We were just asked to find you and see you to the deans office." "Go with them Aiden, we'll be waiting outside for you." Aiden got in the car and Gordon and I booked it on foot over to the admin building. About 10 minutes later Aiden came out looking rather glum. "Talk to me lover." "Angus had some kind of a heart incident. They don't know exactly what yet Gordon. Mom didn't want me alone when she told me. Guess she forgot we're pretty much inseperable." "So what's the plan Aiden?" "Nothing for now Den. It's no secret that there really isn't any love loss between me and my stepdad. If he should pass I'll of course be there for mom." "Don't go getting out the black suit yet Aiden. Heart medicine has come a long way." "Yeah I know. Mom said his prognosis is good, whatever the hell that means." "It means they think he will be fine." "We'll see Gordon." "You need anything you know where to find me Aiden." "I do thanks Denny." I walked back to Cochran hall with the guys and then headed home. "Thought you would have gotten here ahead of me today Den." "Probably would have, but Aiden got called to the deans office." I gave him the details while supper was being prepared. "So what's the plan?" "Right now, sit and wait." "Worst thing happens we heading out with him?" "Going to have to play that one by ear I think. If there's an all day practice or a meet, well I'll have a hell of a decision to make." "I'm betting the coach would understand." "So am I but I'd really hate to miss a meet and have them loose, and yeah I know that makes me sound pretty damn egotistical." "Yeah it does a little Den, but I think your not being there would have an effect on the team regardless, and not a good one." "Worry about it if it happens. Let's eat." Supper was soon done with and I reviewed the material for classes tomorrow before we crashed for the night. Friday morning and the routine continued as usual. Aiden didn't have any kind of update for us this morning. Soon enough we were home, showered, fed and out the door for the day. Classes were pretty uneventful and I was home before Karl today. I got supper going and it was ready when Karl rolled in a bit later. We crashed in front of the tv for the evening and headed to bed by 11. Saturday morning dawned and we were out of the house and getting our laps done. Aiden still didn't have any news for us. I grabbed breakfast at the cafeteria today as I was headed over to the rec center for a work out. The apparatus room was open early today so I headed in there. I wasn't to surprised to find Greg and Josh in there, along with about half the team, working out as well. I went and changed up and came out and stretched before I headed over to the pommel horse as there wasn't anybody using it at the moment. Once I had worked the horse for a while, I headed over to the floor area and worked my routine there for a while. It being an open practice I stuck to the doubles today. I got to work my rings routine and the high bar and then called it a day. I changed up and went to do my laps and then into the whirlpool. I was home before noon and Karl had his nose buried in a book. "Anything to report lover?" "Nope didn't even see the guys at the rec center this morning. I'm sure if there is any change we'll hear about it." "Yeah probably. So we staying in tonight or what?" "What, you wanting to go to Paladins again?" "No Den, just thinking about eating out tonight and maybe stopping by Wally World for a few things." "Sounds like a plan. The Asian buffet?" "Works for me lover." The rest of the afternoon was taken up by school work and a bit of housework as well. The laundry didn't do itself afterall. Along about 6 we rolled on out to the buffet. We didn't happen to see anyone that we knew, which waas fine. We had a quiet dinner and then headed over to Wally Wold for the few tings we needed at the house. We were home fairly early and crashed in front of the tv until bedtime. Sunday morning and we were at it again. When we got to Cochran hall and the guys came out, Aiden still didn't have any kind of an update for us. So it was laps run and Karl and I were back to the apartment for showers and breakfast. The day was pretty uneventful and the Paul and Cam finally rolled in. Karl and I were quickly downstairs and helping get things ready. The guys both seemed to be in a much better mood today and the conversation around the table was light. When everything was said and done the guys just heaed back to campus and we headed upstairs. We crashed early tonight and took our time pleasuring each other before we finally fell asleep. Monday morning and it was raining so I texted the guys that we'd see them tomorrow and rolled over for another hour of just