LOVE YA Chapter 17: [P{i}c]-[ture] of [S{u}c]-[cess] " So, can anyone tell me the normal length of time that it takes your power once in astral form?" Professor Michaels asked. He smiled and moved in front of the class, looking for students, " Um, yes Erick." he smiled, pointing to a small, freckled red-headed child. The boy put his hand down and cleared his throat, " it all differs from person to person. Some witches get their powers faster than others." he said eloquently. Professor Michaels chuckled and looked back at me, " That's right, um, Pahras, how long did it take you?" he asked. I glanced up nervously at him, " Um...instantly." I said uncertainly. The class got quiet and looked at me. Professor even stared, " Um, come again." he said. I thought about it, " I couldn't touch anything my first time. I'm not sure about my powers, but the second time...I used my powers." I said softly. " Oh." Professor Michaels said, turning to the class, " For now, I've had you practicing by yourself, but finals are coming up and I'd like to see how it's coming. So...Pahras, would you show us how you do it?" he smiled. I looked at him and nodded, projecting from my body, " It gets easier, but of course my powers are somewhat...amplified." I said, casting a weary glance at them. " Does that mean you obey laws of gravity and time?" Professor Michaels asked. I looked back at him, " Ummm, not sure. Gravity I can envision, but time?" I asked. " What..." came a voice of a student, no older than me, " makes you think that you can be a T.A. or even try to teach us this stuff if you don't know the basics?" the blonde girl asked. I looked back at Professor Michaels, who nodded, then back at the class, " Because, I have experience. I may not know if I can defy gravity or, you know, time, but I do know that I can make myself intangible." I put my hand through Professor Michaels' chest, to which he gave a jump, " I have Halliwell blood in me, so there's a possibility of anything." I shrugged. Professor tried to put his hand on my shoulder and fell through, causing the class to chuckle, " Um, can you levitate or go back in time?" he asked, regaining his balance. " Levitate?" I asked, " Yeah, there was this time I did, but I wasn't in astral form, I was in my body." " So, perhaps you can do it, especially if you're Charmed." Professor Michaels smiled, " Try. Imagine you're floating." I nodded and closed my eyes, imagining I was floating in the air, " I don't think it's working." I said, opening my eyes to a shock! I was floating above the classroom and several students had gotten out of their seats and stared in awe, " Or, maybe it has." I said quickly, " How do I get down?" " Imagine yourself on the ground." Professor Michaels said, looking up to me. I nodded and imagined myself on the ground, and suddenly I fell from the sky and landed on my astral ass, " Sonova..." I said, standing and rubbing my ass. " Maybe we should try going back in time." Professor Michaels joked. I scoffed and chuckled. ======================================================================== Chris had a demon in the crystal cage. He had found the demon hiding in the house and the only way he noticed was that there was no wicker furniture in his room. Chris was alert but he couldn't stop thinking of what Pahras said. He was moving away and even though Chris didn't want to say it, he was. " Tell me who you are!" Chris shouted, causing the demon to writhe in pain. The demon panted, " Clotus...I am advisor to the Source." Clotus smiled. " Really? Give him a message." Chris said angrily. " What?" Clotus asked. " Go back to hell!" Chris said, tossing a ready made potion at the crystal cage and the demon blew up! " Wow!" Wyatt said, annoucing his arrival, " You're packing some serious heat, aren't you, bro." he asked. " Somebody has to." Chris sneered. Wyatt held his head, " Wow, hostility!" he said in pain. " Damn right!" Chris said angrily. " Ok." Wyatt said slowly, " Wanna tell me why? I hear people are actually using vowels now." " It's all funny now, huh?" Chris said, casting Wyatt a look of disgust. " Heartbreak?" Wyatt asked, " What happened Chris? Bianca break up with you?" " Nothing." Chris said, " We just need to work on this potion." " What kind of potion, bro?" Wyatt asked, looking at the book. Wyatt was shocked when he saw