cup a coffee, "Thank yous" Bubba said as he accepted it and began to drink it. "I thought my peepee would explode" Charlie said with a giggle as he came into the kitchen, "Bubba can we go see Fred?" he added sweetly as he grabbed his heavyset friend's hand. "I want to tell him good morning" he further added, "Hey you haven't told us good morning" Roy said. "Oh yeah, good morning!" Charlie exclaimed with a bright smile, "Bubba like to go see Fred too" Bubba said and placed his coffee cup down before he led Charlie out the side door. "Good morning Fred" Bubba said happily as he entered the gate with Charlie behind him, the little boy began to hug and kiss his goat as Bubba gave Fred fresh food and water. Bubba watched as Charlie took a seat on the ground and started to tell Fred all about his life since he left the farm. "My butts kind of chilly" Charlie said with a giggle, Bubba took a seat on the ground next to the little boy and pulled him into his lap. He listened to Charlie's story intently as he hugged the naked little boy tightly, it helped him better understand his new family he had rapidly grown to love. Next door Ian sat in the middle of the bed as Bill and Ruth looked upon their son warmly, "Alright son, let's try this again, we want to hear your story and see how we can help" Bill said as he took Ruth's hand. "Well I don't rightly know if you can help" Ian said, "I reckon it isn't something you just fix" he added. "Well we won't know if we don't try" Bill said, "What do you want to know?" Ian asked. "Well let's start at the beginning" Bill replied. "We know you grew up in Harleyville South Carolina" he added, "Yeah with my pa, ma, and little brother JJ" Ian said. "Alright let's start there, can you tell us about them?" Bill asked, "Not much to tell really, pa worked in cement, ma stayed home with us youngins, and JJ was JJ" Ian replied. "Last night you mentioned something about your mother getting pregnant and your father getting sick" Bill said, "Right that was the start of alls of ours trouble" Ian said sadly. "Now Ian don't make yourself upset again if this is too hard for you to talk about" Ruth said softly. "I think I'm ok grandma" Ian said, "Anyways ma got knocked not long before pa got sick and it just messed everything up" he added. "What did he get sick with if you don't mind me asking?" Bill asked, "Sil..Sili..Silisomething I think" Ian replied. "Silicosis?" Bill asked, "Yeah that's it" Ian replied. "Terrible disease" Bill said, "Yeah he got really sick" Ian said. "With ma pregnant and pa sick they said they couldn't cope with us youngins around all the time" he added as his face began to scowl. "They made a deal with the people of the church to take me or JJ for a week" he further added, "And I rightly hated them for it" he continued as his eyes flared with anger. "Just calm yourself son, don't get worked up" Bill said, "How could they just get rid of us?" Ian asked rhetorically. "We was family" he added as he slammed his fist on the bed, "You don't just get rid of family because you can't cope" he added as he slammed his fist again. "Easy son" Bill said, "The plan was once the baby was born for us to become a family again" Ian said. "But I told my folks we weren't family anymore, I said to hell with him" he added as tears welled in his young eyes, "The only one I loved was JJ and the rest could go to hell" he further added as the tears started to stream down his face. "But I didn't mean it...I didn't..I was just so angry" he continued, "And now I can never say I'm sorry and they died thinking I hated them" he further continued as he began to cry openly and Bill grabbed him. "Listen son, I don't think your parents thought you hated them for one second" Bill said, "You.. don't?" Ian asked through snivels. "No I'm sure they knew you were just angry at the situation and possibly knew you had every right to be" Bill replied. "For as much regret as you have for saying sorry to them, I'm sure they passed with those same feelings for not making things right with you" he continued. "I reckon I never thought about it like that" Ian said, "How do you reckon they feel about me being here with ya'll now?" Ian asked. "Isn't that kind of like I moved on to a new family" he added sadly, "With the way you are acting it is clear that you still love them and they hold a special place in your heart" Bill replied. "As far as being here with us you call me grandad, and Ruth grandma" he added as he smiled at Ruth, "We never intended to replace your family son, only to add to it" he further added as he wiped the tears from Ian's face. "I reckon I never thought about it like that either" Ian said, "That's why you need to talk to us and let us help you sort this stuff out instead of bottling it up" Bill said. "But to me it's clear what needs to happen" he added, "It is?" Ian asked. "I think we need to go visit your family" Bill replied, "How wes gonna do that when they are dead?" Ian asked. "If they are deceased they have to be buried