I only had one problem with the most stories. I thought there was too much sex in the stories. So I tried to write a romance. There's no sex yet, but I do plan to use some of it in the parts to come, but everything is going slow, the way I think it should be. I hope you like my story and find it not too boring. I hope to hear some suggestions and comments to the story so I can anticipate to your requests. You can mail me at: Poohbear17@freemail.nl Disclaimer: This story is purely fictional and does not imply anything about the sexuality of the people mentioned in the story. Well here it is, have fun! Dave and JC Part I The Beginning By JG It was a rather nice day, not too cloudy and therefor not too hot. There was a refreshing breeze and I was sitting in the backyard enjoying a good book. I had the phone with me on my table next to my chair. I wasn't expecting a call, but in my profession you'll never know. I just finished university and was a problem solver for computers. So when a company has a problem, they can call me. I get paid extra for those unexpected visits, and I was alone, so it didn't matter much. The tension in the book was just increasing as I heard my phone ring. "Work" I thought as I reached for the phone. `Dave Silver, Silver Enterprises speaking,' I said. `Hi Dave it's me!' `Alan, is that you?' `Yes, of course, who else could it be, silly.' `Sorry, no one else but you, but I just wasn't expecting you to call, that's all.' `Am I not allowed to call you?' `Sure you do! I'm glad you called.' `Great. I was going to ask if you wanted to get something to drink with me. I'm in town so I thought "let's phone me buddy".' `Sure I'd like to go, where do you want to go? Shall we go to "Chez Nicos"? They've got great chocolate.' `Sure sounds great. Meet you there in, uh, shall we say twenty minutes?' `Sure.' `See you in twenty minutes.' `See you.' `Bye.' `Bye.' I pushed the off button and got up from my chair. I got my stuff inside and changed clothes. I got out of my apartment and locked the door. I went to the car and drove to "Chez Nicos". It took about ten minutes. It was very close. I could've walked there, but I wasn't sure what I was going to do afterwards. I had taken my cellphone with me in case someone needed me. I entered the place and sat at the bar to wait for Alan. I was five minutes early, as I already expected, because I'm always early. A few minutes later I saw Alan enter. I waved to him and he came over to me. We gave each other a hug and said our hellos. We started talking about what had happened in the time we hadn't seen each other. I told him I was very busy and he said he was too. After half an our of talking my cellphone rang. `Excuse me,' I said. I grabbed my phone and turned around. `Dave Silver, Silver Enterprises speaking.' `This is John Sterling from Virgin Studios speaking. I'm sorry to bother you, but we have a major technical difficulty with our computer system.' `That's okay, can you tell me what's not working.' `Well, nothing is working. Our technicians have worked here for hours but they're not able to fix the problem. We were hoping you could take a look at it. I'm sorry it's at such a short notice.' `It sounds like a big problem. I suppose you want it fixed as soon as possible.' `Yes, there were recordings going on here and all people have to wait until everything is fixed.' `Okay. I'll be over in about forty minutes.' `Thank you very much.' `You're welcome.' I pushed the off-button and turned back to Alan. `I'm sorry to say, but I have to go.' `Duty calls?' `Yep, you got it!' `I understand.' `Thanks. Not many people do though.' `It's okay.' `Can we continue our conversation later this week?' `No I'm sorry, but I'm leaving for Mexico tomorrow.' `Mexico?' I said completely amazed. `Yeah. I'll write you a letter and explain it all to you.' `Okay. See you around.' `Bye.' I left and hurried to my car. Good thing I didn't walk. I got in and drove to the studios. As usually I was a little early. I was worried though with all the traffic. It was just past noon, and the streets were crowded. I entered the studio and was waited by the manager, John Sterling. `This way,' he said as he showed me to the mainframe. I sat in a chair behind the monitor and keyboard and looked what was wrong. There were a lot of problems going on there. `I can't solve all the problems here. I have to go to the studios B, C, D and E.' `Okay, can you find you're way?' `Sure I can.' `Okay, good luck!' he said. `Thanks.' I walked out of the room and started to Studio B. I knocked and opened the door. Empty. "Thank God." I thought. I went to