Subject: All for Terry (10)

This story is a little different than i normally write. It's a
lovestory. My first.

I was going through some old boxes this week and found some adult magazines
I used to have.  I hadn't seen them in years. As I went through them I saw
a wrapped package and there were a few more in there. But these were
covered in plastic. The guy in the cover of them, I had actually met a few
times. Before I knew who he was of course. But I always thought he was the
most gorgeous man I had ever seen.

As I mentioned, I had actually met him a few times. It turns that we had
worked in the same building. And it wasn't until sometime later that I
found he was the guy in my magazines. This story is for him. A kind of
'What if' story about a guy I wanted for many years, but fate never made
that fantasy come true.

This is for Terry. Where ever he may be.

All for Terry(Chapter 10).....His name is Terry.....

...... Unpacking was slow as it seemed to take me 2 months to do it.  I
just doing myself hyper busy at work. I had taken on some more clients, as
I was trying to be the best agent in the area.  I really had no time at all
for a social life. I did try and make time to stop by Tina's mom's house
when I could.  She gave me a box she said I had left behind. I shoved it in
my car and threw it in the closet, not even looking at it. I figured since
I had all my things it was probably nothing of major significance.

"So how is the world traveler" Tina said as we met for dinner and drinks in
the first time in months.  "Busy as all hell" I said"Man we never see you
anymore" she came back"I know. I know" I chimed back"Have 4 new clients."

I told her that we were super busy as one of the agents quit. And the boss
hadn't filled their position. "Well that sucks for you" she said"Really
eats into you home life" "Yeah. But I am good with that" I said back"I like
what I do and I get to travel on a dime"

It was quiet for a moment as she asked me what I knew she was going to ask,
but hoped she wouldn't "So you are okay with being alone?" She then asked

I paused myself for a moment. Knowing my answer was complete BS. How I
longed to feel someone close again. Even if it was for just some fun. But I
seemed to insure I had no time for dating. I just didn't want to be with
someone I did not love. It's what it boiled down to.  Then took a breath as
I answered as I figured was the best answer I could give

"For now. I am good" I answered back"Old dried up Queen" Laurie then
added"Huh!?" "Gonna gonna be an old dried up Queen"

Then she laughed at her comment. Tina also snickered at it too. I half
smiled at the comment. Trying not to be insulted by it. But 'it's Laurie' I
said to myself. Rude and crass. When I went home later I just went to
sleep. Thinking about whether or not they were right. In this last year I
was so busy with my career that I didn't even think of relationship. And
the one that I could have possibly had, I had somehow let slip out of my
hands.

"But I don't love him" I then said to myself."And is that not
important""And surely Laurie can not be right"

Weeks passed as I had completely forgotten about the chat with them. I had
gotten back to work, the one place I felt at ease. Like it was where I
belonged. Traveling here and there to learn every new area I could. Then
when i came back from one trip iI had found that the owner of my agency was
selling to a bigger travel company. My heart sank as i got the letter
stating that there would be offers to only two agents with the new
company. Others would have to find other employment.

"What the Hell!?" I croaked"This sucks"

My issue was not the fact that it was happening. Shit like this happens in
all business. My problem was I had been there less then two years, and even
though i knew i was a good agent. I heard throughthe grapevine (the owner)
that the nnew company wanted experience. So my chances amoungst the 6
agents in the office was slim. I was the new kid after all.

"I just moved into a new place a few months back" I said to her"I am so
screwed.""You will be fine" she came back.

I thought she was mad. Looking at her like 'was she gonna pay my rent?' But
she told me of an agency that she had a friend working for. She would drop
my name to her friend.

"She will love you" she said. "But this agency is a little
different""Different how?" I asked "They handle more that fight and
hotel.""They sell alot of cruises"

Again I figured i was screwed. I had only sold cripuise and tour packages
on one day cruises that my agency had a hook with. I new little of that
industry and had never even taken a cruise. But she assured me I would do
well. Reiterating how quickly I had taken to this environment and excelled
in it.

"You will find your place" she then said

Well I needed a drink. So I called Tina to see how she was doing, and if
she wanted to grab a few brews at the bar. She was up for it and then met
me at our usual place. But she brought my least favorite person.But right
now I cared less. I told her about what was going on. How I may lose my job
to this take over of sorts.

"Well that sucks" she said"Yeah that's fucked" even Laurie seemed
concerned"Why is she selling" "She wants to relax and not do stuff anymore"
I said back"I get it""It sucks but I get it"

I went home that night upset. Knowing what may be coming. Yet hoping
somehow I would be spared. A few days later we got the news and I found out
what I had expected. They were not keeping me. The place would be closing
and we had 2 months before the turn over event. I spent most of that time
calling my regular clients, trying to convince them to go where I went.
Even though I didn't know where that was. But after meeting with Sharon, I
worried a bit less. I was offered a job with her place. She was not the
owner, but the head lead agent there. Kind of like the manager if the
place.

" Well at least I have a job" i stated "Thanks. I will show you that I
learn fast and get good at whatever I try""I have heard" she said

Well as Iwas calling my clientele to give them a heads up in where iI was
going, I seemed to lose most of them as i would be selling primarily
cruises, many lost interest. So that saddened me.  That and the drive was
farther. And it was in an office building. We were on the seventh floor in
one of the larger offices there. And from what the job intailed I didn't
see myslef making alot of money. The commission structure was less
impressive than my old job.

"Oh fucking well." I said to myself"Thank God I didn't go for a nicer
apartment""At least I can still afford my place."

