Date: Mon, 31 Oct 2022 05:41:43 +1100 From: max dowling Subject: Kasey with a k /chapter 37 Adam 37 Maxieplus Sam was happy to see me today I had to take the car to pick him up it had rained off and on and I didn't want him to catch a chill. He jumped in the back seat and I buckled him up, by the time we got back home he had told me blow by blow, how his day went, and the storm was getting worse. I parked the car and looked at the storage unit, I will bring some food down later on and had no idea what time our visitor would turn up. After settling Sam at the table to help him do his homework I turned the oven on and he began again, telling me about his day. I know this is to distract me from the obvious, he was always confident that his papa will find his way home, and between me and you, I kept telling him I felt the same deep down. I didn't know whether to keep up the pretence with him or to break his little heart but I also knew Kasey wasn't dead, he wouldn't do that to us. The news channel announced tonight will be the coldest night since twenty years ago, and people were to stay inside and not go out into the weather. When we finished up it was time to go feed our car park guest, and time for Sam's programs, so I placed the hot roast dinner into a container with heaps of bread and gravy, then told Sam I wouldn't be a minute I had to go downstairs. The lift stopped and I stepped out, someone was running towards the outer door, I had disturbed him. I knew it was a man because he had the army coat on and his shoulders were broad. "Please stop, please come back it's going to be hell out there tonight. I will leave this food, it's hot so get it inside you before it goes cold. You are welcome to stay here as long as you want." He stopped in his tracks, I could just hear his heavy breathing, then I said. "I will go now, but before I do, can you let me know, have you got enough blankets is there anything else you need?" "Adam." I heard him mumble it was faint, but I thought I heard it. My stomach leaped into my chest and my knees buckled as I collapsed in pain on the concrete floor. I screamed so loud it echoed off the walls of the vast garage. "Why why why?" I kept screaming at him. He looked at me with his scruffy face and hair, then he ran. "Stop please stop." He was gone, and I thought forever. When he had looked at me his eyes were haunted with a faraway deadness, he was seeing me but he wasn't registering it. I couldn't run after him I had Sam to think about and the storm had turned into hail stones and the temperature dropped suddenly, we may get snow tonight. I made up the bed and made sure the food was tucked into the warm folds then I took myself upstairs, not fully believing I had seen my Kasey, my mind plays these sorts of tricks all the time. It was a glimpse, and he could have been anyone, but he did say my name, or so I thought. All the nightmares, the sightings the feeling of being watched over the past few months had got to me. I tried to shake it off but I hallucinated tonight and that's a bad thing. All I can do is hold on one more day, then one more day again. I have to avoid having a complete mental breakdown. I dished up some food for Sam then kissed his head and we both sat in our favourite positions in front of the tv inside his sleeping bag. We had tried sleeping in my bed but I tossed and turned all night because Kasey wasn't with us, so we slept on the floor it was our cabin, our safe place. When I wanted to be alone I went into my bed for an hour or two. I don't know how much he understood, but on those nights he would leave me be, to cry on my own. In the morning Trish was at the door, she had croissants and cold meats, and after a hug and kiss, she started making us breakfast as she has done many times for me in the past. "Where is Evans this morning." "The airport is locked down there's flooding everywhere Adam, the storm was horrendous. People were told to stay at home but there were many accidents and stacks of falling debris all over the city. It's all blown over now like it never happened, and I believe we will have sunshine today." "I thought I saw Kasey last night." I bleated out. "Adam, are you sure, we have been here before baby." "No, not really, he's living in our car park." "The vagrant?" We had spoken about him more than once. "Yes I thought he was Kasey and he said my name." "Maybe you imagined it." "I can't tell nowadays, I can't sort imagination from reality sometimes." "You couldn't have seen him, and why would he be living in that cold old garage Adam, why not come up here?" "I don't know, maybe he doesn't want to know us anymore." "Not true baby, unless he is injured and doesn't want you to know about it." "Maybe, but maybe he's not my Kasey." I slumped just as Sam bounced into the room, he collected his daddy and aunty