"Peyton, what's with the smile on your face?" "Charley, Jaiden, and I went to a rodeo last night and had a great time." "What do you mean you and Jaiden went to a rodeo last night; you never left the house." "Yea, it's the best rodeo we've been to in a long time." "Hm, I don't think I'm going to ask any more questions about the rodeo." "Good, because I'm not going to answer them, and neither is Jaiden." "At least I know the rodeo was interrupted by a thunderstorm; Dale and I heard thunder and saw flashes of lightning out the back windows." "So did Jaiden and I, but what you heard was not thunder." "Oh? And pray tell, what was the noise if it wasn't thunder clapping?" "Charley!" "OK, I'll use my imagination."

Jaiden walked into the kitchen to get a cup of coffee and a piece of toast and then went to the dining room. Dale asked Jaiden if he was going to sit down and enjoy his coffee, and he said he wasn't, that his lower back was sore. When Charley heard Jaiden's reply to Dale, he spat coffee across the table and died laughing. "Well, it seems my imagination was correct." Jaiden blushed so much that he looked like a bright red apple. Dale asked, "Jaiden, why is your lower back so sore that you can't sit down?" "Dale, I rode a bull at the rodeo last night and got thrown shortly after coming out the gate." This time, Peyton spat his coffee onto the table - and all over Charley, who was laughing so hard he was having trouble breathing. "Geeze, I had no idea this day was going to start off so hilariously." Jaiden said he didn't either. Charley got up to get himself another cup of coffee, and when he walked past Jaiden, he got a firm slap on the butt. Peyton noticed that when Jaiden popped him, Charley stiffened up.

"Charley, when Jaiden popped your butt, you stiffened up pretty quickly. Why did you do that? Did you go to a rodeo last night too?" Dale laughed hysterically and said, "Yea, Charley went to a rodeo too, and a big wind came up and blew his hat into the arena. He didn't want his hat trampled, so he jumped the fence to retrieve it. When he bent over, a bull pegged him square in the middle of his fanny. The bull took advantage of his position, and when he decided he was finished with what he wanted to do, he laid down on the ground, rolled over, and went to sleep. Charley had let out a yelp as the bull was finishing his business, and when he went to close his mouth, the bull had stuffed it, so to speak. It took at least fifteen minutes for Charley to work himself free. By the time he did, the bull was experiencing feelings of Utopia. I wonder why the bull having such a good time with Charley left me so relaxed and happy this morning?" "Jaiden and I are wondering the same thing, Dale. Charley, do you have an answer to Dale's question?" "Heck no, and if I knew, I certainly wouldn't say why... and Dale better not either if he knows what's good for him."

The children walked into the room as Dale, Peyton, and Jaiden were laughing at Charley's response, and Mark Anthony asked, "Daddy, what is so funny?" "It's just something Uncle Charley said, son." "What did he say, Daddy?" "It's something adult, son, so Daddy can't say." "Why not, Daddy?" Peyton and Dale tried their best not to laugh, which wasn't easy for them. "Mark, it's something you will find out when you become an adult. Daddy's sorry, but you'll have to wait until you grow up to find out what's so funny." "OK, Daddy, but that's not fair; I want to know what was funny." Jaiden put his face in his hands and shook his head because the adults had gotten caught by a brilliant little boy in the middle of an adult conversation.

"Jaiden, I guess we'll have to be more careful about our conversations and where we have them." "Peyton, I have a distinct feeling that you are right. Can you guys imagine what would happen if one of the children went to school one morning and told the teacher, "My Daddys went to a rodeo in their bedroom last night? That is not a statement I want to address at the school." "Charley said, "I bet you wouldn't, but I sure would like to see you trying to weasel out of answering the teacher's questions about what one of the children meant by such a comment." "Charley, I would love to see you answer the teacher's questions too because you would be picking up the children due to Peyton and me being in surgery and unable to make it to the school." "Jaiden, y'all wouldn't!" "The hell we wouldn't, Charley!" "You really would, wouldn't you, Jaiden?" "Yep, I surely would, and so would Peyton. Even better yet, I would love to be a fly on the wall when the children told the ladies in the nursery at the synagogue – or the Rabbis." "Jaiden, if that were to happen, the only thing you would see would be geschissen and shine as I booked it across the temple's parking lot." "You better run fast, Charley, because I have no doubt the ladies would be standing in the parking lot watching you booking it with a cherry-red face." Dale said, "I'd give a thousand bucks to see that happen." That's when Peyton lost it and almost died laughing.

