I said it would be soon. The time has arrived as the mighty Mayfield Titans get seriously into the team as they play two tough games. In between the two games you might enjoy a very wild school bus ride home as Marty shows that he is still Marty. CHAPTER 32 PLAYING BASEBALL Monday at school proved to be interesting as the sixth grade boys had all become much more comfortable with each other when it came to talking about sex. They were all eager to find out who had done what over the weekend. The group gathered together for the first time that day at lunch. Hunter joined them, though not without having to run a gauntlet of giggly sixth grade girls first. "Don't you want to sit with us, Hunter?" Janice asked. "Sorry. I'm sitting with the baseball guys," Hunter answered. "They're all too weird. Even Danny, who we thought was cool," Dorothy said. Hunter didn't want to get into a debate with the girls. He knew he couldn't win so he just said, "They're my friends." "But we want to find out what happened with you and Tama," Janice said. "Like you guys getting naked together." Hunter blushed a deep red, waved at the girls and walked away. He overheard one of them say, "See, I told you they did it." Hunter sat at the table, still flushed from his encounter with the opposite sex. "What was that all about?" Kevin asked. "Nothing," Hunter said. "They're just girls being girls." As the boys ate Kevin took the lead in getting the sex talk going. "Well, I know we all were with somebody overnight. I know I had fun with my bed buddy." Kraig gave Kevin a smirk. "Bed buddy? That's what you and Justin are now?" "You're doing stuff with Justin?" Scott asked. "The fifth grader?" "Hey, you saw him at the party. He liked what we did and he likes doing stuff. Plus he's awful cute." "What did you do?" "Enough. Pretty much everything but go all the way." He paused a moment and said, "So far." Hunter was surprised by Kevin's openness, even after hanging with the group since Noah's party. He looked down at the table as he munched on his lunch, trying to ignore the boner that was quickly filling his pants. "So, who here has gone all the way?" Kevin asked. "You mean with a girl?" Hunter replied. "No, with a wombat. Okay, with a guy. This is a no girls table." "A gay table, you mean," Hunter said. Kraig stared at Hunter, who avoided his glare. It was Scott who spoke up. "If you don't like it here, those girls over there seem real eager to have you sit with them." Hunter looked back down at his apple and said nothing. He also made no attempt to move. Noah spoke up next, looking at Bobby first who nodded his head yes. It was as if Bobby could read Noah's mind. "Bobby and I are boyfriends. You guys pretty much have it figured out, and we've hinted at it. If you don't like it we don't care, because that's the way it is." He looked right at Hunter as he said it. "Don't like it? I think it's great!" Kevin said. "Maybe me and Justin can hook up like that soon." "You guys are all so gay," Hunter said. "Well," Scott said to Hunter, ignoring Kevin's comments. "You can stay or go. But you can't have it both ways. You can't sleep with Kraig---and I don't know that you guys did anything, I just know you slept together, or get in a sleeping bag with Danny with all of us knowing it, and then sit here with us and talk smack. You sit with us it's because we're your friends and you're our friend. But then you gotta accept what we say and do." Hunter looked up. "But they just said they're boyfriends and that is gay. You gotta admit it's gay?" "And you have a problem with it?" Scott asked in what seemed to be a standard question the last few days. "Look, I got no problem with guys getting off together like we did at Noah's. It was kinda fun in a way. But they just said they're boyfriends. Maybe I do have a problem with that." "Well, we don't," Danny said. "Look, Hunter, you're one of my best friends. And just so everybody totally knows, nothing happened between me and Hunter in that sleeping bag. But these guys are my friends, too. Noah and Bobby can be boyfriends all they want. They can do whatever sex they want. I don't care. They're my friends." "You're the only guy who didn't sleep over with somebody," Hunter said, referring to the past weekend. "Wasn't because I didn't want to," Danny said. "I don't believe this," Hunter said. He looked over at Scott and Eric, who he knew slept together every weekend. "Next thing you know, you two will be telling me you're boyfriends." Eric looked and Scott who looked back at Eric. As with Bobby and Noah a silent agreement passed between them. "What if we are," Eric said. "It's our business." "Fuck, this is way too much. I'll see you guys later." Hunter