Chapter 219

The limousines pulled into the circular drive of Belmont Industries' headquarters, everyone's eyes on the crowd filling its entrance.

"Joe was right. The place is inundated." Alain said, his and Harry's keen eyesight scoping out the view ahead.

"We go straight in. Joe has security lined up on both sides, everyone's hemmed in behind barricades." Alain said, talking with Harry, Lucas nodding.

"We'll surround you both." Harry said, Alain smiling at him.

"Lucas is the main one who needs protecting. I can handle myself." Alain said, Harry kissing his lips.

"I'll be beside you and Luke, beautiful." he said, Lucas smiling at his cousin.

"My harem is growing. Hotties all around." Lucas said, Harry and Alain blushing, Lucas laughing.

"Relax, guys. Magic surrounds us, our love protects us." he said, everyone smiling, Josh's hand going into his again.

"At your side, babe." he smiled, kissing Lucas' lips.

"Wouldn't want you anywhere else, beautiful."

Josh smiled, Justin and Lance smiling as well.

The limousines pulled up in front of the building, immediately surrounded by media, the crowd moving around them.

Lucas saw rows of security moving as well, guards now forming a pathway to the front doors, both sides filled with uniformed men.

"Straight through, no stopping." Harry said, taking charge of everyone, his hand in Alain's.

Alain opened the limousine door, stepping out first.

The noise was thunderous when he opened the door, then suddenly dying, the only sound clicking cameras.

Alain looked around, everyone staring at him.

The black man stood tall, stepping out of the limousine, Harry right behind him.

Everyone stared at the two young men, cameras taking pictures of the men.

"It's the. . .the angel." someone close said, the crowd murmuring, Lucas and Josh stepping out next, followed by Justin and Lance.

Upon seeing Lucas, the crowd began to surge, the noise growing, questions thrown at him, Alain and Harry moving forward.

The group moved forward, the limousine pulling away, the second one now in its spot, Lucas' family climbing out of it.

"Lucas! Lucas! What are you saying tonight?!" a reporter screamed, Lucas moving forward, Josh's arm now around him.

"What's next, Lucas?! Are you an angel as well?!" another screamed, Lucas remaining silent.

"Show the world your wings again, Alain! Or are you just a hoax?" another said, Alain looking towards the reporter.

Harry's hand went in his, the reporters picking up on the motion.

"Who's that with you, Alain?" another asked, Harry's cheeks blushing, Alain's arm going around him, the two men walking forward, the others following behind them.

Security held the lines of people, no one passing through them.

"Is this some big hoax, Carver?" another yelled, Lucas' violet eyes looking towards him, the young man stopping.

Everyone was staring at him, Lucas' eyes suddenly changing, glowing their magical emerald green.

Everyone's eyes widened, cameras zooming in closer.

"Life is as real as I am, my friends. And the only hoax here is your unpreparedness.  I suggest you grab some umbrellas." he said, the sky suddenly opening, a deluge falling from clouds which had suddenly formed in the late day's sunshine-filled skies.

Everyone around Lucas stared at him with surprise, the young man moving again, everyone hurriedly walking towards the entrance, the media surrounding them staring at the young man with quiet disbelief.

Lucas followed Alain and Harry through the front opening doors, his family following.

The reporters behind them were diving for cover, the rain now falling heavily.

"That was amazing, Luke!" Lance said, wiping the rain off Justin's leather jacket, everyone staring at the young man.

Joe smiled at the young man, walking up to them, Emerson now at his side.

"That rain came out of nowhere. That'll dampen their spirits." he smiled, Lucas smiling at the older security officer.

"Their appetites needed whetting." Lucas smiled, Emerson staring at his grandson.

"Was that you, Lucas?" he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"I saw the clouds forming, and a soft flash of lightning above us. I knew it would rain almost immediately. Let them think something else." he smiled, Joe looking at him with soft wonder.

"I'm myself, Joseph. Amazing and loving." Lucas smiled, the man nodding.

"As you showed on television, Mr. Carver-Belmont." he said, Lucas' hand going into Josh's.

"It's just Lucas, Joseph." he said the man nodding his head in awed respect.

"Everyone set upstairs, Joe?" Justin said, the man looking at him.

"Yes, Mr. Timberlake. The CNN crew has arrived and are mostly set up and ready. Mr. Tapper's been looking for you. If you'll all follow me." the man said, Emerson quietly talking to him, everyone following the men towards the elevators.

"Everyone's on the penthouse floor again. The place has been swept, combed and secured. Only their crew was allowed up. They're waiting for you up there." Joe said, everyone walking into an opening elevator, Joe hitting the top floor button.

Lucas was surrounded by everyone, his eyes taking in all their love.

Tristan, Savannah, Francesca and Emerson surrounded him and Josh, Colton and his five soulmates at their sides.

Harry and Alain stood at the front beside Joe, the elevator closing and beginning its rise upwards.

"The company's abuzz with all the news surrounding your family, Emerson." Joe said, Emerson smiling at his old employee.

"My grandson's love and magic surprise us all, Joe." he said, Lucas smiling at his grandfather.

Joe turned back, looking at Lucas.

"I sensed something magical about you the last time you were here, Mr. Carver. . .I mean, Lucas." he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"Your cunning and intellect are the glue that holds my grandfather's company building together, Joseph." he said, the man smiling at him, then at Emerson.

"He has the Belmont smoothness." he smiled, Emerson laughing, Tristan laughing as well.

