Green Eyes
and Picket Fences
Chapter 4
Aidan and Travis ended up riding with Steve in his car because Tyler and
Spence were going grocery shopping after lunch. Aidan still could have ridden
with them to the restaurant, but after what Spence told him this morning he
would just feel like a third wheel.
"Where are we going to?" Aidan asked when they were on the road.
Travis looked back at him from the passenger seat and said,
"Georgiano's. It's a little Italian restaurant my ex used to take me to
all the time."
"Speaking of the bastard child of Satan, is he still calling you?"
Steve asked.
"A couple of days ago actually." Travis responded.
"What did he say?"
"Oh, the usual. I miss you, I love you, why won't you call me
back?"
Steve snorted and gave Travis an `Are you serious' look.
Aidan's curiosity finally got the better of him and he asked, "What
happened with your ex?"
"The usual, he couldn't keep his dick in his pants for more than an hour
at a time." Travis supplied.
"An hour, try 10 seconds." Steve looked back at Aidan and said,
"When Travis brought him out to the house the last time, he managed to
hit on both Tyler and me when Travis went to the bathroom."
"Damn, You sure do know how to pick them." Aidan said jokingly to
Travis trying to lighten the mood.
"Hey, you forget, I also have a thing for you. You should be saying I
have the best taste in the world." Travis said and laughed when Aidan
turned a deep shade of red.
"I love it when he blushes." Steve whispered to
conspiratorially to Travis.
"Me too."
"We should make it a game. Who ever gets him to blush the most at lunch
gets to sit in the back with him on the way home."
"Deal."
Aidan could not believe how they were discussing him like he wasn't even
there. He was going to make sure he sat far away from those two. He'd sit in
between Spence and Tyler if it became necessary. They were quiet for the rest
of the ride and that left Aidan to wonder what exactly did they have in mind.
When the group arrived to Georgiano's they were given a private table near
the back, since Travis knew the owner. It was a very nice restaurant and also
very beautiful. Their waiter sat them at a circular table with a red and gold
tablecloth. When Aidan sat down and saw that the napkin's were folded into
swans. He was so stunned by the detail of the place that he ended up sitting
between Travis and Spence and across from Steve and Tyler. 'Oh well,'
Aidan said to himself. 'Better one than both.'
Actually, Aidan was glad he sat next to Travis. He was very curious as to how
Travis knew the owner of the place and asked, after the waiter left with the
order for the drinks.
"I wrote a piece about this place after I came here for the first
time." Travis answered. "It was nothing really, but then Georgiano
seems to think I did him some kind of favor."
"That's because you did." Aidan heard from behind him.
Travis looked behind him, smiled, and got up and hugged a man who looked to
be about 45 years old from the streaks of gray in his hair.
"Georgiano, it's been ages since I last saw you." Travis said,
after taking a step back to look at the older man. "Are you getting
younger."
"Travis, I already love you like you are my own son; there's no need for
flattery." Georgiano looked back at Aidan and said, "Travis was
being modest. If it hadn't been for you, this place would still be a ghost town."
Travis waved Georgiano off saying; "I may have let people know you were
here, but your food kept them here."
Georgiano laughed and said, "I missed you very much Travis. My wife
asked me the other day when I was going to invite you and your partner over
for dinner. Where is Blake anyway?"
Aidan felt you could cut the tension that question brought in the room with a
knife. He saw Steve, Tyler, and Spence share an 'I wish he hadn't brought
this up look' with each other before he heard Travis say, "We broke
up a few weeks ago."
Before Georgiano could say anything else to make the atmosphere any more
uncomfortable, Aidan decided to change the subject.
"You're a writer Travis?" He asked.
"Yeah." Travis answered, giving Aidan a grateful look. "I
mostly do some freelance pieces and then sell the to the magazine who pays
the most for it." "He sold the piece about my restaurant to a
tourist magazine. First, I got the occasional tourist people, but after a
while the locals started to come by as well." Georgiano put his arm
around Travis and said, "You are the reason I'm still in business, so
your lunch is on me today."
"Georgiano you can't pay for my meal every time I come here."
Travis said, but Georgiano didn't seem to hear.
He just kissed both of Travis's cheeks and said, "I'll tell your waiter
now. If you need anything else, just tell him and he'll come get me."
He then walked away and Travis sat back down at the table.
Travis sighed and said, "That man can be exasperating sometimes."
"Travis he's just grateful. Let the guy thank you if he wants to."
Tyler said, giving his brother an exasperated look himself.
Travis just waved him off and looked at the menu.
Lunch was great. The group had a lot of fun just talking to each other, and
about each other. The main topic of discussion turned out to be Spence's and
Tyler's new relationship. Steve told an especially funny story about them
making out at the refrigerator this morning.
With all the laughter going on, Aidan had totally forgotten about the bet
Steve and Travis had made in the car. He was very surprised when a he felt a
hand slide into his lap while he was laughing at Steve's imitation of
Spence's moaning noises. As soon as he felt it he stopped laughing. Aidan
felt the hand slide in-between his legs and rub the inside of his thigh. He
grabbed Travis's wrist to stop it from moving then looked up to see if any
one else had noticed his change in attitude. Spence was arguing with Travis,
saying he didn't make the noises Steve said he did. The only person besides
Travis to notice the difference was Steve. He gave Aidan a knowing smirk,
then leaned over and whispered something in Travis's ear. Travis smiled and
nodded. Aidan didn't know what Travis just agreed to, but he had a feeling he
didn't want to.