kisses then took a filled croissant, then I watched as he sat in front of the tv and picked at it. I will drive Sam to school this morning, just in case it's closed for the day and if it is, I will take him for a ride to mum's place and he can play with Billy. True to her word, the sun came out and it started to do its job, I could see steam rising from the balustrade outside and it lifted my mood a little. I got him into the car, and while I stood there buckling him up, I thought I would check whether I had a human or a body in my car park. I closed the door then I slowly walked over to the storage cage, something moved so I know I had a live one still, thank you, God. "My name is Adam, and I work at the hairdresser's next to the federal building down the road. I would like you to come by for a haircut and shave today, free of charge. Everything looks a lot better with a bit of a spruce-up. I am sorry about last night but it has been a difficult time for me, and sometimes I see and hear things, I apologize." He moaned then shuffled under the blanket so I turned and left him to it. Whoever he is he needs my help, and I will make every effort to get him back on track again. I wondered if he was a veteran, there are so many of them on the streets. When I cleaned up the unit yesterday there were no empty bottles of wine or cigarettes, so I knew he was just down on his luck. If he comes into the salon I will do my utmost to get him to talk, but if he doesn't. I will still feed him and still make him as comfortable as I can. I drove Sam to school, the teachers saw no damage and had decided to open for the day. They told me that some parents had damage to clean up, and it is best that the kids were safe and sound at kindy. She also said they would be closed in the next week or so, the school holidays had started and they usually shut down for those times, so I get my boy on his own for a week or so. I kissed him and got down on my haunches and said. "Are you okay baby?' "Yes daddy, I am good, we are a team, and we go on regardless." "Yes we do, and when we go on together, nothing can hurt us." He hugged me and I can't get enough of them because I loved him so much. I parked behind the shop and walked around to the front, I had given up going into dads office for any news and I didn't want to look him in the eyes anymore. I had lost my fight, but I will never give up on Kasey, not in a million years. My smells have dulled over the past months, it was like when Kase left, he took them with him, stolen from my heart and nose, only a few lingered for me to hold onto. I had decided to come back to work because there was nothing else for me to do except dwell on what will be. I said my good mornings, then made a coffee which I sat and sipped. It was good to see Trish there, she was working at my salon today just to keep up with things, and to make sure it's all running smoothly, but in reality she's there to watch me. I thanked her for breakfast then invited her for dinner. "I promise I will be in a better mood tonight." "You always are Adam, it's just that I am worried about you, sometimes you go off into your little world, and that can't be good." "I will survive Trish, who have I got today?" "Walk ins Adam, nothing too hard or drastic, we are covering the rest." "Thank you, and Sam will start his holidays next week I may take him to the cabin, just be aware I may not be around." "Anything you want Adam, go and recharge with your son." I was relieved and Trish will do good by me. I did three cuts for the guys from next door and they chattered on about their jobs, then moaned more about their pay rates. They are lucky to have jobs and even luckier that they aren't in a war-torn country. "Adam someone has just walked in and he's looking around, he's a homeless man, we don't want to upset him what do you want us to do?" Marko said when he poked his head in the door. "It's okay Marko I know him." I smiled. "You do?" I walked out the door and spied my car park man, he was looking at everything even picking things up and smelling them. "Hello I'm Adam, it's good to see you again." "Do you give shaves here, I think I have an important meeting to attend today." I knew that voice, or was I imagining things again. "We do, and if you are very lucky I will throw in a free shoulder massage, please follow me sir." He started to follow me out the back, all eyes were on him but he stopped suddenly and said. "That's not the way." He looked around again and walked straight to my station. He picked everything up and looked at it then stared at me. My legs were jelly when he did that, and I steeled myself for the avalanche that was to come. "Adam with an a?" "Kasey with a k, it is good to see you again, can you follow me and I will get you washed up." I couldn't make a big scene and those