The subject was quickly changed as the dads proceeded to get the children ready to go to temple services. The dads dropped the children off in the children's room and headed to the sanctuary. After the services were over and they went to the nursery class to retrieve the children, Mrs. Schwartz asked, "Jaiden, the children talked all morning about how their dads laughed during breakfast. What was so funny because the children were inquisitive about it?" "Mrs. Schwartz, let's just say it was an inside joke between Peyton, Dale, Charley, and me." "Oh, something adult!" "Yes, mam, you can say that." "Mrs. Schwartz looked at the guys with the wryest smile ever, and the dads turned as crimson as they could.

When everyone was in the van to go to lunch, Jaiden said, "Somehow, I knew that was going to happen." "Charley said, "Same here, Jaiden, but you side-stepped the issue beautifully!" "Thanks, Charley; I wanted to crawl into a hole and pull the dirt over me." "Jaiden." "Yes, Peyton." "It showed on your face that that was what you wanted to do." Jaiden's glance at Peyton could have killed a curious cat and made Dale and Charley howl."

While the families were at lunch at the Warf Seafood Restaurant, Jaiden's mom walked up to their table and surprised her son. "Mom, when did you get here?" "Just enough time ago to get my luggage, the rental car, and get here for lunch." "How did you know we were here?" "I tried to catch you at the temple, but they said you had already left to take the children to lunch, and they thought this was where you were coming. By the way, what rodeo did you see last night?"

"I heard you rode a bull and got bucked right out of the gate?" "Charley, so help me! When we get out of here, I will kill you!" "Why, I haven't talked to your mother last night or today." "Well, if you didn't, who did?" "I don't know, but as Greg's dad would say, it weren't me!" "Peyton?" "It wasn't me either, Jaiden." "Jaiden turned to ask Dale if it was him, and he was gone, so there was no doubt who told Jaiden's mother."

Jaiden pulled his phone out and called Dale. When Dale answered his cell phone, Jaiden said, "You're dead, Dale; the war is on!" Dale started laughing, and Jaiden asked, "By the way, where are you?" "When I saw your mom walk into the restaurant, I hailed a taxi and headed for the house." "That's good, Dale; I'll be there as soon as we can get the children into the van."

Dale didn't tell Jaiden that the taxi was the van and that he was lying under the rear seat. When the children were in the van, Alaina Noelle turned around, saw her daddy lying on the floor, and asked, "Daddy, why you laying on the floor?" Dale turned blood red, and Jaiden grinned from ear to ear as he came to an abrupt stop, got out of the van, opened the side door, and motioned for Dale to get out of the van. Dale didn't budge, so Jaiden pulled into a car wash, put a dollar into the machine, opened the side door, and soaped Dale down well with the spray wand. "Touchι, Dale!"

"You get to explain the rodeo to Mom when we get to the house." Jaiden had a smug look and smile on his face when he got back into the van and slowly drove home, stopping abruptly at every red light so the water in the van's floorboard would douse Dale every time he stopped the van.

"Jaiden, would an apology suffice and stop the getting even?" "Not a chance, Dale. You will have to wonder what, where, and when for at least a week!"

Dale thought, "Where am I going to be able to hide from Jaiden." When they got home, got the children into the house, and then took them back to play, Jaiden walked outside with the children, and Peyton followed shortly after. "Jaiden, what else are you planning to do to Dale?" "Truthfully, not a damn thing. He will worry all week about what I will do to get back at him, and his worrying, truth unknown to him, will be his punishment from me." "Jaiden, that is a wicked way to get back at him." "Yea, it is, isn't it? Can you think of a better way to get him?" "No, not really." "By the way, love, you better not tell him or Charley." "Tell him? I am going to have too much fun watching Dale sweat." Jaiden smiled from ear to ear.

His mom walked onto the deck with Peyton and him and asked, "Jaiden, what rodeo did you and Peyton attend last night?" "Mom, you will have to ask Dale that question, and you need to insist he explain everything in minute detail." "Will I enjoy doing that, son?" "More than you will ever know, Mom."

