"Dale yelled downstairs, "Yea, we know. Breakfast is ready and all the bags are in the car. Don't forget the envelope." "Peyton, they beat us getting up and they have breakfast ready." "I'm ready, Jaiden, let's go upstairs and eat." "Holy mackerel, Charley, when did you get up to do all this, and get everything cleaned and put away?" "Just say I was excited and couldn't sleep, so I got up and cooked everybody a hearty breakfast so the flight would be a little easier. You get paper plates and plastic ware. We'll put it in a plastic bag and leave it inside so the bears won't strew the garbage everywhere, Oh, paper cups too." "Did Mom eat? "Yes, and Dale served her a coffee with one sugar and light cream." Charley and Dale laughed when I said, "If Dale keeps doing that, she is really going to love him." Mom came into the room and said, "Let's get going boys so we can get through TSA at the airport and then check in for our flight. I have everybody's ticket with me." We got into Mom's car and we were at the airport in 30 minutes. We all grabbed our luggage and headed for TSA. Mom started to get her bag and it wasn't. there. Charley spoke up and said, "I have your bag, Mom." "Sorry" "That's ok, Charley, thank you. It's better for you to have it than for me to have left it at home." We all smiled. We got through TSA and headed for gate 16B. We were there fairly quickly. Mom stepped over to a kiosk and bought everybody a bottle of water to carry on the plane. She told us to drink a little at a time until we got to Mobile to keep from getting dehydrated. Peyton looked at Charley and he was white as a sheet. Charley, are you ok, Peyton asked? "Yeah, I'm just a bit anxious. I've never flown before." "Charley it is the safest means of travel in the US. It's more comfortable than a car and a lot faster. The most fun to me is when to pilot has to commit to the takeoff and the plane glides above the clouds. When you look out the window and see the clouds, it is so beautiful. The plane may shake a little if it hit turbulence, but that is a given on most flight and usually only a brief occurrence. In an hour and a half, we will land in Mobile." As everybody got on the plane and the stewardess shut the door, A steward started the usual pre-flight announcement. "Ladies and gentlemen, and you better be gentlemen on this flight or you might not get a date with the beautiful lady sitting next to you. Renee Is going to demonstrate procedures that we all must follow. Renee is holding the seatbelt. See that little part with a hole in the middle, stick that into the big square thing without the hole. If you don't understand how to do that then you don't need to be on this plane. Please keep your seat belt fastened at all times. I am sure the beautiful lady you are sitting next to doesn't want you to bounce into her lap in the case of turbulence. Now, sit back, close your eyes, and enjoy your flight. Oh, if you should need anything, I am Queen Mike. Thank you so much for flying Delta. I hope to see you on your return flight. As the plane got into the air, Charley had a death grip on the armrest next to him. "Charley, take a deep breath, you have to breath to live," Peyton told him. Charley opened his eyes, looked around and asked if we were still on the runway. Dale told him, "No, hon, we are 30,000 feet in the air. Now open your eyes and look out the window." When Charley looked out the window, he got really wide-eyed, "I have never seen the top of the clouds before, they are so beautiful. And the land you can see, it looks so different from way up here." Jaiden looked at Peyton and said, "Yep, he's hooked on flying already. Thanks for talking him onto the plane. I want to kiss you so badly right now, but I don't want to offend some homophobe around us. " Peyton took both his hands and turned Jaiden's face toward him and gave him a really sweet kiss on the lips. "screw them," Peyton said. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have been cleared to land in Mobile. I hope you have enjoyed your flight and will again fly Delta." "Ladies and gentlemen, at this time, please secure your trays and return your seats to the upright position. Please keep your seat belts fastened until the Captain gives the OK to begin deplaning. Remember to gather all your belongings and deposit your trash in refuse cans just outside the door of the plane. Thank you and have a beautiful day! As we got off the plane, Mom gave each Stewardess and the Steward a card with $20 in each card. She said she understood what it was like to be on your feet all day, and to do it with a plane turning, shaking, and bouncing with turbulence, they deserved a gift from everyone. When we got to the baggage carousel, Mom and Dad were there waiting for us. Dad took all of us to lunch at the famous steak and fish house, and man was it good. When we got to the house, Mom fixed her and Dr. Mom some coffee. The guys all visited with my grandparents and I introduced Charley and Dale. Granny told them to call her Granny and to call my Grandfather Papa and then she gave each of them a kiss on the cheek and said she was so glad to finally meet them. Papa, he shook their hands and gave them a kiss on the forehead. Jaiden and I chuckled. Grandma Jenny got up and introduced herself and told Dale and Charley they would call her Grandma Jenny and there would be no argument about it. Dale and Charley said, Yes, mam, Grandma Jenny." She looked at my grandfather and said, "that old grouch right there, you will call in Pawpaw. They shook Pawpaw's hand and said glad to meet you, Pawpaw." "Likewise, grandsons," I took Charley and Dale out back to see the farm, the horses, and the mule. I told them Dad named the old mule Peyton. Dale asked, "Why did he name the mule Peyton?" "Dad likes to introduce him as Peyton the jackass." We all laughed at that. We went to check on the sheep in the far pasture. I am mesmerized by them because they are gentle, trusting souls. And they are so beautiful. The cows on the other hand, be careful. They can be dangerous. Mom rang the bell for us to head back to the house. I looked at my watch and it was almost time for dinner. Mom loves to cook and she has been doing a lot of that so I assumed we would be having dinner at home. When we got back to the house, I found my assumption was correct. Mom had one heck of a spread laid out. Everybody gathered around the table and held hands as Mom lit the Shabbat candles and dad recited the kiddush. Everybody ate heartily and when the meal was completed, Mom got up to do the dishes. Dale said, "Mom, please