Strike two Chapter 10 The next two days the boys practice everyday with Blake and without him. The only reason he wasn't at practices was because he had to get his summer wrestling team ready for the AAU tournament at the end of July . Strike two Chapter 10 Adian had all his clothes packed that he was going to take with him for the state tournament. He was kind of sad that Scott and Jake wouldn't be going with to the tournament. The two boys had become close friends sharing everything. Even after Adian got his own room after the second week staying at the Holands. Either Scott or Adian would come to one or the others bedroom to sleep every night. There was never anything sexual between the two boys. they Just enjoyed the company of the other boy. Not surprisingly Adian would also sleep in the same bed as Scott and his boyfriend Eric Boyer. It was usually after the two boys had sex, but Adian didn't mind the smell of sex. He thought the smell kind of smelled cool and he liked it. But he would be without his foster brother this weekend. Scott's baseball Team had also qualified for the State tournament, but his games were being played at the Blaine sports center and to Adian that was like a hundred miles away. Scott's first game started at eleven. In fact there are seven Teams from Wilton playing in the cities that weekend. The 10 year old team, Two eleven year old teams, Three twelve year old teams and the fourteen year old team. The following weekend three more teams would be playing in a state championship tournament. Since Blake took over the Wilton Baseball Association, Coaches were required to go through coaching camps and training before they were allowed to coach a team, it was a struggle the first year, However when The coaches who did not go through the training camps failed to produce winning teams, they changed their minds. Now Wilton had one of the more successful baseball teams in the state. Adian would be riding down with Aaron and his dad and would be staying with them during the tournament. That was decided when the Hooper's hotel arrangements had gotten messed up and they decided to stay with family. Truth be told, Adian and Eric had a falling out. It seemed that Eric did get jealous of his little brothers friendship with Adian. Adian saw how the brothers treated their little brother and Adian decided he would rather be friends with him and help him improve his baseball skills. His skills had improved and he began listening to what coach Holand would ask of him. Blake had even added Braden to the teams roster as a substitute player. Aaron and his father, helped Adian load his equipment into the back of the SUV. Once they had Adian's equipment stored, Adian gave Mary a hug, then gave Jake a kiss goodbye and said he would see them tomorrow afternoon. Adian and Aaron sat in the back seat of the Chevy Tahoe, the two boys were fast asleep even before they made it halfway. Once in the cities the noise woke the boys just as they pulled up to the Bloomington Hilton. It was still early, so the boys went down to the swimming pool before they went out to eat. Once in the pool the two boys goofed around, they were hoping to see some of their team mates but no one showed up. After having some fun in the pool the boys got out and went back to the room. When they got there they had a little surprise. John had the door opened between the rooms and they found out they had a room to themselves. Just like before when Adian stayed with Scott in the hotel they had to keep the door opened unless they were changing, sleeping or if John had company. John's wife had decided to sit out this tournament, stating that she had to much work to catch up on for the coming school year. It didn't really matter because John would rather spend the time with his adopted son. In fact he was considering divorcing Kelly, There was no love in their relationship. The only reason he has continued their marriage was for the sake of Aaron. The only reason they had gotten married in the first place was because Kelly and John thought she was pregnant. Four months into the pregnancy Kelly lost the child after getting chicken pox. They had tried several times to conceive another child but were unable to. That is when they decided to adopt. It was actually Johns idea to adopt and Kelly went along with the idea. At first she loved the boy with all her heart, but as time went on she wanted a child of her own. After several doctors and specialist Kelly found out she could never conceive a child. You would think this would help love the child she helped adopt. Instead she left the child rearing to John who actually excelled, he woke up when Aaron fussed during the night. Potty trained him, bathed him and played with him when he wasn't working. The only reason he hasn't divorced her yet was because until recently his job wasn't paying him enough to allow him to raise the boy alone. Aaron learned at a young age that his mother did not love him like his father did. At first he thought it was because he did not show her the kind of love he showed his father, Then one night he over heard his parents talking and found out the reason his mother did not show him love back. John wanted to adopt another child, this time a girl so Kelly could have what she always wanted. Kelly rejected the idea because the child would not be her own child. When Aaron heard that they had adopted him he was sad at first, but realized that John loved him no matter what. Even though he was not