somewhere, I think it would do us good to go see their graves and let us all talk to them" Bill replied. "You, me, and Ruth" he added, "That sounds good to me" Ruth said. "You would do that for me?" Ian asked, "There isn't much I wouldn't do for my son" Bill said, "I'd move heaven and earth if need be" he added. "He would" Ruth said, Ian jumped into their arms as they all shared in a hug with kisses all around. "Well first thing I need to do is call William and Billy, they should know where your parents are buried and we will go from there" Bill said, "And while you do that, I will take this cutie and go get breakfast sorted" Ruth said as she stood up and picked Ian up into her arms. "Aren't I heavy?" Ian asked, "Don't worry your grandma is strong" Ruth replied as she flexed her free hand which made Ian chuckle. "All of him is cute" Bill said with a chuckle as he gently pinched Ian's naked butt, "Now cut that out" Ian said as he playfully pouted at Bill then broke out giggling. "When you call William and Billy you tell them I want to know how they are feeding these children" Ruth said, "I'll send your regards" Bill said with a smile and Ruth left the room with Ian. As they emerged into the living room they found Dwight stood with Hudson in his arms, "I see you got one too" Dwight said with a chuckle. "Grandma! Brudder!" Hudson exclaimed happily, Dwight whispered something into Hudson's ear as Ruth and Ian watched curiously. "Mr. Wogan my boyfwend" Hudson said happily, "I know he is honey" Ruth said. "No he means it, we became boyfriends officially last night" Dwight said as he leaned in and kissed Hudson gently on the lips, "About time" Ruth said. "Like for real?" Ian asked surprised, "Yes is that ok Ian?" Dwight asked. "Well I reckon so, do yous love him?" Ian asked, "More than I thought possible" Dwight replied. "Ok but if you makes him sad you answer to me" Ian said as he pointed his thumb at his chest, "That's my boy" Ruth said with a chuckle. "I'll remember that" Dwight said with a grin, "You'll still suck our willies and stuff right?" Ian asked concerned. "Of course little brother I love all of you and look forward to the fun we have" Dwight replied, "Wow Hudson got a boyfriend before Is did" Ian said. "Oh honey don't worry about that, you have plenty of time, you will find you someone one of these days, too cute not to" Ruth said and kissed Ian on the cheek making him blush. "I'm happy for you both" she added and kissed Dwight then Hudson, before she took Ian into the kitchen to start breakfast. "This calls for a waffle celebration!" Ruth exclaimed, "Waffles!" Hudson exclaimed. "You two are now boyfriends?" John asked excitedly as he appeared, "That's right, I hope you support us" Dwight replied. "Of course, having a boyfriend is the best" John said, "Yes it is" Henry said as he appeared next. "Though your boyfriend isn't as cute as mine" John said, "Or mine" Henry said as the two grinned at each other. "No mine is way cuter" Dwight said with a laugh, "Hey!" John, "Hey!" Henry exclaimed at the same time as Cheryl and Katherine appeared behind them. "Sissy!" Hudson exclaimed as Cheryl approached, "You two knock it off" Cheryl said with a grin as she ushered John and Henry into the kitchen after a kiss on the cheek to Dwight and Hudson. "Hey Sissy" Hudson said with a smile as Katherine approached next, "As I said last night you two are really cute together and make a very cute couple" Katherine said. "Why thank you mam, you know I need to thank you honestly, our talk last night helped me finally break through that barrier to make this possible" Dwight said. "I guess we helped each other then, because you helped me better understand things" Katherine said. "Ruth was right as always, we are a lot alike" she said, "I heard that" Ruth said softly which made Dwight and Katherine chuckle. "Both shamed in our lives for who we choose to love and to finally find it once we accepted who we are" Katherine said, "You can no more change who you love than I can, it took me a long time to accept that" she added. "Yes mam I guess I was worried how people would react to me being in a relationship with a four year old, but then again they don't approve of me loving boys period" Dwight said, "Take it from me, to hell with what people think" Katherine said. "Language!" Ruth exclaimed, "I wish I had learned that sooner" Katherine said. "You must protect yourself because of the legal aspect of course but you two obviously love each other very much" she added. "Yes mam I do love him a lot" Dwight said, "It will be a relationship like any other, it will come with challenges and things you must deal with as a couple" Katherine said. "Yes mam this will be my first relationship" Dwight said, "Now where are you going on your first date?" Katherine asked with a smile. "Date?" Dwight asked, "Of course, you are a couple now, you need to go on dates, that's part of being in a relationship" Katherine said, "It's like I told John and Henry you can't just stay at