If gay sex is illegal in your area, or you're under the age of consent in your area, or you just flat out don't like queer sex (what the hell would you be at this site for?) then go away. Comments, questions, and ideas welcome and appreciated, and will be responded to. Please put 'Nifty' in the subject line so I know it's not spam. OK, I usually take this time to suggest a few series on the Nifty site, but his time I'm only gonna suggest one. It's an awesome story called A Studio In The Country, in the boybands section. Now, as funny as this story is, and as great the storytelling (both of which are very true) I send out this plea: Would the author of that story, Michael Washere, get off his ASS and update it! You owe us Chapter 20, and you hinted at a second part of the series that included *NSync!! Get witht the posting, man! That said... Thanx, and enjoy. Christian Email to gaiasdruid@aol.com Group Dynamics-Chapter 13 The "meeting" took place the next afternoon in our suite. We sat around, chatting amicably amongst ourselves about nothing of importance while we waited for the girls to arrive. Matt and I refused to explain what the meeting was for, preferring to wait until everyone was there before we played the tape. A little before the appointed time, Kelly and Rachael came waltzing in, giggling like pre-pubescent girls. "What are you two so giggly about?" Jude asked them as they joined us in the living room. "We just saw a fight," said Kelly. "Yeah, those damned seniors are fighting each other," added Rachael. "Who was fighting?" Matt asked them, glancing at me meaningfully. "Jeff and David," said Kelly. "They were screaming at each other and calling each other names," she giggled. "like a couple of elementary school kids." "What? I wonder what put a bee in their bonnets," Ryan mused out loud. "Probably the fact that Jeff happens to wear a bonnet," I quipped, smirking slightly. "Huh?" Josh asked, "Come again?" "You'll see," said Matt. He looked around at everyone. "We've got a new development to consider." "A new one?" Jude said, sounding exasperated. "What the hell did those fucks do now?" "Well, maybe you should just see for yourselves," I said, nodding to Matt. Matt grinned and hit the power on the remote, turning on both the TV and the VCR. Seven pairs of eyes stayed locked on the screen for the entire half-hour. Occasionally, I would glance around and look at the others, and I swear none of the ever blinked for the half-hour show. On top of that, there were noticeable bulges growing in the crotches of the guys, and I swear I saw Kelly sliding her hand over her clothed crotch. We watched the screen go dark, and there was a collective "Oh, my God!" from the assembled audience. Rachael was the first to break the stunned silence. "Those fucking hypocrites! Ganging up on us when one of their own is gay." I shook my head. "No, Rach, think about it. They're still following their attitudes to a T. They're so hateful of gay people that they'll turn on any queer, even one of their own. You saw the way that Todd turned on Jeff." "And don't forget that Jeff never did attack us," Matt added. "He's always been nice to us. More so than an RA really has cause to." "He knew I was gay. I'm sure Todd told him about my `confession' at orientation. He was probably nice to us for the very reason the others were vicious to us." "Add to that the fact that Kelly said something at orientation as well, and then we all closed ranks around you guys," Josh said, "he probably felt it he needed to be nice to balance out the flak he knew we were in for. "OK, so this begs the question: What do we do about this? Do we use this information, and if so, how?" Ryan asked. "Well, I think we should just leave it be," I said. "We can't let Jeff know we were spying on him." "You're kidding, right?" Jude exclaimed. "This is the best advantage we've ever had in this little dispute! An ally on the inside." "So, what? You wanna use him?" I asked. I shook my head in disgust. "As I said last night, that would make us no better than them." I looked at Josh and smiled. "I won't be party to that. I like Jeff. I'm not gonna use him, no matter what the benefits." "Luke, none of us want to use him," Kelly said in a reasoning voice, "but you have to admit that this is information that we can't just ignore. The least we should do is talk to him about it and see if he'd willingly help us. If only to give us the heads up on what the rest of the assholes are planning." "Kelly, c'mon. I see the obvious advantage, but you guys are forgetting something. Jeff is no longer in Todd's good graces. He's not gonna be in the loop anymore, so it's all a moot point." "True, but he could let us know what they had planned before this, when