"Jaiden, I didn't know you had such a devious streak in you." "I don't, but it was embarrassing having my mother ask me a question that I would have to say was about my sex life. By the way, Mom, Dale, and Charley attended the same rodeo, so Dale should be able to give you a detailed, item-by-item account of last night. Ask him about the rodeo." "OK, I will; I feel his answer will be more than good." "I'm sure it will be, Mom; I'm sure it will be."

Peyton and Jaiden took their sons inside to use the restroom, and Dale and Charley went outside to watch their children play in the backyard. "Dale, Jaiden said you and Charley attended the same rodeo last night and that you could give me a detailed account of everything that happened."

Dale said, "please tell me Jaiden didn't say that." "I can't, Dale, because he did tell me that, so what happened at the rodeo?" "Mom, the rodeo was a sexcapade, and that is all I will say." Jaiden, Peyton, and their children walked back outside. When the children ran back to the yard to play with their sister and brothers, Jaiden's mom said, "Son, I asked Dale what happened at the rodeo last night, and all he would say was that it wasn't a rodeo as much as it was a sexcapade."

"Dale, you didn't tell my mom that Charley got bucked off the bull coming out of the gate and that his butt was so sore this morning that he winced horribly when I popped him on the butt as he went to the kitchen to get him another cup of coffee?" "No, Jaiden, I didn't, and I hope you won't either." Jaiden's mother did her usual clapping of the hands and laughing like a hyena. Charley didn't say a word; he just got out of his seat and walked into the den, Peyton watching him the whole time. Peyton tapped Jaiden on the hand and motioned for him to look inside at Charley, who was doubled over laughing as hard as he could. Jaiden smiled and winked at Peyton. His plan to get Dale was working better than he had hoped – and Charley was going along with it.

"Jaiden, you did that just to embarrass Dale, didn't you?" "Precisely, Mom, and I hope you will continue to press him for details of last night – at least for another hour or so." "Jaiden, you can be wicked when you want to be." "Mom, who taught me to be that way?" "I did a good job, didn't I, son?" "Yes, mam, you did; thank you!" Dale came back onto the deck, and Mom Reynolds pressed him again for details of the previous night. Dale was so embarrassed that he had tears trickling from his eyes. "Mom, I think Dale has had enough. Last night was intensely personal, so neither of us will say anything more." "OK, son, I'll leave him alone."

"Dale, I was just having a little bit of fun with you; I know what a rodeo is, or I wouldn't have put what I did in the nightstand drawer the first night you stayed at my house." After saying that, she got up, walked to Dale, kissed him on the forehead, and hugged him. Jaiden did the same thing and told Dale that he was through aggravating him and asked for his forgiveness – which he received.

Peyton's and Jaiden's jokester did something out of character for him when he saw his grandmother kiss Dale's forehead and then give him a hug: he walked onto the deck, asked Dale to bend over to him, and then hugged Dale and said, "I love you, Unka Dale!" That got to everybody, especially Dale, who put his face in his hands and let the tears flow. "I can't believe Nathan Robert just did that; he's never done that before. Jaiden and Peyton were just as surprised and emotional. For being a prankster, Nathan Robert is one of the most loving of the children.

Later in the afternoon, when Jaiden and Dale were on the deck alone together, Jaiden said, "Dale, I'm sorry I got you the way I did. I did mean for you to be so embarrassed; will you forgive me?"

"If you will forgive me. Jaiden – even if you don't, I will forgive you." "Dale, as far as I am concerned, you haven't done anything for which I need to forgive you. What I did was a bit merciless, and it bothers me that I could do that." "Bro, I know you were joking, but you had a right to do everything you did to me; I shouldn't have called and told your mother what I did."

"Believe me, Dale, mom already knew what a rodeo was; I just don't talk to her about them. Why don't we agree not to mention things like that to her anymore?" "Agreed, I won't do that again." Jaiden hugged Dale and said, "Bro, I still love you just as much as if my mother birthed you as she did me, and I always will." Then he hugged Dale and gave him a bit of a light back rub. Dale looked at Jaiden with tears and said, Jaiden, it is the same for me; I love you the same." That ended any animosity that may have existed during the day – which is how love should work, especially in a family.

A new Ruth Criss steak house opened in Erie, so Jaiden said, "I think Peyton and I will take everybody to the new steakhouse for dinner tonight. I haven't eaten at one of her steak houses since we left Brevard. Dale looked at him and said, "Really, after what I did today?" "Dale, I have no idea what you are talking about. I think we have earned a nice night out – especially with mom here." "Jaiden, I don't believe you sometimes." "Sure, you do, Dale; you know who I am and how I am; you have to believe me all the time." "I guess you are right, bro; you have never changed from the first day I met you and Peyton." "No, I haven't, and I won't."

