You may lose contact with that person for a few years but you never, ever forget them. That was the case with me and Mark. I met him on a hookup app of all places and we hit it off. I learned alot about him. He was a gamer and a furry (which I didnt understand and still dont). Handsome with shoulder length brown hair, beautiful green eyes. He was skinny with little muscle definition but I didnt care about that. Just listening to his voice could make me melt. He shared things about his past that I didnt and wouldnt judge him for. We decided to meet at an addiction support group. It was a chilly night. My friends came with for support. I waited anxiously to show. Just when I thought I had been stood up, he walked in. My heart was practically beating out of my chest. Our eyes met and he smiled. "I was afraid you werent going to show!" he chuckled. "My mom dropped me off. Im gonna go smoke before the meeting starts. Wanna join me?" I walked outside and we lit up. We made small talk. I was freezing. "Cold?" Mark asked. I nodded. He wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me. He smelled sooo good! We went inside and they had the meeting. After my friends wanted to stay and talk so Mark and I decided to sit in the back of my friends car. We talked more and held hands. We might have kissed but I don't remember. We lost contact after that. I was crushed cause I was in love with him. Time went by. I met someone else and got engaged. Unfortunately it only lasted a few months before he left me. That threw me into a spiral of depression and self doubt. Would I ever find someone else? Would they leave me like my ex? Throughout all of it, I never forgot Mark. Now that I was single again I wanted to find him and reconnect with him. I tried the last place he worked at when we met. They told me he had quit awhile ago. "Just out of curiosity, was he seeing anyone when he worked here?" The guy I spoke to who was a middle aged gay man smirked. "No. I tried to get him to go out with me but he said he was waiting for someone". Could it be? Had Mark never forgotten me either? Was he searching for me just as hard as I was for him? I didnt know. Still, it drove me nuts. Everytime I passed a subdivision or neighborhood I wonder if thats where he lived? Everytime I was out I would scan the people around me, hoping and praying that he would find me. One day I was at his previous job just browsing through the clothing racks when I heard a familiar voice. "Charlie?" I turned around and there he was. A little older and his hair was longer but it was still him. "Mark!" I said quietly. He hugged me. It felt so good to have him near me again. We went to a nearby coffee shop and caught up on our lives. I told him about my ex. He frowned. "Im so sorry he did that. I never would have done that to you". I smiled. "What about you? Are you seeing anyone?" Mark laughed. "No. I dated this one guy for a minute but I had to end it". I nodded. "Mind if I ask why?" He looked at me. "Cause he wasnt you!" He reached across the table and took my hand in his. "Would you....like to have dinner with me?" I grinned like an idiot. "Sure. When?" he smirked. "How about now?" I nodded. We went to a Chinese restaurant and had fun and talked. If felt like old times. After dinner I drove him home. We sat there in silence. "Thanks for dinner" Mark said. I nodded. "No problem". He leaned in. I smiled. "What are you doing?" he moved back. "I wanted to kiss you, if thats ok?" I laughed. "Oh! Please do!" We leaned in until I felt his lips on mine. We French kissed, our tongues sliding together like two horny eels. "God I missed you!" Mark exclaimed . I smiled and nodded. "Me too. Call me tomarrow?" He nodded. "You know I will". We kissed once more before he got out. To be continued...... Hope yall liked part 1. I promise part 2 will be more spicy. This is based partly on a true story.