he was still `in the know'," said Ryan, "It could at the very least give us an idea of how they're thinking. That could give us the knowledge we need to anticipate their next moves, as well as plan our own." "Plus, now that he's on the outs with Todd, he's most likely about to become as much a target as we are," added Jude. "That's true, guys," Rachael said, her face going dark. "We should at least offer him our friendship. Us queer and queer wanna-be's need to look out for each other." "OK, I'll grant you that," I conceded, "but that still doesn't answer the question on how we're supposed to approach him without telling him we were spying on him." We were silent for a while, each of us thinking of possible solutions to out problem. I sat on the couch, holding Josh in my arms as he lay back against my chest, my hands idly caressing his chest and stomach. He felt so good there. I knew I was falling for him. I just didn't know how he felt. A lot of things have changed since the first time we talked about me being gay. He said he had never done anything with a guy but said he wasn't "adverse to the notion". My, but we've come a long way. He even turned out to be more of a bottom than I am, the only avowed homosexual of the group. Funny, that. I squeezed him tightly, the thoughts running through my brain giving me a warm feeling throughout my body. Josh twisted his head back and smiled at me. I looked down at him, trying to convey the love I was beginning to feel for him, but was unable to articulate yet. Josh gazed into my eyes for a few seconds and the stretched his neck up to bring his lips to mine in a soft, gentle kiss. It wasn't a kiss of passion, just an acknowledgement of the closeness that we were sharing. God, but I was so glad I had friends like these. Suddenly, the answer popped into my head. Friends. That's what we were. That's what Jeff needed. We could just be his friends, show him that our love for each other makes us stronger as a group, and thereby as individuals. We'd win him over by example. I looked at the others, excitement evident on my face. "I've got it!" I was nervous. It's one thing to have the idea, but it was another thing entirely to be the one chosen to put it into practice. I stood in front of Jeff's door, fidgeting, stalling myself. I knew we needed this. I knew Jeff needed this, which is why I thought it was such a great solution. But, he was a senior. The other RA's have been his closest friends for four years. It was going to be hard for him to go along with this, even if he liked the idea in principle. With a sigh, knowing that I was just delaying the inevitable, I raised my hand to rap my knuckles against Jeff's door. The door popped open before I could even touch it. Jeff's boyfriend stood there, jacket in hand, the pissed look that was on his face melting away to one of surprise upon seeing someone blocking his obviously angry exit. I stood there for a moment, my hand still poised to knock, before lowering it sheepishly and clearing my throat. "Um, hi. Is Jeff here?" I asked, feeling silly. I noticed a tightening in Jason's eyes. "Yeah," he answered me shortly, "he's right here." He stood aside to allow me to enter. With a final angry glance at Jeff, he stormed out the door, letting it slam behind him. Jeff sat on his couch in the living room, looking after his boyfriend (can I say that for sure?) with an expression of hurt on his face. He sighed heavily, and then seemed to notice me for the first time. I watched his face undergo a drastic transformation as his eyes shifted over to where I was standing by the door. The sad, hurt look melted away, replaced by the neutral, blank expression he had taken to wearing around me and my friends. In the past, I dismissed that look as just being a senior looking at freshmen he thought beneath him. Now I interpreted that look differently. He was trying not to show how much he sympathized with us. He knew the stuff we were going through, and didn't approve of it, but, until yesterday, hadn't been in a position to be able to say anything. He was blanking out now from habit. It was time to change that. "Hello, Luke," he said with a tightly constrained voice. "What can I do for you?" "Hey, Jeff," I said, walking away from the door. I moved over to the couch and sat down next to him. He unconsciously moved away from me slightly. This wasn't gonna be easy. "I wanted to talk to you," I continued. `Okay, breathe deep, I told myself, just say it.' "I've got a problem that I was wondering if you could give me some advice on. I remember hearing that you RA types were supposed to be good at dispensing advice," I added with a grin. He smiled back, the first hint of emotion I've seen him direct at me since the beginning