home all the time and have sex" she added. "We like staying at home and having sex!" John exclaimed out, "Yes we do!" Henry exclaimed next. "What ? We do?" John asked as he shrugged his shoulders when he saw the look his mom gave him, "Be that as it may, Katherine is right one date won't kill you" Cheryl said. "You're one to talk" Katherine said with a chuckle as she turned to the kitchen to face Cheryl, "Excuse me" Cheryl said with a grin. "I had to make you agree to one date night a week or that is all we would be doing too" Katherine said which made John and Henry look at Cheryl. "What? It feels good" Cheryl said, John and Henry nodded their heads in agreement as all three looked back to Dwight and Katherine. "Sorry, where were we?" Katherine asked as she turned back to Dwight, "Right you and Hudson going on a date" she added. "Honestly mam I haven't thought about dates" Dwight said. "I think it would be great for both of you, of course you can't do anything too obvious in public" Katherine said, "But from all appearances you would be a father and son" she added. "Cheryl and I are going to do a double date with John and Henry soon" she further added, "Why don't you two join us? it will be fun" she continued. "You want to go out on a date Hudson?" Dwight asked as he looked into the face of his little boyfriend, "What a date?" Hudson asked. "I think we are going to find that out together" Dwight replied, "As boyfriends" he added with a smile. "Feels good to say it doesn't it ?" Katherine asked warmly, "Feels amazing and freeing to be honest mam" Dwight replied. "Thank you" he added as wrapped his arm around Katherine, "I'm happy for you both" Katherine said and kissed Dwight's cheek as her hand groped his naked butt. "I'm so sorry mam, I was headed to get dressed when grandma came in" Dwight said embarrassed as his cheeks flushed, "I guess I forgot" he added nervously. In the bedroom Bill had showered, shaved, and dressed for the day, he was now ready to make his phone calls. He picked up phone and called The Sheltering Arms Childcare Center office number, "Sheltering Arms" William said as he answered the phone. "William it's Bill Ravencroft, I'm so glad you are there on a Saturday" Bill said, "Well hey Bill, and yep me and Billy are here a lot" William said. "How can I help you?" he added, "Well it's Ian" Bill said and went on to explain everything, "Poor kid, I told you hes' had it rough" William said. "Yeah that's why I want to take him to visit his families graves to see if we can help bring him some sense of closure" Bill said. "But I don't know where to start, do you know where they are buried ?" he added, "Let me pull his file" William said as he opened his file cabinet and retrieved Ian's file. "From my records it indicates First United Methodist Church of Harleyville" William said, "From what I remember the bodies were never claimed so they were cremated and the church took the ashes and buried them" he added. "Thank you so much, that tells me where we need to go" Bill said, "You're welcome you just take care of Ian" William said. "I got to admit we miss him and Hudson around here" he added, "No reason why you can't come visit, I told you that" Bill said, "I know we will, it's just hard, we are so busy most of the time because we are a charity run home, we don't get much help from the state" William said. "Look before I go Ruth wants to talk to you about the food situation there" Bill said, "Honestly we do the best we can you know?, again charity..we make sure every child is fed but it's not always what they want or the most nutritious" William said. "I'll talk with her, there might be something we can do about that" Bill said, "Listen I'll let you go, I need to make another phone call, thank you again" he added. "You're welcome Bill, enjoy the rest of your day" William said and the pair hung up. Bill sighed and next dialed his attorney George Fremont, "Hello?" Mr. Fremont asked sleepily, "George good morning, it's Bill" Bill said. "I must be having a nightmare" Mr. Fremont said, "I know Bill Ravencroft isn't waking me up on a Saturday morning" he added. "What do you want Bill?" he further added, "Now George don't be like that" Bill said. "You never call to just say hello, never hey George want to go play golf, or hey George I hope all is well, no it's here George here is a giant legal mess for you to clean up" Mr. Fremont said grumpily. "Or here is some crazy idea I have I need help with or here fix this, I messed it up" he added grumpily, "Now George that hurts, you know I love you, you want to go play golf next week?" Bill asked. "What do you want Bill?" Mr. Fremont asked, "I need a private plane chartered to get me to Harleyville, South Carolina pronto, me, my wife and son" Bill replied and went on to tell him the situation. "Today?!" Mr. Fremont exclaimed, "Yes today" Bill said. "How do you expect me to arrange this on such short notice?" Mr. Fremont asked, "Because you are the best attorney around" Bill replied. "Ok, let