that Chris was cooking up a memory loss potion, " Whose memories are you screwing with?" he asked sternly. Chris ignored him and added Thyme to the potion. " Christopher Perry Halliwell!" Wyatt asked again. " I'm...I can't tell you." Chris shouted, " I have a secret to keep. A promise that I'm not breaking and to be honest, I don't feel like dealing with your condescending attitude right now! Right now, I'm trying to make a potion that's going to stop something extremely bad from happening, so you can either help or run away like you usually do." he vented. " Run away?" Wyatt asked. " Don't get me wrong, before you'd vanquish demons in a heartbeat, but you moved away and it feels like you don't care anymore. You left us here to deal with so many things we could have gotten through together, Wyatt. You're not the only one adjusting to changes." Chris griped. Wyatt nodded and grabbed murdock root from the table, " Here." he said, glancing at Chris. Chris gave a weak smile, " Drop it in." Chris said, relieved. " So, how do I make things better?" Wyatt asked. " This is a start." Chris smiled. Both brothers smiled and grabbed ingredients off the floor, throwing them in the cauldron. ========================================================================= The Source swayed through his castle in the Underworld and wondered how it would come to pass. 'It', you may ask. It is the fight, the inevitable fight. New Charmed Ones Vs. New Source. The New Source Vs. the New Charmed Ones. Epic. He revelled in knowledge he had. The weakness and strengths and he knew that the New Charmed Ones would have it too. Though, he was confused that there was yet another Charmed group. Maybe they were prophesized, but he hadn't noticed. Their flaw is, as was the flaw of every witch, they were human. " Exactly." the new seer grinned. The Source turned to her, " What?" he asked. " Well, Bar..." she started, but she pasued when he stared at her in anger, " Sorry, my liege, I see something peculiar in your future." " Peculiar?" The Source asked, sniffing the air, " I smell fear, your greatest fear. To be vanquished." " After all these years, still, you're still haboring this vendetta?" The seer asked, switching her dark brown hair and rubbing her dark skin, " I think it's kinda sweet, like courtship." she smiled. " Are they working on the spells?" The Source asked. The seer smiled and her eyes went white, " Of course, it should be working..." she paused and looked into her crystal ball, " Right now." she smiled. ==================================================================== " Hey, Wyatt." Tristan said as he walked to the table in the library, his friends trialing behind him. " What's up, dude?" Bradlie said, giving Wyatt five. " Nothing," Wyatt smiled, looking around the library, " You do know this is a quiet place, right?" " Quiet, smiet!" Kierkan laughed, " When did we get a library anyways?" " Yeah!" Carter smirked. " So, where's the kid?" Bradlie asked. " Who?" Wyatt asked, sensing a sudden burst of lust, " Drake?" " I thought his name was Pahras?" Bradlie asked, sitting down. " It changes from day to day." Tristan joked. Wyatt frowned, " His full name is Pahras Drake Summers and he didn't like Pahras, so he told everyone to call him Drake." he explained, " But recently, he's Pahras." " Oh." Bradlie said, " So, he's...a cousin?" " No, he's a really great friend of the family. We've known each other for years now." Wyatt smiled. Bradlie nodded, " So, Summers...doesn't he do something in the Bay Mirror?" he asked. " The column? Yeah." Wyatt said and Tristan laughed, " He's actually pretty good. And his mom just died." " Really? How is he?" Bradlie asked. ' can we talk about something else?" Tristan sighed, " He's such a downer." " Sure, why not." Bradlie nodded, getting up, " Wyatt, we're going to the bar, wanna go?" As Wyatt was about to answer, he felt something pulse through him and suddenly he didn't feel like doing anything else," I need to do work, I might come later." he lied. " Al...right." Tristan said, " You know where we'll be." he said, leading the gang from the library and out the door. Wyatt looked dwon at his book and began working again. ======================================================================= "..." Chris was in the middle of a sight spell when he felt the surge through his