the computers and fixed the problems there. It took me about fifteen minutes. When done I went to studio C. I knocked and entered. This one wasn't empty. I saw Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston talking to each other. `Sorry to interrupt, but I'm here to fix the computer problem,' I said. `Go ahead,' Mariah said. I walked over to the computers and had it fixed in ten minutes. `Done.' I said to myself. `That fast?' Whitney said amazed. `Yeah, it's not such a big problem, it's just wide spread. That's all Miss Houston.' `I wouldn't know anything about that,' she smiled. `Excuse me, I have to go to the next studio,' I said as I made my way to the door. `Sure,' both said. I left and went to studio D. The problem there was solved in ten minutes too and I got to the next studio. I knocked again and entered. When I saw there were people inside, I made my opening sentence: `Excuse me, but I'm here to solve--' I trailed off. I was in the same room with N'Sync. I couldn't believe it, and I was too dumbfounded to say or do anything. `You're here to solve what?' Lance asked. `The computer problem.' I said collecting myself. `Ah, it was about time,' JC said. `I'm sorry, I'm doing my best to get this over as quick as possible. But the problem was spread over several studios and I couldn't do it all at once. I'm sorry it takes so long. I'm really working hard. I'm sorry.' `Whoa! Calm down. I didn't mean to upset you. It's not your fault,' JC said. `Sorry I overreacted.' `No I'm sorry. I could've known, you would react like that. I'm sorry.' `It's okay.' I was going to walk to the computer area, but JC was standing in front of me. I looked into his gorgeous blue eyes, and almost lost it. I collected myself again. `Sorry, but can you step a little aside so I can get to the computers?' `I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention.' `No you certainly wasn't,' Chris snickered. JC blushed. I solved the problem here in five minutes. It was getting routine by now. `Done, I'll be on my way. You can start in less than thirty seconds.' The guys cheered. `How long did it take you to solve the problem?' Justin asked. I looked at my watch and saw it was two thirty. `Less than one and a half hour,' I replied. `Gee and the technicians here have been at it for over four hours and they didn't achieve anything. You're very good,' JC said. This time it was my turn to blush. `Ah, it's nothing.' `I don't know all that much about PC's,' JC continued the conversation, `I just play couple of games, that's all.' `Which games?' I asked interested. `Diablo, Heroes of Might and Magic, Starcraft, those are my favourites.' `Hey, those are my favourites too!' `Have you seen Heroes of Might and Magic III?' `No.' `Shame, it's beautiful! If you want you can come over to my place to look at it for a while, we could play together? You other guys are invited too, I have Playstation Nintendo whatever.' `Great,' they all cheered again. `Here,' I said taking pen and paper and writing my address and number down. `If you feel like coming over, just give a call to check if I'm there okay?' I said giving the note to JC. `Sure, thanks.' `You're welcome.' I left the studio and went to the manager to tell the problem was solved and everyone could go back to their jobs. `Thank you ever so much, what do we owe you?' I got my pen and receipts out of my pocket and started to do some calculations. I wrote everything down. `Here you are,' I said giving him the receipt. `Thank you very much again, and here's a tip,' he said giving me the money he owed me and five hundred dollars extra. `Thank you very much. I'll be on my way now.' `Thanks again and bye bye.' `Bye' I left the building and went home. I was pretty tired and sat in my chair in the backyard again. Before I new it I woke up and it was already dark. I grabbed my stuff and went inside. I took a look at the clock and saw it was already past eleven. Time to go to bed, but I wasn't sleepy anymore. I turned on one of my computers and started playing Heroes of Might and Magic III. After I won one mission it was four hours later. I turned the PC off and went to bed. I slept in no time, dreaming of Heroes and N'Sync. I woke up next morning at nine. That was pretty late for my doing, but it didn't matter. I had the whole day off. I was going to do some work at home. I still had that internet problem for a company that I had to solve. It was a good day to do that. I got up and made myself a light breakfast. After eating I took a shower, shaved and got dressed. I decided to wear black Khaki's and a white shirt. I opened the