Lucas smiled at both men, the three men talking about the company's business as the elevator rose.

Lucas felt Josh's hand squeeze his, as well as feeling Lance's and Justin's hands on his back and side.

"I feel all your love, my loves. I'm ready for all going forward." he said, Josh kissing his cheek, everyone around them smiling.

Lucas' eyes met Colton's, the young man staring at him.

"I feel something, Dad." he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"Life moves forward and from all places, my son. Let's let the love come." he said, everyone looking at the young man, Lucas smiling and looking around.

"On to the next surprise." he smiled, snuggling against his husband, Josh trading looks with Justin and Lance.

Colton smiled, his eyes looking around.

The elevator doors opened, a group of young men and women rising from seats by the desk that stood opposite from the elevator.

"Hello, Mr. Taggart." Joe said, a young man walking up to Joe, looking at the group behind him, his eyes locking on Alain's brown pools, then Lucas' violet.

He stepped back a bit, clearing his throat.

"Good evening, everyone. If you'll follow me, I'll guide you to make-up and your relaxing place, Mr. Carver-Belmont. And your friends." he said, staring at Lucas again.

"Thank you, Jules." Lucas said, the young man looking surprised, the others around him silent and looking awed.

"How did you. . .?" he softly said, Lucas smiling at him.

"Your name badge, my friend." he smiled, the young stage manager blushing.

"Sorry, I forgot." he said, everyone looking at the young man's chest, his name badge hidden by his jacket, only slightly visible.

"Please follow me, Mr. Carver-Belmont." he said, Lucas smiling and following him, everyone at his sides.

They walked down the same hallway they'd walked before, leading to the conference room where all the drama had happened the day before.

The room's doors were wide open, Lucas seeing people milling about in the room.

He followed Jules, the young man guiding him to the right, the other interns guiding his family to the left where chairs were set up again, as before.

Lucas smiled at his family, Justin, Lance and Josh following him.

His family walked to the chairs, Colton's eyes following Lucas.

Alain and Harry were behind Lucas, the six men guided towards where the conference table had been before.

Now it was an organized set, two chairs showing across from each other, a large television monitor between them on the wall.

Lucas' eyes met two blue pools, Jake Tapper smiling at him, the anchorman talking to two technical supervisors.

"Mr. Carver-Belmont. We meet again, in a more traditional way." he said, looking at Lucas with quiet respect and hidden awe.

"I usually like to travel the old-fashioned way." Lucas smiled, the two men shaking hands, Jake looking at the men surrounding Lucas.

"Mr. Timberlake, a pleasure always." he said, shaking Justin's hand, then Josh's, then Lance's, the men exchanging greetings.

His eyes met Alain's, the black man extending his hand.

"Hello, I'm Alain Deveraux. A friend of Lucas'." he said, Jake staring at him.

"You seem to be more than that, Mr. Deveraux." he said, Alain nodding his head.

"This is my husband, Harold Carlisle." Alain said, Harry extending his hand, Jake looking surprised.

"You're. . .you're gay?" he said, then blushing.

"Not that I mean any disrespect by that. It's just surprising to see a real angel, and now to find out he's gay." he said, Lucas smiling at the man.

"Harry's my cousin, Mr. Tapper. His and Alain's love is true love." Lucas said, Jake nodding, his eyes meeting Lucas' violet pools.

"It's just Jake, Mr. Carver-Belmont. I will be interviewing you."
"And I'm Lucas, Jake." Lucas smiled, Jake softly smiling back.

"I hope we can have an open interview, Lucas?" he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"You can ask me anything, Jake." Lucas said, the man nodding.

"I may hold you to that, Lucas. I just want you to relax, and be yourself. Your amazing self."
Lucas smiled, nodding.

"That I can do, plus more." he said, Jake staring at him.

"We'll be ready to go live in about ten minutes. Why don't you relax with your family? We'll let you know when we're ready to start the interview. It will be live at eight." Jake said, Lucas smiling.

He moved, Josh at his side, the others following him, all walking towards his family.

Jake stared after them, the set manager drawing his attention.

An intern was walking around, giving everyone drinks from a tray, Lucas sitting down in a chair, Josh sitting down beside him.

Lucas passed on a drink, the female intern staring at him, Josh's hand going into his again.

"Was that wise, my love? Saying he could ask you anything?" he said, Lucas smiling at him, kissing his man's lips, the intern blushing and continuing to walk around.

"I'll give him only truthful answers, my love. It's time the world saw the real me." he smiled, his soulmates smiling at him.

"We know the real you, Luke. We love you." Justin said, Lucas winking at him.

Lucas' eyes scanned the glass windows that filled the whole one wall.

The glass had been replaced, all signs of the drama yesterday gone.

"Falling angels, rising souls." he softly said, Josh looking at him.

"What did you say, my love?" he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"I love you, Josh. Always."

Josh smiled, Justin talking to him, Lucas' eyes going to the windows again.

He sensed two other blue eyes on him, the young man smiling.

Lucas remained still, the makeup artist applying the last of her touchups.

"There, good to go, Mr. Carver-Belmont." she said, looking at Lucas with quiet awe.

"Thanks, Linda." he said, the woman blushing softly, stepping back off the set.

Jake sat across from Lucas, the young man smiling at him.

"We're ready in two minutes, Lucas. Anderson will be leading us in with a short intro first. You should know, all networks are carrying this, globally. This is big news."

"I'm ready, Jake." Lucas said, Jake nodding.

