"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen; thank you for inviting WECU News into your homes with tonight's evening news."

"The best way to begin tonight is to say, "They're back!" Drs. Jaiden and Peyton Riley-Reynolds completed their internship in pediatric oncology and pediatric medicine and have returned to the Erie Medical Center to open a northern branch of St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital – and they have hit the ground running, already setting up an at-risk program for Erie's gay youth called "Mariposas Verdes."

"Dr. Jaiden, can you enlighten our viewers on why the name "Mariposas Verdes?"

"Mariposas Verdes means green butterfly. The program is named after a young Columbian boy, Mateo, who committed suicide over his love for a young man named Daniel. Daniel's father couldn't accept that his son was gay and in love with another boy at his elite private school. Because of Daniel's father's actions against Mateo and Daniel, Mateo left notes for various people speaking of the green butterfly and that, like the green butterfly, he would spread his wings and fly. Mateo did just that as he leapt from the roof of the school building, taking his life."

"When I researched the meaning of the green butterfly, as sad as Mateo's demise was, the symbolism he chose was most appropriate given that butterflies symbolize spiritual rebirth; they embrace transformation; elevate hope, and emphasize changes in and of life."

"If you think about human birth and life, a butterfly mirrors the journey babies make from the crib to crawling, then walking, and sprouting their wings as they become independent of the cocoon from which they emerged. The butterfly represents a parallel symbolism to human life."

"The green butterfly, the Mariposas Verdes, represents many things to many cultures: Love and money; encouragement and hope; love and abundance; success and wealth. This program focuses on encouragement leading to hope, love, and abundance in the good things of life that one deserves simply by virtue of being human."

"If you think about it, the green butterfly represents all the virtues of life I have mentioned. For example, when we walk into a forest, we generally think of how beautiful and soothing to the mind and body to be in such a place. We feel a certain freedom in nature that gives us license to roam, to run in search of those things that bring us inner peace and contentment. That inner peace and happiness lead to healing our minds and bodies, ridding us of anxieties and depression."

"If one studies the work of Jacob Oleson, they will learn about an incredible man and expert in colors who can explain how different colors affect the human being."

It's the motivating affect in life that we are looking for in the program; you might say the who, what, where, when, and why of an abused child – gay or not. Judge Jay Stanislauski noted a little over two years ago that the abuse of children in Erie would end, and we aim to help his court in that regard."

"Dr. Jaiden, where might children avail themselves of this program if they are in need?" "Mr. Doyle, they may call the Erie Counseling Center to make an appointment. Parental permission is not needed for the child to be interviewed by a counselor. The interview can take place, in confidence, at the child's school. However, suppose the child can't remember the counseling center. In that case, they may call my office beginning Monday morning. We will get them in touch with an appropriate counselor; school administrative staff may also help the child."   "Dr. Jaiden, Dr. Peyton, thank you for sharing this amazing program with the folks in Erie." Mr. Doyle, thank you for having us."

"Remember, ladies and gentlemen, you first learned of this wonderful program for Erie's at-risk youth on WECU News at 6."

Jaiden's, Peyton's, Dale's, and Charley's phones rang incessantly. People who did not know they had returned to Erie were calling to welcome them home and praise the at-risk children's program, Mariposas Verdes.

Jaiden, this is Mom; congrats on the Mariposas Verdes program." "Surely the newscast wasn't played in Abingdon, Mom." "Oh, but it was, Jaiden, and everybody said to tell you how proud they are of you. The synagogue was abuzz with excitement Saturday, and frankly, I had a lot of fun with the excitement. Then, I went to the country club for lunch, and it seemed like everybody came up to me and spoke highly of you." "I'm glad the news helped make your day; it threw ours into chaos since not everyone knew we were back in Erie. Our phones have been ringing off the hook. Don is running for reelection and called to say thanks for the free advertisement. I think he jumped six points in the polls when he was associated with the program."