blue eyes confirmed I wasn't going insane, but he doesn't fully know me. I think he's trying to work his memories back bit by bit, something terrible has happened to him, my tears flowed down my cheeks and surprisingly my whole body relaxed, the tension I constantly felt over the last four months left me in an instant. After settled him into the taps I started washing his now very longish hair. I turned to look into the salon and the staff were staring at me. I couldn't stop the tears flowing down my face but I held myself firm and said. "Haven't you all got some work to do today?" They scuttled back to their customers and the front desk. As I massaged and washed his hair I noticed the big scar, he's been in the wars and maybe that scar will be the answer to some of the questions I have. I wrapped a big white fluffy towel around his head and steered him to my station. He slipped down the chair and his legs parted, then I walked over to Trish and whispered. "Pass it around, no one, and I mean no one is to know he's here, threaten them if you must. He is our vagrant from the car park, he is Kasey, but he doesn't know who he is, only my name and he knew my station, please give us some space." "God, Adam of course, this is a bloody miracle I cant turn away." Her tears matched mine and I went back to my Kasey. "Now my Kasey with a k, what are we doing for you today?" "A shave, and a haircut I think, why Kasey with a k?" "Because that's your name, that's what I call you, and you call me Adam with an a." "I can't remember you, but I remember your smells, are you the one I am looking for?" "Yes I am the one, I have some of the answers." He let out a deep breath and relaxed. I started making up the shaving cream. He watched intensely as I did my thing, My cut throat razor was doing its job cleaning all that awful muck from his beautiful face. He smelt a bit and his breath was rank, so I knew he had been doing it hard for some time. When I finished, I looked and there he was again, and I stroked his face, he didn't resist then I went over to Tim and said. "Not a word Tim, I warn you if you tell the commander he's here I will brain you, and pass that message onto the others." "You have our loyalty Adam, this is so wonderful to watch." I snipped away at Kasey's hair it was long enough for me to do an awesome job on it and it did look awesome. After I had unwrapped his beautiful head of all that hair I got bolder and said. "Have some lunch with me Kasey and we can talk." "I want the shoulder massage too." "Coming right up boss." I smiled then I went to work on him. He looked in the mirror and the more I massaged his shoulders the more he seemed to come alive, he suddenly jumped out of the chair and turned to me. "Sam I know a Sam don't I, am I right?" "Your awesome son is Sam." "My son, I have a son, I think I saw him with you in the carpark?" "Yes your son, he is at kindy at the moment." "And you are?" Here it goes. "Your partner, Sam's other daddy." "I don't know, I can't remember and it hurts when I try." I got him seated again then pulled over the trolly seat. I sat and looked at him face to face, and short of kissing him I didn't know how to handle this, but I did know I didn't want to scare him away. "Your actual name is Lance Casey, you are a Major in the Australian special forces. You are studying to be a lawyer, but before that, you were a bomb disposal expert with special forces. My name is Steven Sutton, I own this business and I had renamed myself Adam Sutton, it is my middle name. Sam is our much-loved adopted son, and I will tell you more about him later. Kasey, do you remember anything, your parents your sister anyone here?" "Not much, just the smells, I always smell wonderful smells all the time. I have been living on an island after I was plucked out of the sea by some fisherman. Always I had to get home, always it was Brisbane, whether I had seen it on tv or not I didn't know why. I knew after I worked on the fishing boats, Brisbane was the place I would get my answers. I arrived on a smugglers boat a month ago and made my way down south here. I instantly knew the apartment building but I don't know why, and have been hoping someone would recognise me, because I didn't know who I was. Adam do you have a headache pill?" He rubbed his head and started moaning. I went to the tea room and got two for him and a glass of water. He downed them and sat back. His eyes were not focussing and he needed help, I have to get him to the hospital and I told him so. "No, not a hospital please, I know I have to be unseen for some reason no one can know I'm here." "It has to do with your job, I can explain that, but for now we must eat, and then I will take you home, you can shower and change, that green building is where your home is." "Is it really my home?"" "Yes Kasey, yours