"Let's discuss our plans for the day." Robbie looked up from his plate
listened to what their plans were. The couple shrugged and said they had

lunch and returned to rest before dinner last night. They had no plans for

Then Tommy remembered that there was an outlet mall just north of Palm
Springs and they could stop there and do some selective shopping. They have
everything from Mark Jacobs, Versace, Marc Cross, Canalli, Cole Haan and
Armani. It really is a great place to shop at mostly reasonable
prices. It's called Cabazon and it is huge!! So, let's get packed and get
ready to leave after breakfast.

We can head south, stop at the outlets and have some fun. I made
reservations at a gay hotel in area called Warm Sands. The resort is called
Santiago.

They have a wonderful collection of Gay Inns and Motels, clothing optional,
very clean and some have a free breakfast buffet included in the price:
Cereal, rolls, toast, muffins, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit and assorted
fresh juices. Most resorts also have Happy Hour around 5:00ish where they
serve light snacks, wine and beer. As you know there is a huge selection of
restaurants as well. I thought we could spend tomorrow night there and then
move down to Palm Desert the next day. Robbie and I have appointments with
realtors for both houses and for two more restaurants I'm interested in.

"That sounds great." Tommy said smiling, "Let's eat up and get the hell out
of this `horrible' hotel with the lousy food, terrible service and lumpy
beds. I can't believe anyone would want to stay here!" Everyone started to
laugh because the hotel was one of the best in the world and everything had
been more than perfect. Breakfast had been fabulous and the service superb
as well. True, It was expensive, but what the hell!

The men went back to the bungalow and finished packing while Robbie called
the front desk and had them send a bellman to gather the luggage and
requested the cars be brought to the front. He was informed the bill
finalized and waiting for signature. Ben asked for their share of the
bungalow charge (apprehensively) and Robbie said it was the on the

The men got into their separate cars and headed south for the desert. They
were excited, Ben and Carlton were going to see more friends, Tommy was
looking forward to visiting the factory outlet mall, and Robbie was jazzed
about seeing more restaurants and both he and Tommy were curious about
looking for a second home. It was a beautiful day and the drive was easy.

They arrived at the Cabazon Shopping Outlets, directly across from a large
Indian Casino. The Casino included a hotel and the parking lot was
packed. They parked next to each other and walked towards the mall. It was
huge and it seemed every kind of store known to man or women was there.

They stopped at Mark Cross first and both Ben and Tommy wanted to go to
Cole Haan for some shoes. The men splurged and bought some things and
didn't spent a small fortune. Although while in Armani, Robbie found a

price. The retail price was $1400 and the mark down sale price - at the

Robbie took it up to the desk and asked if the price was right, for the

afford it then you shouldn't be shopping here. After all, this is Armani!"

Robbie asked for the Manager and when he came over with a smirk on his face
as well asked what the problem was. Robbie told him how rudely he felt he
was treated. The manager said what she had told him was true. Robbie was
furious at this and politely asked him for a phone. He really did want to
talk to his friend and didn't want to seem like a set up call. The manager
dialed his bank and asked for the President of the bank, Mr. Wilson, and
saying that "Robbie Blackford is calling." When Mr. Wilson was reached,
Robbie simply said, to please tell this idiot manager at the Armani outlet
what my current bank balance is!

Mr. Wilson laughed and Robbie handed the phone back to the Manager. He
heard Mr. Wilson talking to the manager who stood there with an open
slightly gaping mouth and turning totally pale. He slowly hung up the phone
and started to apologize. "What did Mr. Wilson tell you?"

With a stuttering voice he simply replied, "The balance in one account only
was roughly $4.5 million and the other 5 account's (not including two
savings accounts, stocks and bonds) was roughly another $67 million. Robbie
raised his hand and politely said, "Please save it for your more affluent
customers. As it seems that I must have insufficient funds to shop
here. SoÉ we will take our business elsewhere." And then using the line
from `Pretty Woman' "We have to go shopping now," the men turned and walked
out of the store, leaving the staff speechless and slack jawed!!!

The men walked and laughed at the way Robbie had handled it. Although Ben
and Carlton were somewhat surprised at the amount of money, they knew that
both had moneyÉ but NOT that much that Robbie had. WOW!!!! Nothing was
said happily since it wouldn't affect their friendship in any way. Ben and
Carlton were both very comfortable, and had some money, but no-where near
that comfortableÉ

The men stopped for coffee and then took their bags to their cars. They
entered the desert resort town and were amazed at all the people walking
around and the many restaurants and shops. Tommy asked if anyone was hungry
over the phone and everyone said yes since it was reaching 1 o'clock. Down
the street here there was a fabulous Mexican restaurant called the `Blue
Coyote.' "Let's stop here Robbie suggested and do a light lunch and then
off the hotel. We can decide where to go to dinner during lunch. How does
that sound.  Everyone agreed, parked and walked into the charming
restaurant that had a large patio with bright colors and very light water
misters cooling off everything. They were seated right away and started to
peruse the menu.

