When Tom poked his head into Steven's office, he saw Steven half naked with his legs spread. It was obvious Steven didn't want anything rubbing against his tender cock. With Steven on a conference call, Tom quickly ducked out not wanting to disturb is sore friend. Hearing Tom when he arrived home, Steven finished his video conference call, heading into the kitchen. Tom looked up, smirking at Steven's predicament asking how, "How are you doing?" Steven abruptly replied deadpan, "Sore, very, very sore." Tom deviously smiled, walking up to Steven got down on his knees saying, "Let Nurse Tom make it better." With a horrified look on his face, Steven stepped back in a panic, quickly placing his hands to shield his battered cock telling Tom, "Don't you even look at it." As he turned and walked away. Knowing the cupboards were bare, Tom asked, "Do you want to go shopping?" With the thoughts of wearing pants, Steven shook his head `no'. Knowing they needed food, Tom grabbed a pen as he sat down at the counter, he made a list of things they needed asking Steven if there is anything else. They discussed what they wanted to make this week before Steven pointed out about getting stuff for the pantry too. With his list complete, Tom thought it was a good idea, grabbing his keys he kissed Steven as headed out the door, "Text if there is something we forgot." Steven went upstairs to rub some ointment on his cock. Returning to the kitchen, he went through his recipes texting Tom a few extra things that they needed. Receiving Steven's message, Tom replied he was at the hardware store picking up some things and would add that to the list. Tom pushed his cart to the bird feed aisle loading the cart with several bags of bird feed, he also bought several types of bird feeders as well as a case of suet and suet cages. He saw a squirrel feeder picking that up as well, along with ears of corn and small critter food. The sock with thistle seed caught his eye, knowing that would attract the finches as well. Tom always enjoyed watching the birds at the feeder, thinking Steven would enjoy it too. He went down to the container aisle looking for storage containers for the seed on his cart. Pleasantly surprised, he ran into Jake, who noticed the full shopping cart. Jake commented about Tom buying the store out. Tom joked he should hurry as there was hardly anything left. Jake made believe he was going to run that second like he was on a shopping spree. They both laughed hardily. Knowing this Saturday was food pantry, Jake asked about Saturday. Tom knew what Jake meant and mentioned Steven was going to help. Giving Tom a high-five in the aisle, Jake said he was happy to hear that. Jake mentioned Skeets was going to help this year with his new beau and Tom rolled his eyes. Jake smiled, saying he heard about them in the back of the old fire truck. Tom laughed, saying he witnessed it from above. Jake was surprised saying, "Really?" Tom shook his head `yes' trying to be nonchalant about the episode telling Jake he heard them in the back of the truck they were cleaning, but when he saw the guy's dog in the pen with Gabriel, he put two and two together. Tom told him, he was fucking him on top of the back of the truck where the hoses were stored. I went upstairs looking down saw them going at it. He didn't even know I was there, I left going for a walk along the canal when the guy he just fucked walked toward me. Hot looking guy, he was walking the dog, I stopped to pet the dog and we had a small conversation. Jake said he met him later, Skeets brought the guy to Sam's bar introducing us as they had a drink. It looked promising for Skeets, the guy seemed totally into him. Tom just smiled and said, "Oh, boy, Good for Skeets." Jake said hopefully, you know how he hounded Sam and me for a three-way. Was always trying to invite himself over. Sam always found him too crass. Looking at his phone, Jake said he had to go as Tom proceeded to the checkout. The lady teased him asking was there was anything left. After placing the supplies into the back of his truck, he headed to the grocery store, quickly text Steven to see if he needed anything more. Steven replied he thought he had everything on the list. Steven sat there with the greasy ointment on his cock. It soothed it, but then he was getting the grease on his legs. He put a towel down on the chair and continued to do a little more work. When Tom came home, Steven put away the groceries as Tom brought them in. When Tom sat all the bird feeders next to the door by the patio, Steven asked did he leave any for anybody else. Tom looked at him, asking, "Why is everyone saying that?" Steven with his head down, looked up at Tom, giving him the look, "Isn't it obvious." Steven said, "I don't understand your fascination with birds? Why do you have to feed them? Don't they all fly south?" Tom laughed defending his actions, "I just like watching them during the winter." Steven pointed to his greasy cock, saying, "You can watch mine." Tom rolled his eyes, coughed before saying, "I want variety." Steven stood there, "Oh." And turned to finish putting the groceries away. Tom