"I just wanted to say something before this starts. Yesterday's and today's moments have shocked the world. Hell, you shocked the hell out of me this morning, appearing out of thin air. That deacon left with an ashen face. You totally shocked him, and all of us."  Jake said, Lucas nodding.

"I felt the doubts flowing, Jake. And I'd been watching your intro to the pope's statement at home before His Holiness appeared." Lucas smiled, Jake nodding.

"It's not every day that we see magic, Lucas. I hope I can talk to you about that?"

"Like I said, you can ask me anything. I will speak about all that, and more." Lucas said, his violet pools meeting Josh's, Lucas' family watching him from their seats not far away.

They had an unobstructed view of the set, Lucas smiling with love at all of them.

"We're live in thirty seconds, Jake." Jules said, standing off the set.

Lucas folded his hands in front of him, sitting calmly, awaiting the interview.

Jules cued Jake, the camera zoning in on his handsome face.

"Thanks Anderson.  Good evening, everyone. I'm speaking to you from the top floor of the Belmont Industries building here in central Manhattan tonight. This was the scene of the falling angel yesterday. My guest you've all seen on other shows, venues and places. But nowhere more surprising did we see him than this morning at The Vatican. We'll be talking for the next hour or so with Lucas Carver-Belmont. Good evening, Lucas." Jake said, the camera zooming in on Lucas' handsome face.

"Good evening, Jake. Thank you for agreeing to this." he smiled, Jake smiling at him.

"As everyone's been made aware, you yourself asked for this interview, Lucas. It kind of surprised all of us in the news industry. After what you revealed today, we'd thought you'd let the world stew on the greatness and unbelievable reality you showed it this morning. It's still surprising all of us, as you've seen in our own staff here today. You are an unbelievable man of surprises." Jake said, Lucas smiling into the camera.

"I didn't mean to shock everyone. I just wanted the world to see what surrounds it." he said, Jake nodding his head.

"Magic and mysticism." he said, Lucas nodding.

"And faith, love and hope. It's all a part of us, or should be." Lucas said, Jake staring at him.

"Before we began tonight you said that I could ask you anything, Lucas."

"Yes, you can, Jake. I'm an open book, in most ways." Lucas smiled, the man nodding his head.

"Let's start with your history, Lucas. Could you tell us about your past?" Jake said, looking at a tablet near him.

"How far back would you like me to go, Jake? Myself or my family's?"

"As much as you'd like to talk of, Lucas." he said, Lucas nodding.

"My life--or my destiny's life--began almost a thousand years ago in ancient Egypt." Lucas said, Jake looking surprised.

"In Egypt?" he said, Lucas nodding.

"Yes, Jake. My family has walked a path of destiny. A trapped destiny as I'll divulge."

Lucas began to speak, talking of his family's past, from Alsarius up to himself.

Then he discussed his own life, the reporter and the crew surrounding him listening to his words in fascination.

Lucas left out the reality of his lineage's long-lived individuals, everyone assuming he was skipping over less noteworthy men.

"So, your family has been trapped by evil and magic through all generations?" Jake said, Lucas staring at him calmly.

"And they've been surrounded by love, courage and hope, Jake. My father and grandfather are both courageous, loving men. I hold both deeply in my heart." Lucas said, his father and grandfather tearing up across from him.

Jake nodded, knowing the two men were behind him.

"You yourself have a lot of courage as well, Lucas. Going through that hurtful relationship with Jacob Addison, then the trial for his murder."

"I wasn't at fault for either, Jake. Jacob was lost within himself, and I was proven innocent of his death. His soul now is at peace. As others shall be." Lucas said, Jake nodding.

"He led a less than stellar life, Lucas. He may have found justice, not peace."

"God gives us peace within our own souls. We just have to open them to his love." Lucas said, Jake nodding.

"You showed unbelievable magic this morning, Lucas. You've shocked the world with your appearing, then disappearing self. When did you first sense that you had this magic you now seem to possess?" Jake asked.

Lucas sighed, leaning back in his chair, remaining calm.

"I have known since my first moments of life that I had this magic, Jake. I was born with it." Lucas said, Jake looking surprised.

"Since. . .since your birth?" he said, Lucas nodding.

"Yes, Jake. I didn't at first sense its truth, only that there was something within me guiding myself."

"Your parents and grandparents are here this evening with you, Lucas. Are they magical as well?"

Lucas smiled towards his family, all showing him their love.

"My family is deep within the mysticism, magic and love of life. I come from amazing stock." he said, Jake staring at him.

"That doesn't really answer the question, Lucas." he said, Lucas staring at him.

"Yes, Jake. There is magic within my family. Not as strong as my own, but mine is a more destined, concise magic. It was always supposed to grow. I myself have aided that growth."

"Meaning what, Lucas?"
"Meaning that the magic within me has grown through generations. Awaiting myself. I was always destined to have it."

Jake looked surprised, staring at him.

"That's amazing, Lucas. What exactly can you do? Besides the visions we've seen."

Lucas sensed the man wasn't going to hold any of his needs back.

"I can teleport, as you've seen. I can also move things, feel people's feelings, sense danger around me, as well as love."

Jake nodded, focusing on him.

"You sense feelings in people? You mean you read their thoughts?"

"No, Jake. I would never intrude on anyone's own self. The magic within me senses everything, and lets me know what I need to know."

"You speak of this magic as an entity, Lucas. As if you have another being within you. You must understand how shocking and wondrous this is to the  world. That magic really exists." Jake said, showing his awed fascination with Lucas' words.

