Any similarities between this story and real life are purely coincidental. This story contains things of a graphic nature and should not be read by anyone under the age of 18. It also contains male on male relationships. This is my first attempt at writing a story full of drama, deceit, manipulation, and of course guy on guy action. I'm not a professional writer however. Criticism is welcomed. Comments and questions can be sent to txjb10@gmail.com. Please put the name of the story in the subject like so I know you're not junk mail. Thanks! Beautiful Disaster: Chapter 1 People tell us that in our final moments of existence our life flashes before our eyes. For some people death is terrifying but in this moment... I welcomed it. I'm kneeling here in my apartment totally defeated; watching as the boy I once loved holds a gun. His eyes filled with hatred and fear simultaneously. All I can think about is "this is definitely not my fairytale happy ending". It certainly was not the way I thought my life would end up. Two years had gone by since Casey and I had started dating. All the abuse and neglect was finally about to be put to rest. Some people say I fell in love too easily. Others told me that being in a same-sex relationship is doomed because all men are cheaters, which I don't believe. Whatever the case, in these moments I think to myself "could I have done anything differently? What about my dreams for the future? And what will they dress me in at my funeral." Shot fired once... shot fired twice. I'm being rushed to the hospital covered in blood, my body shaking from panic and fear. Tears stream down my face and I feel my best friend Justin, holding me letting me know that everything is going to be ok. Was this the end??? Maybe to fully understand the mess that consumes my life I should start at the beginning. (3 years earlier) As I approached the doors to what would be my first job I smirked to myself. I felt a sense of pride. At the adolescent age of 17 years old I, Julian Burnet, had acquired an opportunity of a lifetime. I received a call back interview for a cashier position that I had been hoping for all summer long. Normally I would be sweating through my button down shirt from all the humidity and the intense heat that fills the Houston air but I guess the universe decided to give me a break! When I got to the footsteps of the building I checked my reflection in the tall windows that stood before me. I was wearing an ocean blue dress-shirt, a red tie, with some black slacks. I had forgotten to wear a belt that day unfortunately but in any case I was happy with my attire. My previously jumbled hair was nicely swept to the side and tucked behind my ear. I usually keep my hair messy when it's at medium length but for this occasion I wanted to look professional. As I stood there readjusting my tie I noticed an unfamiliar red-head peeking out at me through the glass window smiling. It was only then that I snapped out of it and realized I wasn't in a dressing room. "Oh my gosh, this is embarrassing!" I said to myself hoping she was the only one who had seen me. If there's one thing I detest it's being embarrassed. It shows all over my face and this time was no exception. As I opened the door to walk in I find that for the past five minutes I had been readjusting myself for an audience of six. Five of them were employees and one of them a security guard. "Great first impression Julian," I thought to myself, "just walk by them and don't make eye contact." This would later make for a story we would all laugh about. Ten minutes had past and right when I was about to give up and call Abraham, the store manager, on his cell I hear a soft voice ask me if I'm lost. I turned around to find the most attractive guy I had ever met. His skin was a soft white that reflected the sun's UV rays which kind of gave him an "innocent" aura. His intense sky blue eyes were filled with a certain charm. He was wearing a blue short sleeved shirt with some khaki pants that hugged his form well. He was 5'9 and about 180 lbs. I could tell by the till he was holding that he was a cashier here. "I'm looking for the manager's office?" I said with a shy voice and a subtle blush. "Straight back and up the stairs, you must be Julian?" he replied with a grin. I could have fainted as I observed this creature's quirky smile that seemed very sincere. "Yes, hi!" I said with a little too much enthusiasm, "I'm Julian here applying for the cashier spot that's open." I extended my hand for a handshake and when our palms touched my body radiated with butterflies... I am such a schoolgirl sometimes. "Well hope you get the job man. We desperately need it" he chuckled flashing me another one of his adorable grins. "Thanks!" I responded. As I turned to walk in the direction