picked up the remnants of his lunch and left the table, not bothering to hide the obvious tent in his jeans, one that Kraig noticed. "He'll be back," Kraig said. "In a few days." "I doubt it," Eric said. Everybody looked at Kraig. "Hey, don't look at me. All I did was jerk him off. I don't know what his problem is." He decided for now not to mention their licking each other's dicks. Kevin knew about it and for now that was as far as it would go. "Maybe he's scared because he likes it too much," Noah said. There was some agreement with Noah's sage words. Then Kevin said, "Hey, nobody answered my question." "You mean the one about doing the wild thing? Going all the way?" Noah said. "Well, the answer is yes for me and Bobby." "Oh way cool," Kevin said. "Me too." That got him a look from the rest of the boys. "But not with Justin," he added quickly. "Me too," Kraig said. "And you know it wasn't with Hunter." "Then who did you guys do it with?" Eric said, totally surprised that he and Scott wouldn't be the first even though they had been talking about it for a long time. Kevin and Kraig said nothing, but the ever perceptive Noah looked back and forth between them. "Kevin and Kraig. The twins together. You gotta love it." "That is so cool," Eric said. "So really really cool." Everybody had now gotten so turned on and hard about the talk over who had fucked they had forgotten Eric's words about he and Scott being boyfriends. At least for now nobody remembered that Eric had asked, "What if we are?" Hunter stayed away from the sixth grade JV table at lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday. Danny had helped Carl with floor exercises on Sunday and pushed him into a lap around the track on Monday. While nothing like Saturday's sexually charged shower happened, the atmosphere between them had changed. Danny wasn't looking at helping Carl as a task assigned by the coaches. Instead he saw it more as helping a friend. And Carl wasn't nearly as resentful of Danny sticking his nose into his business. He still didn't like running and exercising, but he did what Danny suggested, even if he didn't put all of his effort into it. Danny knew that Hunter didn't care much for Carl. Hunter told Danny more than once that Carl was little more than a "fat slob." Since Hunter was staying away from the lunch table he decided to invite Carl to sit there. After all Carl had played baseball with everybody but Eric and Noah at one time or other. Sure he had been cut off of the JV team, but so had Hunter, and Hunter looked at himself as a jock even if he couldn't hit a baseball. Hitting was one thing that Carl could do. Carl was reluctant at first, but finally agreed to follow Danny to the where the sixth grade JV players sat. To his surprise he was greeted warmly. Most of the talk at Wednesday lunch was about the game coming up that afternoon. Adrian, a seventh grader and the lone Hispanic on the team was the pick to suit up varsity for today's game. The JV was on the road against Meadow Park, which was 1-3 .The Varsity, which was 2-1, was playing Meadow Park at home. The Meadow Park varsity team was 4-0. Rodney, who was the number one lady killer on the JV, was going to be the starting pitcher with Vince doing the catching. Even though he was a seventh grader, Vince wasn't as good a catcher as Kevin, but the idea of the JV was to develop players and Vince was getting his second straight start. As lunch ended, Noah said, "It was great to see you Carl. Come sit with us again. We're not an exclusive club." "Thanks," Carl said quietly. All year he had looked down at the little sixth grader, but now all he saw was a friendly boy with a bright smile. Eric asked him to come back as well. Eric hadn't liked Carl much, especially after the fiasco during early turnouts, but if Danny liked him he figured he must be okay. He found out that Scott didn't have a problem with him. "We were teammates last year. He's a pretty cool dude. And he sure can hit. But he was so fat and slow he could pretty much only play catcher, and he wasn't very good at doing that." As usual with away games, the team was dismissed from class early. Mitch and Bobby got out of class even earlier to help with the equipment. When the bus was loaded it was in the usual fashion; boys' JV team in the back and girls' varsity in the front. The chatter was subdued as they took the 45 minute ride to Meadow Park . Coach Sanders had told them that the Lions were a better team than their 1-3 record indicated. He then announced the starting lineup. Eric was pleased to hear he would be starting at second and batting second. Scott wasn't starting, but he hoped to be in the game at the end when it was the most fun to