their actual child. There were only a few people who he actually loved and cared for, Adian was one of them. Aaron wanted to tell Adian but did not know how too. Thursday night was spent relaxing in the hotel room. John told the boys they needed their rest for the next morning. So, the boys played video games on Adian's after John hooked it up to the his hotel TV. John let the boys play till 9 p.m. before sending them off to their own room. They closed the door and both boys took a shower got dressed in their pajamas and then went in to say goodnight to John before heading off to bed. John asked the boys to keep the door opened because he wanted to make sure the two went to sleep. With all of the excitement of the day the boys had no problem falling asleep. Adian woke first, he laid in bed and the first thing he noticed was that sometime during the night, he had slipped into bed with Aaron. The next thing he notice is that he was sleeping naked. Adian was pressing against Aaron and he was also naked. He heard movement in the other room and figured it was Aaron's dad getting up. So, slowly moving away from Aaron, he slipped out of bed and crawled into the other bed. Adian had just pulled the blanket over his nude body just as John entered the room. "Aaron, it's time to get up, honey." came Johns voice from across the room. Adian could hear Aaron begin to move. "What time is it?" came Aarons voice. "Where are your PJ's?" John's dad asked, with a voice of concern. "I took them off, because it got hot in the room last night." Aaron explained. John seemed to understand. It did get hot in the hotel rooms last night. John woke up and turned the air-conditioning on in his room but forgot about the boys. Actually Aaron didn't remember taking his clothes off. "Ok, why don't you get up, get dressed and wake Adian up." John told his son as he left the room and closed the door. Aaron got out of bed looked for his boxer brief's and put them on before going over to Adian's bed to wake him. "Why did you get out of my bed?" Aaron asked standing over Adian. "I didn't want him to catch us in bed together." Adian answered. "He wouldn't care if we were sleeping together." Aaron said. "Really?" Adian said looking up at Aaron. "Don't you think he would have notice we were both naked." Adian said as he pulled his covers back showing Aaron his hard six inch thick penis. "I guess if he saw you like that he might." Laughed Aaron as he looked with lust in his eyes. Both boys were laughing as Adian got out of bed to look for his underwear. When he did find them they were under the covers of Aaron's blanket. "We better get dressed." Aaron said still looking at Adian's half naked body. Adian agreed and they both went to get their gear on. Aaron watched as he dressed, smiling as Adian stripped and put on his jock strap and cup, then his sliding pants and his pants. Aaron couldn't help get an erection watching Adian. Aaron wasn't the only one watching, Adian was also watching Aaron. Somethings, Adian has noticed is that, Aaron has grown over the last few months of knowing him. His body is growing, Aaron has grown a few inches, his shoulder have broadened, his stomach has started to develop ABS, his legs have thickened, and Aaron's penis had grown and hairs were beginning to form a nice little patch of hair around his now four and a half inches. Adian watched Aaron put on his jock strap and cup and it looked like Aaron was a tight fit in the cup. Once both boys were dressed, they went into John's room and they went downstairs to eat in the hotel restaurant. John had both boys order a light breakfast. That way they would not be bloated during the first game. He had snacks packed for them to eat after the game. After they ate, they headed over to the Kent Hrbeck baseball complex. Blake had all his equipment pulled from the back of his Camaro and was working on the starting line up for the first game of the tournament. He thought about using his normal line up, that he had been using but something was telling him to make a few changes to the line up. Batting at the # 1 spot, Eric Hooper 2nd base #2 Peter Corona 1st base #3 Kristopher Heinze shortstop #4 Adian Parks pitcher #5 Jose Livia catcher #6 Carlos Livia center field #7 Aaron Danvers 3rd base #8 JD Smith Left field # 9 RJ Johnson right field The nice thing about this tournament was he could let his pitchers throw 65 pitches per day then have one day rest, anything over 65 pitches would require two day's rest. Blake figured he could pitch Adian the first game, then use his healthy pitching staff for the next few games. Hopefully they would get them into the finals where he would use Adian during the final game. Aaron and Adian were the first to show up at the fields. So, Blake had them carry the gear to the dugout that they would be using for the first game. The only thing Blake didn't like about playing on field number 4 was that it was facing the sun, which seem to give the batting team an advantage during the morning games. Once the two boys had everything out, Blake sent the two off to warm up their arms. As Adian and Aaron warmed up, Blake went over the line up with John, who would be working the bench while Blake coached third base. Meanwhile the rest of the team showed up. Blake called the boys in and talked to them. "Good morning guys, I just have a few things to say to you before warming up. The team you are playing is the Burnsville Bombers, they won the state championship last year and went on