He was right.
When Aidan felt a foot skimming up his leg he jumped out of his chair and
said, "I have to go to the bathroom."
He practically ran from the table to the restroom he saw when he came into Georgiano's.
Aidan closed the door and then leaned back against it.
He had to face the truth. As long as he was around either Steve or Travis, he
was in big trouble. He was going to wind up in one if not both of thier beds.
Hell, he was already in Travis's. It was time for Aidan to stop pretending he
didn't want them. Everyone in the house knew, so why was he still trying to
delude himself. For his parents? Maybe, but Spence was right. What they
didn't know wouldn't hurt them. It was then that Aidan heard a knock on the
door. He opened it and saw it was Spence.
"What the hell is taking you so long? Are you sick?" Spence said,
looking a little anxious. He put his hand to Aidan's forehead and said,
"You are a little warm."
Aidan moved back and Spence dropped his hand back to his side.
"I'm fine Spence. I just felt a little queasy about something, but I
feel better about it now. Really."
Spence looked at him a little skeptically then said, "Whatever. Let's go
everyone is waiting outside for us." Spence turned around and walked to
the door where Travis, Tyler, and Steve were saying goodbye to Georgiano.
"Don't take so long to come see me again Travis." Aidan heard
Georgiano say when he walked up.
"I promise." Travis said, and hugged the older man and the group
walked out the door.
While they were walking outside, Aidan pulled Travis to the side and
said, "You're an ass hole you know that."
Travis laughed and said, "Only around cute guys."
Aidan smiled at that and asked Travis, "What did Steve say to you in
there at the table?"
Travis stopped, looked at Aidan and said, "He just wanted to make sure
I knew you were mine."
Aidan was so stunned by the confession he watched Travis's retreating
back for a few seconds before following him to Steve's car, not knowing
exactly what to feel about what Travis just said.
When Travis, Aidan, and Steve arrived home, they all went in their separate
directions. Travis went to kitchen to grab a bottled water, Steve sat down in
the living room to watch TV, and Aidan, having nothing better to do, went up
to his room to grab a book to read. He had lain on the bed and had been
reading for about ten minutes when Travis walked in the room. Aidan looked up
from his book and smiled at Travis as he flopped on the bed.
"What are you reading?"
"The Imajica by Clive Barker." Aidan answered.
Travis laughed and said, "That's one of my favorite books. I love how
everything is a circle, how it all comes back together in the end. It makes
me believe in fate."
"I know exactly what you mean. This is my fifth time reading it, and I
still find a whole new concept every time I pick it up."
Travis laughed at Aidan's enthusiasm. Aidan then blushed realizing how
excited he had just become because he had found a common interest with Travis.
When Aidan looked back up, Travis was still looking at him, but his
expression had changed. He reached up and touched Aidan's cheek then brought
his lips to meet Aidan's.
The kiss was chaste at first, as if Travis was making sure Aidan wouldn't run
away. When he didn't pull back Travis deepened it.
Aidan had no idea lightning could strike the same place twice. Travis's
tongue was doing things to Aidan's body that he had never felt before. The
kiss was great. So good it left Aidan shuddering. He felt Travis's body move
to lay on top of his and straddle one of his legs as he pulled back from the
kiss.
"Only you have the ability to make me want to come, with just a
kiss." Travis whispered to Aidan. "Open your eyes for me baby.
Aidan opened his eyes and looked up into Travis's. When Travis was sure he
had his attention he lightly pushed his hips against Aidan's cock. Aidan
moaned and his eyes glazed over as he grabbed Travis's hips. "That's it.
Make more noise for me." Travis said, as he began to nibble on Aidan's
neck.
Travis started to rock his hips at a steady pace that left Aidan shuddering
against him. Aidan arched off the bed when Travis bit his nipple.
Travis then began to rock faster against Aidan. Aidan could tell Travis was
close and opened his eyes just as Travis's body began climaxing against his.
Aidan would never forget the look on Travis's face. It was pure ecstasy.
When Travis's body came down from it's high, he looked down at Aidan and
kissed him. Aidan then felt a hand reach down for, and unbutton his jeans.
Travis pulled Aidan's cock out and gave a tiny squeeze while he rubbed his
thumb over the head.
Aidan's entire body shook and he moaned, "Travis stop fucking teasing
me."
Travis laughed and said, "Alright, you win."
Aidan was so close it only took a few strokes to bring him over the edge.
He came, with Travis's name on his lips.
After Aidan came back down to reality he realized that Travis was no longer
on top of him but beside him again. Aidan looked at Travis and was just about
to speak when the door opened to their room.
"Well, am I interrupting something."
Travis sat up and looked toward the door and said, "Blake, I told you
never to come back here."
Editor's Notes:
I have edited several of
the chapters in this story. I just have to say how incredibly fresh and
intriguing it is. Each new chapter has brought us closer to understanding how
each character thinks and feels. I have really started to bond with these
people. I must say that I love this story and can hardly wait for each new
chapter. Thanks for letting me help bring it to life.