of the semester. "I don't know about being good at it," he said, "but I'm willing to give it a go. What's up?" "Well, um, it's kind of delicate," I was stalling, I know. "See, well, the thing is, I'm, um, well, I'm gay." I looked at him, trying to judge his reaction. His face remained smooth and calm, revealing nothing. I took a deep breath and continued. "OK, since you're not running screaming from the room, I'll assume you're at least okay enough with this to listen to my problem." "I've got no problems with you being gay, Luke. I'm gay too." Wow. That was easy. Okay, maybe this won't be as difficult as I thought. "Really," I said, feigning surprise, "I had no clue. Well, this makes talking to you easier. OK, so this is kind of a personal problem. It, um, deals with a few of my friends." He nodded slightly, encouraging me to continue. "Well, see, the thing is, you know my suite mates, right? Well, um, the past few months, we've all gotten kind of close," I coughed delicately, "I, ah, mean real close." He stared at me blankly for a moment, and then his eyes widened in understanding. God, I hoped I was right about him, because I was putting my friends at risk here. Jeff looked like he was having trouble speaking. "All...all...ALL of you?!?!" he exclaimed. "Um, yeah, well some more than others," I smiled ruefully. "Hot as they all are, it's not always a constant orgy up there. Some nights we even study." He laughed, his eyes twinkling. He was warming up to me, and I was feeling more and more comfortable around him. "OK, so what's the problem?" "Well, the problem is that my suite mates aren't exactly `out', if you know what I'm getting at. I mean, I am. I have been for years. But my friends aren't. Well, anyway. People around campus seem to know about me. I never really made my orientation a secret, and it doesn't bother me that people know. But someone has begun playing pranks on me and my friends. On all of us. And making anti-gay slurs, as well. While I don't like the pranks and comments, I kind of expect them coming against me. One of the dangers of being gay and out, I guess. But the guys aren't used to them. "So, we were wondering if there was something we could do to get them to stop. Things are kind of getting out of hand, and I'm afraid one of my friends is going to get hurt. I love my friends a lot, and I'm afraid something bad is gonna happen to them, just because they're friends with me," I paused. Next came the real make or break revelation. "We think the other RA's are the ones that are going after us." I was watching his face as I spoke, trying to gauge his reaction. His face went from neutral, to concerned, to angry, to chagrin. By the time I was finished talking, he had gotten up and was pacing the floor of his suite. He paced quietly for a few moments more, and then turned to look at me, his face a mask of determination. "Luke, I'm ashamed to say I knew about these pranks," he began. "I know who's doing them, and why. To confirm your suspicions, yes, it is the other RA's. Todd is a homophobic bastard, and a hypocritical one at that." Jeff joined me back on the couch before he continued. "When we were freshmen, he was my suite mate. We became really good friends. Until something happened. "We fooled around once, after a night of heavy drinking. Fooled around is probably too simple a word. We did everything. He even gave me a knob job, and let me fuck him. It was one of the hottest fucks I'd ever had; feeling his ass wrapped around my dick, and then later feeling him buried deep inside of me. We didn't just fool around that night, we made love. We fell asleep in each other's arms. It was so calm and peaceful. But the peace didn't last. "He went into a panic the next morning when he woke up to find himself naked, spooned up behind me with his dick still buried in my ass. I let him believe that we had just been `experimenting' because we were drunk and horny. Yes, we had been drinking, but there's no way you can call all the stuff we did to each other that night experimentation. He wanted it as bad as I did, but was too terrified of being identified as gay. "So, we never spoke about it again. He went on to assume that it was just a mistake, that it was something every straight guy did at one point. I never told him what that night meant to me, that it wasn't just a drunken night of college fun, like it was for him. See, I knew I was gay. But after the way he reacted, I knew I could never tell him that. And I never did. He never found out. Until yesterday." I knew what had happened yesterday; I had seen the video footage, after all. I couldn't tell Jeff that, but the fact that he was gonna tell me what happened was going to make my task that much easier. "The guy