to play in the Little league regionals and were beat out by a team from Iowa. Actually the same team you guys beat when we played in the tournament in Sioux Falls SD. Now just go out there and have fun. Don't worry about the score till the end of the game. Now lets have fun." The boys gathered around in a circle and roared out their battle cry. "On three, let's go Cougars." Freddy yelled out. "One, two, three let's go Cougars" the team yelled at the top of their lungs. After that the boys went to work doing their pre-game warmups, Jumping jacks, sit-ups, crunchers and then running around the inside of the fence. After that the took a short break to get some water then went out to warmup their arms. Blake called Kristian and Adian over so they could go out with him to home plate so they could determine who would be the home team. The Cougars won the toss and chose to be the home team. The Bombers were allow to take a quick infield before heading back to the dugout. Meanwhile Adian and Jose warmed up in the bullpen. Once they were done the Cougars took the field. Adian warmed up before the umpire called for the game to start. Adian and Jose were a pitching duo machine. After the first three innings Adian had only thrown 18 pitches. Shutting down the Burnsville Bombers. Meanwhile Blake's choices in the starting line up seemed to be the right choice. Eric and Philp both got on with hits over first and second base, which brought Kristian up where he had a pop fly out to right field, which scored Eric and brought Philp to second base. Now it was Adian's turn to bat. Adian stepped up to the plate, then took a quick look down the third base line. But Adian already knew what Coach was going to signal. So, he stepped into the batters box. The first pitch was low and to the inside. Adian stepped out took a look down the third base line, then stepped in again. This time the pitch was high and just to the outside of the plate but the umpire called it a strike. Adian stepped out and tapped the dirt from his shoes, adjusted his gloves like he had seen so many major league players do. Then he stepped back in and watched the pitcher go through his windup. Like so many times before, Adian saw the ball leave the pitchers hand. He set himself, steadied his bat, kept his head down watching the ball all the way to the sweet spot of his bat. ting Adian was around first base before he heard the crowd of parents begin to cheer. Like he was taught by coach Blake, he listened to the first base coach Freddy who told him it was over the fence. Adian looked up, Freddy was right the ball had gone over the 240 foot marker. Adian could see Braden holding the ball in the air. With one hand raised he rounded second, giving Braden the thumbs up then continued on to third base and home plate. The team met him at home cheering and hugging Adian. Now with the score 3 - 0 Adian and the team headed back to their dugout. The next two batters did not fair to well striking out. Adian shut the next three batters down. The second inning didn't go as well. All three batters went down in order. At the bottom of the third inning Philip got on base, with a nice bunt up the third base line, where the third baseman fumbled the ball and Philip was on by two steps. Next Kristian hit another blooper over the second baseman's head. Adian was up next, he looked down the line at coach Blake who gave him the signal to hit away, Adian stepped in but before the pitcher started his windup the catcher called for time. He ran out to the pitcher and once they were done talking, he signaled the outfield to back up. When the umpire yelled out to playball, Adian stepped in and got set. ting Adian raced down to first base and was told to go to second. Blake had him hold at second base. When Adian looked to see where the ball was he saw the third baseman, throw it home but Kristian slid in safe under the tag. Adian moved to third on the next pitch. But was stranded at third as he watched the next three batters strike out. With the game score of 5 - 0, Blake made his changes With Bobby coming to releave Adian who moved to third. Bryan Mars in center field. Bobby did his job with his pitching, but allow two hits. Adian ended the game with two more hits and scored Philip at the bottom of the fifth. Bobby struck out the last batter winning the game 6 - 0. The conversation in the stands were how well a group of 10, 11, 12 year old's played such a good game. "Good games guys get some rest our next game is at two and it will be against one of the two teams that are playing next. So, if you want to stay and watch you are welcomed to but get something to eat and rest. Then we will meet over at field 3 to warm up for our next game." Blake told the boys before letting them go. Adian and Aaron went with John back to the Tahoe. They chowed down on some sandwiches and some salads that John had bought. Once the boys finished, all three headed over to watch the game of the teams they might be playing next. The score of the game was 1 - 0 in the bottom of the third inning, when John and the boys sat down. The Brainard Clippers were playing the Jackson Jack Rabbits and Brainard was at bat with the lead. "Wow, look how big those guy's are." Aaron said to Adian. "I think we are about the same size." Adian said. "We are just use to how big everyone is." "Yeah, I guess you are right. Now that I think about it. We are a pretty big team." Aaron said. ting At the sound of the bat hitting the ball the boys looked out