bedroom curtains and looked outside. It was a sunny day and promised to be a warm one. I opened the patio door. I took my laptop and sat in the grass in the garden. I powered it up and started to work on the internet problem. It quite a lot of work. At noon I made myself some sandwiches and after eating them I continued working. After about fifteen minutes my phone rang. I walked inside and answered. `Dave Silver, Silver Enterprises speaking.' `Is this the Dave from the studio yesterday?' `It is, JC,' I said recognising his voice. `Hi Dave, we were wondering if you were home this afternoon, so we can come over to play some computer games?' `I was working, but that can wait till later. Yes I'm here, you can come. You know how to get here?' `Yes, I know how to drive.' `Great.' `Okay, see you in a bit.' `Bye.' I hung up the phone and went to the yard to get my laptop. I went back into the house and waited for the guys to come. After about ten minutes I heard the doorbell. I stood and opened the door. `Hi Dave!' they said enthusiastically. `Hi come on in.' They entered and I led them to the living room. They looked around approvingly. `Nice room,' JC said. `Thanks. Shall I give you a tour of the house?' `Sure,' Joey said. First I showed them the lower floor: the kitchen, dining room, living room and the sun lounge. They were very enthusiastic about the last one. Then I took them to the upper floor. I showed them my bedroom, bathroom, study and finally the games room. `Wow, look at all that stuff!' Justin shouted. `There are two PC's. There's the Playstation and there the Nintendo,' I said pointing to the things. `Can we use the Playstation?' Lance and Justin asked `Sure.' `And we the Nintendo?' Chris and Joey asked. `Sure. Enjoy yourselves.' `What are we going to do?' JC asked. `Well, I was going to show you Heroes of Might and Magic III.' `Oh yeah, I remember.' I started up the PC and logged into my network. I also started the other PC. I started the game and show him the tricks. `You want to play for a bit?' `Please, can I?' `Sure,' I said. I left the PC to him. `I'm going to get something downstairs. I'll be back in a bit, does anyone want anything to drink?' `Yes, please,' they said in unison. `Justin?' `A coke' `Lance?' `Orange Juice, please.' `Chris?' `Also a coke.' `Joey?' `One for me too.' `JC?' Have you got grape juice?' `Sure, grape juice coming up.' I went downstairs and got my laptop and their drinks, and three bowls of chips. I got upstairs and gave them their drinks. I put the bowls of chips with the Nintendo, the Playstation and the two PC's. I connected my laptop to the PC next to the one where JC was playing his game. I got behind the computer and continued working. I wasn't there for long, but I wanted to get to some point. `What game are you playing?' JC asked interested. `No game, just working.' `Working? While we are having all the fun?' `I guess so.' `Oh no you don't' Chris yelled from behind. You're going to play a game also!' `Oh, if you say so,' I said with a smile. I shut down the program I was working with and decided to play Diablo II. `Are you finished with Heroes, JC?' `Yeah, why?' `Just wait.' `I started Diablo II at his PC and then at mine and initiated a multi-player game.' `Ah, great Diablo!' JC shouted. We played the game for over one and a half hour. My stomach was rumbling the time we stopped. `Anyone for a bite?' `Sure, what do you have?' `We can order in. Who wants what.' `Pizza!' Lance, Justin, Chris and Joey shouted. `Coming right up!' I said laughing, `And you JC?' `I'd like some Mexican food if it's not too much a bother.' `No, I was just going to order Mexican for myself.' I ordered the food and within forty five minutes we were eating in the dining room. After dinner, we played some more games. It was already way past dark, when the guys decided to go. `It was great!' Justin said. `If you want, you can stop by some more.' `Cool!' Joey said. After we said goodbye they all went outside. JC walked slower and got out last. `We're going!' Chris hollered to JC. `Okay, go, I still have to say a few things!' he hollered back. He turned to me. `Thanks, I've had a great time. Hope we can do it again soon.' `Yeah me too! It was real fun.' I looked him in the eyes. We looked at each other like that for half minute. `I, uh, I think I should get going.' `Yeah, I think you should.' `Well bye then.' `Bye.' I closed the door and walked to the living room. I popped down in my favourite chair. I really didn't know what was going on. Every time I saw or heard JC I had this strange feeling in my stomach. Just like being love, but