An interstellar race impudently robbed the women from Earth's men, wiping out the said gender on the face of Earth. Not only did the impregnable foreigners stole the womankind, but also did they devastated the civilizations around the world. They left the remaining Earthlings, which are purely men, in a state of disarray. None of the remaining ones knows what to do without their mother, wife, sister, fiancé, girlfriend, or maid, as it so happen. The extraterrestrials themselves did not expect the men to exist long after the disappearance of the opposite sex. Rather, they expected Earth to be deserted in a short length of time. Because the cities and towns were destroyed by the unknown beings, groups of men lived on the numerable forest. In a year or so, they managed to live like in pre-historic times. Of course there were deaths. There were some who could not live without a woman's aid, especially the younger ones who longed for motherly love. But to the rest of the mankind, instinct have taken over them. They hunted while being hunted. They are back to being wild. Only the fittest will survive. One group of men lived in the Ladville rainforest. There were a total of fifty men who lived there, the oldest being in fifties, and the youngest being nine. There were enough, if not abundance, of goods. They continued to live well unlikely from the aliens' speculations. They do not long for women anymore. They had accepted the fact that they are gone. Wilhelm lives in Ladville forest too. He has no relative there though. His parents have long been gone. And he was an only child. He went to Ladville with his best friend and his father. Everyone treated them like members of the same family, so no one has felt being alone. Unlike all the men there, Wilhelm was not much ached by the disappearance of womankind. It was because his mother had been gone too long -- and he had no girlfriend before. Wilhelm always take care of the younger ones. He makes them delicious foods from fresh crops and meat. He also accompanies them at the falls in the middle of the woods to take a bath. "Don't go too deep, Eddie!" Wilhelm shouted at the youngest of the group. "Ok Will!" the boy shouted. They have been living like this for a year now. They will survive. "Yeah. We can survive. But we cannot create the next generation without women," Wilhelm thought as he sat under the shade of a humongous tree. He is watching the kids, which will be the last generation of men on Earth. "We will go pick berries over there, Will," Eddie said, walking out of the water. "I'll bring you some." "Alright, Ed." When the boys had gone out of water, Wilhelm felt like taking a dip too. He took off his clothes and folded it neatly. He left it under the same shade he was sitting, and he walked gloriously naked into the cool water. The falls is in front of him, splashing water over his face. The water soaked him up to his chest, just above his nipples. Wilhelm felt refreshed. He stood there for some time. He inhaled deeply then dipped his whole body into the water. He can last underwater for at least two minutes. That's all he could take before feeling the water robs all the air in his body. He raised his head panting. He still faces the falls. He heard the twittering birds, rushing water, and someone behind him. "Will," called the voice as cool as the water. "Ty." Wilhelm smiled at his best friend. He was naked too, but the water is soaking just up to the areola of his nipples. He is a couple of inches taller than Wilhelm. "I didn't hear you coming." "Of course, you won't. You were underwater. You are doing that again." "Yeah. I missed swimming." Tyron has a smooth stone with him. He rubbed it against the skin of Wilhelm's back. Wilhelm closed his eyes and smiled. He enjoyed the friction between the stone and his skin. But he flinched when the stone is replaced by Tyron's slightly rough hands stroking his back. Tyron used both of his hands and stroked Wilhelm's shoulders. Wilhelm was confused, but he didn't stop him. Soon, Tyron is stroking his chest brushing against his erect nipples. Wilhelm felt his body heating up. He was about to turn around and confront Tyron when the arms that were previously stroking him pulled him into a tight embrace. "What are you doing, Ty?" Wilhelm asked abashed. "I have something to tell you, " Tyron said without relinquishing his arms around Wilhelm. "It took me a year to realize. . . I-I am happy you are here with me, Will. . . I'm glad they didn't take you! I'm glad it's only the women that they had taken!" "What are you talking about, Ty!" Wilhelm said. "Did you forget that they have taken your mother? And Sarah!" Tyron was silent for a while. Sarah and Tyron had a good relationship. They had been together for two years. Three years, if the year without women would be counted. "But I love you!" Tyron suddenly exclaimed. Wilhelm felt his cheeks redden. His heart is pounding hard inside his chest. Goose bumps formed on his exposed skin. "Stop this prank, Ty!" Wilhelm freed himself from Tyron, pushing the latter away. "It's not funny at all." "But I'm not kidding you!" "Yes, you are." Wilhelm heads out of the water. But Tyron grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him to his chest. Wilhelm looked at him annoyed, only to be met by Tyron's lips. Tyron brought their lips together and kissed Wilhelm's soft lips. The latter was startled and became immobile. "Will!" Eddie's voice reverberated within the forest startling both the birds and the pair on the water. "I've picked a lot of berries!" Wilhelm pulled away from Tyron without looking at him. He immediately got of water. Tyron watched his figure walks away from him. "I love you, Will," Tyron whispered to himself. Just as Wilhelm had dressed, Eddie and his friends arrived, boasting about the amount of berries they have picked. "Let's go back to the huts and see who got the most number of berries," Wilhelm told them. "It's definitely me," Eddie boasted. "No, it's me," the other boys said. They went away towards the north of the forest where the huts are located. Tyron watched them disappeared into the thick trees. He waited for Wilhelm to look back at his direction. But he didn't.
