This story is a little different than i normally write. It's a lovestory.
My first.

I was going through some old boxes this week and found some
adult magazines I used to have.  I hadn't seen them in years.
As I went through them I saw a wrapped package and there were a few more
in there. But these were covered in plastic. The guy in the cover of
them, I had actually met a few times. Before I knew who he was of course.
But I always thought he was the most gorgeous man I had ever seen.

As I mentioned, I had actually met him a few times. It turns that we had
worked in the same building. And it wasn't until sometime later that I
found he was the guy in my magazines.
This story is for him. A kind of 'What if' story about a guy I wanted for
many years, but fate never made that fantasy come true.

This is for Terry. Where ever he may be.

.....Is This a Blind date?...



...... "Terry" I had said as I stared at the image before me

The man on this magazine. This adult magazine. A man I had only seen as
an unreachable unreal person before was now an actual person I had met.
For the man staring back at me in the pages before me was that gorgeous
man that had worked in the building were my old job was.
It was him. I was certain. Same face and features. Although now I saw
more, way more. And it made him all the more beautiful.

"Holy fuck!" I said aloud
"He was right there before me"
"This hot man"
"And I hadn't known it"

But even thought the man had become really, he was still unattainable.
This perfect creature that I had been smitten for from the first moment I
saw him. So I lay there in the bed with his images. Just studying them
again.
How I longed to be able to be near such a man. But I knew I could never.
For he no longer worked in that building from what my memory recalled.
And I had no idea where to find him. So all I could do was sigh.

"You probably wouldn't be interested in me anyways" I said to the image
"I mean look at you"
"Hmm. "

Again I sighed. Then I sat there in bed and just looked at him. Not even
glancing much at his prefect dick and balls. But his beautiful face. I
touched the page as if it were his real face. My fingers ran over the
image and then to his mustached lips. I then lay down in my bed and
placed the magazine on my chest.
I must have fallen asleep, for as my eyes opened it was late. And dark. I
turned in the bed and felt something next to me. I reached for it and
grabbed it. It was that magazine again. And Terry on it. Looking back at
me.

"Fuck!" I huffed at the crinkled magazine.

I picked it up and straightened the pages. Luckily his weren't messed up.
Then I put them in the side drdrawer of the nightstand. Then went back to
sleep. Reassuring myself that a man that perfect was probably a jerk and
conceted. Or he would never be interested in me.

"Surely not" I said to myself as slumber hit.
"He is too damned hot for anyone"

The next day at work I got a call from Johanna. I want expecting it
either. I mean, klast we spoke it was when I was trying to get in touch
with Tina. But she called to see what I was doing for 'Pride'. I said I
want planning on going. I had no interest in it.

"You should" she the said
"Should get out there"
"We can get together and catch up"
"It's been years"
"It has,hasn't it?" I said back

She was able to convince me to do so. So I agreed to meet her and her
girlfriend there. We would definitely catch up. I surmised she wanted to
give me what she did know about Tina. Of which I had actually lost
interest in. But, I figured a nice friendly face nowadays would be nice.
I did always like her the best of all of Tina's girlfriends. The
prettiest too.
The wrok week went my. My boss was going out of town for work. She told
me to enjoy the festival. And said to not stay home. It's like she knew I
was thinking of skipping it.

"I will" I said
"Have a safe trip"

I got to the festival early as I wanted to get out early if possible. We
were to meet by the entrance so we wouldn't miss each other. So as I
entered I hung around that area for a bit. Watching all the gay couples
and groups coming into the festival. I seemed to be the only loner. So I
felt uncomfortable when someone looked in my direction.
Then about 20 minutes later Johanna showed. I saw her an immediately
recognized her. Like I said she was always prettier than most lesbians I
knew. She smiled when she saw me.

"Hi you" she said as she gave me a hug
"Hi back Hun." I said
"Your are looking lovely as ever"

I said hi to her partner Rosie. She was maybe 10 years Johanna's senior.
But also a pretty woman. Johanna must have rubbed off one her. Not that
she wasn't pretty. But she always had that typical lesbian look about
here. Butch. But she looked so much nicer now.
They told me that they were Celebrating 5 years together this week. I had
forgotten that they had met in Pride. So I congratulated them. Then
Johanna mentioned that we were going to meet up with a friend of theirs
later.