play if the game was close. And the game turned out to be close. The Titans grabbed a quick 5-0 lead after two innings as Eric had a double in the gap and scored a run. He also singled up the middle in the second. Noah pinch hit for him in the top of the fifth, getting on with an infield single and stealing second. He also played an inning at second base as the Lions closed the gap to 7-4. Coach Sanders had Eric warm up at the top of the sixth. He re-entered the game in the bottom of the inning as the Titans' third pitcher of the game. Eric got the first out on a strikeout, then gave up a single. The next ball was hit sharply to Bobby who tried to complete a force at second to start a potential double play before he had the ball. The ball scooted through his legs and as a result he was charged with an error. That put runners on first and second with one out. The next batter grounded out to Scott, who was now playing first, and the runners both moved up a base. Eric then left a not so fast fastball over the middle of the plate and cringed as the batter hit one over Kraig's head in center field. By the time Kraig played it off the fence both runners had scored and the batter had a stand-up triple. The score was now 7-6 with the number three hitter up for the Lions. Coach Sanders came out and told him this was the man to get out. They didn't want two men on base the clean-up hitter coming to the plate. He told Eric and Kevin to pitch aggressively and let the batter put himself out. Eric quickly picked up a called-strike. The next pitch was fouled off. He then threw a change-up down and away. The batter was too aggressive and swung and missed. He struck out on a pitch that was out of the strike zone and Eric was out of the inning. The Titans failed to score in the seventh, though Eric did draw a walk and Scott singled sharply to left. Eric returned to second in the bottom of the inning and Scott took the mound. He threw a 1-2-3 inning, striking out two and getting the save as the Titans remained undefeated with a hard fought 7- 6 win. The boys knew they wouldn't have much time to celebrate though. On Friday they would be playing at Kentberg, their arch rival and a team that was undefeated going into Wednesday's games. As they settled in to the back of the bus, Marty took a seat to himself. "Winning a close game like that really makes me horny," he said. "Marty, looking at a fucking car driving by makes you horny," Vince said from the seat behind him. "Is there anything that doesn't make you horny is the question." "You can laugh, but I gotta take care of business." Marty quickly had his pants, sliding pants, and jock pulled down to his ankles. "Let me know if the coaches or anybody comes back." His better than five inch 13 year old cock was rock hard and leaking pre-cum. He laid his head back against the seat, stretched out his bare legs, smooth except for some light blond fuzz, and started working his hard young teen cock. Vince felt his own cock stir as he watched Marty start to masturbate. Eric and Scott were in the seat ahead of him. Eric turned around and looked at what Marty was doing. Marty winked at him and kept working on himself. Scott tried to act uninterested, but couldn't do so for long. Both he and Eric were now hard as well. Danny had the seat across the aisle from Marty to himself and he couldn't help but get hard watching the risky behavior of the almost half-nude boy. He found his own hand reaching inside of his baseball pants and rubbing his own 12 year old boner. Eric was now on his knees on the seat, pushing his dick against the seat back as Marty started jerking harder and harder. Eric wondered if the girls up front had any idea what was going on. Rich, who was sitting a couple of seats back next to Jerome, found himself rock hard as well. As much as he'd seen Marty hard and cumming the last couple of weeks he wanted to see it again. He wished he could just move to the next seat up and sit next to Vince, but Jerome had him blocked in. Like Scott, he tried to act uninterested, but his hand kept finding its way to the front of his pants rubbing his own throbbing 12 year old erection. Jerome took notice and while the skinny black seventh grader had maintained his distance from the sex play he knew was going on amongst his teammates, he still found himself jerking off thinking about it when he got home. "Fuck, I wish I could take my shirt off and be naked. Fuck that would be so hot," Marty said to no one in particular. He pulled the bottom of his jersey up, revealing his smooth belly and innie bellybutton. He rubbed his abdomen with his left hand as he jerked himself with his right. "I got all you guys turned on," he said with a