mine and Sams home." "Can we just go there then Adam with an a." "Sure we can my Kasey with a k." I smiled through tears. I asked the staff to give me twenty-four hours and if I went missing they weren't to worry, I told Trish we would probably go to the cabin. I helped him to get upright, then I grabbed his coat and we started walking to the back door. Trish came up to us, she couldn't help herself, she grabbed Kasey and hugged him. "Welcome back soldier." "Thank you, Trish." He kissed her cheek and turned to leave. He knew her name at least, maybe returning here is bringing his memory back. I buckled him up and drove carefully home, he ran his hand over the dashboard and when we arrived he looked at the cage and I told him he won't be sleeping in it anymore. I will clean it out later when I get some time. He looked around the apartment and picked everything up to look at it, his medals were on the wall and he looked at them, and the photos of us all he stared at for ages. He took a deep breath and I steered him to the shower where he stripped down and gasped when he saw it. He grabbed my aftershave and started smelling it. He held it so close to his nose that it dribbled down his chin, and now we have tears, many many tears. The result was, that he curled up in a ball and cried his eyes out as I stroked his head, I had crawled in behind him and was holding his body into mine. "I am sorry Adam, I am so sorry." "Your home now, your safe, and there's no one here that will hurt you, you have to believe me." Kasey's cry was a howl a long drawn out howling sound he couldn't stop, I matched him but wasn't as loud. We held on for at least a half hour and when he relaxed I let him go then I started the shower. Sex wasn't on my mind and I didn't know how far to take the situation, he is remembering things swiftly and that may damage him some more. I started for the door. "Don't you want to shower with me anymore Adam with an a?" "Of course I do Kasey with a k, but are you sure?" "Yes get back here, now." He's giving the orders again and my tears came back as he enclosed me in his arms and deeply kissed me. The warm water ran over us like a waterfall and I soaped him up thoroughly, his hard-on had appeared somewhere between the ball sac wash and the nipple kiss, he wanted sex and I gratefully gave it to him. He whispered in my ear, 'I missed you, my love'. I was crying with happiness. It took almost an hour for us to get dressed, Kasey had remembered a lot of things in the past few hours, but he said it was like living in someone else's body, he can't connect the dots as yet, it was all still a blur. "Do you do that for all your customers?" "Do what?" "What you did to me, you know the sucking." He blushed. "Only for you Kasey, those moments are just for you." I smiled at least. He dressed in jeans and a top then he began to touch everything again. "Any more memories?" "No just feelings Adam, my attraction to you and this place is enormous inside." I made him sit at the table so I could drink him in. Coffee was produced and he started talking without any prompting. "I know this coffee." He mused then I smiled again. "Adam, I know this building. I know this apartment and that I was once very happy here. I even knew the salon because of the smells and I know something bad happened to it, I also know something traumatic happened here. I feel you I feel love for you and making love with you was awesome, and something I think I have longed for, thank you." "You're most welcome my beautiful friend." "I know I was in Indonesia for some reason and I remember a big explosion, that's all I can remember, but there is an urgent business matter I have to discuss with someone, and I can't remember what it's all about. And it is tugging at me hard in my mind, I cant be seen until I talk to him." "That would be my father General Sutton, he sent you to Indonesia to report back on the human and drug trafficking trade. You had done a lot of work previously on your laptop. Kasey for weeks after you left, you disappeared off the radar, you have been away for nearly four months." He sat back and stared at me. "We saw a big container ship explode in the east Timor sea on the news, we knew it had something to do with your disappearance. I know that was the ship you had earmarked in your computer search. Kase, something strange happened when that ship exploded, Sam was watching it and he said he saw you in the satellite image falling off the back it, only he could see you, no one else could see it. But I believed him, and maybe that scar on your head is the result of you being knocked out and thrown overboard by the blast." He was thinking about it all then he gently took my hands. "I was found in the water by some local fishermen who took me to their island. I couldn't remember a thing only one