Author's note: Ok, so I've got a thing for Blake Lewis on American Idol, imagine him as the actor for Mickie. OMG Blake Lewis is so sexy. Chapter 11: Who's your Daddy As the rig slowed to a stop, I found myself questioning my own sanity. I promptly thanked the trucker and hopped out, onto the street. When the rig drove off, I felt the distinct feeling of fear shooting through my body. The sensation made me shiver and I looked around. There were kids playing and it held the appearance of Wisteria Lane. Cars slowed as they passed to see who I was and why I'd shown up at the house in the middle of the day. I walked to the porch and looked around, trying to remember where I hid the hide-a-key. It was a while ago and I thought back to the day I left. It was raining that day and I had just buried my father. Seemed only appropriate that it rain when you bury your last blood-relative. Not a cause for celebration. I sat in my room, iPod blasting the saddest song I'd ever heard. I was so wrapped up I didn't hear the door open and someone. " Chalis." John said, making me jump. I paused my iPod and looked at him, " Uncle John? What is it?" I asked. " I just came to see if you were okay after your father's death and what happened at the funeral." he trailed off. " I'm good." I said carefully. " Have you given any thought to what you're gonna do now?" he asked. I frowned, " No. I kinda hope dad walks through the door at any moment. I gave up on mom, but...he was the only thing I had." I said, feeling very unstable. " I want you to come with me and my sons, Sam and Dean, you remember them, right? It's been a while." he asked, as if I was two. " I remember them" I said quietly. John sat next to me on the bed, " It's not safe here. We leave tonight." he said. I nodded and immediately began throwing my clothes and all my things in a suitcase. I remember it clearly. The feelings, the hope, the unrealistic feeling of death emanating from request. I felt secure. There with John, he was my blanky. Haven't felt that in a while. I was snapped back into reality when I found myself in my room, sitting on the bed. It was like I had just appeared there, but in reality I had been on autopilot. I slid the key in, and locked the door behind me. I let me bags drop to the ground and climbed the stairs, getting to my stuff. That's how I got to my room. I stood and headed to the kitchen, determined to make some kind of dinner. Luckily, everything was as I left it, untouched. I stirred the pot, the ingredients bubbled and fizzed until I put the lid over the pot. My mind wondered through the already known facts and I thought about my old life and my old friends and what would happen if I decided to stay here. That would mean I'd have to live, though. I heard the creak at the stairs and lef the pot to investigate the noise. I went upstairs and entered my bedroom. The window was opened, but I don't remember having the window open. I slammed it and locked it, turning to find myself face to face with Andrew. " Hello, lover." He said, flashing his fangs. I gasped and pressed my back against the wall, " I was wondering when you'd show." I quivered. He smiled and sniffed me, " Why so scared? You're not afraid of me, right?" he asked, again flashing his fangs. " Naw, just wondering how fast you'd fall." I said, kicking him in the chest, and causing him to roll out of the room! " Awww, why you gotta be like that?" he smiled, wiping the blood from his lip and sucking it off his hand. I lunged at him and we fell backwards down the stairs and came to a thud at the bottom of the stairs. I rolled over, trying to regain some momentum, but he pulled me back down. I jabbed him in his stomach and he yelped and let go of me. " Truce." he said, obviously in pain. I smiled and panted, " Now that's what I like to hear. Besides, I have a few questions." I said, gesturing to the kitchen, " I need to check on dinner." I said, walking over to the pot and looking inside, then I sat directly across from him and stared right into his eyes, not truly caring that he could have ripped out my throat and handed it to me. At the moment I was pissed and I needed an outlet. " So, what's the question?" he smirked. I smirked, " Andy, Andy, Andy...I wanted to know what the secret is about me. I know you know." I said simply. His face went flushed, or more flushed, " I have no idea what you're talking about." he said cautiously. My smirk faded and was replaced by my stone face, " I think you do. You see, the demon world is, scary, among other things and there is secrets. Sam has one too, but that's not the one I want to hear about." I said quickly, " i need to know what it is." " What what is?" he asked. I pulled out a cross and threw it to him and he caught it. It took a few seconds before he noticed the pain and I chuckled, " I'm not gonna ask again." He looked at me as if I had comletely lost my mind, " You've completely lost your mind." he said. " Maybe, but I'm not gonna ask again." I repeated. I reached down for a bottle of holy water, " Alright, I'll tell you!" he pleaded, " You are a warrior. A destined hunter. Given powers to hunt." he