I couldn't be in love with guy! That was impossible. I decided to let it go and not think about it any further. I turned on the TV and zapped trough the channels. I saw there was nothing on. I popped a tape of the X-Files in the video and pushed the play button. When the video ended it was about 5 o'clock. I had a strange feeling of loneliness and depression. It was really strange. I wasn't in the mood to do anything. I didn't want to watch TV, I didn't want to go to bed. I just wanted to do nothing. I walked to the stereo and popped in one of the CDs of Enya. Her music always calmed me down. I put the volume very low and sat back in my chair. I listened to the slow and relaxing music and her soothing voice. When the CD was half way done, I fell asleep in my chair. I woke up from the doorbell ringing. I slowly stood up. I had a terrible backache. I slowly walked to the door and opened. It was JC. He had a strange look on his face when he saw me. `What are you doing here so early?' I asked him. `Early?' he said really confused, `It's three o'clock.' `Three?' I said even more amazed. I looked at my watch and saw the time: three o'clock. He was right. `Sorry,' I said, `I really didn't know.' `Doesn't matter, I was going to ask you if you wanted to go hang out with me.' `Well, I'm sorry but I'm really tired, I don't think it's such a good idea, but thanks anyway.' `Sure. Well, sleep well then.' `Thanks, bye.' `Bye.' He walked away and I closed the door. Just when it clicked shut I had this terrible feeling. He was asking me to go with him and I just simply declined. I was about to re-open the door and call him back, but I decided not to. On my way back to the living room I looked into the mirror. I could see now why he looked at me the way he did. I looked terrible. I looked like I hadn't slept in weeks. I walked to the bedroom and as soon as my head hit the pillow I fell asleep again. When I woke again, it was midnight. I stood up and walked to the kitchen. I was hungry. I made myself some sandwiches and took a glass of orange juice. When I was finished, I went back to bed. The next day I was woken by the phone. I picked it up. `Dave Silver, Silver enterprises speaking,' I said formally. `Dave it's JC, you sound a little sleepy.' `Yeah, I just woke up.' `Are you okay?' `Yeah I feel good why?' `Looked at your watch yet?' `No.' I looked at my watch and saw it was already five in the afternoon. I was stunned I had slept for almost two days. `Jeez, I really don't know what got into me, but I have slept for over two days.' `You should go to visit a doctor.' `Thanks, I think I should. Why were you calling anyway?' `Just checking up on you. I was a little worried about you--' `No need, I can take care of myself,' I snapped irritably. `Oh, okay, well bye then.' Click. He had hung up. I felt really stupid. I had angered him, and all he did was worry. I picked the phone back up and called the doctor. I asked him if he could drop by. He said he would be there in fifteen minutes. I sat in my chair waiting for him to arrive. Before I knew it the doorbell rang. I opened the door. It were the doctor and JC. I was a little surprised to see JC. `Come in,' I said, opening the door a little further to let them pass. I walked to the living room. `JC, could you please wait in the kitchen till the doctor is finished with me.' `Sure.' He walked to the kitchen. `What are your problems?' the doctor asked. `Well, I don't really know, but I have slept for over two days. I don't know. I was really tired and I still am.' `Any other symptoms?' `No not that I know of.' `Well I can give you this advice: stay in bed for a couple of days and call someone to take care of you. You need a lot of rest and it's best if stay in bed. You will probably get a headache soon, and muscular pain too. So is there someone to take care of you?' `No, my parents are in San Francisco and I have no friends living here.' `Well, all I can say then is take it easy and rest as much as possible.' `Thanks, I will.' The doctor left and I walked into the kitchen. `I heard what the doctor said.' JC said as soon as I entered. `You just go to bed, and I'll stay here to help you out.' `I can't ask that of you.' `You're not asking, I'm offering and you're going to take my offer.' `I don't have anything to say in the matter?' `No, nothing,' he smiled, `Is there someplace I can sleep?' `Yes, I have a guestroom, the bed is made, everything is ready.' `Okay, I can find the rest and if I can't I'll let you know. Now off to bed with you.' `Sir, yes Sir!' I said jokingly. I went upstairs and undressed and got into bed. I