day I woke up and saw this place and the word Brisbane. I worked on the trawler until I could hitch a ride back to Australia. It took a long time but finally, I found a smuggler's boat. The urge to get here was enormous, and when I did, I then didn't know what to do until I saw you walking up the street one day. I somehow knew you, but didn't know you, does that make any sense?" "Perfect sense Kasey, you have been watching me for a few weeks now I think." "Yes, I think I have." "Do you want to watch the ship explosion?" "Not now Adam, I want to know this place better, and Sam is he a wonderful boy." "Shit Sam, we have to pick him up, he is waiting for you and he has been very patient and you're right he is a wonderful little soul." "Waiting?" "He knew you were alive and deep down so did I, and I promised him as soon as you turned up I would go and get him." "Then let's go, I feel this apartment isn't complete without him." He smiled. He stood up and looked around. "What happened here?" "Crazy military man tried to kill me and Sam, I was shot, you saved us and he jumped off the balcony to his death." "I see, were you hurt bad?" "Only one lung survived but I am well." He actually kissed me again, and this time it was a long one. I fired up the car and before I drove off he said. "There's a small pool on the roof." "Yes Kasey, there is, you and Sam used it a lot in summer." I carefully drove us to Sam's kindy, he sat there for a long time when we arrived, just looking out the window, then he said. "I can't remember it." "We always walk here, we came from a different direction today. Do you remember Sam?" "Yes a little, I remember he was filthy when we found him, and I remember his kisses and hugs, is he a beautiful little kid?" "Awesome Kasey, he adores you, and is very much loved. You rescued him in Irac from a resistance camp, he was filthy but he's all good now, we can talk more on that later." He followed me in and I spoke to the head girl, she had already said hello to Kasey, and was watching him not believing her eyes the Kasey was here in the flesh. "Papa!" He screamed as he ran out to the reception area, he jumped up into Kase's arms and the crying started. He had been a very brave, patient little boy, and now it is his time to let his worries loose. Kasey kissed and hugged him, then he started crying himself. I moved away to give them some space, then told my friend about his memory loss. We ended up with an audience, everyone that worked there had real concerns for Sam's daddy, they couldn't believe his iron clad resistance to any negative comments that were made by the other kids. "He can start his holidays early Adam, just ring us when hes ready to come back." She smiled then I hugged her. I took them both back home where Sam told him why he wasn't worried, Kasey winked at me and said. "I remember him, he is our son." "Small steps Kase small steps please," I replied. Sam showed him the ship explosion and I was on guard in case he reacted, but he didn't, and he watched the clip several times before he once again hugged Sam. He did a lot of walking around the apartment, he even went to look at Sam's room with him. After dinner, Sam sat on Kaseys knees at the table and then Kase flipped open his computer. He stared at it for a long time and I took the opportunity to ring Trish. I bought her up to speed as I walked out onto the balcony. I told her to just leave us for a few days, I wanted to get Kasey more comfortable with his surroundings, then slowly I will introduce him back into the outer world. Big arms surrounded me and a kiss on the neck told me he remembers some of these tender moments, but it would be a familiar kind of memory not the actual memory of our turbulent love life. I disconnected the call then I faced him, the big scar I had seen when I did his hair was now covered, and his bright blue eyes were taking my breath away. "Who is Billy?" "My little brother, your nephew, son of General Sutton your commander." "I can't remember my password did I write it down anywhere?" "Try, Kaseywithak,Adamwithana,Samwithans" I had broken into the computer one day I thought there may be a message for me from him in there. "I will try it." He kissed me then he said. "You smell awesome Adam, can I fuck you, thats if you don't mind?" "Yes, when Sam goes to bed, but beware he may want to sleep with us or he will want us to sleep on the floor, he calls it camping out." He smiled. "Why did you ask about Billy, have you remembered him?" "No, Sam was ringing him." I smiled. "He does that every night." NO! I let him go and rushed to the lounge he was talking wildly about his poppa coming home. I couldn't chastise him because I hadn't told him my plan yet, and I turned to Kasey and said. "Be prepared for a fight, dad will hear this and he will be knocking on our door