said finally. I twitched, " Like Buffy?" I asked curiously. " NO! Or, yes. Most slayers are women, so no. That would make you the first male slayer, and so not gonna happen. Plus, Buffy is made up." he explained, " Love the show, but slaying is different. You would be the only warrior in histroy. A true instrument for evil...or, you know, good." he smirked. " Gonna need more than that. So, why haven't I heard of that and where's my old british guy?" I asked. " Buffy's the Hollywood thing, plus you're not the warrior as of yet, but you bare the mark of the warrior." he explained. " Which Warrior?" I asked. " The warrior." He said. " So, what about the powers? Strength, agility, and prophetic dreams...wait, I have those." I said quickly. " Don't you ever think about us?" he asked dreamily. I smiled, " They have books on this right? A manual of some sort. Like Hunters diaries?" I asked. He frowned, " Did you hear my question?" he asked. I walked over to the stove and pulled the pan off the stove, " I heard you and eternal life was never appealing, but I peel." I said, throwing the pot full of hot holy water at him! He burned and ran out of the house, " No goodbye? Rude guest." I chuckled. I am totally crazy. I like it. I walked back to the living room and sat on the couch, watching tv. Apparently, Gilmore Girls was better than the last time I watched it. I eventually found some repeats of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' on and I watched the drama unfold. I found myself depressed by her constant sacrifices. I wouldn't go through that, except the part where a hot vampire starts making out with me, but even then I'd have to stake his undead ass. I switched the tv off and walked back upstairs to watch a double feature called, " The Back of my eyelids". " Warrior" I chuckled, laying back on my bed. I tried to sleep, I was sleepy, but I couldn't go. Something was calling me to my father's room. I slipped out of bed and crept to his room. I stopped at the cracked door and tried to peek in. It was the only thing that had changed, when I left, I had locked it. I walked in the room and was immediately drawn to the bed, ironic, huh? I felt something telling me to move the bed and I strained to push it a few inches. I paused as I saw something...scary. A book. =========================================================================================================================== The book was a diary. A diary keep by my dad, who apparently knew what I was supposed to be. He didn't tell me because he planned to take me away from all of this. He was planning on us leaving. Twisted, definitely. Once I read the first page, the rest was a breeze. I guess I was there for hours reading because when I looked up again, it was daylight. I frowned and looked back at the clock, which read 8:15 a.m. on the clock. I grunted and closed the book, walking to my room and picking through my clothes. When I finally found an outfit, I left the house to get some things. I was about to go when my cell phone rang and I answered it. " Hello." I said opening the door. " Hi." Dean's voice came through the phone, " Where are you?" I stopped in my tracks, " Who wants to know." I asked calmly. " this is no time for games! Where are you?" he asked forcefully. " Not sure I should tell you." I said, looking out onto the neighborhood. Dean grunted, " Look, Sam's disappeared and I need to find him. I found him in...a place. Long story that involves everyone disapearing from a town, but after that, we vanished." he explained. " Not my problem, at least not anymore." I said. " What? Listen, I know you're mad and all, but Sam vanished." Dean said in disbelief. " I got my own demons to deal with." I let slip. " What do you mean? What's going on?" he asked. " Nothing, I gotta go, I've got errands to run." I smiled into my cell. I hung up and shut the door behind me, then slowly walked down the street, trying hard not to let my nervousness show. I went a lot of places, then I finally wound up at the grocery store, picking up essentials. " Toothpaste, soap, and Captian Crunch...Good wholesome diet." Mickie's voice said, causing me to whirl around. " Mickie!" I said, hugging him. He was taller than I remembered, more muscular. He was a dead ringer for that guy from American Idol...Blake Lewis? Yeah, he'd definitely gotten hotter. The letterman jacket spoke up too. " When did you get back?" he asked, looking down at me, " I have't seen you since the funeral." I gave a weak smile, " Yeah. I left, but I'm back now. So, what you been up to?" I asked excitedly. " Got a job, joined the football team, and found myself." he said quickly, " How about you?" I walked further down the isle, " Left only to get owned by And....ex, an ex and meet and break up with a new guy in less than a six months." I smiled, " So, the football team?" Mickie laughed, " So his loss. You're still hot." he said, licking his lips and checking me out, " One might think you were unhappy." he finished. " One would be right." I said, looking off into space, " You said you found yourself, what does that mean?" I asked. Mickie raised his