was laying on my back and thinking of what had just happened. I was feeling that strange feeling again and wasn't comfortable with it. Was I gay? Was I having feelings for that guy? A guy! What if I was? Was he feeling the same? Should I tell him? Would he be angry? Why did he insist on looking after me? I didn't know a single answer. Thinking of all the complications I slowly drifted to sleep. I was woken by a terrible throb in my head. I had a pounding headache and felt terrible. I opened my eyes and saw I was alone in the room. `JC?' I tried to yell, but all that came out was a faint whisper. I tried again. This time it was a little louder. I heard someone open the door. JC stepped into the room and walked to the side of my bed. `Are you okay?' `No, I have a pounding headache. Could you please bring me an aspirin? They're in the medicine box in the bathroom.' `Sure,' he said, he walked out of the room. He was back within a few minutes with an aspirin and a glass of water. `Here you go.' `Thanks.' I took the medicine and put the glass on my nightstand. `Thanks, ` I said again. `You're welcome.' I looked at him and felt my eyelids grow heavy. I closed my eyes and drifted asleep slowly. I was woken up by JC the following morning. He had made a light breakfast. I tried to sit up in bed, but got dizzy and almost fainted. I tried again, this time slower and with the help of JC. When I finally sat up straight, he gave me my breakfast. `I feel terrible. I'm unable to do anything myself I hate that. I was always able to take care of myself, look at me now.' `Everyone gets sick now and then, we all need care sometimes,' he said kindly. `Yeah, I know, but it still doesn't feel right.' `Well, don't worry about it.' `Oh, haven't you got anything to do by the way?' `No, uh, nothing.' `But...' `Just eat your breakfast, you'll feel better after you have eaten something.' I just did what he said. He was right. After I had eaten breakfast I already felt a little better. But I still had a terrible headache. He took my plate and walked out the room. I was still very tired and fell asleep again. When I woke up, the headache was still there and I had a pain in my arms and legs and my back. I felt even more terrible than I already did. I just laid there in bed. Waiting to fall asleep, but sleep didn't come anymore. I was just in to much pain to relax and sleep. After awhile the door opened and JC's head popped around. `You're awake?' `Yes, unfortunately.' `Why?' `I want to sleep. But I can't I now have pain in my legs, my arms and my back too. Just as the doctor warned.' `I'll go get you some aspirins.' `Thanks.' He left and came back with two aspirins and a glass of water. I gulped the medicine down with the water and he took my glass from my hand, seeing I couldn't put it on the nightstand myself. `I'll leave you to rest.' `No, please stay till I fall asleep...' I didn't want to feel all alone again. `Sure.' He sat in the chair next to my bed, and just looked at me. After about fifteen minutes the aspirins started to work and the pain relieved a little. `I really appreciate what you're doing for me.' `Shh, don't speak. Try to sleep.' He started to softly hum a melody. I slowly drifted to sleep feeling happy. I woke up from a loud bang outside. I opened my eyes and looked around. JC was sitting in the chair next to my bed. He had fallen asleep. I decided not to wake him. I was still feeling terrible, but I tried to get out of bed. After trying for four times I succeeded and was on my feet. I slowly walked to the door and opened it. I walked downstairs to see what had caused the bang. I looked out of the window in the front of the house and saw some children had thrown the trashcans over. I smiled. Rascals. I walked to the stereo and put on a CD. I sat in my favourite chair and carefully leaned back. The pain in my arms and legs subsided slowly. I just sat there listening to the music, thinking. I really had to talk to someone about my feelings. I could only think of one person: a very good friend. I picked up the phone that stood at the table next to my chair and dialled her number. `Isabelle speaking.' `Hi this is Dave, how are you doing?' `Great thanks! How nice of you to call, I haven't heard from you quite a while. How are you doing?' `Yeah, I know, I've been very busy. I'm not very good, not good at all. I'm very sick and have a throbbing headache. The doctor said I should stay in bed for awhile. But after a few days I wanted to get out.' `I can imagine. I can't imagine you in bed and still for very long,' she laughed. `Yeah, well I'm in some other trouble