Date: Tue, 13 Jul 2004 13:51:43 -0700 (PDT) From: Chase Donovon Subject: Orlando Disclaimer: This story is completely fictional. Neither Orlando Bloom nor any other real life celebs mentioned in this work are known to be gay or bisexual. Technical difficulties had delayed the day's shooting and Orlando Bloom found himself curled up in his trailer, listening to a Ben Harper CD and reading through a script that had been messengered to him the day before by his agent. It was typical of the scripts he'd been getting since Lord of the Rings- action adventure films in need of a dewy eyed young heartthrob who could either aim a bow or brandish a sword. It was all getting a bit tiring, really. "Yet here I am again," Orlando muttered aloud. Here was the set of Troy. At least this time, he was playing a character that was less than heroic, although swords and bows were once again key props for his character. It had all been fun at first. Orlando loved a good action flick as much as the next guy. But, really, was he ever going to be offered anything else? Sighing, Orlando ran a hand through his dark hair and put down the script. Closing his eyes, he laid back and let the music coming from his CD player wash over him. The knocking startled Orlando. He must have dozed off. In fact, he'd been having a really sweet dream about Johnny. "Damn," he sighed, reluctant to let go of the dream and feeling a little irritated with whoever it was pounding on his trailer door, probably some poor sap of a PA coming to tell him they'd be ready for him soon. "Yeah?" Orlando asked as he opened the door. "Hey! Were you napping? Sorry!" Orlando bit back the irritated retort that would otherwise have come to his lips. It was impossible to look Brad Pitt in the face and still feel irritated over petty matters. "It's all right. Come in?" Orlando asked, stepping back into the trailer to allow Brad access. "Thanks, man," Brad said as he squeezed past Orlando, their bodies making tantalizing but all too brief contact in the narrow entry way. Orlando felt a stirring in his loins, which wasn't exactly convenient, for a number of reasons. One was that he was currently wearing only his favorite tattered old bathrobe over a pair of boxer shorts. Another was that he had a boyfriend already, and Brad was a married man. He tired to will himself into acting cool as he watched Brad, dressed in a tight pair of blue jeans and an equally tight white t-shirt, sit down in the living room area of his trailer. "So, it looks like the whole day is pretty much shot, man. I just got word from Herr Wolfie," Brad said, using his joking nickname for their director, Wolfgang Peteresen. "A day off? How novel," Orlando grinned, then instantly kicked himself mentally. Why did he always have to sound like some uptight Brit around Brad? He got so nervous around him. "Yeah. So, you want to hang with me? I got nothing to do but sit around and miss Jenn," Brad smiled. "Oh. Sure. Of course," Orlando tried to hide his surprise. Though they'd been quite friendly around the set, they hadn't many scenes together and so far had only gone out socially in group settings. "Great, man. Why don't you get dressed and we'll go find a place to grab some lunch or something," Brad suggested. Orlando glanced down at himself, at the rather threadbare bathrobe he couldn't bring himself to part with, now open to revel his smooth, toned chest. "Yeah, this isn't exactly lunch attire, now is it?" Orland smiled at Brad. "Hold on just a moment." "No hurry," Brad said. Was it Orlando's imagination, or were the older man's eyes lingering a bit longer than necessary on his partially exposed chest? Orlando returned to the trailer's bedroom and quickly doffed the robe. He began frantically searching through the limited wardrobe he had in the trailer, wishing that most of his clothes weren't back in the hotel. 'Why I am getting so flustered over this? He's married. And I'm in love with Johnny.' Orlando reminded himself. And he was. In love with Johnny, that is. It was just really hard being separated so much of the time. He got very lonely, even with their nightly phone conversations, which were the highlight of his day. Finally throwing on a black t-shirt and a pair of khaki shorts over his boxers, Orlando returned to the living room. This time, he had no doubt that Brad's eyes flickered up and down the length of his body, taking him in. Perhaps he was just critiquing the outfit? "Ready?" Orlando asked, his throat feeling a bit dry. "Yeah. So, what are you in the mood for?" Brad asked, standing up. "Excuse me?" "What are you in the mood for? You know, food wise?" Brad asked, a hint of a mischievous smile playing across