me work on this, I'll make the arrangements and call you back in a bit" Mr. Fremont said with a heavy sigh. "Thanks George you are the best, I also have some other matters to discuss" Bill said and a click of the phone was heard as Mr. Fremont hung up. "What a grump" Bill said with a chuckle as he hung up the phone and went into the kitchen, "Breakfast is almost done" Ruth said and Bill kissed her on the cheek. "George is making the arrangements now" Bill said, "Good after breakfast I'll pack us a bag just in case we need to stay the night" Ruth said. "Grandad!" Hudson exclaimed, "Wait, you're leaving again?" John asked sadly. Bill sighed and walked over to the table where John sat and picked him up into his arms. "Look son there is something important your grandma and I need to do with Ian" Bill said, "But" John said as he looked sadly at Bill. "You just got back" he added sadly, "I know and I'm sorry son, when we get back this time we'll do something special just you and me" Bill said. "And Henry?" John asked, "Of course and Henry" Bill replied as he smiled at Henry, who smiled back. "You two just figure out what you want to do while we're gone, and we should only be gone one night at the max, it's not a week long trip again" he added. "Ok" John said softly, "I love you son" Bill said emotionally. "I love you too grandad" John said and kissed Bill on the lips and hugged his neck. "You're leaving today?" Cheryl asked surprised, "Yes something has come up unexpectedly that we need to handle, we will leave you two in charge, you also have Dwight, Bubba, and Roy" Bill replied. "We will have more than enough help but still it's a shock" Cheryl said, "I wanted to talk to you two about something but it will have to wait until we get back now" Bill said. "Speaking of Dwight" Ruth said as she turned around from where she stood at the stove, "Go on tell Bill the good news" she added warmly. "Hudson and I are now officially boyfriends sir" Dwight said and Bill's expression on his face changed. "You mean you come into my home, put the moves on my son, just what are your intentions with my youngest son?" Bill asked as he tried to keep a straight face and Dwight started to panic. "Dad!" Cheryl exclaimed, "I'm just kidding son, I couldn't be happier for you two" Bill said as he broke out in laughter and patted Dwight's back. "Not funny dad" Cheryl said, "No it was not" Ruth said sternly. "I'm sorry son, just having a bit of fun, like I said I couldn't be happier, it's every parents wish their child finds someone to love, and you are one fine young man" Bill said warmly. "Thank you sir that means a lot" Dwight said, "After breakfast I got something to show you" Bill said with a grin. "Can I have him?" he added as he indicated to Hudson, "Oh of course sir" Dwight said and Bill picked Hudson up. "Grandad!" Hudson said brightly, "Look at you getting a boyfriend at four years old, who said you could grow up on me" Bill said with a grin. "Mr. Wogan my boyfwend" Hudson said, "You know how to pick em" Bill said. "I might even be jealous" he added with a chuckle which made Dwight blush, "I know Roy will be" he further added which made Dwight blush redder. "Now when is the wedding?" Bill asked with a chuckle as he looked to Dwight, "Honestly dad" Cheryl said. "True you two need to get married first and get to work on that granddaughter I've been promised" Bill said. "Grandaughter?" John asked, "Wait I'm getting a sister?" he added. "That would mean I'd get a sister too" Henry said, "No pressure dad" Cheryl said. "Bill, you are too much" Katherine said with a chuckle, "Tell me about it" Cheryl said. "What? I just want all of my children happy, you can't blame me there" Bill said. "Yes but it's our decision like it should have been our decision to mention anything about possibly having more kids" Cheryl said. "I would like a sister to do girly stuff with" Henry said, "I'll do girly stuff with you" John said. "Yes but you don't really enjoy it like I do" Henry said, "True" John said. "You'll have to forgive me" Bill said with a sigh, "I just get overly excited" he added. "It's ok dad" Cheryl said, "Honestly I'm warming up to the idea" Katherine said. "Wait really?" Cheryl asked surprised, "Yes" Katherine replied with a smile. "Alright everyone if we can all settle down, breakfast is ready" Ruth said, and the adults all worked together to get everyone's food and drinks fixed. After a hearty breakfast full of smiles, Bill took Dwight outside to the truck he had purchased for him while Hudson played with the other boys. "Nice truck sir" Dwight said, "I'm glad you like it, it's yours" Bill said and tossed Dwight the keys. "Wait, you're giving this to me?" Dwight asked surprised, "More like trading, we want to turn your Jeep into Fred's personal carriage" Bill replied with a chuckle. "I'm speechless" Dwight said, "Consider it an early wedding present" Bill said. "Honestly sir I don't know if I can accept this" Dwight said, "Why? You are my son, if I could I'd