nodded his face towards Steven's wounded soldier, quickly snapped, "I'm just too much for your cock." Tom returning from the cleaning closet entered the kitchen wrapping his arms around Steven pulling him close, giving Tom a kiss saying, "I love you, my little coo-coo bird." Steven held onto his arms as Tom quipped, "I love you to my little woodpecker." Steven accidently brushed up against Tom, his cock made contact with Tom's hand. Tom felt the ointment from Steven's cock on his hand, quickly withdrew. Asking, "What the fuck is that stuff?" Steven who jerked away from Tom's hand smiled, "It makes my pee-pee feel better." Tom shook his head, "Really?" Tom quickly made supper as Steven half naked set the counter. As they ate dinner, Tom enthusiastically talked about the different types birds; what food would attract what birds; how high he has to hang the feeders; what is suet and it would be fun to watch the feathered world out the widows. Not wanting to give up on Steven's lack of enthusiasm, Tom deep down wished Steven could share the excitement. Tom was hanging on to hope that maybe Steven will come around, when he sees all the birds that interact with the squirrels at the feeders. After dinner they cleared the table and did their nightly chores. Tom eventually stripped, getting on the sofa, his leg stretched across the back of the seat, his other leg off to an angle, bent down his foot resting on the floor. Steven sat between Tom's splayed legs, cuddling up to Tom's warm furry chest, as Tom wrapped an arm around his shoulder. Flipping through the television channels, Steven didn't find anything he liked, but enjoy the comfort of resting against Tom's body. As they channeled surf, Tom delicately ran his fingers through Steven's thick hair asking, "What are our holiday plans?" Steven said, "I thought we would have Thanksgiving here, invite my family, Bev and whoever from your family, you want to invite." Tom said, "I guess it would be Ken and his family, as Mom and Melinda stay in Florida. I guess the kids will be here." Steven said, "Fred and Wayne usually come for the weekend." Tom said, "A big gathering." Steven shook his head `yes', and said, "That's why I bought this house for the big holiday get together." Tom held onto him, liking the idea of family. Hearing a bird on the television, Steven asked sarcastically for Tom to identify it. Tom realized Steven knew nothing about birds quipped, "A yellow-bellied sapsucker." Steven sat up, turning around, "Seriously, there is a bird called that? I just thought it was something kids said to other kids being mean." Tom smirked, "Yes, there is such a thing." Steven laughed, laying against Tom, his fingertips playing with Tom's thick leg hair. Tom asked, "Would you go to the candlelight church service with me?" Steven replied and liked the idea, tip his head up to kiss Tom on the lip, letting Tom know that he sincerely wanted to go with him. Tom was touched, he felt in his heart Steven was genuine. Tom sat there with a tear in his eye, he could never get anyone to go with him, not even his ex-wife. Tom leaned down, kissing Steven on the forehead, thanking him. Steven turned to look Tom in the eyes, he smiled at Tom's handsome face as he said out of the blue he was looking forward to helping at the pantry this Saturday. That made Tom extremely happy, his excitement Tom explained his dad and he would help out at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. It was their thing to do. As he ran his fingers through Steven's hair, saying, "I miss doing that with him, I glad I have found someone to do that with me, Dad would definitely approve." Steven hugged him, wiping the tear from Tom's eye, saying, "Well, now you have me. I wish I could have met your dad, I would want to thank him for raising such a beautiful son, know you helped the community was one of the things that attracted me to you!" Tom was so glad this angel fell from the sky right in front of him last spring. At that moment he felt a closeness with his dad, thanking him for sending Steven his way. Sniffling from the range of emotions, Tom was looking forward to the holidays, hearing Steven reaffirmed why he loved this man so much. He gazed down with watery eyes, stroking Steven's face with his hand. He was gazing into the eyes of his angel. As the night continued on, his eyelids were getting heavy, he fought to stay awake while Steven laid across his lap. Realizing it was that time of night, Tom was super sleepy coaxing Steven to get up as they needed to head upstairs. They got in bed Steven spooned holding onto Tom's chest. When they woke up in the cool morning, Tom kissed Steven before he dashed to the bathroom. Steven heard the familiar sound of Tom relieving his bladder into the toilet, waited till he heard the shower running before he got out from under those warm blankets. After breakfast, Steven asked for a peck from his coo-coo bird, snorting as Steven was still making fun of him, Tom kissed Steven good-bye as he headed out the door. Knowing he was being watched, Tom ran crazily to his truck, repeating coo-coo as he flapped his arms. Steven