That night, Jaiden ordered the biggest and best steaks on the menu for everybody, and they all got their favorite sides to go with their steaks. Jaiden ordered three large ribeye steaks for the children, and he and the other dads cut the steaks into small pieces so the children could safely eat. Then they mixed up some baked potatoes with sour cream and butter and divided them among the children with some diced asparagus. The food was blessed according to Jewish tradition, and the children quickly consumed everything on their plates. When the adults completed their meals, the second and final Jewish blessing was recited by Jaiden; then, he took the children to get ice cream.

As the families walked out the door, someone approached them and asked if they enjoyed their meal. The guys stopped the children and turned to see who was speaking to them, and it was Tony with an employee who asked the question so the dads wouldn't know he was there. The dads were elated to see Tony and said they indeed did enjoy the meal and would be back. Tony asked if it would be OK to go to the guy's home, and Jaiden said you better, and you better not stay in a hotel. "I did check into the Hilton since I didn't call you before I flew up to get the restaurant opened and running smoothly."

"Well, you can check out and stay at the house with us; besides, you still have a key to get in, so you don't have to call us in advance." "Jaiden, it is polite to call ahead." "Maybe, but you don't have to; I told you that before, so we'll see you at the house shortly and have some coffee and knishes waiting for you when you get there. Thirty minutes later, Tony walked in the door with his luggage, and Jaiden showed him to a large room downstairs.

"Tony, you should have let us know you were opening the steakhouse, and we would have spread the word as we did for the pizza restaurant." "I know, but you guys are very busy now, so I didn't want to bother you." "Bother us? All we would have had to do is tell the chief gossip at the temple, and she would have done all the work for us." "I apologize for not letting you know; let her know about the restaurant, and I'll make sure everyone from the temple is taken care of in style." "Just ensure they get a great meal and a big bill; they can afford to pay for whatever they order – and so can we. Tony stayed with the guys for a week and had a blast playing with the children. He took pictures to update the photos in the foyers of all his restaurants. The next time they went into Tony's and Ruth Criss', they saw a picture of the children holding hands with their dads. They were famous before when people would see them and associate them with the images in Tony's restaurants. Still, with the updated pictures, people wanted to stop the dads and the children to take their own photos with the families.

The adults stayed up almost until midnight talking before they retired for the evening. Before Jaiden and Peyton turned in for the night, Jaiden gave Charley a new bottle of the Hawaiian massage oil and told him to make use of it for Dale, that he regretted Dale having such a hard day with the jabbing and joking. He took off everybody. When he and Dale got to their bedroom, Charley locked the door and told Dale to strip down and lay on the bed on his stomach. "Charley, I am still sore from last night, so can we skip intercourse tonight, please?" "Babe, that was not and is not my intent; just please do what I asked you to do!"

Dale stripped naked and lay on the bed as Charley had asked. Charley also stripped and then straddled Dale's midsection as he poured the massage oil onto Dale's back. An hour later, Charley was still massaging Dale's back. He told his lover to turn over, and when Dale did, his eyes bulged at seeing how `excited' Dale was. He had never seen Dale so hard.

He poured the massage oil on Dale's chest and began a slow, soothing massage, slowly moving down Dale's body until he had massaged every inch of his lover. When he had completed the massage and Dale was totally relaxed, Charley returned to the part of Dale's body that had surprised him and gotten him horny. He grabbed Dale's phallus and began slowly massaging it up and down. About ten minutes later, Dale stiffened his body and shot a load of spunk bigger than any he and Charley could remember of late. Charley leaned over and began to clean Dale's body of every bit of love nectar he could see. Then he took Dale into his mouth and gave him the BJ of all BJs. Dale moaned in ecstasy as Charley took him to Utopia and back. When he had given Dale his full attention, he snuggled up to his husband and whispered into his ear, "Sweetheart, I love you more than anything in this world, and I always will. He held Dale closely, and they fell asleep in each other's arms.