eyebrow, " you waste no time getting to the point." he smiled, " Just like old times." " I am what I am...in a totally non-Popeye way." I chuckled. " Got it. So, this guy, does he own a name?" Mickie asked. " Not sure he owns it, but it's complicated. That's why we broke up, there was this thing with his brother and a crush..." I said sheepishly. " Did he crush you? (I nodded) Did you crush him back?" Mickie asked. " Yeah." I smiled, " I did, but I was with his brother and I was...his brother was the one." " Was it love?" he asked. " Which one?" I asked. " Both of them." he smirked, walking with me through the checkout counter. Our conversation stopped for a second, allowing me to think about it. Did I love them? I did in a family way, but did I love them in an erotic, sexy way? Yes. No. Things were complicated, for sure. I paid for my things and met Mickie on the other side. Before we said another word, I made us two coffees at the front of the store and quickly gave him on and took the other, " Yes." I said finally, " I loved them both." " Were you happy?" he asked, sipping his coffee. " Yeah." I replied. " Then why'd you leave? Why come back here?" he asked. I looked up at him, " I had business to take care of. Andrew..." I started. "...is dead." Mickie said quickly. "...this town is dead and I know it. I know you're pretty dead too." I said, causing him to stop. I smiled at him and he leaned down and kissed me. I leaned against the wall, savoring his kisses. His tongue washed over mine and made its way down to my neck, then he stopped, " That's why I put a little extra love in your coffee." I said, showing him the holy water vial. " You know?" he asked. " What happened?" I asked sadly. Mickie sighed, " One night about four months after you left, Andy came to me...Apparently he came to our Franny and she declined. I accepted and soon things began to happen. The town went to hell." he explained. I sighed, " I came back to save myself. I could give a shit about this town, but me? Hey, that's an investment." I said, not moving a muscle in my face, " The big army that's coming, you'll be dead by then." He stumbled back, " Your house is the center of the evil things. It's the Ev in Evilness. Never thought you'd kill a friend." he said, choking. I frowned and watched him choke, " Andrew was betting on me not killing you, too. But what he doesn't understand is that you have to let go of the past." I smirked, ' I'm already missin you." I said, not bothering to watch him disentegrate. ==================================================================================================================== I smirked as I walked home in the dark. I kicked a can, thinking about Mickie and how I had to...kill him. Was it like this? I thought Mickie was...my last link to me. He was my best friend. He was my first crush...my first kiss, even if it was just to 'explore'. I watched those same happy houses frin earlier with the kids and the parents and the happiness. They were inside now, still happy and it was odd. Happy here all the time. I stopped in just enough time to see a black car sitting in front of my house. Dean leaned over the Impala, frowning. " Cute car." I smiled nervously. " Get in the car." he said calmly. " Tch, tch, tch...you're not even gonna offer me candy?" I said, trying to make him grin at least. He sighed loudly and stood upright, " Sam's in trouble. I'm not sure where he is, but trouble is sure to follow." he said angrily. I nodded, " I agree with the rhymes, but I can't go." I said with certainty in the statement. He chuckled, " No, really, get in the car." he said, walking over and grabbing my arm. I struggled against him, " I can't, Dean. You don't get it! I can't. You and Sam are born hunters...I'm not." I said uncertainly. " What do you mean by that?" Dean huffed. " I think you know, don't you?" I asked, " You know Sam's secret, and you know me." I said happily. Dean put his head down, " You figured it out?" he asked. " No. Not all of it. It'd be nice if you'd told me that I was a...a...meant to help the world on a larger scale." I frowned. ' we have to go now." he said quickly. I shook my head, " I can't. It's here" I said. Dean groaned and threw his hands up, gesturing wildly into the neighborhood, " What could possibly be here?!" he asked. " The answer." I replied, " My dad knew and the answer is in the house. I can't help you with the finding of Sam, I need a bit more time here." " So, if I come back after I get Sam..." he began. " I'll be ready." I answered, leaning forward and kissing him. I stopped and looked at him, then kissed him again, " Be careful. I'd tell you to pass one on to Sam, but eww, don't." I smiled. " yeah, something I don't feel like sharing." he smiled, leaing in to kiss me again. He leaned back against the hood of the car and I crawled on top of his and the car, kissing him passionately. I stopped as I saw neighbors at their windows. I jumped off of the hood, " I can help you a little. He's at the hotel. The Blue Rose." I said, walking back up to the house. He chuckled and climbed in the car, "Damn." he said loudly, speeding away.