adopt you" Bill replied. "You know I've never had a father, thank you sir, this means everything" Dwight said emotionally as he hugged Bill, "You're welcome son, when we get back I want you to invite your mom over, we have things to discuss and I want you to introduce Hudson to her" Bill said as they hugged. "Oh?" Dwight asked as Ruth stuck her head out the door to call Bill to the phone, "I need to take this, you take your truck for a spin" Bill said warmly as they broke their hug. "Thank you again sir" Dwight said as he opened the door to his new truck and Bill went inside the house to the phone, as expected it was Mr. Fremont. "Alright Bill, the plane has been chartered, you will touch down in St. George and I have arranged a car to be waiting that will take you to Harleyville and anywhere else you want to go" Mr. Fremont said and gave Bill all the details, "This is why you are the best George" Bill said. "Save it, I'll see you next week for golf" Mr. Fremont said, "Aw George so you do like me" Bill said. "No I just know you hate golf and I want to make you endure it" Mr. Fremont said with a laugh, "I think you really do want to spend time with me, I'm touched George" Bill said and he heard the click of the phone as Mr. Fremont had hung up on him again. The day passed until Bill, Ruth, and Ian touched down in St. George South Carolina shortly after one pm. "You would be the Ravencrofts?" The man in the uniform standing next to the 1990 Rolls Royce Phantom VI asked, "That would be us" Bill said with a smile. "I'm Bill, this is my wife Ruth, and my son Ian" he added and Ian gave a little wave. "My name is Charles Powell, I have been assigned to look after you all today and see that your needs are met" Charles said, "Well Charles it sounds like we are in good hands" Bill said with a smile and Charles opened the door to the car to usher them inside. On the drive to the church, "Little flashy" Bill said as he looked around, "George is just looking after us, you know dear you do put that man through a lot, we need to find a way to make him feel appreciated" Ruth said softly. "So I've been told" Bill said with a sigh, and he and Ruth noticed looked distressed and quiet, "Are you ok son?" Bill asked. "I reckon, I just don't know..I never thought I'd be back here so soon" Ian replied emotionally, "Well we are together, you are not alone, we are doing this as a family remember that" Bill said. "Yes sweetheart, we are here for you" Ruth said, "I know" Ian said softly. When they arrived at the Methodist Church a young man in a suit stood outside to greet them, "Pastor Eubanks it's so nice to meet you" the man said. "Nice to meet you too" Bill said, "When your attorney called I must say I was surprised" P. Eubanks said. "Wait, is that little Ian Sparks?" he added as he knelt down to look Ian in the face. "Howdy Pastor Eubanks" Ian said softly and the young pastor pulled him into a hug, "Oh how I have prayed for you and JJ every day" P. Eubanks said as their hug broke. "Where is JJ?" he added and Ian's face took on a look of shock and horror, Bill stepped in between the pair and P. Eubanks stood up to look Bill in the eyes as Ruth saw to Ian. "Is this some kind of sick joke?" Bill asked, "You are upsetting my son" he added. "I'm sorry, I meant no harm, I just thought you would have adopted both" P. Eubanks said, "I would have if they were both alive" Bill said. "I don't understand" P. Eubanks said, "Both survived the storm did something happen to JJ afterwards?" he added confused. "Ok now I'm confused, what do you mean both survived the storm? I was told JJ perished along with his parents" Bill replied. "I can assure you they both survived, I personally went and visited them, I prayed for them both as they were still in comas" P. Eubanks said. "I never did understand why they were sent to separate hospitals" he added, "You mean JJ is alive?" Ian asked shocked. "I don't know son but we damn sure are going to find out" Bill replied, "Language" Ruth said sternly. "Can I use your phone?" Bill asked, "Sir there is no need, you can use this one" Charles said and brought out a mobile phone from the car. "As I said sir I am to see to your every need" he added with a smile, "You are a good man Charles" Bill said. "Pastor Eubanks, do you remember the names of the hospital JJ was in?" Bill asked as he turned to look at the young pastor, "Ian was sent to Holly Hill if I remember correctly and JJ was in Regional Medical over in Orangeburg" P. Eubanks replied. Bill picked up the phone and called Mr. Fremont, "Oh no you are calling me again" Mr. Fremont said, "Just what have you done now?" he added. "Look George this is serious, I need you to jump on this" Bill replied and went into all the details he had on JJ, "I need to find out what happened to this child" he concluded with. "Alright I'll jump right on it since it's for a child" Mr. Fremont said, "I'll see what I can find, how do I reach you?" he added and Bill asked Charles for the number of the mobile