his lips. "Oh! Of course. Well, anything is fine with me, really." Orlando said. "Okay, come on. I know just the place." Half an hour later, Orlando Bloom found himself seated across a table from Brad Pitt in a secluded, quiet restaurant. His earlier nervousness had already seemed to evaporate as they found common ground in discussing the shoot and their roles in the film. "You're kind of the It Boy right now, you know. I've been there. It can be a wild ride," Brad smiled, after several minutes of conversation. "Yeah. I never really wanted to be the It Boy, you know. I just wanted to make a career in acting, and play some great roles. I-" Orlando stopped talking and began to play with his food a bit. "Let me guess. You feel like you're only getting offered one kind of role now, that you're getting pigeonholed into a certain image?" Brad asked, a knowing smile on his face. Orlando looked up, his eyes meeting Brad's across the table. "Exactly. It's fine for now, but it scares me a bit. I'd love to have a career as versatile as Johnny's." "Johnny's?" Brad asked. Orlando felt himself blushing a bit. "Um, yeah. Johnny Depp. He's sort of my... role model." "Oh. Well, I can tell you that it's all up to you, man. You've got to fight for roles that aren't thought to be 'you'." "Like when you did Twelve Monkeys," Orlando noted, admiration in his voice. "Or Kalifornia." Brad laughed. "Yeah, I guess. Just remember that you have the final say, man. But you've only got that power while you're still considered hot, so be careful with it." Orlando nodded. He and Johnny had had very similar conversations of late. It was strange to be having the same one with Brad Pitt. "Not that I can imagine a time when you're not considered hot," Brad added. Orlando looked up and felt himself blushing when he saw the twinkle in the older man's blue eyes. "Thanks," Orlando said. What exactly was happening here? Was Brad coming on to him? Orlando knew that Brad was considered bisexual, as many in Hollywood were. "Straight' and 'gay' were in the minority in the Entertainment industry, where going both ways usually carried the day. But he also knew that since his marriage to Jennifer Aniston, Pitt had been considered to be completely faithful to his wife. Brad changed the subject back to the shoot, and the two men continued chatting for nearly another hour. Finally, Brad signaled for their check and offered Orlando a ride back to the hotel that most of the cast and crew were calling home for the duration of the shoot. The two men found themselves standing outside Orlando's door quickly enough. "Well, that was a lot of fun, thanks. We should do it again sometime," Orlando said with a smile. "Yeah, we should. We really should. Hey, do you mind if I use your bathroom really quick?" Brad asked. "Uh... sure," Orlando said, turning to open his door. Brad's own room was just farther down the hall, Orlando knew. Once inside, Orlando pointed the way. Brad, however, made no move in that direction. Instead, he stepped closer to Orlando, eliminating any personal space between them. "You have the most beautiful brown eyes," Brad said softly, his breath warm on Orlando's face. Orlando felt his stomach drop. Brad Pitt was coming on to him. Brad Pitt! But Orlando knew he couldn't. He couldn't cheat on Johnny. "Brad-" "Shh!" Brad put a finger on Orlando's lips. Orlando felt a tingle rush through him at even this simple contact. "I just.... I just want to kiss you. Just a kiss," Brad murmured. His eyes locked on Orlando's, he leaned forward slowly. Orlando felt himself swept away by the look in Brad's eyes. Knowing it was wrong, he felt himself lean into the impending kiss, felt his arms slip around Brad's broad back as their mouths and tongues met. He felt Brad's arms wrap around his own body, felt himself pulled closer into Pitt. Finally, Brad pulled away. Orlando's head was swimming. "I want to make love to you, Orlando," Brad whispered. Orlando froze. He couldn't. Johnny. But, his whole body was aching for this, crying out for it. It had been over a month since he and Johnny had last made love. But he loved Johnny. He couldn't cheat on him, not like this. "Brad, I-" "Let's not talk. I know we're both involved with other people, Orlando. This will just be you, and me, right here and right now. No one else has to know, nothing else ever has to happen. Just the two of us, right now, in the moment, giving in to something bigger than both of us," Brad said. Orlando looked into Brad's eyes. He knew what was about to happen, but still couldn't quite believe it. "Brad..." To Be Continued.... Sorry to leave you on that note, but anticipation is the key to return readership! :)
