Date: Thu, 20 Jul 2006 19:08:48 -0700 (PDT) From: Laura Decade Subject: Supernatural: Outer Demons Disclaimer: You guys already know that the wb and cw network own these characters and I made up a character to go with the story. I watched the rain fall outside the hospital room. I turned to John and looked down at Dean, " Is he gonna be alright?" I asked. Let me introduce myself...I'm Chalis Gordon ( Ca-lis Gor-Don) and my father and John Winchester are old buddies. Recently my father passed, and seeing how my mother died when I was very young, I had nowhere to go. John has been taken care of me for the last few months...he's very mysterious, but I don't mind because he's really a good person and I can sense that about him. I'm 16, African American and I'm sitting in the hospital with John, and his two sons, Dean and Sam. Dean, from what John said about him, is the oldest and is very protective of family and is, by his definition, tough. Sam is the younger of the two and he's special...I don't know what that means, but hey, as long as I have family, who cares. " I don't know. I hope..." he started and I frowned. That's the first time I ever heard him say anything remotely unsure and he looked at my face, " What?" he asked. " I just never heard you say anything like that. If it helps, I know they're gonna..." but I stopped as I felt something in the room, " Ooooo, I'm getting dizzy." I said, falling back into a chair. John and Sam rushed to my side, " Are you okay! What is it?" Sam asked. I smiled, " You're in the hospital, after a wreck that could have killed you and your brother and your father and you're asking me am I alright? Yeah, it's Dean. He's in trouble." I said, grimly watching Dean. " What's wrong?" John said looking from me to Sam; " Something is trying to convince him to move on. Dean's smarter than that, isn't he?" I asked John, to which he nodded. " Yeah, where are they?" John asked. " I'm not sure...but I think that I need something to drink I'd better go..." I said getting up, but John insisted on going. I sat there looking at the floor. I looked over and Dean shook his head nervously and smiled. " I'm sorry about Jessica. I know that she meant alot to you." I said, not looking at him. " Yeah. Tell me something, why are you following, of all people, my dad. You're 16, shouldn't you be in school or something?" Sam asked cautiously. " Your dad is a great person. You should learn to forgive him, or at the very least come to a truce. I'm not sure what you guys do, but something tells me you're not bad people." I said, making him laugh. I laughed, too. " What do you guys do?" I asked and he stopped and looked at me. " We fight monsters." he said, trying to make it sound as bad as he could. We talked for 30 minutes, he had an uncanny ability to dazzle me with what he called simple things. He told me about the asylum...and the dopplegangers and everything and it shocked me, that is until something else shocked me! " SAM!" John's voice thundered, " What exactly are you telling him!" he swept past us and put the food and drinks he'd gotten on the table and came back to us. " Sam was just telling me about this fairytale that he..." I started, but I was cut off by John. " I didn't want you to know until you were at least of age! Plus I thought maybe you'd think we were freaks...or just loony." he shouted. Sam just stood there, engaged in a stare-off with John. " Look, I wanna go with them and you and I wanna be apart of the team and kill undead things." I said, making them both stare. " NO!" they both finally agreed, John's voice started, " No, you're only 16 and I don't want anything to happen to you!" he said quieting down. " Yeah, and I don't think Dean would be thrilled either. You're very intelligent and..." Sam started, then stopped and I eyed him, " What?" I asked, and my question was soon imitated by Dean, " Yeah, he's what, Baby brother?" Dean smiled. " So, let me get this straight...you want to come with us, to dangerous places, and...are you sane?" Dean chuckled. " Yeah, and no. My dad died and my mom died and I just need to not be so sheltered anymore. I mean you and Sam are more around my age, sorry John, but I need experience in something other than how to hack into things." but I stopped once I had let it slip. John stared at me, " You can hack into things...when did this start?!" he asked. " What about education?" Sam asked, and that was a toughie. " Well, what about home school, not that you would have to teach me, I'd just do the work and..." I said, I knew they were caving. Dean was chuckling, " I say yeah. I mean, he seems pretty tough to me." he smiled at me and I smiled back, but John's no came to my ears. " yeah." Sam said, smiling at me too. John left the room and I followed. " Uncle John, I know that you're mad at me, but..." I started but he interrupted, " I'm not; I'm scared for you, Sam, and Dean. Promise you'll be careful and look after them." he asked, hugging me. " If you go and talk to your son." i said, turning to the room and leaving him there. " Really?" I said, talking with the guys about their past exploits, " A healer...How was it?". Dean smiled, then shifted. " More trouble than it seems." he laughed. I smiled and looked at Sam as John stepped into the room. " Sam, can we talk?" he said, bringing his eyes to meet Sam's. Sam looked at him and nodded before looking at Dean. He then left the room and I gave John the thumbs up. Dean tapped my shoulder, " You did that, huh." he asked, raising his eyebrow. "I can be very persuasive...and it doesn't hurt that I promised him something in return. So, are you gonna eat the jello?" I beamed. He beamed back and laughed. After a minute and 9,000 commericals later, Sam and John walked back in and Dean and I stared at each other. " I think I'm hungry again...I'm going downstairs to get something to eat, hope it's not made of people." I said, walking to the door. I stopped as I felt all their eyes on me, " It's just a joke. I mean this can't be that hospital can it?' I said nervously. " I'd better go with you then." Sam said, following me out the room. The basment of the hospital was clean, nothing dirty about it and yet something inside me felt an unresistable urge to bolt from the room. I clutched the vending machine taco, trying to grab the food on the counter. " Sam." I asked. " Yeah." he said, looking around. " Something bad is about to happen isn't it?" I asked, scared of the answer. Then the lights flickered on and off and at the end of the hall I saw some...thing. " Run!" Sam said, grabbing my arm and dragging me away, causing me to drop all my food! Once we got to the stairs I panicked. " IS that the thing that almost killed you?! Wait, we shouldn't use the stairs! Or the elevator!" I said, realizing how stupid I sounded. " Sorry, nevermind." I said, opening the door and climbing the steps. Once we got to the top of the steps, Sam opened the door and left, while something grabbed me and I flew into the wall and down the steps! Sam tried to open the door, but it was no use and the lights began to go off one by until there was one light on, the light above me. I stood under the light, waiting for whatever it was to come for me. I walked a little away from the light and I saw some yellow eyes. " What do you want from me?!" I asked it. I felt my mind tingle...images of John, Sam, and Dean flashed brilliantly in my head; " You're him...or it." i said, realizing that I could die right here. It didn't talk to me, but I knew what it would say...it was like a connection, but that connection was broken when the door burst open and Sam and John pulled me out into the shining lights of the 5th floor. " Are you okay?" Sam asked, his hands gripping my face. " Yeah, but...We've gotta be careful." I said, tears beginning to form inside my eyes. They picked me up and helped me back to the room, but when I looked back, I could have sworn I saw it...
