In the manor the family excitedly prepared for the celebration, everyone
bathed or showered and it was time to get dressed. "Henry sweetheart I
can't wait for you to see what we got you to wear" Katherine said as she

Cheryl replied as she adjusted John's blue bow tie which completed his
outfit of blue tuxedo vest, white dress shirt, and khaki dress pants.

"This is so dumb" John whined, "Oh I think you look really cute" Henry said
and gave John a kiss on the cheek. "Really?!" John asked excitedly as he
glanced to Henry, "Yes" Henry said. "That's the first time he's smiled
since we started this" Cheryl said with a chuckle, "What? If Henry likes it
then it's ok" John said. "Oh I do" Henry said, "And this is for you
princess Henry" Katherine said with as she pulled a satin pink dress with
lace embellishments from the closet. "It's so pretty!" Henry exclaimed,
"Let me see" John said as he tried to twist around. "Hold still a minute,
almost got it" Cheryl said as she made final adjustments, "There now you
can look" she added. "It's a real princess dress!" John exclaimed, "Come on
let's get you in it" Katherine said and she along with Cheryl helped Henry
get into his dress.

"Now we can't forget this" Katherine said as she pulled out a rhinestone
tiara headband and placed it on Henry's head. "Wow you look like a real
princess" John said with starry eyes, "Thank you" Henry said as his face
blushed. "Prince John and princess Henry are now ready for the ball"
Katherine said with a grin, "I am not a prince, I'm a knight" John said as
he pouted at Katherine. "Why aren't you a prince?" Katherine asked,
"Because princes just stand around in dumb clothes like these, knights are
cool and fight to protect the princess" John replied which caused Cheryl
and Katherine to giggle. "Alright my little knight you take your princess
and we will be down in a minute" Cheryl said softly, "And remember think of
this like date night, just enjoy being together" Katherine said. "Come on"
John said as he took Henry's hand and the pair left the room. "Those two
are really cute together" Katherine said, "I know" Cheryl said with a
smile. "Now how about you my queen? Shall we get ready too?" she added,
"What did I tell you about that queen talk?" Katherine asked with a
chuckle.

"Apologies my queen" Cheryl replied with a smirk, "But yes we do need to
get ready" Katherine said with a grin. "Now don't you look handsome"
Christine said with a smile as she entered Dwight's bedroom to find him
stood in a black tuxedo. "I think it's a little much" Dwight said, "You can
blame me, I told Ruth you didn't go to prom so it was decided we'd make
tonight like a mini prom for you and Hudson as we celebrated. "I'm sorry
momma" Dwight said emotionally, "For what honey?" Christine asked. "For
making you miss out on moments like that, seeing me go to prom, I know it
was a big deal for my friends and their parents" Dwight replied. "Oh honey
don't think like that, I did hate that you didn't go to prom but not for my

said, "Maybe it can be a prom for all three of us then" Dwight said.

they got to the foyer Bill and Ruth stood in the living room with Hudson in

Ruth asked with a smile, "I'd be honored" Bill said as he wrapped his arm
around Ruth's and began to walk her to the banquet house also. "Looking
handsome there Charlie" Roy with a grin after he helped his grandson get
his dress clothes on in his bedroom, "Poppa do I have to wear this?"
Charlie whined. "It's just for tonight" Roy replied, "Ok.." Charlie
said. "Now let's go" Roy said as he picked Charlie up and began to carry
him downstairs where they found Bubba dressed up. "You want to walk over
with us Bubba?" Roy asked, "Bubba want to call Sam first" Bubba
replied. "Oh ok well join us when you are done with your call" Roy said,
"Bubba will" Bubba said with a grin. "Bye Bubba" Charlie said with a wave
as he and Roy left out the door and made their way to the banquet
house. Soon all the family with the exception of Bubba were gathered in the
banquet house dressed in their finery with Roy in the DJ booth. "It is the
birth of DJ to the max Maxwell" Roy said dramatically over the loud speaker
which received groans, "Poppa you're being silly" Charlie said with a
giggle.

"Everyone's a critic, alright let's get this party started" Roy said and
started to play music. "Roy is sure getting into character" Bill asked with
a chuckle as he held on to Ruth and danced, "Oh let him be, he's having a
good time" Ruth replied as they danced. "Well handsome we did it, got all
our family in one location, are you happy?" she added, "Oh darling, I'm
honestly over the moon, but we couldn't have done it without you" Bill said
emotionally. "You know this is the first date we have had in a while" Bill

with a chuckle as she danced with Cheryl and Roxanne, "I'm surprised they

"To be fair all I'm thinking about is getting back to our house, putting
Roxanne to bed, and getting you out of that dress my queen" she added with
a grin. "I'm sure you are" Katherine said as she grinned back, "But for
now, let's just enjoy this" she added. "You fellas know how to dance?" Ian
asked as he stood with Charlie and JJ, "Yep like this" Charlie said as he
began to dance in place. "That's it Charlie, get down" Roy said with a
laugh as Ian and JJ began to copy his movements. "I'm not sure if this is
exactly like prom, but I'm glad to be here with my little boyfriend and you
momma" Dwight said emotionally with Hudson in his arms as they danced with

replied. "Oks" Bubba said as Roy left the room and returned shortly with
Bill in tow. "Now what is this about?" Bill asked as they all three stood
in the living room, Roy then explained to him and Bubba what Tammy had said
about Sam. "Bubba gots to go help Sam" Bubba said as he stood up, "We will
Bubba I promise just trust us" Roy said.