Have you spoken with Pete Gray?" "Not yet; I will call him when we hang up. I'm anxious to see the children and see how they have grown and find out how Jason and Ally are doing in school. Jarred, James, and Jonathon should be in kindergarten this year. Also, I should have some previous patients coming in for check-ups that I haven't seen since we were in Memphis. A couple of those patients helped make the four of us famous in Erie." "That should be fun; call and let me know how the first day back goes for Peyton, Richard, and you." "I will, Mom, sleep well tonight!" "Oh, I shall, believe me."

"Peyton, that call was a tad on the strange side." "What do you mean, sweetie?" When I told Mom to sleep well tonight, she said, `Oh, I shall, believe me." "You reckon she's got a boyfriend?" "I have no idea, but I don't know if I like her sleeping with the guy at the house if they aren't married."

"Hypocrite!" "What do you mean by that?" "We slept together in her house before we got married, and we had sex in her home – with her permission, I might add – before we got married. Your mother is a grown woman, and she deserves to have someone hold her, love her, make love to her, and make her happy. So, don't even think of denying her that right and the pleasures that go with it." "Damn you! Why do you always have to be the one to always make sense?" "Maybe because I don't get jealous and out of sorts about certain things – like other people's lives and happiness." "You're right, babe; you always are, thanks." "That's what I'm here for, Jaiden, to complete you in the best way possible." "Well, you do - and always in the most remarkable ways."

Since you have everything off but your briefs, walk to me, baby." "Why, what are you going to do?" "Walk to me, baby."

Peyton walked to Jaiden, who put his hands inside Peyton's briefs on the sides of his hips. He slowly slid Peyton's drawers to the floor and then helped his lover step out of them. Then he pulled Peyton to his chest and began rubbing his back and his butt, squeezing ever so slightly on that incredibly soft area of skin inside the thigh right at the bottom of the mountain's crevasse. He lifted Peyton's cheeks and lightly squeezed them while he moaned in ecstasy

Jaiden softly kissed Peyton and told him how he loved him more each day that passed.   "If Mom has a boyfriend who makes her half as happy as you make me, I can't deny her that happiness. She has done without for so long to make sure I had what I needed – and when I needed it. Mom never bought things frivolously, but I always had what I needed when I needed it. I can guarantee that whatever Mom bought for me was the best of whatever. It's like the car she bought for Dale and Charley; I would never have guessed she would do that, and neither could, or would Dale and Charley; but as she said, they are her boys too, and they would have what they needed as long as she could provide it. And it's like Dell told Mom, he looks good driving the Subaru.

"He really does, Jaiden; you have to admit that. Besides, Dale loves that car almost as much as his children. So, if he decided to get another vehicle, I bet he would get another Subaru Forrester."   "If he didn't, he would surely want to, but I think common sense would overrule that decision. I don't think he would get anything smaller than the Subaru Ascent. The only other car I have heard him mention is the Ford Explorer or van."

"Dang, Jaiden, that felt good; what did you do?" "You mean this?" "Yes, that! It's running me wild; keep doing it." Peyton's breathing reached a crashing crescendo as he released every ounce of spunk he had in him.   "So, Love, you seemed to enjoy that." "Jaiden, that was the most intense orgasm I've ever had; it was incredible." "So, are you telling me you enjoyed that?" "Immensely; damn!" "Wanna do it again, Peyton?" "I don't think I could do it again; look at what I deposited on the bed. I've never unloaded like that." "I'll say; that is a lot. Let me go get a washcloth, clean that up, and then cover it with a towel, so you don't roll over onto a wet spot.

Jaiden got out of bed, walked to the linen closet, and got a fresh towel. Peyton quietly watched as Jaiden walked back to the bed and then told him to get up. Jaiden then laid the towel next to the one he was lying on and told his hubby to lie back down. Finally, Jaiden crawled back into bed, snuggled up to Peyton, and said, "Babe, wouldn't it be nice to get some terry cloth sheets?" "If they make them, it would. Laying on this towel is comfortable, and having this feeling around us would be nice." "I agree; maybe we can look on the Internet to see if we can find terrycloth sheets." "Tomorrow, my dear, I need some sleep right now." Peyton kissed Jaiden, and Jaiden spooned Peyton's back as they fell asleep.