that answered the door was my boyfriend Jason." He went on. "I met him a year and a half ago, but we've only been dating for eight months." He smiled fondly. "He's a hot looking fucker," I said with a grin. "Yeah, he is," he said smiling back. Then his face clouded over. I was noticing that Jeff had a very expressive face. He'd make a lousy poker player, I thought. "He was here yesterday," he went on. "It was our monthly anniversary. We made love, and as usual, it was hot and erotic and completely satisfying. We were in that `afterglow' stage, just relaxing in each other's embrace, when the unthinkable happened. Todd walked in on us. "I hadn't even heard him enter the suite, but he just stormed into my bedroom, his mouth going on about some trip or other that he wanted to take. He saw us there, naked, sweaty, and covered in cum, our limbs entwined with each other. Needless to say, his reaction was not positive. The thing he had been avoiding, pushing away, trying to deny was suddenly thrust into his face. He couldn't just laugh it off and forget about it, like I think he would have done if he'd been alone. But he wasn't alone. Dave was with him. So Todd had to play tough, or come off as seeming gay himself. "And that's what he did. He attacked me, verbally, mind you, but viciously. He called me all sorts of horrible names, berating me for being a fag, a cocksucker. I was stunned at first. I mean, this guy was my best friend! But he attacked me like I was a nobody to him. When he finally stormed out, I lost all control of my emotions. He had hurt me deeper than he probably thought he could. Jason held me for a while, trying to comfort me, but then had to leave to go back to base. He's a military man," he added with a grin. "Well, all day today, I thought about what had happened, and how I had lived these last four years lying to myself and my friends. Well, not really to myself. I knew I was queer. But I had been lying to my friends. I couldn't help but think that if I'd been honest with Todd from the beginning, what he saw wouldn't have shocked him so bad. I'm convinced that it was a knee jerk reaction. If he'd known all along, this wouldn't have been a problem. "So, I told Jason today that I wanted to come out of the closet, all the way. I want to tell all my friends that I'm gay, and that I'm in love with a wonderful man, who loves me more than life itself. But Jason doesn't want me to say anything. He's military, and he's terrified that if I come out to everyone on campus, that it would get back to his C.O. on base. There are a lot of Marines from his base that come here, both as students themselves, or as guests of other students. He's afraid if I come out, I'll inadvertently out him as well, since everyone knows that we hang around together all the time." Jeff stood up and began pacing again. "I understand his fear, but I just can't hide who I am anymore. I don't want to. That's why he left so upset. He was still trying to change my mind." Throughout his tale, I stared transfixed at him, in wonder that there was so much more to the story then what my suitemates and I had surmised. I knew what he was going through. Hadn't I agonized over the same question myself time and time again? I shook myself. Back to the matter at hand. "Jeff, my friends and I would be honored to be the first friends that are in the know," I said, rather formally. I grinned. "Being gay is actually a plus with our little family." "I'd like that," he said with a grateful smile. "Does this mean I'm invited to your next orgy?" I laughed. "It means you're the guest of honor at our next party," I grinned evilly. "Of course, this means that you're the table that we eat off of." "Hmmm, sounds hot. OK, deal!" "You may not be so enthusiastic once you see Matt naked. He's a big boy; big enough to scare even the most experienced queer." "If that piece of information was meant to deter me, it failed," he paused for minute, his expressive face turning serious once again. "Luke, um, there are some things that I need to warn you about. There are some things that Todd and the others are planning to do to you, and I don't want them to get away with it anymore." "The heads up will be appreciated. Come on upstairs and meet the rest of your new family. We'll see if we can't put your information to use as a deterrent." I gave him another sly grin. "Besides, if they don't stop, you're more than welcome to help us come up with ways to retaliate," I added. He gave me a cherubic smile. I shuddered. The last time that grin was seen, it was on the face of Lucifer just before he took his big dive. Methinks this forebodes bad tidings for the RA's. My answering grin was just as beatific. Let them come. We had our secret weapon. TBC