body. The sight spell was to see through any spells cast and hadn't worked until now, to see if Pahras was under a spell or something, " See." he said, finishing the spell and looking back at the book, feeling the surge fall away, " What the hell was that?" he said, walking to the window. He stopped as he heard an explosion from below to see what was going on. ========================================================================= I typed on the computer and looked down at my desk, trying to find the letter I had just sat down. I couldn't find it and suddenly something blew up behind me and I turned to see if anyone saw and Phoebe was standing at the door. Phoebe laughed, " It's okay." she said calmly, " Piper started out the same way." " It's only lately that I'm off." I whined, wanting my powers to just obey. " Well, it's understandable with what you've been through." Phoebe said softly. " Oh, no, that's...I was looking for this letter and suddenly there was a boom. Big boom." I smiled Phoebe moved into my office and sat in front of my desk, " So, how are things?" she asked. " Good, the column is great, school is great, tutoring is...hard, but great." I chuckled, so she wouldn't firgure out I was skirting the real question. " My, but you can skirt the issue." Phoebe smirked. " I'm just trying to keep my grades at least at a B, get ready for college, and keep my social life existent while fighting the forces of evil." I said quickly, " Full life." " Good luck with that." Phoebe smirked. " You never felt like that?" I asked. " Only after I fought the final fight." she said, standing, " And even now, I know that some demon could come kill me." " But they wouldn't be after you anymore." I said, " Would they?" " Cole was." Phoebe said, standing and walking to the door. I thought for a minute, " We should really vanquish him." I chuckled. " Again, good luck with that." Phoebe said, " You got a ride?" she asked. " I drove the rover." I smiled, " Thanks though." " Be careful." she said, leaving. " Alwa..." I said, then stopped as I felt a surge of energy and suddenly all I could think about was doing work for the article, but I could say a spell and help my reader, then I remembered that the spells were in the Book of Shadows, at the manor, so I grabbed my laptop and left the office. I don't know how, but I found myself outside the manor, trying to get in and find the book. I held up my hand and the door exploded from its hinges and I walked in just in time to see Chris orb in front of me. " What the hell is going on?" Chris shouted, looking at the door, " When Mom and Dad get back, they're gonna be pissed!" he said, examining the door. I said nothing, instead, I ascended the stairs. I was in the attic when Chris orbed, once again, in front of me. " What're you doing?" Chris asked, looking from me to the laptop, " Pahras." I ignored him and walked to the book, " I'm going to help my readers." I said. " Readers?" he asked, walking beside me, " HOw?" " Gonna say a little spell." I said, trying to find the 'right' spell. " What's that gonna fix?" Chris asked. " Hello, haven't you been listening? Their problems!" I said, flipping through the pages. " It's not gonna help them and I think this is a spell." Chris said, looking at the golden matter surrounding Pahras. " Then why aren't you affected?" I asked. " I dunno." he said, Wyatt! Kyle!" he shouted. Kyle orbed in and stood in front of us, " What's wrong?" he asked. " Chris thinks I'm under a spell." I said. " Why?" Kyle asked. " Because he's gonna use magic to help his readers." Chris sighed. " It's totally normal." I said, stopping at a spell. Chris folded his arms and his deep, dark eyes stared at me, " You're serious." he asked. I nodded and walked to him, " You can't understand..." I said, touching him and getting a vision. *Vision* Wyatt was thrown back against a wall and a blue demon with white and gray hair floated in and hit us with a blast that sent us through the wall and into the Sun Room! *Vision* " Oh my gosh, we have to get to Wyatt!" I said quickly. " Spell's over." Chris said, grabbing my shoulders. " Definitely." I smiked, " We're attacked, but..." Wyatt orbed in, " Sorry, did someone call me?" he asked, looking between all of us, " Something was up, huh?" " Yeah. We've gotta mega trouble coming." I said sadly. Oh my.