The following morning, Jaiden and Peyton awoke to five little boys getting onto their bed and climbing atop them – at six a.m.!

Jaiden held his most reserved some above him as he said, "Good morning, sweet boy, I love you, and I would love to sleep a few more hours, but I'll get up and help Daddy Peyton fix you some breakfast. What would you like to eat?"

"Daddy, we have some scambul doggy." "What is scambul doggy, Jason?" "Unka Dale fix scambul doggy for lunch las week." Jaiden rolled his eyes as he got out of ben, went to Dale's bedroom, and knocked on the door. Charley yelled, "come in; we're covered up!"

"Dale, what the hell is a scambul doggy?" "Oops! Sorry about that. Jaiden, it's a hotdog wiener in a bun, chopped up, and covered in chili and cheese. The kids don't like raw onions, so I put a little onion powder on each hotdog." "Dale, please warn me next time you prepare something new. Jason just pounced on me in the bed and told me he wanted scambul doggy for breakfast." Thankfully, Jaiden, there are wieners and chili in the fridge. Heat both and put them on a bun with some ketchup and mustard and a sprinkle of onion powder. Sorry, bro; it's a favorite in the deep south."

"OK, Jaiden, what's a scambul doggy?" "It is a chopped-up hotdog covered with chili, mustard, ketchup, cheese, and a sprinkling of onion powder."   "I'm game for trying it if you are, Jaiden." "Peyton, having that for breakfast sounds revolting; should I throw up before or after eating it?" "It's better going down than coming up, so I'd say throw up first and then eat the scrambled doggy." "You would!"

The dads got the scambul doggies prepared for the boys, with the wieners finely minced to prevent the children from choking on the wieners, put their plates in front of them, and then watched as their sons dove into the hotdogs. Peyton took a bite of his scrambled dog and watched Jaiden as he reluctantly bit into his. "I would have never believed it!" "Believed what, Jaiden?" "That scrambled dogs would be good for breakfast; this hot dog is delicious."

Charley walked into the dining room, rubbing his eyes as Jaiden said that. "Jaiden, put some sweet pickle relish on it, and it's even better. Charley walked into the kitchen, got the relish, and handed it to Jaiden. Jaiden put a little bit on one bite of the hotdog and said, "Dang, you're right, Charlie, it is better with the relish. When his boys saw him put the relish on his hotdog, they wanted some. So, Jaiden put a little on their hotdogs and was surprised when they wanted more after tasting the relish."

"This is good, Charley;" why haven't you and Dale mentioned doing this before?" "It may be because we have a health nut in the house that is particular about what he eats." "OK, I plead guilty! It isn't something I would want every day, but every couple of weeks would be good." Dale walked into the dining room and said, "Good. We can have them every couple of weeks with some French fries. I think I'll grill the wieners over some oak charcoal next time; they're even better that way. I like some fries that are creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside, and you cook them in the oven versus in grease, so they're a little healthier than greasy fries."

"Jaiden, if you think the scrambled dogs were good, you should try Cincinnati Chili Size." "OK, Dale, `splain: what is Cincinnati Chili size?" "You take extra lean meat, have it ground, make a lightly seasoned chili, and add a little cinnamon. You serve it over regular spaghetti noodles with chopped onion and extra sharp cheddar cheese. I personally like beans in mine. It's called Chili My Way at Burger Shak." "Isn't that the little hole-in-the-wall restaurant just past the tire store on Boulevard." "That's the one."

"Are they open for dinner, Dale?" "I think so." "Wanna try the Chili dish tonight for dinner?" "I'm game if you and Peyton are – and the red-headed grouch is." "I'm not grouchy, Dale; I just wanted a few more hours of sleep." "We all did, sweetie, but our sperm recipients had other ideas this morning!" "Geez, tell me about it!"