"Well it's obvious we have to get there and quick, it will take too long to
drive, I wonder if we can get an emergency flight out" Bill said. "You are
about to call Mr. Fremont aren't you?" Roy asked as Bill picked up the
phone, "He's the only one that I know of that can help me arrange something
quickly" Bill said with a sigh. "He's not going to be happy" Roy said, "He
never is" Bill said with a chuckle and dialed Mr. Fremont's home. "Hello!
Who is this?" Mr. Fremont asked quickly as he answered the phone, "George
it's Bill, I.." Bill said. "Bill? What on earth are you doing calling my
home?" Mr. Fremont interjected grumpily, "Wait, is that my Billie boy?"
Carter asked. "Will you shut up" Mr. Fremont said, "¡Ay, qué rico,

Mr. Fremont said with a sigh and hung up. "Damn what's going on over there?

I expected to find" Bill said. "Will we help Sam?" Bubba asked, "Yes Bubba,
we are leaving out tonight just soon as we can get a flight" Bill
replied. "I might ask Katherine to come with us to help with the two young
girls" he added. "That might not be a bad idea honestly" Roy said, "Little
Allison and Little Olivia are very sweet little girls" Bubba said. "I know
Bubba and we will help them all" Bill said as they dispersed to put on more
casual clothes and get ready to fly out.

Once they were ready they joined back together in the living room, "Alright
you two stay by the phone, I'm going to go let the others know what's going
on" Bill said and left for the banquet house, when he arrived Christine was
in the DJ booth and slow music played. "You certainly look like you belong
there" Bill said with a grin, "During my stripper days I learned how to
work all this" Christine said.  "Things seemed to have quieted down here
some" Bill said as he surveyed the room, John and Henry slow danced next to
Cheryl and Katherine, Dwight held Hudson in his arms as they swayed to the

together, and Ruth slow danced with Ian and JJ. "Like any man, they just
needed to pop their corks so they could concentrate, blood flow problems as
it were" Christine said with a laugh, "Once they did they calmed down and
started to enjoy it" she added.

"They are something else" Bill said with a chuckle, "Just look how sweet
they are though, I don't think I will ever get enough of seeing Dwight

tournaments but he never once smiled as bright as when he is with Hudson"
she added emotionally. "I'm glad you both are happy, it's what this is all
about, now if you'll excuse me I need to go talk to my wife" Bill said and
went to find Ruth. "You just take care of that family, and you bring them
back here" Ruth said after Bill explained the situation, "We'll look after
them" she added. "That's the plan" Bill said, "I know you got things here
darling" he added, "Of course, you just go do what I said handsome" Ruth
said and the pair kissed passionately. "I'm going to ask Katherine to come
with us, the two young girls might do better if a female was with us" Bill
said after their kiss broke.

"I think that's smart, they might be nervous with all the new faces" Ruth
said, "Let me go ask her if she'll come with us" Bill said and went to talk
to Katherine. "Oh how horrible" Katherine said after Bill explained the
situation, "Of course I'll come with you and help where I can" she
added. "I hate to impose" Bill said, "It's no problem, let me go get myself
ready to head out" Katherine said. "Rain check on getting me out of this

pick up where we left off when you get home" Cheryl said and the pair
kissed passionately. "Enjoy your talk with the boys" Katherine said after
their kiss and left to get ready, "Thank you for including her dad, even if
you did ruin my evening plans" Cheryl said with a laugh. "Hey don't feel
bad, I had plans myself with your mom" Bill said, "But this is a situation
Roy and I helped cause, we must go make it right" he added.  "I understand,
it sounds like they really are in a bad way, go help them we got everything
handled here" Cheryl said, "Hey Bill, George just called, we're wheels up
as soon as we can get there" Roy said as he placed his hand on Bill's
shoulder.

"Coming" Bill said, "Love you honey" he added to Cheryl. "Love you too dad,
I'm going to go find mom" Cheryl said and went to find Ruth while Bill went
to stand by the door to wait on Roy to leave. Roy went over to Charlie,
"Charlie did you ever meet a man named Sam or maybe his kids when you lived
on the farm?" Roy asked. "Nope when strangers came to the farm I was locked
in my room until they left" Charlie replied sadly, "And I wasn't allowed to
play with any other kids" he added as he frowned. "Poppa is Sam Bubba's
friend?" he added, "Yes son, and he has three children, one your age, their
family is in trouble and need our help so I thought maybe you could come
with us" Roy said. "I think the kids could probably really use a friend
right now" he added. "I can be their friend poppa" Charlie said, "Is that

and they left with Bill to join up with Bubba and Katherine to head to
Kansas. Cheryl and Ruth talked briefly about the situation, "I guess with
everything like it is we should go ahead and get the boys bedded down in

you, they are in the box over there, while I tend to Roxanne" Ruth said as

"Ok" Ian said, "Boys it's time for us to head over to the cabins, but why