of Abraham's office, all of a sudden I hear him say, "My name's Casey by the way." I turned my head, smiled a platonic smile, and gave him a wave. You could tell by Casey's toned arms and above average physique that he worked out occasionally. I on the other hand despised the gym. Luckily I was blessed with good genes and a sparkling personality to match. I was 5'9, 175lbs, tan, green emerald eyes, light brown hair. I was very much into my appearance and sometimes it got me in a pickle. Girls would hit on me often but I always had to turn them down gently. Wouldn't exactly say "sorry girls I won't date you but if you have a brother..." Although that's my sense of humor on the topic. What you should know about me is I don't have a tragic coming out story. My family mostly excepted me for who I was no problem. It's what came after my coming-out that had me in the position I was today. It wasn't long until I was in the interview giving my best feedback to Abraham who kind of looked like the guy from the "Diabetus!" commercial. After the interview was done he offered me a job and decided to give me the grand tour of Wolfing's Hardware. As he pointed here and there displaying the various departments the store had to offer I couldn't help but have butterflies in my stomach. Was it because I was finally going to be taken seriously as a working man? Or was it because I was anxiously waiting for the tour of where the cashier station was, or more importantly Casey's station. A few weeks had gone by and I'll admit I had a huge crush on Casey but hid it very well. He was not only hot but also very humble, kind, and hilarious. Slowly but surely I started making friends. Luckily they were all either a year or two older than me so there wasn't that awkward demanded respect that the majority of older folk believe they have a right to. Roll Call: We have Melody(18), the tall slender red head with an affinity for music and books. Bella(19) the lipstick lesbian and party animal, and of course Casey (19), the very hot and quirky brunette with a big heart and great body. We bonded over the fact that mine and Bella's birthdays were in April and Melody's and Casey's were in November. Casey and I had exchanged a few glances but it was hard to tell whether or not he was gay. More so if he was into me. My gaydar had been off several times before so I don't really rely on that. In any case, our group had grown extremely close. We had sleep overs at Melody's, movie nights at Bella's and the four of us made a pact: That whenever we were all of age we'd move in together. .. Little did I know that this group of ours would eventually lead to my demise. One cold winter night Casey and I finally exchanged phone numbers which was a big step for us to make. Up until now the girls were the ones who made the plans while and Casey and I just went along. "So I was wondering if you were free umm... maybe we can... I don't know... go see a movie or something?" Casey said hesitantly. For some reason I was starting to wonder what he'd looked like in High School or further back. He had the confidence of a hippo which colored me surprised. He was not only incredibly beautiful but he was gentle. I noticed that towards girls (as most boys are when trying to earn their manhood) he was attentive, very flirtatious, and charming without overdoing it. I'd seen that he also had many guy friends too which is something we had in common. "Umm Julian?" boy did I quiver every time my name exited his mouth. "Oh hahaha yes! Sorry brain fart, you know it goes. Just let me know when and where bro and we'll hang" I smiled. I got into my car after a long days work and watched as Casey sat at the nearby bus stop. I pulled up near him and asked, "What happened to your car?" "Parentals are being fuck-tards at the moment. I'll be fine though go on home!" he said throwing a half smile at me. At this point I was too nervous for anything so I did nothing. I drove off and watched him in the review mirror grow smaller and smaller. I should have offered him a ride. Why was it so hard to be normal!? Later that night however he was in my bed, exploring every inch of my body as I explored his. Never had I done this before so I thought to myself `was this really about to happen?' As I laid flat on my back in nothing but my gym shorts he straddled me fully clothed admiring my physique. He rubbed his hands which were big and full of veins over my slender torso. He tugged on my nipple and the grabbed my bottom lip with his right hand. Never before had I wanted anything more.. until I woke up. Then all I wanted was to go back to sleep! Notes: I know I left you guys with a cliff hanger but rest assured this is going to get really interesting! Hopefully you think so to. Thanks for reading Chapter 1. ~Jensen