"In a way perhaps it is, Jake. A magical being of necessity lives within me." Lucas said, smiling at the man.

"You don't seem worried by what you possess, Lucas." Jake said, Lucas nodding.

"I'm not, Jake. For this magic has a loving soul. It's good in its core. That's why it can sense evil so easily."

"Yesterday evil showed itself, Lucas. In the two men who plummeted to their deaths. What happened here yesterday?"

Lucas leaned back, talking again.

He spoke of everything that had happened yesterday, of Sheridan Whitecastle's last attempt at destroying him.

"So, the man was possessed by supposed evil? And your magic stopped him?" he said, Lucas staring at him.

"I alerted Alain to the forthcoming tragedy regarding Gabriel Navarro's attack by the evil. Alain's quick reflexes saved the judge from his death-ending fall."

"It was more than quick reflexes, Lucas. Alain flew through the windows, diving down and saving Judge Navarro from certain death."

"Gabriel is part of my family now. I'll do all I can to protect all of them."

"You knew Alain was an angel?" Jake said, Alain quietly watching the interview, seated beside Harry.

"Yes, Jake. Since the moment that I first met him last year on an island."

"The island where all of you married?" Jake said, Lucas smiling and nodding.

"I'd gone there for a vacation and Alain was the pilot of the aircraft that few us in."

"So, he was aware of who you were?"

"Only regarding my family, through his partner, who was my hidden cousin at that time. We're now family." Lucas smiled, Harry and Alain smiling at him from the seating area.

"That island seems to flow with love, Lucas." Jake said, Lucas smiling.

"I am love, Jake. I love to see couples show their hearts. The island is the nexus of my gathering love. Many felt it that week over New Year's." Lucas said, his family smiling at him.

"Yes, so we've learned from some famous celebrities. You've united a lot of people." Jake said, Lucas nodding.

"My love is ever giving." he said, Jake smiling at him.

"Can you help me?" he smiled, Lucas lightly laughing, Josh smiling at his man, seeing his calmness.

"Leave that to life's moments. And your own heart. A jewel of an answer will start both." Lucas smiled, Jake looking confused.

He focused again.

"Turning back to yesterday, what happened in those last few moments? Did you use your magic to send Sheridan Whitecastle to his death?"

"No, Jake. I used my magic to pull the evil out of his soul, then destroy it. His own fatal gamble caused his own death. And the other man who plummeted to his death with him saw the error of his ways at the last. He sacrificed his life to save everyone else."

"That man's been identified as Carl Wilson. He once worked for your family company." Jake said, Lucas nodding.

"Yes, he did. But he chose a path of greed and power, walking onto evil's path. In the end, he saw a greater path to freedom. Self-sacrifice and honor. I believe he's found the peace he needed. I forgive both." Lucas said, Jake staring at him with surprise.

"You can forgive them for what they were doing to your family?"

"Sheridan was lost within the evil. The evil owned him throughout his short life. Carl was forced onto evil's path. We all make our life's choices. In the end, we have to face God to redeem our souls." Lucas said, lowering his eyes.

"You have a giving soul, Lucas. To forgive those that seek to destroy you is to walk with an open soul."
"I am myself, Jake. I've always been loving, giving and hopeful. I'll always seek out the goodness in everyone."

Jake nodded, looking around the room.

"Let's talk about the supposed angel, now." Jake said, Lucas nodding.

"I think he should speak for himself." Lucas said, his violet pools meeting Alain's brown.

Alain rose from his seat, releasing Harry's hand, his soulmate following his every move.

Harry rose, stopping just off the set, standing out of camera range.

Alain walked up onto the set, Jake rising from his seat, a stagehand setting another chair down beside Lucas.

"Good evening, Mr. Deveraux. This is a surprise. I wasn't told you'd be speaking." Jake said, looking at Lucas.

The young man smiled, Alain sitting down beside him.

The cameras zoomed in on Alain's handsome muscular self, the black man smiling calmly.

"Lucas asked me to be ready to defend myself. His love protects me. As mine answers his." Alain said, his voice calm and rugged.

Jake sat down again, staring at the black man with quiet awe.

"You answered his in a surprising way yesterday, Mr. Deveraux." Jake said, Alain smiling back.

"It's Alain. I am Lucas' friend Alain." he smiled, Lucas leaning over and kissing his cheek.

"You're more, Alain. You're family. Alain's married now to my cousin." Lucas smiled, Harry smiling at both men from behind Jake.

"You. . .you're married to a human?" Jake said, Alain sighing.

"I am human as well, Mr. Tapper. My soul is human. Angels have always been human in soul and life. That has been God's plan for all of us. His love graced us with life, that life always lives. We just walk with a greater part of God's giving love within us." Alain said, Lucas smiling at him.

"But you fly also. You've been shown to have wings. That can't make you human." Jake said, Alain staring at him.

"We are all God's creatures. I feel his love as we all do." he said, Lucas smiling at Jake.

"You just proved the existence of angels, Alain. As Lucas has proven magic exists. What is the greater purpose of all this? And could we see your wings again?"

Alain looked at Lucas, the young man smiling at him.

"My wings are a part of me. Appearing at a moment's notice when needed. I do not have to show them to seek fame. I live to love and follow God's plan.

Lucas knows the true purpose of all that's to come, I believe. I follow his love. He has a greater magic that I have ever seen." Alain said, smiling at Lucas, the young man showing his love back.

