Daniel woke up as well when I began moving, and we both visited the bathroom to empty our bladders. Then it was quickly back to bed. Daniel spooned me, and rubbed his face against the back of my neck. He really likes that spot. His warm groin and cock pressed against me, while his hand rubbed my furry belly down to my pubic hair. Of course, we both responded quickly to the contact. Soon he's rubbing his stiff organ against me, up and down my crack. It felt great, and it drove my desire to be screwed. He already knew that would be the result of his action, which was exactly why he did it. I felt his teeth against my neck, and he gently bit and licked me as his hips moved. I knew this turned him on mightily, because he always leaks so much when he does it. I let him go, and just allowed him to do whatever he wanted to me. I knew how it'd end, and I looked forward to it. His hand found my rock hard dick, and he began to stroke me. He gripped me differently, this time his thumb was toward my body, and it made the sensation feel new. "Mmmmm ... feels nice." I mumbled and my own precome began to lube his hand. He moved his fingers over the head, picked it up and rubbed it down my shaft. Then went back to his backwards hand job. "Oh man. Yeah, keep doing that." He buried his face in my neck and inhaled. I felt his hips move side to side, and his cock was in position. He pushed, and thanks to all of his natural lubricant his head slipped into me. I inhaled and he licked my neck. He waited about ten seconds, then he began to move his hips slowly back and forth in ever larger thrusts. Soon he was buried to the hilt, and I moaned. He leaned forward, his mouth by my ear. "I love you Wayne." Then he allowed his hips to start that familiar motion, and drove himself in and out of me in a slow and wonderful rhythm. "I ... I love you Daniel." I swallowed, and put my hand on his leg. I liked the feel of his muscles working as his pelvis moved. "Ah god." I arched my neck and he gently bit and then licked the exposed flesh there. Everything he did felt as if it were crafted personally for me - as if this were a gift only I would ever receive from him. And I hoped that were true. His hand on me began to pick up speed. I was already close, and this pushed me to the edge quickly. His hips hammered against me - no longer gentle, but needful and insistent. "Ah. Fuck. I'm coming." I whispered, and my breath came in gasps. My body spasmed in its release, and I tried to catch the semen in my hand as it shot out of me. I managed to get most of it, and kept the sheet from getting too dirty. I caught all of Daniel's. He groaned, his teeth latched on a little harder on my right trapezoid, and he shot into my body. I loved how he twitched, moaned and moved when he got off. He pushed and writhed against me, then finally ended with a euphoric shudder. He breathed against my neck, and kissed the skin there softly. His lips and kisses caused chill bumps to rise, and I giggled at the sensation. "Mmmm ... this is how you start the day." He grinned and moved his hips a little, making his cock slide back and forth inside me. "I completely agree." I patted his hip. "But we should get ready. I can already hear the kids running around upstairs." I sighed. "We're lucky they've not come down here already." We forced ourselves up, and cleaned up in the shower. Then we got dressed, and went upstairs to face the excitement of two kids on Christmas Eve morning. And now we're ALL up thanks those aforementioned very excited kids. Today is a rest day for both Daniel and I. Meaning we don't work out, and use the day for recovery. It's also tradition in our family that we all get to open one gift today. And the kids know it. I told Laura the kids could open the ones we had shipped for their Christmas Eve gift, and she agreed. I don't make a ton of money, but I will spend what I can on them to buy something they'll like, or something they can use. For Miranda, I got her a cute little panda backpack since she's starting school next year. And inside it is a nice set of colored pencils, pastels, markers, and a thick art pad. Laura told me she is always drawing, and that she would love my choices. Josh is a HUGE Harry Potter fan. So I got him a couple of Harry Potter themed coloring books and some colored pencils for him too. And ... because he's such a boy, I got him a nice Nerf gun. Since it's not much fun to be the only one armed, I actually got two, and have that one as a gift for Matt. That way Josh can play with his dad. I think Matt will like that too. Laura ... for her I got a really nice frame. And there's a picture of our family in it that I had restored, blown up, and put in. It was our last holiday with mom and dad. Matt and Laura came up to visit for Christmas in 2014, and our parents insisted we go take the photo, professionally by a fellow in Humboldt where our family home - my home now, is. Miranda was barely 1, and Matt held her. Laura had her arms draped over Josh's shoulders. I sat to the left of their family. And mom