too.' `What now?' `I don't know, it's just I'm very confused lately.' `You want to talk about it.' `Yeah, I really do. Well it's just. I think I'm in love--' `There's nothing wrong with that.' `I know that, but I think I'm in love with a guy.' `Whoa, that's very confusing indeed. How come.' `Well. I don't know. I met him a week ago or so. And I just have this strange feeling when I think about him -- just like when you're in love...' `I see. So you think you're gay?' `I don't know. That's the point. I really wouldn't know. Now that I think about it I have never really been in love with a girl, but then again I never have been really in love at all.' `Well I can't say. I think you just have to wait and see how things turn out.' `Yeah, I think so.' `But, what are you going to do about that guy?' `What guy?' `The guy you're in love with, silly.' `Oh, that guy, sorry. I don't know. I think I want to tell him.' `You THINK you want to tell him?' `Yeah, I mean, I don't know how he will react. Maybe he'll be mad at me. Maybe he'll think I'm, well, I don't know. I don't want to ruin our friendship too. It isn't all that much yet. But I don't want to betray the other guys too.' `Other guys? Which other guys.' `His friends. I've met them too, there are four of them. I met them in the studio a week ago. We could really get along together.' `In the studio? Who are these guys?' `N'Sync.' `Whoa, N'Sync? You know N'Sync?' `Yeah, I know them.' `You're in love with one of them?' `Yeah.' `Who?' `I don't know if it's good to tell you.' `Ah please, tell me. I promise I won't tell anyone.' `You'd better not! Okay, it's JC.' `Wow, cool.' `I don't think it's cool at all.' `Sorry, I got carried away.' `It's alright. Well thanks for hearing me out.' `You're welcome. Yes, I won't tell anyone,' she said before I could warn her again. I laughed. `Okay, thanks and goodbye.' `Buhbye.' I hung up the phone and thought about our talk. I knew she wouldn't say anything to anyone. I got up from my chair and walked over to the stereo to put it off. As soon as I stood up the pain in my legs returned and I decided it was best to go back to bed. After I had put off the stereo I slowly walked up the stairs and went to my bedroom. I opened the door. JC was just getting out of his chair looking a bit bewildered. `Where the hell have you been, you scared the hell out of me when I saw you weren't in bed.' `I was just downstairs to make a phone call and listen to some music. But I was just on my way back to bed.' `Good, you shouldn't have left it in the first place.' `Well, thanks for your care, but I can perfectly take care of myself. I don't need your nursing,' I snapped. He just walked out and slammed the door. I felt guilty as soon as the door shut. I wanted to go after him, but decided it was best not to. He had to calm down before I talked to him again. I went to bed and fell asleep soon. When I woke up I looked at my watch. It was noon the next day. I wondered why JC hadn't woken me up. I called for him. No answer. I called another time. Still no answer. I stood up and walked out of the room. I felt better than the last day. I still had a little pain, but most of it was gone. I walked downstairs, and searched the rooms. I walked back up the stairs and knocked on the guest room. No answer. I opened the door and looked in. Everything was neat. The bed was made, the windows closed. All his stuff gone. He had left. I felt the guilt come up again only a thousand times stronger than the day before. I started to cry as I walked down the stairs. I sat down in my chair crying. After five minutes the phone rang. I calmed myself and picked up. `Dave Silver, Silver Enterprises speaking.' `Hey Dave, Lance here. Can you tell me what's going on?' `Yeah, I--I'm ... Sorry,' I stuttered, `I wasn't real nice to JC yesterday. I'm sorry. I wanted to apologise today, but when I woke up he was gone.' `I don't know what you said, but it must have been real bad. JC was really upset. He has been crying for hours.' `Crying?' I said. The thought of JC crying, choked me up. I couldn't say anything I felt tears burn in my eyes. The phone slid down my face and I let it drop to the floor. I cried uncontrollably for fifteen minutes. The doorbell rang. I didn't want to open. It rang again. And again. I walked to the door. `Go away.' I shouted. `Open up, it's me, Lance.' I slowly opened the door. `You've been crying,' Lance stated. He opened the door further and let himself in. He lead me to the living room and put me in my chair. He sat opposite of me. `Now, could you please tell me what's going on?' `I don't know. I'm