to watch the ball go over the right field fence for a two run homer scored by the Brainard clippers. With the score now 3 - 0 the Brainard crowd was going crazy. Aaron and Adian did not know who to cheer for, so they decided to cheer for the Jack rabbits. Only because they were behind. The pitcher finally struck out the Clippers and now it was the Jack Rabbits turn to bat. The Brainard's pitcher looked good, but the Rabbit's players had seen his pitching and were starting to catch up to his pitching an soon the teams were tied. The teams traded the lead until the final inning. The Jack Rabbits won on a squeeze play to win the game. The final score was 7 to 6. Aaron and Adian had really gotten involved watching the game and were jumping up and down, celebrating the Jackson Jack Rabbit's win. The players for the Rabbit's noticed and were happy to see the two boys celebrating with them. After the teams had everything packed up they headed out to to their vehicles. Robby and his twin brother Richard stuck around. Robby played catcher and Richard was the all-star shortstop. both boys played in the AAU national the year before on the All-star team from Jackson. they only took third place in the tournament but they had a good time. They looked around for the two boys from the Wilton cougars they saw cheering for them in the stands. RIchard had recognized them from the game before. They knew the one boy was Adian Parks but didn't know who the other boy was. The reason they were looking for them was that they wanted to know why they were cheering for their team. They did eventually find them sitting with a man watching another game. "Do you think we should talk to them?" Robby asked his brother. "Yeah, why not?" Richard askd. "We might bother them." Robby replied to his brother. Robby was the shy one of the two twins. He had always been shy when it came to meeting new people. Once he got comfortable around someone he would open up to that person. "Ok, her is what we will do we will just sit up above them and if they notice us and start talking, we can talk with them." Richard proposed. Robby thought it would be a good idea, but before they did that they should tell their parents where they will be at so they would know where to find them. So, they went over and told their parents where they would be, then went over to watch the game. They made their way up the bleacher and sat behind the two boys. Adian looked up when he saw the two boys from the Rabbit baseball team coming up the stairs. He smiled when he looked at them and realized they looked alike. He thought two himself that they must be twins. Just like Jose and Carlos, but he could tell them apart. Not many could but Adian knew their secret. Jose was able to use both of his hands, while Carlos was right handed. Adian wondered how people figured out which one was which. Once they sat down behind them Adian turned around and said. "Hi, good game." "Thanks, you guys played a good game too." said Richard. "Thanks, did you guys get to watch the whole game?" Adian asked while he turned and look at the boys. "We saw your double at the bottom of the fifth inning it was awesome. But we heard about your home run on the first inning." Richard said. He had heard and seen a video of the the game. One of the parents had been to the game earlier and video taped the game. They had watched part of the video after the game while having lunch after their game. The coach said they needed to see who their next apponents would be. Adian blushed at the compliment. "Thanks, but it was just me keeping my eye on the ball. That is what the coach always tells me to do." Adian said. Aaron just sat there and listen to the two boys talk. "So, I guess we will be playing you guys in the next game." Robby said shyly. "Yeah, It looks like it. I hope you guys don't play as well as you did in that game." Aaron said shyly. Adian was surprised at how quite Aaron was being. Usually he would be talking everyone's ears off. What Adian didn't know was that Aaron was kind of crushing on the two cute boys that were sitting behind them. The four boys talked some more mostly about their games. Adian and Aaron had learned a few things about the Jack Rabbits and Richard and Robby had learned a lot about the Cougars mainly that Adian was the star player on the team. "Ok, boys it is time to go." John said to the boys. Richard and his brother said they had to go also. John took the boys back to the SUV so they could get their gloves and the rest of their equipment because they needed to practice a little before their next game. When they got to where the team was practicing. Blake was going with the line up he had ended the last game with, With the exceptions of Carlos and Kristopher. Kristopher would be pitching and Carlos would be catching. Batting first would be Eric Hooper playing second base Peter Corona first base Kristopher Heinze pitcher Adian Parks third base JD Smith Left field RJ Johnson center field Freddy Olson right field Carlos Livia catching Aaron Danvers shortstop This was the combination that had won the last game. Blake felt he would have a good start with these boys. Plus, he wanted to make sure everyone would get a start in the game. Blake gathered the boys around him and gave them basically the same speech he did the first game. then sent the boys out to warm up. They basically did the same thing they did before their first game. Once they were warmed up they went over to the field they were going to