and dad were behind us, standing with smiles that could light up a city block. They loved us fiercely. Just thinking about it ... brings back the magnitude of our loss. But they need to be remembered. They are more than deserving of that. Before our trip, Daniel INSISTED he be allowed to buy a gift for the family. And I resisted what he wanted to purchase, because of the expense. But he wouldn't take no for an answer. He had me sit with him, and we picked out a great espresso machine for them. It's a fantastic model, and I know both Laura and Matt have wanted one for years. They could never quite justify the expense, and now they don't have to. Daniel also put both of our names on the gift, though he wouldn't let me contribute to the cost. He kept reminding me of how much money staying with the family was saving him. He finally wore me down and I relented. Now that I see what coffee fiends they are, I think it will go over well. :-D We're up, so I began to assemble the ingredients for the coffee pot, while Josh buzzed around the kitchen. "Uncle Wayne! You said we can open yours, right?" He couldn't hold still and bounced on his toes, his green eyes open wide and his hands wringing in unconscious nervous energy. Miranda was right there beside him and she had her little hands clasped together, and looked as if she were holding her breath, waiting for me to speak. "Yes, but your mom and dad have to be here, and they get to decide when you open them." Both of the kids took off, running down the hall to Laura and Matt's bedroom. I heard the door fling open, and Matt's voice boomed out in a mighty groan. "Noooo! Kids, let us sleep!" Laura's voice could be heard laughing, and then after some grumbling so could Matt's. Daniel looked at me and grinned. "You'd better get that coffee going." I made a face and nodded. Sure enough a few minutes later Matt staggered into the living room, led by the hands by his overeager son. He was again dressed in a t shirt and a pair of shorts. Laura followed with Miranda in her arms. She had thrown on a robe, and smiled at Matt's back. I poked my head into the living room. "Coffee's on. It'll be ready in a few minutes." "Thank god." Matt sat down on the couch and looked at his son. "Okay. Go get the gift from your uncle, and then bring it over here to me." Josh dashed to the tree, grabbed the package with his name on it, and ran back over to his dad. Laura whispered to Miranda, put her down, and she ran over to the tree, then looked at her mom. Laura nodded, giving permission, and my beautiful niece picked up her gift and walked over to Matt as well. I felt a surge of trepidation. I hoped the gifts warranted their excitement! Matt made a big show of reading the tag on the package. "J.O.S.H." He spelled, very slowly. His son twitched. "That's me dad! Me me!" He reached and Matt grinned, then handed the package to him. Paper flew and he held both both the coloring books and the colored pencils in one hand, and the nerf gun in the other. His eyes were huge. "YEEEEES!" The coloring books and pencils were tossed on the couch, and he started tearing at the cardboard packaging of the Nerf gun. I nodded to myself. I figured he'd initially be most excited about the gun. Miranda frowned at the colored pencils and pointed. "Josh's?" Laura nodded. "Yes sweetie. Those are your brother's." She motioned at her gift Matt held. "Open yours, see what Uncle Wayne got you." Matt handed her the bulky, soft package. She slowly ripped the paper, and her eyes sparkled when she saw the panda backpack. Laura's hand went to her mouth, and covered her smile. "Oh god, that's so cute Wayne!" I grinned at her. Matt took the bag and frowned. He shook it. "I think there's something inside sis." He handed it back to Miranda with a knowing look and she sat on the ground with it. She quickly puzzled out which zipper to use to open it. She squealed and pulled out the colored pencils, pastels, and markers out of the bag. Her face was so animated and excited. The thick, spiral bound art pad was almost too heavy for her to pick up, but she dug into the bag and dragged it out as well. She was like a big cat, dragging a gazelle off to go to work on it, and she took her prizes over to a spot on the floor so she could begin to draw immediately. "Ah ah!" Laura stopped the antics of them both. "Thank your Uncle Wayne before you play." Both Josh and Miranda dropped their gifts and ran to me. I was tightly squeezed by little arms, and Daniel grinned broadly at us. "Thank you Uncle Wayne!" They both intoned to me, and after a few precious seconds they ran back to their booty. Matt chuckled. "Nice job Wayne." I smiled and nodded at him. I stood up. "Okay. Matt, here's one for you. Though ... mostly, it's ... well, you'll see." I handed him his gift and he eyed me with a little suspicion. He opened it, and threw his head back with laugh. "Hey Josh." He held up the Nerf gun, a twin to Josh's and waved it at his son. Josh's eyes widened. "Looks like we're going to be going to war a little later." Josh grinned