"Are there more of your kind on earth?" Jake asked, asking a question many wanted to know.

"God sends his warriors of goodness where they are needed. Many walk their own paths created by him. I follow my path."

"You're black, Alain. Is there any significance in that?" Jake said, Alain smiling at him.

"God paints life with all His colors of beauty. We all shine with His shine of love." Alain said, Lucas smiling at his answer.

"Well said, Alain." Lucas said, Alain smiling at him.

"Some people--as Lucas said yesterday--are saying this is all a hoax in some way. Is there any real proof you can give us?" Jake said, Alain suddenly rising to his feet.

"My name is Jibrail. I am one of the nine sentinels of God's holy seraphim. I am man, I am magic, I am his faith." Alain said, two large black wings expanding from behind him, a soft golden glow surrounding the black man for a few moments, the studio silent and stunned.
Jake sat in his chair, taking in the majestic beauty of Alain's angelic self.

"Would you like to touch them to feel their truth?" Alain said, his form now slightly larger, his muscular frame bulkier.

His face wore a calm look of glowing love, Jake's eyes staring into his softly glowing golden irises.

"No. . .no. . .no, we can see your true self. You are real." Jake said, his face showing worried awe.

"Angels are real, Jake. Their love is the realness of their souls." Harry said, the young man now at Alain's side, Alain's being changing, his wings disappearing, his hand going into Harry's.

"My love is real. Harry captured it eons ago." Alain said, another chair appearing beside his, the two young men sitting down.

Jake stared at both, his eyes going to Lucas', the young man smiling at him.

"Their love is eternal within their human souls." he said, Jake looking back at both young men.

"You're gay, Alain? You're married to this man?" he said, Alain smiling.

"God's love is all love. It's time the world realizes that. Love is an emotion of all souls. There is no set reality for it. It breathes within all souls, within all free souls. God welcomes all of love. My Harry's love is united with mine." Lucas said, Jake staring at Harry.

"Your love has been for eons? How old are you, sir?" he said, Harry's eyes meeting Lucas'.

"This is my cousin Harold Carlisle. He is my personal bodyguard, as Alain is my personal assistant. Both are brothers of my heart."
Harry smiled, looking at Jake.

"I am twenty-three, Mr. Tapper. But my soul is a lot older."

"Meaning what?" Jake said, looking confused again.

"Meaning that Jibrail has been my soulmate through seven lifetimes. I was born originally in the eighteenth century."

Jake looked stunned, Lucas staring at him.

"I told the world this morning that the battle coming would be fought by angels and other beings of God's worth. My cousin is such a being. A rebirthed soul of a heroic young man. That young man fell in love with an angel, giving his love to him forever. Before you sits that showing love."

"I love him then, I love him now. We are each other's forever." Alain said, Harry smiling at him.

"Forever, my Jibrail." Harry smiled, the two young men kissing.

"Lucas, this is unbelievable! Angels, reincarnated souls of ancient men?! You're stunning the world!" Jake said, Lucas sighing.

"The world needs to accept what lives and breathes within it, Jake. Beings of hidden magic, of angelic design and of Godly destiny. Evil for too long has run rampant across the globe. The final retribution of God's intent will come to pass. I just wanted the world to be prepared for it. Reality overcomes shock. The gradualism of it is of my own doing. I can't let all of you go blindly into it. It's time we were all prepared for what's to come."

"This is like something out of a movie, Lucas! Mystical beings, monsters and magic!" Jake said, Lucas rising from his seat, Alain and Harry looking up at him.

Jake rose from his seat, staring at Lucas.

"Imagination is the folklore of reality, Jake. There is one more being that needs to walk into the light. I have tried long to stop his path, to change it to a more loving resolution. But God's path is His own. I can no more change it than I can change my own. My love shows his love."

"I feel your love, Lucas."
Jake's head turned, staring into two blue pools.

"Hello, Mr. Tapper. My name is Colton Carlisle. I am the Curacuar."

Jake stepped back, the back of his legs hitting the chair, the man falling back into it.

The cameras continued to roll, everyone around them staring in silent wonder.

"You. . .you are this mysterious warrior? You're only a boy!" Jake said, Colton moving from his spot, walking up beside Lucas, the cameras following him.

"I am the warrior of destiny. Lucas' love and guidance have made me see the truth in that." Colton said, Lucas' arm going around him.

Alain and Harry rose, now at their side.

"This is another cousin of mine, Jake. A young man of courage, love and yes, magic. An equal to my own soul in many ways. The chosen Curacuar of the prophesized destiny of all of us. He walks on God's path. He will lead an angelic army of God's love to stand against evil."

"But he's. . .he's only a child, Lucas!" Jake said, Colton smiling at him.

"I have Lucas' love in my soul, and my own. And the love of those that love me." he smiled, his soulmates smiling at him, all on their feet.

Jake looked towards them, rising to his feet again.

"This is so unbelievable!" he said, Lucas' hand going to Jake's shoulder.

"Yes, Jake. I'll tell you all about the history of this young man's path. And my own regarding his love." Lucas said, Jake slowly sitting down, Lucas returning to his seat, a chair provided for Colton, the young man sitting down beside Lucas.

Harry and Alain sat down again, Lucas beginning to speak.

He told the world of Colton's life, of his being a part of Lucas' heritage.

Of their close bond of love, a coexisting father and son of love.

Lucas told the story of the angel Azrael and his showing Colton his destiny.