dozing. Karl and I finally got up and had breakfast and once showered headed out to classes. There were a few people who either didn't have or negelected to use their umbrellas today. By the time I had my long break between classes the sun was out. As usual i had gotten a sandwich from the Student Union and was sitting outside. Aiden and Gordon came by between classes and Aiden told me there wasn't any news to be had on the stepdad front. I got over to my Risk Rewards class and once it was over I headed home. Tomorrow was a scheduled practice. Once home I started our supper and Karl rolled in not looking to happy. "What's up lover?" "Nothing you can do anything about Den. One of the profs asked me to be his student aide." "Isn't that a good thing?" "Yeah I suppose, but it will take up a lot of time, time I don't want to give up." "So you thank him very much and say no." "Except he doesn't like hearing no." "Would he mess with your grades for it?" "I doubt that, but on any exam with an essay he could well take an opposing view, which he has every right to do." "And you'd have no appeal on something like that." "Not really." "Rock and a hard place lover. If you really think he would be on your case, take the job and we'll just have to treasure what time we do have together." "You sure Den?" "I'm sure. We'll survive." "I've still got my doubts about this Den." "So when do you have to decide by?" "End of the week." "So sleep on it for a while." "Yeah I guess I can." We had our supper shortly thereafter and though there wasn't any sex, we did cuddle for the rest of the night. Tuesday dawned bright so we were out the door and over for our jogging with the guys. Again Aiden didn't have any updates for us. Karl and I were soon enough back to the apartment and Karl was off to class. I hung out for a while and reviewed my imaginary portfolio as today I was scheduled for my class review. I eventually headed into the one class and had my review and then was on my way over to the rec center. It was a closed practice today so when I went to do each of my routines I threw the triple dismounts and landed them all pretty solidly. While I wasn't working out myself I was watching the other guys. Everybody seemed to be on their game. I headed for the pool and found Aiden and Gordon there. "Any news since this morning Aiden?" "Yeah they sent dad home a little while ago. He's got a visiting nurse taking care of him." "How's your mom holding up?" "Pretty good if you believe her. She says she's going to stop in and see dad a few hours a week. She doesn't have that much time once she's done with work." "Well hang in and let me know what's happening." "You know it Den." I got my laps in and then hit the whirlpool. I showered up and called Karl and let him know I was on my way home. "Anything exciting happen today love?" "Not a damn thing, which by my thinking makes it a good day. Aiden did say his dad is home but not much else." "I suppose that's a good thing." I picked up the snail mail that was sitting on the counter and started going through it. There was another piece from the District Court. "Now what?" "Den?" "Something from the District Court at home." I opened the letter and read. It was just an acknowledgement that I was released from jury duty for just cause. "Just letting me off the hook for jury duty." We shortly had supper and settled into a little book work and thena little relaxation before we crashed. Hump day ad we were out and had our run with the guys and were soon enough back home showered and fed and out the door. Investment Vehicle finall got around to commodities. This was an area I was particularly weak in so I paid extra close attention. Then it was on to the class on investment taxation with Mr McEmbers. He stopped me before I left. "Seems your friend had quite the evening for himself." "Heck if I know. I didn't see him before he left. I just hope the guy he was with doesn't let it get around too much." "I doubt that will happen Den. I just heard him talking to the guys. Now go on and get out of here." I headed out to the Student union again and grabbed a sandwich and was outside. Pete and susan stopped by today. "Hey Den,What's going on with Aiden? He hasn't had much to say the last week." "His stepdad had some kind of coronary incident. He was in the hospital for a few days, but is home now." "Damn and he didn't say a thing. Guess I'll have to go down and talk to him later." "I wouldn't push him Pete. If he wanted to you to know I'm sure he would have said something." "I suppose so. We got to get to class. Later." "Later." I eventually went to me class and then headed home. I stopped to get the daily snail mail, and there was a big manila envelope in the mix.