"Charley, look at it this way: breakfast was a bit heavy on the stomach, so maybe the children will go back to sleep for a couple of hours."   "Maybe Hashem will give us that blessing this morning – I sure hope so."

Charley got his wish; the dads noticed a distinct silence not present when the children were awake. With no sign of the children anywhere downstairs, the dads checked their rooms, and the children had gone back to bed and were sleeping hard. Charley looked up and exclaimed, "Thank you, Hashem; I love you too!" The dads went back to bed and got the extra sleep they wanted and needed. This would be one Saturday morning that they would miss services at the synagogue.

When the children finally awoke for the morning, the dads had showered, dressed, and made plans to take the children to the playground at the beach. They didn't tell the babies; they simply got them dressed, into the van, and drove to the playground.

The children were excited when they got to the beach and saw the swings, merry-go-rounds, and slides. Then, when the dads got them out of the van and to the gate to the play area, the babies took off and went wild, having fun. It was a warm day, so the children got pretty sweaty. A couple of the boys had a rank smell, so the dads decided it was time to swim in the lake. They enjoyed watching their babies splashing water everywhere and laughing heartily. They are young dads, professional dads, busy dads, and the one thing every person who ever saw them knows is that they are great dads!

When the children were sufficiently tired and ready to go home, Jaiden drove them to Tony's for a meat pizza and some ice cream for dessert. The children had the best time eating pizza and getting the sauce all over their faces and shirts. Charles Logan was sitting next to Nathan Robert. When Nathan Robert looked away, Charles Logan snatched his piece of pizza. As Nathan Robert turned his head back toward his plate, his mouth went agape when he noticed his pizza was gone. He looked at his brother's plates next to his, and they didn't have any pizza that he could see, so he didn't complain about his missing slice of pizza. Peyton saw what went with Nathan Robert's pizza slice, so he gave his son another piece and watched to make sure his brothers didn't snatch that slice.

Peyton watched Nathan Robert as he ate his pizza and said, "OH, NO!" "Oh. No, what," Jaiden asked.   "Jaiden, our son knows exactly what happened to his food, and I can see the wheels turning in his mind; something is about to happen."   "This has got to be good; I wonder what he is planning?" "I don't know, but get ready." "Charles Logan had to go to the bathroom, so Charley took him. While they were in the men's room, Nathan Robert swapped his empty glass for Charles Logan's full glass of milk and then downed every drop of the milk. Charles Logan was furious when he got back to the table, and he bowed up like he was ready for a fight.

"Daddy, somebody got my milk." "Charles Logan, I wonder who did that." "Nathan Robert did it, Daddy." "Now, how do you know he did that, son?" "He lafin, Daddy." "Why would Nathan Robert drink your milk, Charles?"   "Cause I ate his pizza." "Ah, so your brother paid you back for eating his pizza, didn't he?" "Uh-huh." "So what should you say to each other?" "I sawy, Natan." "I sawy too, Chuk." It was taking all the dads had to not bust out laughing at their two biggest pranksters getting punked by each other.

"Peyton, seeing those two boys punk each other was hilarious." Peyton was laughing, but he could squeak out, "You ain't kidding, Jaiden. I didn't know they could do that. Wait until Mom and Dad find out." "Peyton, you know who it reminded me of?" "Who?" "My mother. I can see her doing that to someone. She has a wicked sense of humor when she is out to get someone for pranking her. I'll call her in a little while and tell her what the boys did to each other." "Call your mom while I'm talking to my Mom so they can't tell each other before we tell them." "Good idea, Peyton."

Jaiden called his mom and told her how the two boys had punked each other, and she laughed hysterically. Peyton's mom got a kick out of the boy's behavior and said it seemed like Peyton's dad when he was pranking Dale's dad as they were growing up. Peyton's dad was another story; he told Peyton he had two Jenny's on his hands and would pray for Jaiden and him – because they would need all the prayers they could get.