hugely at his dad. Laura sighed, anticipating Nerf darts all over the house. "Thank you SOOOOO much Wayne!" I smiled sweetly at her. She just shook her head with a smile. "Okay, Laura, you're next." I took her gift, and I handed it to her. Then I sat directly in front of her. I wanted to watch her face when she opened it. She noticed, and something told her she was about to see something that had an impact. She slowly opened it. Matt went to sit beside her, and I heard him breathe in surprise. Laura stared at the picture. Her mouth trembled and she reached to touch the surface. "Wow ... wow Wayne." Matt said. He put his hand over his mouth and his arm around Laura. After a moment she got on her knees with me and we hugged. Matt put his hand on her back and looked at me. He slowly nodded his approval. "Thank you." Laura whispered in my ear. I closed my eyes and smiled. "Welcome sis. Love you." "Love you." She kissed my cheek, sniffed, and sat up, then climbed back on the couch, cradling the picture in its frame as if it were a fragile infant. The kids were utterly engrossed in their gifts and laughed and talked to one another about them. Daniel looked at me as I stood up. I nodded at him. He smiled and went to the tree. "This one is from us both to you guys." He picked up the large, square gift wrapped box. And he put it on the couch between Laura and Matt. Matt rocked the package and looked at us. "Heavy." He frowned. "You guys didn't go too crazy on us did you?" I could tell he was nervous about the cost of whatever was inside. "Just open it." I said. I stood and put my arm around Daniel's broad shoulders and he put his around mine. We watched while they opened the wrapping. They both gaped at the red Breville espresso machine. Laura looked up at us, her eyes wide. "Guys ... no! This is crazy!" She shook her head. "This ... this is too much!" Daniel answered. "It's really not. You're saving us a ton of money by allowing us to stay here, even after the holiday. And I'm spending some of the difference on you guys." He shrugged. "I'm going to write off the expense of getting here, so the money spent will come back to me eventually. With Wayne's help it wasn't too bad." I held my tongue when he said that. I hadn't contributed anything at all to the gift because he wouldn't let me. But this is what he wanted. Laura stood up and hugged us. "Thanks guys." Laura laughed. Matt was still looking at the box, and shook his head, but he was smiling. Laura grimaced. "Well, after this, our gifts are going to be a little underwhelming." I waved aside her concern. "They'll be great. Whatever you got us will be fine." Matt got up and grabbed two packages. One was large, an odd shape and soft. He handed that to Daniel. The other was small, rectangular, and I noticed he held it a certain way - as if it could be dumped if he wasn't careful. He handed it to me, and I made sure to hold it the same way he did. Then he sat back down on the couch to watch us. Laura took her seat beside him and smiled, her expression a little nervous. Daniel opened his, and his face showed a pleasant surprise. "Oh ... wow." He held up a nice black fuzzy pullover jacket. It had dark green trim around the collar and the same color went down the arms in a broad stripe down to the cuffs. In the same green was nicely embroidered lettering on the right side of the chest. Daniel held it up so I could see it. `Ison Bodyworks' was plainly visible. I had no idea they were doing this for him. They must have went on his website and found the name of his business. "Wow. Great idea." I shook my head. Daniel held up a knit cap with the same color scheme and embroidery on it as well. He grinned. "This is perfect." He nodded to both of them. "Thank you guys, a lot." The personal nature of the gifts made it meaningful in a way a dollar amount can't. And I could tell it had made a mark on Daniel. Both Laura and Matt looked relieved that he liked it and they both nodded with smiles. "Okay Wayne, your turn." Matt leaned and kissed Laura, and they watched as I carefully opened the box. Inside I found little paper packets, and I carefully picked one up. "Ohhhh ... oh wow." I looked at all of the packets and sure enough, each was a different variety. "Sundew seeds." I turned one over and read the species name. "Drosera peltata?!!?" I looked in awe at Laura. "Where did you find these?" She blew out a breath. "It wasn't easy! I managed to find a local breeder online. They weren't very expensive, but they were definitely not a simple Amazon search!" I grinned. I was already thinking about how I would have to rearrange my tank to incorporate the new plants when I got them to sprout. Matt jerked his chin at me. "You may wanna check under the box Wayne." I frowned, and I peeled the rest of the wrapping off. I realized the bottom of the package was made up of a very nice, hand tooled leather journal. There was a stylized tiger on the cover - my Chinese astrological sign. And a beautiful, wooden barrel refillable writing pen was in a slot on the spine of