really confused. I can't tell you.' `Sure you can tell me.' `No, I can't I can't tell anyone.' `You can tell me,' he said again,' If you want me to keep it to myself, I will.' `No, I can't. Will you keep it to your self? Promise me you won't tell a living soul.' `I promise.' `Okay. Well, I, uh, I think I'm in love with JC.' `You are what?' `Don't get mad, please...' `I won't, I was just amazed. Are you sure?' `Yes, I am now.' `But why was JC so upset yesterday?' `I said I didn't need his nursing. He meant well, and told me I should've stayed in bed and I didn't and he said I should and I got angry...' I blurted out. `Whoa, slow down. Say it again, this time a little slower.' `Okay. Yesterday I went out of bed to listen to some music. When I got back upstairs to go to bed. JC said I should've stayed in bed. I was confused and angry with myself and told him I didn't need his nursing. He walked away angry and I didn't see him anymore.' `That explains something.' `Well. I think you should apologise to him and I also think you should talk to him about your feelings, perhaps he can better understand why you act the way you do,' Lance said. `I don't know if I can.' `You have to be strong.' `I'll try.' `Okay. I'll send him over here, okay?' He said as he stood up and walked to the door. `Lance?' `Yeah?' `Thanks.' `You're welcome.' He walked out and left. I just sat there in my chair, deciding what to tell JC when he got here. I really didn't know. I wasn't even sure if I was going to tell him I was in love with him. In no time the doorbell rang. I walked to the door and opened it. It was JC. `Come in,' I said. He entered without saying anything. When we got to the living room he said something. `So, what is it you wanted to tell me, Lance said I should go here and that's the only reason I'm here, so Lance would stop whining,' he said angrily. `I want to apologise, I shouldn't have been so rude to you. I know you only meant what was best for me. I was just confused.' `Confused about what,' he snapped. `I can't tell.' `You can't tell,' he yelled, 'I come here so you can apologise and you can't tell why you were so rude?' `No I'm sorry, I can't tell.' `Well, I'll be off then.' He turned around and started to walk away. `Wait,' I said. He turned back and looked at me. `JC, I--I wanted to tell you ... I--I'm in love with you.' I looked at his face and saw astonishment. I turned around, looked out of the window. I thought he would get mad at me. I heard to door to the hall fall into its lock. "I knew it. He left," I thought. I was at the brink of tears. "Now I've blown everything." I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned around. It was JC, he hadn't left. `I'm sorry,' he said,' I didn't know.' He came closer and kissed me on the lips. He backed away. He looked at me and started laughing. `You look like everything is going a little to fast,' he smiled. `It's just that I didn't expect this. I thought you would get mad and leave.' `Of course I won't' He kissed me again, this time longer. It felt like nothing I had ever felt before. He gently broke the kiss. `How are you feeling?' `I still have a headache, but the pain in my arms and legs is almost gone.' `You--' `Yes, I am going to bed,' I interrupted him smiling. He smiled back. I was just going upstairs as the phone rang. I walked over to the table and picked the phone up. `Dave Silver, Silver Enterprises speaking.' `Hi, it's me, Lance. How did everything go?' `How did what go?' `Well your talk with JC, did you two make up?' `Yeah we did.' `Great. Anything else happened? Did you tell him?' `Wait a minute. You knew about it all the time didn't you?' `Oops, you got me there,' he laughed. `Why didn't you just tell me?' `Well, I promised JC not to tell anyone, just as I promised you, and I thought you ought to clear it up yourselves. I think I can conclude that everything went alright?' `Yeah, indeed, perfectly alright. I got to go. I was just on my way up to bed.' `Make sure you don't get JC tired he has a lot to do the upcoming week,' he said jokingly `I was just going to sleep, smart ass,' I said laughing, `Now buhbye.' `Bye.' `Who was it?' JC wanted to know `It was our pal Lance, who knew everything.' `You mean he knew you were in love with me?' `Yes. I told him.' `Why didn't he tell me?' `Because I made him swear he didn't tell it to a living soul.' `Doesn't matter now. We know now,' he said giving me a quick kiss, 'Off to bed.' I walked up the stairs and climbed into bed. JC just sat on the edge looking at me. `Sleep well love,' he whispered. `Thanks,' I could say just before I fell asleep.