"Neil is working today" she said
"But he wanted to join us"
"Ohh cool" I said
"The more the merrier. "

Then as we walked around, she started to tell me that Tina had gone a bit
mad afetr her Mon died. Started to take drugs and fight with everyone.
 Was going to apologize for not being there when she cut me off.

"I wasn't there either" she said
"Tina started to push at people soon after her mom's passing"

She went in to say how Tina called her a betrayer for dumping her. And
other terrible things. I wondered why she started to use the drugs. But
didn't think twice of where she had gotten them.
"Laurie.." I stared to say

Then Johanna said that Tina had dumped Laurie just before her mom's
death. There was a violent fight and a police stay.

"It was soo ugly" she said
"And that's when Tina called me"
"Saying she needed a place to stay"
"And when I said no. She got viscuous"
"Ohh shiit!" I stated
"Did the same to me"

I worried that she would fall down into an abyss from all this. But
Johanna then said that Tina had moved in with her brother Mike for a
while. And she hadn't but then that went to Hell after she brought drugs
into his place.

"Huh!?"  I said
"Alot in such a short time"

Then I remembered Mike her brother. He was also gay. When I was a kid he
was cool. But when I was old enough and he found out I was gay he tried
to seduce me. Something I never told anyone. And I hadn't talked to him
ever since.
The guy was 15 years my senior. And a pig that was always picking up new
guys at the bars. I was surprised that he hadn't picked something up
after all these years.
I had remembered when I was younger there had been one guy he dated for a
while. Keith. Really tall and very skinny guy. Found out a few years back
that he died of AIDS. Was sad, cause he was nice.

"So where is she now?" I asked
"I have no idea."
"I just told her I don't want her toxicity around me anymore"
"And you shouldn't worry about it either"

I tried to put it out of my head. But it still made me sad that she so
quickly pushed her closest friends from her life. But I knew I could do
nothing about it now. I smiled at Johanna as we chatted
We watched the people mulling about in this very nice day for pride. A
lot of cute guys walking about. But they were all coupled, of course.
 Then when we sat down at a food area to have some lunch I heard someone
call out Johanna's name. We turned to see this handsome and tall blonde
guy heading towards us. Johanna waved back at him and waved him over

"Hi Neil" she called
"Over here"

So that was her friend Neil. He was a handsome guy for sure. Tall, lean
and muscular. He had a clean shaven face and blue eyes when he got
closer.  He smiled as Johanna got up to give him a hug. He also hugged
Rosie as they exchanged hellos. Then he turned to look at me. We smiled
as Johanna introduced us to one another.

"Hi Neil" I said with a hand shake

We all sat down to eat. I found that  Neil was a part time student at the
local community college. He had met Johanna when she worked part time at
the kids center she didn't have kids but loved them.

"What are you studying!" I asked Neil
"Ethics right now" he said
"But I plan on becoming a teacher"
"Ohh that's cool" I said back

He too said he loved kids. And that's why he worked part time at the kids
center.  And then I found out that he lives in a mobile home. That he had
moved down here from Denver for schooling primarily. And he want much for
having things to bog him down.

"I just have what I need" he said

I found this odd and strange, yet someone appealing at the same time. He
was a minimalist type. He didn't have a car. Just a scooter to get him
around. But he really seemed like a nice guy. And a handsome one at
that.
He liked that I was a travel agent. And asked if I had been to mny
places.

"It as much as I would like. Yet" I said back

We all got up and walked around some more. I talked with the handsome guy
a bit more. He was sweet and charming. I looked over at Johanna at one
point and she smiled at me. Cocking her eyebrows as she did.
I looked at his body again. His arms were very nice. Soft looking fine
hairs glimmered in the sunlight on him. There was signs of stubble on his
shaven face. And I pondered hownhe would look with facial hair.

"Well I have to get to class" he said after a bit
"We should hang out again"
"Yeah that would be nice" I said back

He gave me his number and I did the same. Then he gave me a bug and I
watched Neil leave us. I watched his nice but in his pants as he passed
through the crowds and then disappeared.

"Soo!" Came a voice behund me
"What did you think of Neil?"
"Cute huh?"
"Yeah. He is very cute. And...." I stopped myself right there

Then I looked at her intently. Her smile was more than enough for me to
realise what she was doing. This whole thing was a ploy for her to help
me meet someone.
"Was this a day?" I huffed

Johanna just nodded and giggled.........