play on. Adian and Aaron waved at Richard and Robby, when they saw them standing over by their dugout, They were getting ready to go in the dugout, when the game that was being played finished. Mean while Blake called Adian and Kristopher over to him so they could make the coin flip before the game started. Adian was surprised when Robby and another boy stepped up to make the call. Since the Cougars had won their first game with more points, they were allowed to make the call for the coin flip. Kristopher made the call it was heads. The Jack Rabbits would be the guest and the Cougars would be the home team. When the two teams that finished the game had cleared out their equipment, the boys put their gear in the dugout. Kristopher and Carlos went out to the bullpen to warm up. When both teams finished their warm ups. The Cougars took the field. Kristopher did good the first inning striking out the first three batters. Just like the first game Eric hit a blooper over the third baseman's head. Peter bunted and moved Eric to second, while beating out the throw to first. For some reason the pitcher of the Rabbits walked Kristopher to fill the bases. With no outs and their best batter coming to the plate. Blake had Adian swing away. The first pitch was high and to the outside. For ball one, the next pitch was low and to the inside and Adian took a deep swing at the ball but fouled it off to the right. With the count one ball and one strike, Adian stepped out and looked at Coach Blake. Blake still gave him the signal to swing away. Adian stepped in and got set. When he saw the pitch it looked like it was going to be high, about chest level. Once again he swung at the ball only to pop it up to the fence behind home plate. Soon the count was full and Adian stepped in knowing the pitcher would have to give him a good pitch or allow a run in on a walk. Ting Adian took off for first base and Bobby was signaling him to go to second. Adian looked at Blake as he rounded second and he was being signal to go to third. It was a stand up triple. The crowd was going crazy Adian had done it again, scoring three runs. JD was up next and hit a nice line drive down the first baseline which scored Adian, who was met at home plate by his team mate. RJ struck out along with Freddy now with two outs and a runner at third, Blake gave Carlos the signal to swing away and for JD to steal second. ting Carlos watched as the ball he hit went over the 220 marker in the leftfield, it was his first home run ever. He hooped, hollered and jumped all the way around the base paths. The team met both JD and Carlos at home plate for the celebration. Now it was Aaron's turn to bat. ting The ball flew out to left center and dropped in for a double. But Eric went down on a bad called strike that was clearly outside the plate. Blake went in to argue the call but was over ruled by the first base umpire. Once again Kristopher took the mound, the first batter flew out to Freddy in right field, the second batter went down with three straight pitches. The third batter hit a bloop single to left field neither Adian or Aaron were able to make the catch. so, with a runner at first and seventh batter up at the plate. The rabbits decided to steal second. Carlos made the throw to second and Eric laid a perfect tag on the runner for the third out. Peter stepped in and went down swinging. Kristopher hit a nice single down the third baseline just over the bag. Adian figured he could have got that ball if it was him. He stepped up to the plate, knowing he already had the permission to swing away. ting It was gone again over the center field fence marker 240. the fans in the stands were on their feet yelling and screaming. Now with the score eight to nothing. JD stepped to the plate. ting Everyone watched as the ball went over the left field marker 220 feet for the third home run in the game. RJ hit one deep to center, but the fielder made an amazing catch to keep it from going over the fence. Freddy went down swinging. Now with the game 9 - 0, Blake decided to make a few changes in the line up. Jose went to center field, Bryan Mars to right field, Philips replace Peter in the line up at first base. All he had left to do was to put in Bobby, but he figured he would wait until after he pulled Kristopher from pitching to put Bobby in at second. He knew Eric wouldn't be happy about not being able to play the whole game but it was only fair. Kristopher struck out the next three batters for the Rabbits. it looked like the game was going to be a blow out the way things were going. But a lot can change in three inning. So, when the boys came in Blake sat the boys down and told them that they needed to keep their head in the game. Philips stepped up to the plate and hit a single up the middle just out of the reach of the second baseman. Kristopher stepped in and moved Philips to second on a single to right field. Adian walked up to the plate and Richard called for timeout to talk to his pitcher. He smiled as he walked past Adian. Adian knew what they were going to talk about. Since there was a base opened they were going to walk him. When he stepped up to bat the catcher stepped out. Ball one came the umpires voice. On the next pitch the catcher did the same thing but this time Adian swung at the outside pitch. Now the count was one ball, one strike. Blake laughed when he saw Adian swing. He knew exactly what the boy was doing. They had talked about it several times, Adian had never struck