Jake sat in silence, taking it all in, as did everyone surrounding them.

"So, this young man has been chosen to lead an army of mystical beings against evil? It sounds so biblical, so unbelievably unimaginable."

Lucas smiled, Colton smiling as well.

"We all have imaginations, Mr. Tapper. Mine is just more real." Colton said, Jake staring at him.

"But I already see a small mistake in your story, Lucas." Jake said, Lucas staring at him.

"In what regard, Jake?" he said, remaining calm and relaxed.

"You said that the angel Azrael gave Colton a bow to use against evil, a bow he could not ever shun. I don't see any bow with you, Colton." Jake said, Colton's eyes meeting Lucas' smiling violet pools.

Colton's hand went into his pocket, the young man standing.

Jake's eyes widened when a large crossbow suddenly formed in the young man's hands, its golden arrows gleaming in the surrounding lights.

"Where. . .where did that come from?!" he said, staring at the weapon, his eyes meeting Colton's softly glowing pools.

"It is a part of my soul now. I can reveal it at a moment's notice." Colton smiled, the bow suddenly shrinking to a small item in Colton's palm, the young man returning it to his pocket, sitting down again.

Jake stared at him with awe, his eyes meeting Lucas'.

"My cousin has magic, a magic almost equal to my own perhaps." he said, Colton smiling at him.

"No one equals your magic, Luke. Or your love." he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"The world can't seem to fathom what's going on here, Lucas. Magic, biblical prophecies. Faiths all over the world are reporting surging attendance in their churches. Your words--and actions--are shocking us all."

"I cannot change what has been shown, nor take back what has been said. The truth is coming. Magic, faith and hope are a part of that. I only want you to be prepared for what's to come." Lucas said, everyone staring at him.

"What will happen after this battle, Lucas?" Jake said, awe still showing in his face, the man trying to remain calm.

Lucas smiled, the man's hands going together.

"Life, Jake. The world will finally live." Lucas said, Jake staring at him, the cameras never leaving Lucas' calm face.

"What exactly does that entail?" Jake said, Lucas smiling at him.

"Life sometimes gives us surprises. Recently I found a greater surprise. You see the changed man I now am. That is a part of my destiny. The man you saw at the pope's side was--and is--my true self. That man one day will show himself again. And on that day, I'll have my life's happiness. For now I walk a path of destiny." Lucas said, his eyes meeting Colton's blue.

"I feel them, Lucas." he said, Lucas smiling.

"I'll end this interview with one more truth, Jake. My magic is a beacon to all souls. It took me forever to realize that. The Shades of life and eternity are drawn to my love." Lucas said, his family trading looks with each other, Lucas smiling at them.

Francesca rose from her seat, Emerson looking up at her.

"I feel them, Lucas. And I feel you." she said, Lucas smiling from his seat, Jake looking towards Lucas' family, a look of confusion on his face.

Lucas' violet pools met his, the cameras locked on him.

"I said that the army of goodness would have magic and love. All souls of this earth cross the veil of life into the void of eternity. There they await the coming of God's embrace of eternal love. God keeps them there to atone for their lives, for goodness and love. But he also has a greater plan for all waiting souls." Lucas said, the young man rising from his seat, Alain staring up at him with dawning awareness.

"No, Lucas!" he said, Lucas smiling and walking past Jake, the man waving at the cameramen to follow Lucas' movement.

Lucas walked up the wall of windows, staring out into the darkened city behind them.

"My heart holds forgiveness. My love is the forgiveness of life. You only had to see that in real life. But now you know of it in the void."

Everyone's eyes widened, the cameras continuing to run.

"I never knew, Lucas."

Lucas turned, a young man standing behind him.

Jake's eyes were wide with shock, the young man having materialized out of thin air, his body a soft shadow at first, now solid and muscular.

"My love was always there, Jacob. You only had to feel its realness then."

Jacob Addison stood in front of Lucas, the room silent.

"I do now, Lucas. Oh God, how I've felt it since. . ." he said, Lucas moving forward, a few inches separating them.

"Why, Lucas? Why did you do it?" he said, tears showing on his handsome face.

"I always felt the trueness of your soul, Jacob. I felt the deeper truth within your soul." Lucas said, his own eyes showing a soft wetness.

"They told me. . .of your forgiveness, of your flowing love. I felt it the moment I walked into the void."

Lucas nodded, Jacob staring at him.

"You saved me, Lucas. Your love drew me into the void. The void of God's judgment." Jacob said, Lucas smiling at him.

"I feel your soul now, Jake. God has a soul of forgiveness as well." Lucas said, Jacob tearing up.
"I feel your love, Lucas. It was never mine to have. Thank you for saving me. For giving me new hope." the young man said, Lucas' hand going out slowly, touching Jake's cheek.

"My Jake. As beautiful as the day I met you. I always wanted you to have happiness." Lucas said, the young man in front of him tearfully smiling.
"He now has, Lucas."

Everyone's eyes widened, another young man now standing at Jacob's side.

Jake Tapper stared in shock, the room silent.

"I felt the hidden love. I'm glad it's come to a greater beauty." Lucas smiled, staring into the blue eyes of Carl Wilson.

"How did you know?" Carl said, Lucas smiling at him.

"My magic feels love. On all planes of life." Lucas said, Jacob staring at him.

"I never knew the beauty of it, Lucas. Not till Carl walked out of the darkness of the void into my life. Or what my life now is." Jacob said, his eyes meeting Carl's.