within the hour." "He will come here?" "Yes, but he won't get in." "Why would he come here?" "The military has been searching for you for months, he will want to know what happened, and if you succeeded in your mission mainly, and he loves you like a son." "He won't get in then, I want to be with you and Sam?" He cuddled his son and smiled. "Kasey you have remembered some things, but the bigger things you have forgotten and they will take you away from us to try and find out what's going on in your head. They will try to debrief you, and I am terrified it will impact on your memory, we may never get it to fully recover." I was in a big panic maybe I will shift us into Trisha's so we, in reality, won't be home. He sat at the table while Sam talked away about a show he was watching. He put the password in and I watched the computer light up. It dinged furiously, more than a hundred times and when I looked they were all classmates professors, and military emails, Kasey blew out his breath and said. "I'm a popular man Adam." "You sure are, and a very important one. Ignore all of them except that one." I pointed to an email that he had sent. "It may be important." I added. He opened it up and it was a photo of the side of a small ship, there was nothing to determine what it was, but there was a blue circle painted on its side. He stared at it for ages and all he had written in the mail was `See post man.' "What does it mean?" "I don't know." He sat back and my doorbell started to go off. "That was quick, it must be his men. Come on let's all go into Trish's place." He grabbed my hand and said. "Let's not." I could see his eyes were searching the room again. "See post man, Adam were there any letters for me?' "Plenty, they are in your office I will go get them." My phone went off and I answered it. "Adam answer your fucking door." It was Wilson. "No, go away." I shut it off. I grabbed the bundle of mail I had put aside for him. he took them and started sorting them out, I had no idea what he was looking for, he did that five times and my doorbell kept on ringing. "Daddy someone at the door, can I answer it?' "No, ignore it baby." "This one." It was a letter addressed to him and there was a small blue circle on the back of it. He opened it and sat back, I looked, and it made no sense to me. "He wants this, and it's urgent he gets it, that's all I have, Adam let them in. I have a headache again, can I have some more pills?" I left the door and got him some pills he downed them then he grabbed Sam and sat him back on his knees. Then I let them in and I stood in my safe space wrapping the chain around my beautiful entrance cage the key was thrown onto the inner floor. I opened the main door and waited for the onslaught. Three men in full battle gear stopped abruptly in front of me. "Adam, you must let us pass." One familiar guy said. "Good to see you again Wilson, and you bought your mates along, Evans, Johns, play nice and I may let you in, and if you damage anything I will personally kill you all." I heard the whirring in the distance and Sam was screaming as he ran onto the balcony, ropes were hanging from the helicopter once again and once again my apartment was a battle zone. I called Sam to me and told him to pass the key, there was nothing I could do except calm everyone down by slowing them up. Four burly men marched into the room and one picked Sam up and he screamed. "Wow!" Kasey was sitting at the table with his mouth open, I dropped the chain and the boys pushed past me. Dad stared, no glared at me, and said. "Steven answer your fucking door next time. Major good to see you?" He looked at my man. Kasey with one fluid movement stood to attention and saluted. Sam screamed wow again, then I took him. "He's not well dad, he can't remember things. I wanted him to slowly regain some sort of memory for us first." He ignored me and turned to Kase again. "Stand down major." Which Kasey did then he took Sam off me. He smiled and dad grabbed him. "I missed you son, more than you will ever know." Wilson and Evans did the same and I threw my hands in the air when Trish popped her head in and said. "Everything okay in here Adam?" "Well, now the gangs all here, Trish you may as well come in and join the party." "I believe this is for you general." Kasey handed over the letter and dad looked at it. "Get this decoded asap Evans, go on, run." "Yes general." he snapped to attention then took the envelope, he handed it to Wilson then said. "Decode this asap Wilson." "Yes sir." "Men stand down and return to base." the other three men saluted and started to leave. "Go to the cafe downstairs and get a beer and something to eat, and thank you, it's on us." I then got on my phone and worded the cafe up it was to all go on my account. Evans had found a few beers, and Trish, two bottles