Olli: Sorry, I just answered because I thought that the owner might be calling himself. Christian: Who is this? Olli: Olli? Christian: You sound like you're not sure. Olli: Well, I'm definitely Olli. Christian: Ok then, Olli. You've got my brother's phone. Olli: Oh, the infamous Gregor. Great guy, I hear. Christian: Well, he's family. So, where are you? I mean, where did you find the phone? Olli: I found the little guy in the gutter, in the street. Christian: Which gutter, which street? Olli: I'm trying to be mysterious. Christian: Ok...it's working. Gregor's gonna be so pissed. He was waiting on an important call. I almost didn't call him...didn't want to get his hopes up. Olli: I'm glad you did...because now you can tell me where your brother is and I can return his toy. I don't work today, hence me walking around aimlessly in the park. Christian: Ahhah! So, you're in the park! Olli: I think I've blown my cover... Christian: Which park? I could meet you there and pick it up myself. Olli: No, really...I don't mind. Just tell me his address and I'll head right over. Christian: Or you could bring it here. He'll be busy at the hangar all day. Olli: The hangar? Christian: Gregor's fixing up this old helicopter. He shouldn't be bothered. Olli: I thought you said he's waiting on an urgent call. Shouldn't I get the phone to him as soon as possible? Christian: I said important call...but it's just some guy about a part...for the scrapheap. And you don't want to drive all the way out there, anyway. There's hiking involved, lots of wilderness, and he may think you're a trespasser and attack you or something. It's better that you bring it here. Olli: Ok, you've convinced me! Where are you? Christian: NoLimits. I'm working at that bar, NoLimits. Do you know the place? Olli: I know it well. I was there just the other day. Christian: Really? Maybe I served you. Olli: What do you look like? Christian: Why? Olli: Maybe an explanation of your appearance will jolt my memory. Christian: I look like a regular guy. Ummm...I'm 6'1, light brown hair, about 160 pounds... Olli: You just gave your statistics like you're applying for an internet dating service. Christian: I also enjoy long walks on the beach and cookies. Olli: I'll have to remember that. What color are your eyes? Christian: Blue. Olli: My favorite color. Christian: So...do you remember me? Olli: Now that I think of it...I had a female waitress. Blond, big smile, really clumsy...name - Miriam. Christian: Oh...you just remembered, did you? Olli: It all came flooding back to me. What's your name? Christian: Christian. Olli: My favorite name. Christian: If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were flirting with me. Olli: Do you want me to bring the phone there now? Christian: Whenever...it looks like I might be here all day. Gregor's been slacking on his responsibilities. Olli: Oh, poor guy. It's a pity that you don't get to enjoy this beautiful day. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, a woman just bought her daughter an ice-cream cone and she giggled...oh, and a hot rollerblader just rushed past me and slapped my ass. Christian: He didn't! Olivia: Olli, I'm so glad I ran into you! What are you doing here? Who are you talking to? Hang up...I need your help! Olli: Christian? Christian: Olli? Olli: I have to go, but I'll see you soon. Maybe we can... Olivia: Bye, whoever you are! Christian: Hallo? Olli? ------HOURS LATER------ Christian: Olli...what are you...? Olli: Miss me? Christian: Desperately. Olli: Don't worry...I'm not a stalker...I was just calling because I wanted to tell you that it might take me a while to get there...I suddenly have a million errands to run. And I wanted to hear your voice. Christian: Oh, really? Should I sing or something? Olli: I'd be honored! Go ahead...I'm waiting... Christian: Olli...keeehh...You're...skeee...breaking up... Olli: Fine, spoilsport! Christian: So, what are these errands that are suddenly more important than returning the phone? Olli: I have to go from store to store and buy this and that...oh, and I have to save a cat out of a tree...and a baby from a burning building. Christian: Heroic...about the store stuff. I hate shopping. It sounds like your day of leisure has just turned into a day of boring tasks. No more park for you! Olli: Yup...I even have a nifty list! Christian: What do you do...besides rescue kittens, babies and shop? Olli: Well, my superhero duties take up most of my time, but I still hold down a job at Schneiders...it's a good cover. Olli, the unassuming star waiter by day...do you know it...Schneiders? Christian: Never been there...what do you look like? Olli: Cheeky. Christian: Seriously...shouldn't I know what you look like so I can recognize you when you finally get here? Olli: Finally? You can't wait, can you? Christian: Go on... Olli: I have green eyes, dark brown hair, I weigh about the same as you and I'm an inch shorter...and I also enjoy long walks on the beach and cookies. Christian: It looks like we hav... Customer: What's taking you so long? Where's my coffee? Another customer: Yeah, get off the phone and do your job! Olli: Busted! Christian: I have to go...they're piling up. Olli: Ok, I hope you're not fired! Christian: Tschüs! ------HOURS LATER------ Olli: Sweetheart, its been too long. Christian: I'm not a creep...I just wanted to tell you that you coming here and bringing Gregor back his phone is really nice of you...and I wanted to repay you somehow. Olli: What did you have in mind? Christian: I could help you out with that list of yours. Olli: Don't you have to work? Christian: It's no big deal...Miriam just arrived and I can take a lunch. Olli: And you're going to spend your lunch break running around, shopping with a stranger? You'd be a distraction anyway... Christian: And how's that? Olli: I saw some pictures of you...or at least what I assume was you. Christian: Where? Olli: In Gregor's phone. Christian: You spy! What pictures were they? Olli: I'm not telling...but let me just say...wow! Christian: Come on! You're bluffing...I don't even remember Gregor taking any pictures of me. Olli: Oh, he did...and they are lovely. Christian: Describe one. Olli: Hmmmm...in one, you're flipping off the camera, your hair's sticking up, you have a towel around your waist and you're crossing your eyes! Christian: Oh, nein. Olli: Oh, doch! Christian: Ok, I remember... Olli: Can you do me a favor? Christian: Just ask. Olli: Can you stay on the phone with me...keep me company for a while? I really don't want my day off to consist of me talking only to clingy shop women. Christian: I guess I can do that. Olli: Ahchoo! Christian: Did you just sneeze? Olli: Ahchoo! Christian: You sneeze cute. Olli: Ahchoo! What? Did you say something? Christian: Ja, gesundheit. Olli: Danke. Christian: Wait a sec, I have a customer. Ok, large or small? Olli: Large. Christian: Shhhh, I wasn't talking to you... Olli: What's Miriam doing? Christian: She's...she's talking to some guy at a table...and surprisingly not spilling things on him. Olli: Oh, that Miriam...where the...? Great! Christian: Was? Olli: I just found the damned store that I was searching for. Christian: Glückwünsche! Olli: Dankeschön! Christian: Hold on, Olli. That'll be 2.50. Olli: Are we alone now? Christian: Depends on what you mean by alone. The man I just gave a coffee to left, but there are...five...six...nine customers in here at the moment. Olli: I'm starving. Christian: There's food here. Olli: Nice try...but I'm way across town. Christian: Mmmm, this sandwich is delicious. Olli: You're fake eating! Christian: How could you tell? Olli: I know all... Christian: You know? You can be pretty spooky sometimes. Olli: I know. Does this come in yellow? Christian: I don't want to know what you could possibly be buying...yellow? Shop girl: Yes, I'll be right back. Olli: Cut it out...for all I know, you only wear bath towels. Christian: You're right. I'm wearing one now. I've had a few complaints, but hey...what can I do? No, he's not back yet...go ahead, I'll just suffer alone. Olli: Miriam's leaving you? Christian: Yup, I'm abandoned. Olli: Well, you still have me...wait a sec. Hey...long time no see. Dieter: I was starting to think you forgot about me. Olli: I could never forget you. Did