"Your life is on its new path, Jacob. The love growing in your souls will guide you both to the greater love." Lucas smiled, Carl looking towards the windows.

"We don't feel this world anymore, Lucas. We only feel the happiness of our souls. And we feel the love flowing around us." Carl said, his hand going into Jake's, Lucas smiling at both men.

"Thank you for coming, my friends." Lucas said, the two young men smiling at him.

"Your love draws all, Lucas." Carl said, Jake Tapper slowly walking up to the two men.

"You. . .you two are dead!" he said, Lucas smiling at the man.

"Of this world, yes. They now reside in the void." Lucas said, Carl's eyes meeting his.

"They are ready, Lucas. All souls are ready for the joining of the path. Azrael awaits." Carl said, Jake Tapper looking at him with confusion.

"Awaits what?" he said, Lucas staring at him.

"The battle, Jake. The angelic host will have the Shades of God's love at their side. That is who shall fight the final battle for goodness. God's angelic host and the awaiting souls of eternal love."

"Dead. . .dead men and angels?!" Jake said, Lucas nodding.

"An army of God's giving love. No evil will ever stand against that." Lucas said, the young man's eyes meeting Jacob Addison's blue pools.

"Why Lucas? Why did you save me?" he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"I felt your goodness, Jacob. Lost within your troubled soul, I felt its truth. I forgave you a long time ago. Now you can follow the true soul within you. As can you, Carl. I think both of you will be good for each other. Your love is identical in its truth." Lucas said, Carl and Jacob looking at each other with love.

"We will stand with you, Lucas. Azrael has our oath, as he has all souls awaiting the final path." Jacob said, Lucas nodding his head.

"Your love stands with mine. I feel all its beauty."

The two young men smiled, both young men fading into the darkness as they walked past Lucas and through the glass wall.

Jake stared after them, total awe on his face.

Lucas stared at him, the cameras again on him.

"I wanted to show you what's coming, Jake. All worlds unite against evil. Goodness is coming, in many forms. And the love will never be greater."

Lucas smiled, Jake nodding his head.

"This is. . .?"

"This is life, Jake. And my magic and love will show that. That's all I wanted to say this evening. I've said my say. From now to the battle I will only focus on my own happiness."

Jake stared at the young man, Lucas standing in front of the windows.

"We just saw Jacob Addison and Carl Wilson, two young men who died recently! You've drawn them back from. . .from wherever they've come." he said, Lucas nodding.

"My magic draws all." Lucas said, Colton, Harry and Alain walking up to him.

"You love draws all, Lucas." Colton said, Lucas smiling at him.

"Where. . .where will this battle take place, Lucas?" Jake said, Lucas staring at him.

"On the Plains of Life, my friend." he said, Jake staring at him.

"Where is that, Lucas?"

The young man sighed, looking out the window again, turning back to Jake.

"It is in Egypt. Where all this began so many eons ago." Lucas said, everyone staring at him with surprise.

"The battle will be fought there. Only those of mystical love and demonic evil will fight." Lucas said, Jake staring at him.

"Will the world see that battle?" he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"The world will come to know of its truth. My magic will show that." Lucas said, Jake nodding his head.

"You hold your secrets close, Lucas. I think you're going to shock us even more, if that's even possible." he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"Oh, it's possible. Hold onto your seats, everyone. It only gets better." Lucas said, the cameras zoning in on his handsome face.

"I believe you, Lucas." Jake said, extending his hand.

Lucas smiled, shaking it.

"Thank you for letting me do this, Jake."

"Goodbye, Lucas. The world will keep watching."

Lucas smiled, the cameras going off.

Everyone surrounded Lucas, Josh's hand going into his.

Jake stared at the young man, Lucas smiling at him.

"That was amazing, Lucas. I still can't believe what I just saw." he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"Life is full of surprises, I just show more than most." Lucas smiled, Josh smiling at him.
"Why do you think I'm so happy?"
Lucas smiled, the two kissing, Jake quietly watching him.

Jules walked up to Jake, the two quietly talking.

Lucas' family surrounded him, Tristan staring at his son.
"Egypt, Luke?" he said, Lucas nodding his head.

"We'll talk after, Dad." he said, Francesca staring at her grandson.

"I felt their coming love, Lucas. I felt the unity within it." she said, Lucas lowering his eyes.

"We should go back home. I suddenly feel tired." Lucas said, Josh's arm going around him.

"We'll leave right away, my love." Josh said, Jake walking back to the them.

"I just talked with Anderson. The world's already reacting to this, Lucas. You're going to be swarmed with interview requests." he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"I just gave my last interview, Jake. I won't speak on anything till after the battle, if then."
Jake nodded, staring at him.

"They'll hound you constantly." he said, Lucas smiling.

"I have my ways to disappear." he said, Jake smiling.

"Indeed you have. Thank you for letting me do this, Lucas. It's been the most amazing night of my life."

"Soon enough, Jake. Jewels shine with life."

Jake smiled, looking softly confused, walking away.

"Let's go home, guys." Lucas said, Alain's hand going to his shoulder.

"Follow Harry and me, Luke." he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"Anywhere, sexy."

Alain smiled, he and Harry walking out of the room, everyone following.

They met Joe in the hallway, his security surrounding them.

It was a free-for-all getting out of the building, the media surrounding them, the security thick, the path to their vehicles short.

Lucas remained quiet in the car, snuggled against Josh, Justin on his other side, the man feeling his and Lance's love.