laughed as he watched his `nut' got in his truck, driving away. Being alone, Steven felt his cock brush against the soft sweatpants deciding that was a bad idea. Removing the soft fabric from his cock, Steven went to his office in just a shirt. Calling Gladys at the office, Steven told her he would work from home again today. Steven sat working on the drawings for his project losing track of time. Tom came home after work, concerned about Steven, Tom popped his head into his office to check up on him and asking if he wanted to help with the bird feeders. Rolling his eyes, Steven reluctantly said "yes", knowing he was going to regret the decision. Tom went upstairs to get changed, rushing downstairs naked, he looked in the dryer for something. Finding the left-behind article, he went back upstairs to get dressed. Once dressed, Tom went to the garage to retrieve the ladder and wire. Carrying the ladder outside to the back, Steven put on his sweatpants stepping out the patio door to join him. Looking up in the trees, Tom was deciding what branches he could hang them from. He wanted to make sure they could see them out of the windows. Getting cold, this mission was taking longer than Steven anticipated, but held the ladder as Tom wired them to the appropriate branches. Thinking Tom went overboard as he hung different types of feeders and suet cages. He didn't understand what the green metal cages were for, or what `suet' was for that matter. Occasionally blurting out, coo-coo, Steven would be looking in a different direction, when Tom looked down at him. Steven handed a square package with happy birds on the label from a box when Tom asked for it. Tom opened the square packaging pulling out something that looked like fat containing birdfeed, he watched with a wrinkled nose as Tom opened the cage placing the suet inside. He didn't understand how that was going to attract birds. He was picturing a scene from the movie "The Birds" and being attacked when he would go outside. Seeing more of the odd structures on the ground waiting to be nicely hung, Steven wasn't quite sure what was going on, he was cold and wanted to go inside. Tom went inside returning back with the drill, pressing the trigger, he annoyed Steven with the sound of the electric motor. Asking Steven to place the box against the tree, Tom eyed it making sure it was in the right area and at the right level. With Steven holding it to the tree, Tom attached the squirrel feeder with a long screw, cursing when the screw wouldn't go all the way in. Moving the feeder a few inches per Tom's request, Steven was trying to figure out how they would get the food, it had a lid. Tom asked, "Honey, can you open that bag there of small critter food and put some in the squirrel feeder." Steven thought, "Are you serious, not only do you want to feed birds, you have to feed squirrels too. "Not having a clue, he knew they were feeding wild creatures, Steven asked if they had to put watering dishes out for them as well. Filling up the squirrel feeders, Steven thought he could just stand out with a bag like they do in the parks in the city. He imagined Tom selling small bags of peanuts to all the neighbors so they could feed the squirrels. When Tom looked down to see Steven smiling due to unknown thoughts, he was glad Steven was finally showing some interest. Tom just rolled his eyes, he climbed the ladder asking Steven to bring the bags of bird food outside. Tom explained which food went into which feeders, Steven feeling like he was in high school, listening to some boring lecture on an ameba's asexual reproduction. After filling the bird feeders, Tom attached some spiral thing to a branch placing a corn cob inside. Again explained enthusiastically, as Steven smiled going through the motions of paying attention and interest. When he called Steven's name and got no response, Tom knew otherwise. Steven was relieved and looking to go inside when Tom mentioned that the last thing he had to do was attach the sock near a bush about five feet from the ground. When asked if it looked good, Steven isn't paying attention said, "Yes." Having enough of the cold, he went back inside, leaving the cleanup for nature boy. When Tom came inside, Steven stood by the window mocking Tom with the swarm of birds that were outside. Tom sensed Steven's sarcasm calmly asked him to be patient as in a few days the birds will find it and they will be happy. Steven mockingly sang the opening lines to the Logical Song, Tom just turned an ignored him. Once he was warm, Steven removed his sweats heading into the kitchen to cook dinner. Tom joined him holding Steven as he wore his apron and his usual smile. Tom sat the table and they both enjoyed dinner together. Knowing not to bring up the bird feeders, Tom asked about decorating for the holidays. Starting off with Christmas, Steven mentioned he usually preferred a live tree saying he had decorations for at least three. Contemplating as he looked around the house, Steven mentioned he would like to have at least two trees, one with ornaments his grandmother made and another based on glass ornaments he collected through