leer. "Anybody want to sit next to me and help me out?" Danny was surprised that helping Marty jerk off was exactly what he wanted to do. He knew how his sixth grade teammates would react---they would think it was way cool, but he wasn't so sure about the seventh graders. Instead of scooting across the aisle to Marty's seat, he pulled down the front of his pants, revealing his own boner. He was too nervous about being caught to pull his pants down to his ankles like Marty had done. "Oh, yeah," Marty said, looking at Danny. "That is really cool, Danny." Then he looked at Eric, who he still had a crush on, saying, "Come on newbie, let me see you do yours." But Eric did nothing except continue to lightly hump the seat back. "Fuck, I'm cumming guys," Marty whispered throatily as spurts of cum whipped out of his young teen dick, hitting his jersey, then his stomach, before settling into his dusting of light pubes. Just as he came Scott pushed his hand between Eric and the seat wrapped his hand around Eric's pole through his uniform pants, causing him to cream his pants with his light pre- teen cum. Danny came over his jersey right after that. Rich, ignoring the fact that Rodney was sitting next to him, stuck his hand deep into his pants and came within seconds. They were the only ones to cum on the bus, but everybody else jerked off to a cum later on that day, thinking of the bus ride and Marty once again being Marty. Kevin and Kraig reminded the sixth graders about their birthday party on Saturday. They would be turning 12 and all of the sixth grade JV players were invited as was Justin. Kraig had invited Hunter but after his blow up at the lunch table he was worried Hunter wouldn't show. The twins decided that if Carl sat at their lunch table tomorrow they would invite him as well. Thursday was a quiet day, with little groping, but some sex talk, mostly about Marty's jerking off on the bus and about who jerked off where as they thought about it. The fact that Eric and Danny had blown their loads on the bus made them heroes for the moment. Carl sat with the sixth grade JV group at lunch and was totally pleased to be invited to the twin's birthday party, especially when he found out it would be an overnight affair. Hunter once again pointedly ignored the group, but made sure they could see him flirting with a table of girls in the lunchroom; it was a group that included Tama. On Friday the focus was mostly on the game that afternoon against the Kentberg Bulldogs. Not only were both teams undefeated, but Kentberg was the closest town to Mayfield and was therefore the town's biggest sports rival. Even summer league games involving teams from the two towns reflected the rivalry. Danny had been both pleased and disappointed to find out that he was to be the first sixth grader that spring to suit up for a varsity game. He was pleased because it was a highly sought after honor by the JV players, but disappointed because he wanted to play in the big game. The varsity was struggling with a 2-2 record while the Kentberg varsity was also undefeated. The situation didn't quite have the same impact in Danny's mind. What he didn't know is that the coaches picked a sixth grader for this game so all the seventh graders would be available to play. They did it even though they knew Danny was a better ballplayer than some of the seventh graders. The game was an away game, with the routine being the same as it was on Wednesday. The only difference was the bus left later because Kentberg was only fifteen minutes away. The boys on the bus were quiet as they worked to get their game faces on. Even the girls' varsity was quiet as they sensed the tension in the back of the bus. Rodney was given the start, with Kevin as his catcher. The Bulldogs countered with a seventh grader who had been pitching some varsity. They also started a seventh grader at first, who had been starting varsity. The philosophy of the Kentberg Bulldogs differed from that of the Mayfield Titans. For the Titans it was all about the varsity, with the JV's primary purpose to develop ballplayers. Yes, winning was important and game were played to win, even with as many players playing as possible. With the Bulldogs it was all about winning, and bringing down two players in the battle of unbeaten teams was a prime example of that. It was part of what made the rivalry huge, especially at the high school level. The citizens of Kentberg resented the fact that Mayfield High had more baseball championship trophies in its display case than did the Kentberg Bulldogs. Eric was pleased to find out he was staring at second and batting second. Scott was starting in center field. The shortstop was Jin, the Korean