Three quarters of an hour later they walked into the condo, everyone seated rising from their seats.

Lucas smiled at everyone, seeing the looks on their faces.

"What? Is my zipper down?" he said, smiling at everyone.

"Lucas, that was. . .that was unbelievable!" Finn said, Lucas smiling at him.

"I saw where your eyes were drawn to, perv." he smiled, Finn blushing.

"I was talking about the interview!" he said, Lucas smiling and walking into the living room.

Grayson stared at Lucas, the young man smiling at him.

"Carl and Jacob, Lucas?" he said, Gabriel's arm around his husband.

"We all deserve love, Uncle Gray. You have yours, they have theirs." Lucas said, Grayson nodding.

"I loved the boy once, Lucas. I'm glad you gave him his love." he said, Lucas nodding, the young man walking up to the windows, looking out into the darkness again.

Lance moved, walking up to him, his arm going around him.

Everyone sat down, feeling a soft emotion coming from Lucas, an emotion he'd kept hidden all evening.

"Your love never ends, our Lucky." Lance said, Lucas nodding.

"They needed love, Lance. I always felt that in both." he said, staring out into the darkness.

"And your soul needed peace. A peace you could find in your helping them. Our ever-giving, ever-loving Lucas."

Lucas teared up, Lance kissing his cheek.

"I feel your soul, my love." Josh said, now at his other side, Justin behind him, his hand going to Lucas' back.

"Why did they have to die to find love, Josh? Why were they robbed of life to find happiness?" Lucas said, his shoulders shaking.

"You've said it yourself many times, my love. You are love. They said they felt your love in the void. That all Shades feel your love." Lance said, Lucas staring into the darkness.

"We all saw the looks on their faces when they looked at each other, Luke. You gave them love. Your love joined their love. Yes, it would have been nice if it had have happened in this world, but their love now can be eternal. You've given them eternal love."

"That's all I wanted for both. They needed to feel love." he said, Josh kissing his cheek.

"You are the soul of love, Lucas. God forgave both. Your love is God's love." Lewis said, Jacques' arm around him.

Lucas turned back, wiping his eyes, staring at the minister.

"We all have God's love, Lewis." he said, Lewis smiling at him.

"Yes, but I believe you've felt it more." he smiled, Lucas smiling at him.

"Forgive me for my outburst. It's been an emotional few days." Lucas said, Finn rising from his seat, walking up to the young man.

His hand went to his shoulder, Lucas smiling at him.

"No one faults you for your emotions, Luke. We all feel the love behind it. You're one of a kind."

Lucas smiled, Finn staring at him.

"I now see that you have forgiven Jake, Lucas. And I saw the love in his eyes. He's changed. I think I can forgive him for what he did to you, too. The past is over. His life and ours goes on." Finn said, Lucas smiling, the two friends hugging.

"My zipper's still down, Finny. Want to explore?"

Finn laughed, slapping Lucas' ass.

"That's what your boy toys are for, perv." Finn said, smiling and breaking their embrace, returning to his wife's arms.

Lucas felt the three of his soul surround him, Tristan walking up to his son.

"You never cease to amaze us, Lucas." he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"I still amaze myself, Dad." he said, Tristan smiling at him.

"I feel your soul, Dad. Speak from the heart." Lucas said, Tristan staring at his son.

"The battle will be in Egypt?" he said, Lucas sighing.

"Yes, Dad. The battle will be on the Plains of Life. As I announced."
"Why Egypt, Luke? Because of Alsarius?" Tristan said, Lucas staring at him.

"He is part of it, Dad. He was the first who felt the evil."

"As we of his blood have felt, down to myself." Tristan said, Lucas smiling at him.

"You will be the last, Dad. My love will see to that."

"I will be by your side, Lucas. When do we leave for Egypt?" Tristan said, Lucas smiling and hugging his father.

"I will take your love, Dad. But we aren't going to Egypt. Not in the traditional sense." Lucas said, everyone staring at him.

"Meaning what, my love?" Josh said, his arm around him now.

"Meaning that we aren't going to the Egypt of today."

Everyone looked confused.
"What do you mean, Luke?" Justin asked, everyone about to voice the same question.

"Meaning that the battle for goodness will be fought on the sands of a lost Egypt." Lucas said, Colton walking up to him.

"A lost Egypt, Dad?" he said, Lucas staring into his blue pools.

"Yes, Colt. I've finally unraveled the enigma of Kurucu, and what he is."

"The lost king in that tomb? You mean he's from a lost time in Egypt's past? We're going back in time?" Lance said, Lucas' eyes going around the room.

"No, Lance. That's been the confusion of the whole riddle."

"What do you mean, Lucas?" Gabriel said, Lucas looking around the room again.

"I mean that it's not to the past we shall venture."

Lucas walked back to the windows, staring out into the darkness.

"Kurucu was never from the past. Alsarius' entrapment was a decision of the future."

Tristan walked up to his son, turning him in his arms.

"You're not making sense, Lucas. What are you trying to say?"

"The monster who enslaved our ancestor wasn't from the past, or evil's center."

Tristan looked confused.

"Kurucu is a being from the future, the past and all time lines."

"What do you mean, Lucas?" Lewis said, Jacques' arms pulling him close.

Lucas looked around the room, sighing again.

"I have gazed into his true eyes, Good Reverend. God's given me the answer."

Lewis looked confused.

The next words silenced the room.

Lucas stared at everyone.

"I am Kurucu."