phone. He relayed it to Mr. Fremont then, "And George if we find out there was a mix up and these boys have needlessly separated, whoever is responsible better hold on to their ass" Bill said. "Language!" Ruth exclaimed, "Alright Bill we'll sort it out" Mr. Fremont said and the pair hung up. Bill knelt down to look at Ian who held Ruth's hand, "Son now don't get your hopes up just yet, we don't know for sure ok?" Bill said, "Ok" Ian said softly. "But if he is and it's possible for us to do so we will make a home for him too" Bill said and Ian nodded his head as his emotions and mind raced, not sure how to process the fact his brother might still be alive. "While we wait on him to call back let's do what we came to do" Bill said softly, "Of course, I do hope you can find JJ, that's very worrying" P. Eubanks said as he led the family to the graves of Ian's parents. "This is them, I'll leave you to it, I'll be in the church if you all need to speak afterwards" he added and left to go inside the church. "Can you say something first?" Ian asked emotionally as he looked up at Bill, "Sure son" Bill replied and stepped forward in front of the graves. "This is hard" Bill said and cleared his throat, "Mr. and Mrs. Sparks my name is Bill Ravencroft, my wife Ruth and I know you know Ian" Bill said as he turned to look at his family then back to the graves. "I never got the pleasure of knowing you but you must have been very fine people to raise such a fine young man like Ian" he added emotionally, "I regret that you can't be here to continue his rearing but don't worry, I will do everything I can to see he becomes the type of man you would want him to be" he further added. "I hope my wife and I have your blessing to do so and if we find that your other son is still alive, we will do the same with him too if given the opportunity" he continued. "Thank you" he further continued as he nodded his head and returned beside Ruth, they looked down at Ian who looked up at them and then stepped forward. "Ma..Pa.." Ian said, "It's Ian..but I reckon you know that" he added as he wrung his little hands nervously. "Look I'm mighty sorry for the way Is spoke when we last saw each other" he further added emotionally, "So..so..sorry" he continued as he got more emotionally and dropped to his knees in front of the graves. Bill and Ruth quickly were on either side of him as he unleashed all of his pent up emotions and feelings. Ian was reduced to a quivering mess and was carried into the church by Bill and Ruth to calm him down. They comforted and loved on the little boy with help from Pastor Eubanks for over an hour until Charles let Bill know he had a phone call. "Bill I have good news, he is alive, I don't know how in the hell they got separated but he is alive" Mr. Fremont said. "Look William and I have been in contact and he is waiting your call, there is a lot to this and I'll sort out the legal end because I know what you are going to do" he added. "You actually sound agreeable for once George" Bill said, "Only because kids are involved, you're still off the Christmas card list" George said with a chuckle and hung up the phone. Bill next called William, "Bill hey I have been awaiting your call" William said, "That's what George tells me" Bill said. "He's such a nice guy" William said, "Are we talking about the same person?" Bill asked with a laugh. "So tell me about JJ" he added, "Look George and I have been trying to piece this all together while playing phone tag" William said, "It looks as if they were separated because they were found at two different locations, that's why they were sent to two different hospitals, and no familial connection was established" he added. "They both were in comas quite a while and when they awoke they could tell the staff their names but even though they shared the same last name there was no connection made" he further added, "This is a mess to be honest" he continued. "It sounds like one, is there a chance we can give him a home with Ian?" Bill asked, "Well actually yes he needs a home, he is at a center we have connections with" William replied. "Well great make the arrangements and we'll go pick him up, let George handle anything you need legally" Bill said, "Not so fast Bill, there are facts you must know before making that decision" William said. "For starters JJ is mute, he hasn't spoken since he awoke from his coma, the doctors feel it is selective mutism brought on by the trauma, it is extremely rare but does happen" he added. "What does that matter?" Bill asked, "He uses a mix of sign language and a board to write on for words or pictures to convey how he feels mostly" William replied. "If the person he is trying to communicate with doesn't understand him he gets easily frustrated and will pitch a fit, it has made finding him a home extremely difficult" he added. "Are you suggesting I wouldn't want him because of this?" Bill asked, "Well most people don't Bill, that's why he still needs a home" William replied.