boy. The Bulldog pitcher quickly showed why he had pitched varsity innings, striking out the side in the top of the first. For the Titans Rodney wasn't a power pitcher, he did throw strikes and kept the ball down. The game was a scoreless tie going into the bottom of the fifth. Bobby had replaced Eric at second and Rich was now the shortstop. Rodney, who had given up only three hits, gave up a lead-off single. He then walked the next batter on a full count. Coach Sanders quickly had Eric warming up. Rodney walked the next batter on four pitches and Coach Sanders came out to replace Rodney, who had obviously run out of gas. "Great job, kid," Coach Sanders said, giving Rodney a pat on his skinny butt. Rodney waited for Eric to come to the mound and handed him the ball, a Titan tradition when a pitcher was being changed in mid-inning. Since Bobby had substituted for Eric, he was the player who had to come out when Eric re-entered. Noah came in to second, replacing Jerome in the line-up. The bases were loaded with nobody out. Eric gave up a long fly to the first Bulldog hitter, with the runner on third scoring. The next ball was a hard grounder toward the hole at second, but Noah had it played perfectly and threw it to Rich at second for the force. Rich fired the ball to Scott, who was now playing first, and they nipped the Bulldog runner by a step for a perfect 4-6-3 double play. Eric felt badly about allowing the run to score, but Coach Sanders praised him for keeping the damage to a minimum. Even though the Bulldog pitcher had held them to just two hits, the Titan players were confident they could come back. Instead they went out 1-2-3 in the top of the sixth. Eric went back out to pitch the bottom of the sixth. Middle school and high school baseball games were seven innings. Eric knew in this heart that if he held the Bulldogs here his teammates would score in the seventh. Then he would just have to hold them for one more inning. He struck the first batter out, but the second one hit a hard shot to right that Kraig came in on. He then realized his mistake, and instead of turning to run it down, he back peddled and had the ball go off his mitt when he couldn't get under it properly. The batter ended up on second. Eric felt badly for Kraig's misplay and shouted encouragement to him. He knew a good pitcher always tried to have the back of a teammate who screwed up, so he bore down to get the next two outs. He got the next hitter, who was the number two man in the lineup, to ground out to Rich as short, with the runner having to hold at second. Now he just needed to get the next batter out. He was the big seventh grader who had been playing varsity. He was a solid 5'11, 140 pound 13 year old. The Titans had kept him in check his first two times up and Eric planned to do the same. He didn't get the chance as Coach Sanders instructed the team to put him on. The umpire called time and awarded him first base. Under high school rules the batter got first base automatically on an intentional walk. That brought up Jeffrey Joyce, another big kid. He was 12 and a sixth grader and his growth spurt had hit him. He was rangy, not solid like the seventh grader, but with his long arms and quick swing he could hit the ball a long way. That was exactly what he did on Eric's first pitch, driving it to left and just over the outfield fence. Eric hung his head as the Bulldog player rounded the bases, and suddenly the score was 4-0. Rich and Scott both trotted to the mound, telling Eric to hold his head up and get the last out and then they would take care of the rest. Eric got the next batter to fly out on a 2-2 pitch and the game went into the top of the seventh and last inning. It was do or die time. The Titans died, as Brooks Taylor pitched a nice two hit shutout, striking out 11 Titans and walking only two. The Titans had their first loss and were now tied for second place There were no hijinks on the bus ride back to Mayfield. The girls had won their game 7-1, and couldn't help but be noisy, but the boys ignored it. "They cheated," Marty said. "They brought down two guys from the varsity to beat us. That's fucking cheating." "We should have beat them anyway," Vince said. "We know we're still better." "And the other guy they brought down never hurt us," Rich said. "Rodney did a great job on him." The talk went back and forth like that for the rest of the trip to back to Mayfield Middle School. The boys got off the bus, took care of all the equipment business that needed taking care of and headed for home. The sixth graders were already having their mindsets change from losing the game to the big birthday party at the twin's house the next night. Next: Twin Birthdays