the years, or what he called his German ornaments. Thinking back on his childhood, Tom commented about the smell of a live tree, and Steven agreed. Tom suggested a Balled tree that they could plant outside. Steven thought it was a good idea as he saw places in the yard where he could plant two to give them more privacy in the back yard. Tom asked about Christmas dinner, Steven replied, "The family most likely would return here for Christmas, he made a traditional ham, and members would bring a coordinated dish to share." Steven continued, "I'd like to decorate the windows with candles and get wreaths with red bows. I liked a traditional look, I think the house would look good in Christmas roping." Tom thought it would look pretty, He was looking forward to spending Christmas with Steven and not alone as he usually had done. His eyes started to well up, thinking about their first Christmas together. He knew it was going to be special. After dinner, Steven was waiting to present his surprise for Tom. The sat on the sofa not really paying attention to the gameshows playing on the television. Steven brought his laptop from his office placing it on the coffee table. Looking at Tom, Steven said, "I have a little surprise for you." Tom looked up in wonderment, curious that Steven wanted to show him. Steven clicked on a link in an email. The browser appeared asking for a username and password. Steven nervously typed it in, getting it wrong the first time. After he succeeded, he click on another link, showing Tom the proofs that Rex took of their wedding. When Tom realized what he was looking at, he saddled up next to Steven, his eyes glued to the screen, looking at their big day from a few weeks ago. Steven clicked on the first picture, asking Tom not to be critical, just look and we can pick out what ones we like after we seen them all. Tom rubbed his hands together in anticipation seeing the wedding pictures for the first time. It started with the Cabin Run covered bridge, Tom really liked the one with them standing in the water, holding each other and the bridge in the background. Tom thought it would make great cover, Tom knew Rex was a great photographer, he couldn't believe the quality of the proofs. There were a lot of pictures to go through. He thought the pictures of the horse drawn carriage in the bridge were just awesome. He knew by looking at the pictures it would be hard to make a decision. Tom and Steven were taken in by the Stover Mills shot, they sat there with their mouths agape, Steven looked at Tom asking if it was really them. Tom placed his arm around Steven, pulling him towards him as they continued to look at the pictures. The next shots were at the house as the two men were getting ready. They laughed when they saw some surprises shots of Bev getting ready. There were several with her flirting with Evan. They both had a good chuckle as Bev ran to the carriage, catching up and being hoisted aboard, as they rode to the pavilion. Steven had a tear in his eye, seeing how beautiful she looked. They both got choked up with their entrance pictures before the ceremony, they commented on how handsome the other was. Tom got tears in his eyes, when Rex was able to capture Melinda, showing her natural beauty. They both loved the pictures of Tom's niece as she sang, they knew they wanted a picture of that. His brother would appreciate his daughter's picture. They both got emotional when they saw themselves placing a ring on the other's fingers. It was definitely something they wanted for the house. As they continued to click through the pictures, showing the wedding party standing among the natural beauty of the park, they knew it was going to be a tough decision picking and choosing. They had a few laughs as they looked at the reception pictures, seeing things they missed, and everyone having fun. Tom pointed out that Warren and Luann looked like they were having a fun time. Though it was awkward for them. When they were done, Tom tusled Steven's hair, kissing him on the lips, saying let's see if we can narrow down some of these pictures. Steven asked who they need albums for. Tom replied, "Bev and Melinda, the others we can give them a framed picture. I would think Skeets would want a few of him driving the horses and carriage, Kenneth of his daughter, our mom's would like pictures of them standing with us. Steven called up onenote on his computer and started taking notes on which pictures for which people as well as their album and Bev's and Melinda's. They knew this was going to a long process. Wanting to share the photographs, Tom texted Sam to come over with Jake, as they went through the process over again, this time with input from his cousin and Jake. Not realizing where the time went, the four had a range of emotions as they went through all the proofs. When they realized they were all up past their bedtime, they all said their goodnights. Tom heaed upstairs with Steven, stripping before getting to bed. Tom couldn't sleep because of excitement seeing the photos for the first time. Steven tossed and turned all night, both not getting a good nights rest.