the journal as well. I rubbed my fingers over the cover, and could feel the detail of the leatherwork. "Wow." I looked up at the both of them. "Thank you." My voice held an obvious reverence. And they knew how much it meant to me. I walked to them and hugged them both. "Merry Christmas Eve." Matt said, and I could hear him smile. The rest of us repeated it with smiles of our own and laughs. Then the adults made their way into the kitchen for well needed cups of coffee. Right now Matt is out in the living room sipping his coffee, and watching the kids play. Josh is already trying to get him to open his gun so he can start the inevitable Nerf war. Miranda has opened her pastels and is drawing away on her art pad. Laura is puzzling out how to set up their espresso machine, and Daniel is trying to help. I'm sitting at the kitchen table, watching it all. I have never felt so lucky in my life. And I could not imagine I'd have such a great holiday. I don't know how it could get better than this, and in large part that's due to Daniel. I'm going to put the journal away for now, and enjoy my time with my family and the man I love. Till next time. Daniel 24 December 2017, Sunday 925 AM San Diego (Laura and Matt's, North Park) We ate a great breakfast of traditional eggs benedict made by Laura, along with some hash browns and a side of fruit. This is my cheat meal for the week, and I enjoyed every bite of it. We also got the espresso machine going, and after a couple of tries we poured some very good samples of the black stuff. Soon we were sipping homemade lattes, and that just reinforced my belief that it was a good decision to purchase that machine. I'm now standing out in their small backyard. I wanted some time to think, and to go back over my own decisions. And I've already made a choice that will have repercussions far into my future ... if everything goes to plan. Laura stuck her head out the slider leading to their backyard. "Hey. Everything okay?" I smile and nod. "Yeah." I felt my anxiety ramp up a bit and I lick my lips. "Can I talk to you?" She's very perceptive. And she caught the increase in my stress. She stepped out onto the patio with me, and quietly shut the slider. Then she turned and looked expectantly at me. I took in a breath, let it out, and then steel myself. And I lay out everything I have in my mind for her to see. Daniel (cont) 25 December 2017, Sunday 805 AM San Diego (Laura and Matt's, North Park) It's Christmas morning. Wayne is laughing at the doorway to the living room, sipping his Americano, and watching the kids play with their newly opened toys from their parents. The room is a chaotic mess of wrapping paper, toys, kids, and happy noise. I watch from the table, and Laura sits beside me. A stupendous nervousness sits in my gut, and my hands are sweating. My breaths are rapid and shallow and I lick my lips. Laura puts her hand on my back and rubs it reassuringly. "It'll be okay." She smiles and nods. I look at her, inhale, and nod. "Yeah. Yeah." I wipe my hands on my jeans. Matt stands up, and I can hear him talking to the kids. They're coming into the kitchen. Wayne falls in line behind them with a slightly confused look on his face. "Come on." Matt herds them all in. Miranda clings to her art pad, and her pencils, and walks in with a smile. Josh has a remote control hover toy of some kind, and is still playing with the controls, making the propellers spin. I clear my throat, and they all look at me. Laura gives me a final pat on my shoulder, and I stand up. I look around at them. Matt looks me in the eye and nods once, willing strength to me. I smile, and I think about what I want the most. My voice is surprisingly steady. "I just wanted to say, thank you. All of you. For taking me in and welcoming me the way you have." I look around the table, and they're all looking back. Every one of them smiles, and Wayne stares back with such an intense and loving expression. "Honestly, I didn't know how this was going to go." I breathe, willing myself to stay calm and on task. "I mean, I'm meeting my greatest love Wayne, his family - all of you. And I felt like a bit of an imposter. Like, maybe I wasn't quite good enough for him." Wayne shook his head, and I could see him start to tear up. I smiled at him. "But ... you've helped me ... you all helped me see maybe I CAN add something good to his life." I walked over to him. "Wayne, I know we said we weren't going to get gifts for one another," I reached into my pocket, "but I have something small I'd like you to have. If you want it, that is." I take his hand. I drop to my knee. His face morphs to one of shock as he realizes what's happening. I open my hand, and there's a beautiful sterling silver, mokume ring - the coppery color mixed with the silver to create a multi layered, complex play of light and color. "Here. In front of your family, I want to ask ..." He stares down at me, his expression one of disbelief, and he grips my hand like a drowning man onto a life preserver. "... Wayne Hawkins, will you marry me?"