"Hey, Peyton! "High, Jenny; I suppose you're calling to rag me about the boys." Now, Peyton, what in the world would make you think that. Is it because Nathan Robert has my genes, Dad's genes, and he loves to prank people as I do?" "Something like that, Jenny. It was hilarious when Nathan and Chuck figured out they had been punked. Charley took Chuck to the bathroom, and while they were gone, Nathan grabbed Chuck's glass of milk, drank every drop, and acted like an innocent when Chuck got back to the table. We laughed until our sides hurt." "Too funny, Peyton; it reminds me of us pranking each other. You would get irritated with me, and I laughed deep inside so you wouldn't get madder. One thing was for sure, though; you always paid me back."

"Jenny, let's hope they don't graduate to more competitive behavior; that would drive us dads nuts, more so than we already are."   "Good luck, Peyton; I love you!" Jenny was laughing her head off as she hung up the phone; she knew Jaiden, Peyton, Charlie, and Dale were in for the journey of a lifetime - and the journey would be on the world's rollercoaster – the biggest one!"

Peyton, did you get the classes you wanted at registration?" "All but one, Jaiden; how about you?" "Same here, but at least we are on our last journey – unless we go for a Ph.D." "Let's cross that bridge when we get there, love." "Yeah, I guess you are right; we may be blessed with a practice that grows so large that we won't have time to get a Ph.D." "If it does, that can only mean one thing: we are the best at what we do." "Wouldn't that be amazing, sweetheart?" "Yep, it sure would."

"Jaiden." "Yes, Charley." "If your practice grows like that, it would mean two things." "And those two things would be...?" Children would become infinitely more healthy, and you would be wealthier than your dreams could ever tell you." "I'll take healthy, well children over the money any day of the week." "I know you would, bro; you have always been the kind person you are." "Thanks, Charley; I love you too." "Yeah, I know."

"Daddy, pick me up." "What made you ask me to pick you up, Nathan Robert?" "Daddy, are you a sucker?" "Whoa, where did that come from?" "I hear Daddy Peyton say you a sucker when I want sumpin'." "OK. So what am I supposed to be a sucker and do for you?" "Get me some ice keem." "I can't get some for you and not give your brothers and sister some too, can I?" "Uh-huh." "Would that be fair to them?" "Uh-huh; I won't tell'em." "If I get you some ice cream, I'll get some for them too, so go outside and tell them to come inside, and I'll get all of you some ice cream."   "OK, Daddy."

Nathan Robert went outside onto the deck and yelled, "Daddy say come in and get some ice keem." So all the children ran into the dining room, got in their chairs, and Jaiden gave them a bowl of ice cream. Peyton walked into the dining room, saw the ice cream, and asked Jaiden why the children were getting ice cream before dinner. Jaiden told him, "Someone said I was a sucker for giving Nathan Robert what he asked for; any idea who he could have heard say that?" "Um, I plead the fifth on that question." "I thought you would; kids, tell Daddy and uncle Peyton thank you." So all the children told Peyton thank you and smiled as they ate their ice cream.

Peyton and Jaiden walked into the den after cleaning up the children's dishes. Jaiden grabbed Peyton and asked, "Since I'm such a sucker, care to let me show you how I earned that title when we go to bed." "What do you think, lover boy?" "Sounds like we have an at-home date tonight." "Not to me, Jaiden. It sounds like we'll take a trip to paradise tonight." "We might as well go all the way, Peyton, pun intended." That night sparks flew, lightning bolts lit up the sky, and sounds of love reverberated throughout the house.

The following day when the dads got up and got ready for work, they also got the children fed breakfast before Ginny and Granny arrived. After that, they had enough time to sit and talk before heading to work, so Charley said, "I don't know what went on last night, but it sounded like you and Peyton took a trip to paradise." Jaiden replied, "We did, Charley, and that is all I'm going to say." "You don't have to say anymore, Jaiden; we heard everything; we forgot to close our door and start the sound machine. My guess is that you found out Peyton called you a sucker because you easily give in to the boys when they ask you for something." "So you three think I'm a sucker to my boys when they try to take advantage of me?" Peyton, Dale, and Charley said in unison, "SUCKERRRRR!"