of wine. "I can't believe the drama you cause Adam, but it is nice to see Kasey again." She kissed my man he said. "You too Trish, you live next door, am I correct?" "Correct, just across the hall Wilson and Eva live under your apartment. Eva also had a six-pack and a bottle of wine when she arrived. "Where is the party." She started crying when she saw Kasey. He cuddled her and said. "You all do a lot of crying here." "We thought you were dead." Eva let the cat out of the bag. "I didn't, no not me, my daddy just took his time to come home that's it," Sam said, and I mirrored his words then glared at my daddy. "These are times, dates, names, and phone numbers. This one says delivery in two days to the Darwin port, what is the blue circle, Kasey?" "I don't know I remember the red circle was the illegal imports boat." "Which you blew out of the waters I think," Evans said. "Pow!!" Sam screamed. "People smuggling." I quietly said. "What was that Adam?" Dad asked. "It stands for people smuggling dad." "Kids, it means kids on board" Kasey remembered then he opened his computer again. "Times of arrival, maybe names of the organizers and phone numbers of contacts, a thorough job Major well done. We got two days, your cutting it short." "This has to be kept top secret." He looked at everybody they all understood. "Major do you want to see this through with us?' Kasey looked at me, I think he needs help. "No thank you general, he's going nowhere," I answered for him. "Adam he needs help, I will send over the debriefers tomorrow morning." "No, he's not available for any of that." "Don't push it, Adam, it's work." "And how has that `work' turned out for you lately, you lost me weeks ago, now you want to lose Kasey by taking him back into a battle zone when he can't even remember his own phone number?" The glare back I got was familiar, we have been here before. I poured myself a wine and stood back, yes it's work but we don't have to play that game if we aren't here. I let them all catch up and watched Kasey's mood, he was confused but he listened to their stories, that is what he does. He listens, reads, and immerses himself in his work until he finds the answers. I could see Sam was getting very tired so I move to Kasey's side and whispered. "It's Sam's bedtime can you put him to bed?" He immediately got up and carried Sam to his room. He didn't resist and he had forgotten our camping nights. After some time the apartment cleared, I closed down the computer and took Kasey's hand then led him to our bedroom. He stripped and crawled into bed, he was mentally exhausted. I fell in beside him and his arm went behind my neck, his warmth had returned to our bed. "Is this right?" "Perfect Kase." "I don't want to go away again." "You won't be, I have a plan." "You always have a plan Adam with an a." "Good night Kasey with a k, sleep well." He kissed me one more time then I closed my eyes, yes I always have a plan. I was up early and as I let my boys sleep in, I went down to the carpark and loaded the car with what I thought we would need. I then cleaned out the storage unit throwing much of the stuff into the bin. But I did fold up the blankets, maybe someone else will want a dry bed for the night. When I got back Kasey was up and sitting with his coffee at the computer. "Good morning baby." "Good morning handsome." I smiled and then kissed him, his hand went for my crotch and I moved away while he moaned. "Plenty of time for that later on, we are going on a road trip today, so I want you dressed and showered within the hour." "Where are we going?" "To a cabin in the hills, it is one of Adele's properties. Sam and I spent time there while you were away, it's nice and quiet. You can pack your laptop up and bring it with you, most of what you want to know is on it. Everything will look a lot fresher up there, plenty of time to walk around and Sam can show you the sights." "There's only one sight I'm interested in Adam." "Then we had better have a shower together then." He was off that chair in an instant, my clothes were virtually ripped from my body and he was on his knees making me feel whole again, at least he hadn't forgotten that little job. I recharged my batteries in that shower and showed him what he had been missing, but it was swift because we had a small boy to attend to. He will need breakfast before we go, or maybe meccas on the way. "Sam, get dressed, we are going downstairs for breakfast today." "Okay, daddy." Kasey had his jeans and top on again, I did his hair and gelled it up slightly, he took my hands and smelled them for ages. "Bring your smells with you, Adam." "I will." I smiled. After throwing more clothes into a backpack I locked up and we left to go on a holiday. Sam was so excited he will see his new friends again. Donations to Nifty are gratefully accepted
