Typical for my best friend Alice to pick a place like this. As I was sitting at the bar, I looked into the scratched mirror that ran the whole length of the wall. I didn't look to bad, I was clean shaven and my hair was just messy enough to get away with. I was pleased with the effort I had put into myself over the past couple of years. My chin was defined and my face had lost the puppy fat of late teens and had become more angular. I glanced over to the couple sitting at the end of the bar and I could tell that this was the sort of place where people aired their dirty laundry. The man was running off a long list of words that were not exactly poetic whilst the woman just kept her head down, stirring her olive around in the glass and not wanting to look in to the man's eye. The door pinged open and with it let in a cold gust of air. I looked up and smiled. There he was, Daniel Radcliffe, dressed in a simple pair of trainers, jeans and a sweat shirt with the hood up. He looked around and spotted me sitting at the bar and walked over, carefully making sure that he didn't knock into the chairs that were scattered about the place. "Hey" Daniel said casually, with a smile on this face "Hey yourself. I was beginning to think you couldn't find the place" I looked at my watch jokingly. It was true he was fifteen minutes late, but that just gave me extra time to get some courage down me "Yeah, sorry about that, Alice's directions weren't exactly clear" Daniel pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to me. Sure enough, that was Alice's handwriting and some of the vaguest directions I had ever seen "Turn left at the traffic lights?" I looked up in astonishment that Daniel actually found the place. "Yep, it's a good thing for you that this place is findable on a Sat Nav otherwise I wouldn't be sitting here with you" We both laughed, but stopped quickly as the sound of laughter felt unnatural in this place. "Do you want a drink?" I offered as Daniel took the seat next to me at the bar "Sure, I'll just have a beer" I raised my arm at the bartender flicking through the paper and he took our order. A minute later, he'd gone back to the paper. "So, why do you think that Alice chose this place, of all places?" Daniel asked me between a sip of his beer "Honestly, I don't know why, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that Daniel Radcliffe walked in here and no one even glanced at him" "It is weird, not being noticed, or even looked at, but in a way it feels good. I don't have to pretend to be nice to people or answer their questions. I just get to sit here and enjoy the afternoon" At this point, Daniel reached over and patted my hand and gave me a sly smile. I could feel my chinos start to tighten as I looked into his eyes. I grabbed at my beer and took a big gulp to try and take my mind of things. "Wow, you might want to take it easy there, you know we have got the whole evening" but even so, Daniel finished off his beer in one gulp and ordered two more. We sat in silence for a couple of minutes, both starting on our second beer. The silence wasn't awkward at all and wasn't one of those that either of us felt the need to fill. After a while though, Daniel did break the silence "So what are you doing anyway? Since finishing Uni? He asked, and seemed genuinely interested "Well, at the moment I'm still trying to find a real job, you'd think that getting a degree would make it easier, but nope, I'm still sat in that office everyday getting shouted at for things that aren't my fault" I tried to make it sound that it wasn't really bothering me, but I wasn't fooling anyone. "That's rough" he said simply "Tell me about it" I said, just as simply. "What about you, what have you been up to recently?" "Oh not much, I've been keeping my head down for a while, staying with family and getting back in touch with people" and he winked at me "And by people, I'm guessing you mean Alice?" I said in mock wonderment. "Yes, as a matter of fact, I did mean Alice. I've not seen her for a good couple of years. I'm glad I did get back in touch as her taste in friends seems to have improved" and with that, Daniel gave me another wink and slid off his stool. "Watch my beer will you? I'm just off to the loo" and without waiting for an answer he walked towards the restroom on the far side of the room . Whilst he walked, I couldn't help but notice how tight his jeans were and how they outlined his nice full ass. I looked around, and making sure that no one was looking, I readjusted myself so that if I did have to stand up anytime soon, my erection wouldn't be to noticeable. Hey, thanks for sticking with my first story. I just wanted to get the story set up and get the tone and characters established. I've got a good few ideas on where to take this story next, and in the next instalment I'll add a little more action.