It was the first day back in the Riley-Reynolds Pediatrics office. There was a big party in the conference room when they arrived. Being mindful of the time, Jaiden said, "We better wrap things up; patients will be coming in shortly. Ashley looked at Jaiden and said, "Oh, my, Doctor Jaiden, no patients were scheduled before ten this morning; I wonder how that could have happened?" "Ashley, I have a sneaking suspicion that three ladies got together and made sure the day would start off with a bang." "You know, Dr. Jaiden, I'll have to check on that and get back to you." "And when do you intend to get back with me, Ashley." "I think thirty years would be a good time frame." "I guess I'll have to agree with that."

When the office closed for lunch, Peyton, Richard, and Jaiden took the ladies to the staff dining room for a steak and lobster meal with grilled asparagus and a baked potato with butter and sour cream. While they were in the cafeteria, Richard had arranged with Seth to bring Sally and the babies to the hospital to meet the staff. When the four walked into the dining room, the ladies went crazy, expressing surprise at seeing the babies. They took turns holding each boy and doting on them and professing themselves to be the boy's aunties.

After lunch, Sally and Richard took the boys to the pediatric surgical floor to meet the nurses Sally had worked with. Like Richard's staff, the nurses were amazed to see the boys; however, having been working with sick patients all morning, they declined to hold the boys, opting to see them later at home during the weekend. That would also give the nurses time to purchase Seth II and Robert gifts.

Saturday, the nurses who were off met Sally at her and Richard's new home and got a new house tour. It was hot outside, so everyone stayed inside and caught up on everything that happened while Sally and Richard were in Memphis. The ladies were incredulous that Jaiden and Peyton had given the home to Richard and Sally. The ladies have nothing but respect for Richard, Peyton, and Jaiden for the good men they are, and for what they do beyond the norm to help less fortunate individuals.

Each of the nurses had a chance to hold Seth and Robert, and they shed tears while doing so. They were incredibly proud for Sally and Richard. Then, suddenly, Sally said, Uh-oh, somebody needs a diaper change, and that's when big Seth walked into the den, picked up his namesake, and took him to the nursery to change his diaper. While he and Seth II were in the room getting a diaper changed, one of Sally's friends asked who the young man was changing Seth's diaper. When Sally asked them if they remembered the patient who told Peyton, Richard, and Jaiden she was hot, as, in sexy hot, the nurse's mouths hit the floor. Seth had grown and matured so much that they didn't recognize him. They found it hard to believe that he had completed high school and was in veterinary college at the University of Florida. When Seth returned to the den, he and the nurses had their own reunion. Seth told them how fortunate he and Richard had been to be adopted by and be an integral part of Peyton's family. Richard seconded what his little brother had to say.

The nurses had smelled something cooking in the house when they arrived. When Seth handed his nephew back to his mother to feed him his lunch, Seth went to the kitchen and returned with a pot of coffee and a tray of condiments for the drink – and a platter of Cajun shrimp crostini, which the ladies thoroughly enjoyed. Sally told the nurses how Seth had been helping her straighten up the house, changing diapers, and cooking meals so she could devote her time to her newborn sons - and how grateful she was to have his help.

Seth excused himself and went outside to sit on the deck. Richard was puzzled why Seth did that, so he went outside and asked his brother why he retreated outside. Seth said, "Richard, it's Sally's time with the nurses she worked with, and I don't want to intrude on it; that's not fair to Sally. So Richard went back inside and told Sally what Seth had said. Her eyes became misty as she arose, went outside, hugged Seth, and told him he was just as much a part of the reunion as the friends were. She wanted him to come back inside and be a part of the group.

Seth went back inside as Sally requested, sat next to Sally, and held Seth II as he went back to sleep. It's a family thing, and Seth was just getting used to that fact.