Carlton spoke first and said, "Lunch is on us today and dinner as well and
THERE WILL BE NO ARGUMENTS!! Do I make myself clear, MISTER!!" Robbie
chuckled and said sheepishly, "yes Sir!! We understand Sir!!!" Everyone
started to laugh.

The menu looked like fun and Robbie ordered a large order of their famous
Guacamole and chips and a pitcher of margaritas. Ben and Carlton ordered
the combo plate with one chicken enchilada and a beef taco with rice and
beans. Robbie ordered a chicken tostada, while Tommy ordered the Carnitas
with rice and beans. The Guacamole was fabulous and the fresh chips were
made fresh daily. Lunch came and the servings were huge! The men dug in and
consumed the food and the margaritas. Everyone was full and declined the
Flan that was offered for dessert. No one wanted coffee. The bill was
brought and Carlton paid the check. Everyone decided to walk a bit to let
lunch settle before going on to the hotel.

It was very warm and after brief walk all wanted to go check in, have a
swim, and maybe a nap (wink wink!). They arrived and found parking right in
front, got their bags and walked in through the gate and to the office to
check in. They had rooms next to each other. The grounds were beautiful,
lush with many flowers, tables and chairs under large umbrellas. There were
a dozen people or so lounging by the pool, some nude and others in skimpy
bikinis on brightly colored lounges. The rooms were spacious and contained
king size beds and the bathrooms were large and the towels looked fluffy.

The men quickly unpacked and met out at the pool. All were naked and Robbie
was the first to dive in to get refreshed. They had dropped towels on the
lounges and the others soon followed. Since they were all very good
looking, well-built, hairy and hung, they got more than a few sexy glances
by those sitting at the pool.

The men swan for a bit and then got out to lay in the sun. Tommy asked if
anyone wanted an iced tea from the bar area and all said yes. While he was
getting the iced tea, a very good-looking, well build, hairy brunette got

thought Tommy was super-hot and asked if he wanted to go back to his room

Tommy was astounded by the offer, smiled and said politely that he thought
his husband would really object and he was not interested, but thanks

is good for you, you will take your hand off me right now. My husband has a

if you value your life and want to continue your vacation in a peace, then
move away and leave all of us all alone!"

At this point, Robbie got up and headed for the pair. Charles looked a bit
shaken, and said politely, "Hey man, I'm sorry, you can't hurt a man for
trying right?" You guys are all studs and this is what happens here
sometimes." He slowly walked back to his lounge chair, collected his things
and walked back to his room alone.

Robbie continued to walk over to Tommy and asked if he could help with the
tea. Then exclaimed, "God, I can't leave you alone for a minute, without

He then started to laugh and put the glass of iced tea down and gave him a

men grabbed two tall glasses of tea each and sauntered back to Ben and
Carlton.

can't take you anywhere, can we?"  Turning to Robbie he continued, "Is he

Hunters and then maybe check out a few other places as well.

It all sounded great. The men laid in the sun and swam leisurely, then

vacation great??

Desert which is about a 30-minute drive South, and then we are going to
look at a few houses in the early afternoon. Nothing other than that."

"We found a few houses worth looking at. One has five bedrooms, all with
on-suite and a pool and spa that seems to be in a great neighborhood. That
one is even selling with all the furnishings as they are moving to Europe
and don't want to cart it all. It's designed for desert living, so we will
have to see how it compares."

"That all sounds intriguing Son. I am excited that you are venturing out a
bit. Have a great evening and give Tommy our love. Say hello to Ben and
Carlton for us.  We really enjoyed meeting them."

Robbie hung up after telling his Father that he loved him and thanked him
for the call. He turned to the group and told them the numbers and everyone
was excited. Robbie said he would call Timothy in the morning and finalize
the deal. Tommy grabbed his husband and pair men kissed while others
congratulated him.

Ben decided to drive that evening, so they got in the car and were off to
dinner at Miro's, looking forward to a great dinner and an even greater
evening.

They are in the desert and have found a great lodge called Santiago,
clothing optional, well maintained and welcoming. (We have personally
stayed there and it is a delightful place, clean, quiet and very well
run. Check it out!!)