you get a haircut? It looks good. Dieter: You flatter me. Olli: I'll have the usual. Dieter: I bet you will. Olli: Thanks, Dieter. Dieter: Next time I better get a kiss. Olli: I'm not making any promises. Dieter: Tease! Christian: What was that? Olli: That was French Fries Dieter...he likes me. Christian: And you flirt with the poor guy...for what...extra food? Olli: I know how to get what I want...at least when it comes to sausa...eh, food. Christian: What? Food? I think you were going to say something else. Olli: I have no idea what you're going on about...ooohh, a flower shop! Christian: Nice subject change there. Olli: I try. Christian: Have you noticed that this conversation has been going on for...more than four hours? Olli: I have...maybe we should talk about other things...more personal things... Christian: I'm not revealing anything until I'm sure you aren't an axe murderer. Olli: I assure you, I'm not. I use ice picks...not as messy. Christian: So...something personal...did you have any pets growing up? Olli: A hamster...but alas...he died. Christian: Sorry to bring up the horrible memory. Olli: You can console me later. Christian: So, there will be a later? Because I'm starting to think that you're never gonna show up. Olli: Patience... Christian: Can I help you? Olivia: You could have asked me that when I got here! I'll have a large mocha...if you can pry your lazy ass away from your cell phone for two seconds and wait on a paying customer. Christian: Excuse me? Olli: Christian, hand the phone to that rude girl. Christian: What? No. Why? Olli: Just do it. Olivia: Hello...Olivia Schneider speaking... Olli: Be nice to him. Olivia: Olli? How the hell...what are you spying on me now? Olli: Yes...and everywhere you go, I call the people around you...just so I can scold you when you misbehave. Olivia: I wouldn't put it past you. Olli: What is Christian doing? Olivia: He's folding his arms and staring at me...dumbly, I might add. Hey, is he that guy? The guy with the sexy voice? Olli: Stop talking. Olivia: Make me. Olli: Give him his phone back. Olivia: Not unless you admit that you like this guy and his sexy voice. Olli: You're being a child. Olivia: I'm waiting... Olli: Fine! I like him and his sexy voice...now hand it over to him. Olivia: Olli, I didn't hear you...bad service or something...can you say that again...and a little louder? Olli: This is incredibly stupid. I like him and his sexy voice...happy? Christian: Ecstatic! Olli: I wasn't talking about you. Christian: Of course you weren't. Olli: Did Olivia leave? Christian: She's slowly heading to the door. Olli: She's so nosey. So, did you enjoy meeting my beautiful cousin? Christian: She's a delight. Olli: She's family. Christian: Speaking of family...Gregor's gonna be mad about the high phone bill. Olli: Oh, yeah...Gregor. Is he not back yet? Christian: No, he didn't even show up today. I'm already closing up. Olli: Poor baby. Christian: I don't know what kinds of errands run this late into the night. Maybe you're a figment of my imagination. Olli: You're somewhat right. I've actually been stalling you the whole day. I needed to distract you from the fact that I'm stealing your brother's phone. I'm already halfway to Ibiza. Christian: Really, what are you doing now? Olli: I'm talking to you...and I'm about to head into one more establishment. Christian: Olli? I was wondering if...when you get here...do you want to do something tonight? Go out somewhere? Wait a sec...We're closed! Olli: Who's that? Christian: I don't know, but he's still...wait. Sorry, we're closed. I've already...oh...it's you... Olli: Are you ready for me? The end **************************************************** A little German lesson: Hallo = Hello Tschüs = Bye Nein = No Doch = Yes Ja = Yes Gesundheit = Health (bless you - after sneezing) Danke = Thanks Glückwünsche = Congrats Dankeschön = Thank you FYI: If the timing seems a little off...I was just showing parts of their conversation...it was supposed to have lasted the whole day. (incase that wasn't clear) And thanks for reading my story! Go ahead and send me feedback @ nittyismyname@yahoo.com :D