out, So, he was going to make the pitcher work for this at bat. Adian swung at the next pitch also making the count one ball, two strikes. Richard stepped out on the fourth pitch but this time Adian didn't swing. With the count two - two, Richard decided to go out to the mound and talk it over with the pitcher to see what they should do. Once back behind the plate Richard stepped out for the third ball. Adian didn't swing. Now the count was full. JD was standing in the on deck circle and the Rabbits knew he could hit too. So, Richard gave the sign for the fastball. ting Adian had his head down and was set to go to second when he was held at first. The left fielder had his hands raised as he looked for the ball. Which had gone under the fence. The ump ruled it a ground rule double. So, Adian moved to second and the ump allowed, Philips and Kristopher to score making the game 11 -0. Sean Marcus, stepped in to bat, replacing JD. He had to let the umpire know before stepping into the batters box. Sean watched the first pitch go by for a called first strike. Sean stepped out and looked down the third base line Blake signaled the hit and run. So, that meant Sean would have to do his best to connect with the ball. Adian was gone as the ball left the hand of the pitcher. He was two thirds of the way to third base when Sean connected with the ball, driving the ball over the first basemans head scoring Adian. Bryan stepped into the batter box and swung at the first pitch, driving the ball to Robby who was playing shortstop. He scooped the ball up, he made it look so easy throwing out Sean and then Bryan at first for a double play. Then Peter Philips went down swinging. With the score twelve to nothing going into the top of the forth inning, Blake moved Kristopher to shortstop and Aaron to second pulling Eric out of the game. Blake then moved Jose to pitching. Robby hit a double while Richard walked, but they were the only two base runners to get on base before the game ended. The final score ended up being twelve to nothing. While the two teams met at first base to shake hands, Adain gave both Richard and Robby a quick hug. "You guys are really good." Richard said to Adian. As they walked back toward the Cougars dugout. "Nah, we just had a good day. We normally don't get that many hits during a game." Adian said. The boys stood outside the dugout and talked until the team had removed all the equipment from the dugout. Then the boys went out to meet their parents. The Cougars had the rest of the day off and wouldn't have another game till 11 a.m. on Saturday. As for the Rabbits they would have to play another game, which would be played at 7 p.m. Friday night. Both John and Blake check to see when the other two Wilton teams would be playing. They wanted the boys to stay and cheer on their classmates. Both teams had lost their first game and would be playing in the evening sessions. The nice thing about the tournament was that it was based on brackets play with four teams in each bracket. You could lose one game and still make it to the next round but you had to have the best record in your bracket to move on. The Cougar really only had to win their next game to move forward. Blake notice the WIlton Bobcat played in fifteen minute and encourage both player and parents to stay and cheer them on. Adian and Aaron really had no choice on whether to go or stay. Gary Hern's was the Bobcat player and when he saw Adian and Aaron sitting in the stand He waved and yelled out. "Good game." Gary said from just outside the dugout. "Thanks, Good luck in your game." Adian yelled back. Aaron and Adian were joined by Freddy, Bobby, Jose and Carlos in the stands along with their parents and watch the game. The Bobcats were playing against a team from Duluth called the Storm. The first four inning went scoreless, but the fifth inning thing really changed. The Wilton Bobcats were up to bat at the top of the fifth and lead off with two nice hits one to left field and one to right field. Gary Hern's the sixth batter, stepped in and hit a nice line drive down the third baseline. The third baseman and left fielder never had a chance. The ball bounced around the corner of the left field. Gary score the two runners and was given a triple. The next batter brought Gary in from third base with a fly ball to right field. The next two batter struck out. the score was now 3-0 but the storm came storming back with three runs of their own. with the score tied at the top of the sixth and final inning. The first two batter struck out and second batter in the order walk on a full count. The next batter moved him to third on a double hit just over the second baseman's head. and was drove home on a hit just past the first baseman. with two on and two out the pitcher struck out the next batter. Up in the stand the WIlton cougar players were doing their best to cheer on the Bobcat. Even though they were rivals their were still a few good friends on the team. The Bobcat pitcher struck the first batter out but walked the next two. Now with two runners on the Storms clean up hitter hit a high flyball to center field. it looked like it was going to drop behind the center fielder so both the tying run and the winning run took off. Somehow the center fielder made a miracle catch over his shoulder and threw the ball in to second. The runner had no chance getting back to base and all the second baseman had to do was tag second for the third out. The Wilton Cougar went wild in the stands.