It wasn't the best, but at least I made some new friends there. Tim was
this funny gay guy that had me laughing from the get go. Lisa was a heavy
set girl that always hung out with us. She was like a 'fag hag'. But one
with attitude. It was the Latin in her. But the three of us got to take a
familiaration cruise to the Bahamas. It was cool and I learned alot about
the industry. But I wanted to get to work. I wanted to sell, sell, sell so
I could prove myself.

"So how is the new job" Tina asked me when we next spoke"It's okay. Nothing
like my last one" I said"But the people are pretty cool."

I told her about Lisa and Tim. She immediately gave me the 'it's a guy, get
him' look. But said to her that Tim was not my type and he was already
coupled. I was surprised that she was so fast to try and get me on the
first gay guy I met. But I figured, she meant well. I was going out for
lunch with my knew friends one day. I had brought something for it, but
then Lisa suggested we go out to this place near the office.

"Okay. Sounds like a good idea" I said back

So the three if us went down stairs to leave the building. We got in the
elevator to head to the lobby. It stopped a few floors down and picked up
two passengers. That's when my eyes fell on the most gorgeous man I had
ever seen. Tall, blonde with a mustache. His eyes caught mine for a moment
and he half smiled. The beautiful man stepped in and turned to face the
doors. So I was looking at his broad back in his well fitting suit
jacket. I felt Lisa's hand at my jaw as he pushed my mouth closed as I was
staring at him.

"Close you mouth" she whispered to me"You are drooling"

I snapped out of my state as I checked my mouth to see I was not. She
giggled at me as we made our way down on the elevator. The. I caught his
scent. The cologne he wore waifed up and back at me. It was 'Drakkar'. My
favorite cologne. But on this man it was perfect. We got off and I watched
him step out and then go to the left and into one of the first floor
offices. We headed out and to lunch.

"Who was that?" I said with a sigh"Don't know" Tim said"But I have seen him
on the elevator before""He is a beauty for sure""Probably straight" Lisa
said

I looked at her like she was mad. Then she said that the man was looking at
her. Not us gays. Then she laughed

"Not my type" she said"But he was sure pretty""Mm hmm" I said back.

We came back from lunch and I found my eyes darting over to the office that
the beautiful man had stopped into. But I didn't see the man from the
elevator. I was instantly taken by this gorgeous creature. But figured I
would never see him again. Then I saw him a few days later, coming Ito the
office in the morning. I had stepped into the building as saw him getting
into the elevator. I waved for him to stop it and he did.

"Going up?" He asked"Yes sir. Thanks" I replied"Morning" we both sort of
said to one another

Again my nose was assaulted by his cologne. But I loved it. And I found it
funny that in him it smelled better than in me. And I always thought it
smelled great in me. But other than the few words a few moments before, we
were quiet in the elevator. Even though we were both in it alone. I was
against the back wall as I glanced over at him just moments before he got
off in a floor. I looked at his neck and his hair line in back. I literally
wanted to shove my nose there just to smell him.

'Stop it man' I said to myself'Lisa is probably right and he is
straight'"Have a good day" he then said as he glanced back briefly

Then he left the elevator.

"You too" I tried to say as he had already left the small space.

I sighed as I watch him walk off, then the doors closed.  His lively scent
stayed in the small space with me until I exited in my floor. I could feel
my heart was racing as I got to my desk. Lisa and Tim were already here and
they sat very close to me. So I turned to get her attention as I signed in
for the day.

"He was in the elevator this morning" I said"Who!?" She questioned"That
gorgeous blonde from the other day""You still hung up on the straighty" she
laughed"Hey, he is still gorgeous"And he said hello today "

Then Tim turned around to get in on our conversation. He had just finished
a call and heard what we were talking about.

"You mean Terry?" He then chimed in"Who!?" We both answered
together"Terry. The gorgeous guy from the elevator" he came back

 We both looked at him with shock. Then at each other, then back at him
again.

"How do you know his name?"

Then Tim's phone rang again. He put up his finger as a pause to the
conversation.  So I had to wait til he was done before I got an answer. Was
that perfect man's name Terry. Didn't think it suited him, but didn't
care. Then she got a call. And finally my phone rang. It was at least
twenty minutes before I got my answer, as the phones got very busy
quickly. Then as there was lull and Lisa finished her call, we pulled the
info from Tim.

"His name is Terry" he then blurted"How do you know?" I again asked"Well
after both of you guys drooling over him that day""I took it upon myself to
find out who this hunk was"

Then Tim proceeded to tell us that he caught him downstairs yesterday. And
Tim being Tim, introduced himself to the guy. Then he got all the dirt in
less than a few minutes.

"He works for the marketing firm on the 4th floor. " Tim continued"And his
is gay"

He looked at Lisa and she huffed. Then she proceeded to say that she really
wasn't interested in him.  Something about not liking 'white boys' my eyes
lit up as tim was able to get such a question out of him. And he just said
that he came out and asked him. I had forgotten from my short time knowing
Tim that he wasn't afraid of any situation.  How ever uncomfortable it
was. Then he turned to me with a sad face. Then placed a hand to mine

"But he has a boyfriend" Tim then added"Gorgeous too""Ohh well" she
gawfed"We shared boyfriends picks when we chatted" he added

My heart sank. But then I realized that a man that handsome had to have
someone already. "Yeah. Didn't think someone that hot would be single" I
huffed"He is a dream though" Tim said

Then he laughed, Lisa laughed and I finally laughed. Then we went back to
our day. I was the last to leave as I started after they did that day. I
looked at my note pad and some of my days notes. In may pages I looked down
to see I had written down the man's name. 'Terry'

"Hmmm. Lucky shit who has him" I said to myself

Then I grabbed my things and headed out...........