The next morning, all Charley did when Jaiden walked into the kitchen was grab him, hug him, and thank him for the most loving night he'd had in a long time – at least since they had left Memphis and started work full-time. Jaiden was moved by Charley's gesture and couldn't say anything; he just let some tears roll. Dale walked into the kitchen and kissed Charley, who dried the tears from his eyes. What a night they had, and what a day they would have. Jaiden's mom noticed the sentimentality in Dale and Charley and immediately knew Jaiden and Peyton had done something nice for the young men; she sipped her coffee and winked at Jaiden, who returned her wink with a gentle smile. Talk about love filling a house early in the morning!

"Guys, what say we take the children to the beach this morning?" "Peyton said he thought it was a good idea and that they could spend some quiet time together walking down the beach and give Charley and Dale some time alone by watching the children and let them have some privacy walking through the edge of the water by themselves. Mom Reynolds said, "You know, every time I see those two, they love each other more than ever." "I believe you hit the nail on the head, mom. Peyton and I try to make sure they take some time for each other." "Son, you and Peyton have done a fantastic job helping those two; I am so proud of you and Peyton." Jaiden looked at his mom and smiled.

"Jaiden, how did you and Peyton come to live with Dale and Charley?" "Mom, it just happened, and we enjoyed their company so much that we discovered we loved them as much as if they were our blood brothers. People think we were crazy to honeymoon with them, but I think we would have been miserable without them there. We had so much fun and created so many amazing memories. When we took Charley to Fleetwood's restaurant in Lahaina, and he got so excited, it was like seeing your child the happiest he'd ever been. The walks we took on the beach at night, and the things we did in secret places... we would have been in real trouble if we had gotten caught." "I don't know, Jaiden; Maui is a relatively liberal and accepting place. You even spoke of that when you got home to Erie and in medical school. When Jim, Phyllis, and I decided to book that trip for you and found out you wanted Charley and Dale to go with you, we had to include them in the plans."

"When we got that text from the four of you standing on the beach and saw how happy y'all were, we cried. When we found out you and Peyton got locked out on the balcony – naked at that – and couldn't get inside until the next morning when Charley looked out and saw the two of you and unlocked the door, we laughed until we cried."

"Then when your prayers were answered by meeting your rabbis and their families at the Cheeseburger Factory, and then they caught the four of you naked on the beach with their brothers, that was one of the most hilarious moments Jim, Phyllis, and I could ever remember; that was so funny. When you all got home, you looked so happy and relaxed."

"Mom, we were the most relaxed and the happiest since Peyton and I met. When Dale's and Charlie's dads became a part of their lives after you chewed their butts, they became the happiest we had ever seen them. And then, when the children came along, they became so involved in their lives and supportive of Charley and Dale that we would catch them tearing up about how their families had come together to love and accept them. Mom, you are a huge part of their happiness; I don't know if you realize how much you mean to them."

"Mr. Pope called us one day and offered to swap the Subaru for a small Lincoln like mine; Dale almost took the offer as an insult and said he would never get rid of that car no matter what. Getting that car for him and Charley was the first time they felt loved by a parent – and it was my mom being the parent. That meant so much to all of us; you just don't know. I still get tickled when Dale tells Charley he looks good driving that Subaru and that he can drive the Lincoln, and he'll drive the Subaru." "Dale is still doing that, Jaiden?" "Yes, mam, he is, and he is so funny about it."

Dale walked onto the deck, and Mom Reynolds said, "Dale, why don't you trade in that Subaru, and let's get you a Subaru Ascent?" "No, mam, I love that Subaru, and I look good driving it; besides, there is nothing wrong with that car; it has low miles, gets good gas mileage, and looks as if it just came off the showroom floor." "Are you sure, Dale?" "No, mam, I'm not; I'm positive. I will never get rid of that sweet vehicle; it means too much to me."

"Dale, it's just a car!" "It's not just a car; it is THE car. When you bought that car for Charley and me, it was the first time in a long time that Charley and I felt truly loved by a parent, and you were that parent. I am not interested in getting rid of our Subaru for any reason; I'm just not, and I won't even think about doing that. No, no way!"

"If you ever want a bigger car, you better let me know." "Mom, we have the money to get a new car if we want one, but it will be the Lincoln that goes, not the Subaru." "Dale, I love you and Charley, too." "I know, Mom; you show us that all the time, and because of you, we now know that our parents love us as much as you do." "Dale, your parents and Charley's parents love you more than I do or could." "Maybe, but you are the first parent who ever made us feel wanted and loved, and neither Charley nor I will ever forget that."