go into the living room and have some relaxing time with the other adults." Mother looked at Dale as if to say, "Damn I'm glad I adopted you as one of mine. I don't usually expect this." She walked over to Dale, gave him a big hug and a kiss on the cheek and said, "Thank you son, and welcome to the family." Dale looked up at Mom when she said that and got rather red eyed. Mom went into the den and the boys put up the food, washed , dried, and put up the dishes and wiped off the tables. We went into the living room so the adults could talk. Dad came in and said, "boys, we would rather you join us in the den, but thank you for your intent." Grandma Jenny said "good, y'all are adults now and you deserve to be in here with us. We all smiled. I gave Grandma Jenny a hug and kiss and said, "thank you." Everybody talked for about an hour and then Dad asked everybody if any of us would like to go to Shabbat sprayer services. We all said yes, so we piled into all the vehicles, including mine, and headed to the synagogue. Needless to say, Dale was excited. I got Dale and Charley a yarmulke at the door of the synagogue and we went in and sat with Dad and my granddads. The Rabbi began the service, completed the normal prayers he prayed for the temple and for the people and then there were specific prayers. I was a bit taken aback when the Rabbi said a prayer for me, Jaiden AND Charley and Dale. That was unusual but very much appreciated. Dale was humbled. As we exited the synagogue, we shook Rabbi Schlottman's hand and said thank you. Mrs. Schwartz came up and pinched all of our cheeks and then kissed them. She looked up at Dad and said, "Jim, how nice. You aren't getting a son-in-law; you are getting two doctors and two engineers." Then she walked to her car. Smiling the whole way. Dad and Mom took us boys and Dr. Mom to the motel where the party would be held and we got our room keys and went to our rooms. Surprisingly, Dale, Charley, Jaiden, and I had adjoining rooms and got to go between rooms and spend some time together before going to sleep. We finally closed the door between the rooms and Jaiden began to slowly undress me. As he did, I began to undo the buttons on his shirt, unbuckle his belt and pants and let them fall to the floor. Then off came the tee shirts and the boxer briefs. Jaiden pulled me close and started palming my body from just below the waist and up. The moment was so sensual as I returned the caresses that continued as we fell on to the bed. We didn't prepare for intercourse, but we did give each other two awesome BJs. Afterward, we took a warm shower together, dried off and snuggled in bed until we nodded off. I am sure Dale and Charlie pretty much did the same because we could tell their lights were off and the room was extremely quiet for them. We woke up to a knock on the door, "Room service." "What the hell, Peyton, we didn't order anything." We both dressed casually and I opened the door and there stood Jenny with a huge tray of fruits, sausages, cheese and wine. `Hey, sis, when did you get here. Come on in!" "I got here about an hour ago and thought I would surprise you with a nice German breakfast. Well sort of an abbreviated German breakfast. Are Dale and Charley up so they can join us? "Let me check." I walked over and knocked on the adjoining door. Dale opened the door, and thankfully he and Charley were dressed. I invited them over to share what Jenny had brought us. We have a full coffeemaker in the room, so I made a pot of coffee. Jenny said, "Peyton, I know you and Jaiden never touch alcohol, "as she held up the bottle of wine and said, "Little Bro, it's non-alcoholic." I gave Jenny a big hug and said, "Sis, you are the best! I love you so much" A few seconds later, Mom knocked on the door and I let her in. Jaiden said, "good morning, Mom" and gave her a kiss. He pointed to the food and said we have plenty and the coffee is brewing." "It looks so good and it's a great way to start the day!" Jaiden had stepped out in the hall to get three more coffee cups so everyone would have one. We sat around eating German sausages, cheese, crackers, drinking the wine and several cups of coffee until we drained the pot. Mom said she was going to the Riley's and would meet us there for lunch. Until then, Jaiden, Dale, Charley, and I went for a long stroll on the beach. Al four of us are pretty ripped and a bunch of girls started following us, it was so funny, if they only knew. Neither of us flame or act gay. We got to a point where we stopped to sit and rest. The girls, licking their lips seductively, came over and introduced ourselves. We talked for a few minutes until the girls asked what we were doing tonight. Jaiden cracked a smile and replied, "we are all getting married at 6 pm – to each other. One of the girls said, OH!" And then they all walked off. We all busted out laughing and headed back to the hotel. We watched a movie on Cinemax about a gay couple getting married and then we headed over to Peyton's house for lunch. Again, his mother did not disappoint. After lunch, my brother-in-law, Rabbi Rob, said, "guys, let's walk off this lunch." We got down the farm road a ways and Rob said, "guys, Rabbi Schlottman and I discussed tonight. I had the Hotel put a black curtain across the length of the room and a foot and a half higher than the Chuppah so your surprise could be better protected. I haven't and I won't tell anybody, not even Jenny. "Under the Chuppah, a prayer will be said after which you will be given a glass of wine over which I will have said a blessing. After the blessing, you each will drink from the wine glass. I have made sure it is non-alcoholic to conform to your wishes. "After tasting the wine, Jaiden and Dale will be asked to say a prayer before placing the rings on Peyton's and Charley's left ring finger. Dale to make the ceremony more comfortable for you, you and Jaiden may hold the rings together in the air as Jaiden offers the prayer. After you place the rings on Peyton's and Charley's hands, they will be instructed to likewise place your rings on your hands. After this has been done, Rabbi Schlottman will say the Ketubah. Your rings are the required gifts to each other." "After the Ketubah is read, I will give a brief talk on the importance of the marriage rings. Then I will read the Sheva Berachot's seven blessings and I will do them in English so everyone present can understand them." "When he completes the Sheva Berachot's, a wind glass with be placed on the floor by Jaiden's and Dale's Right foot and will be covered by a cloth. Jaiden and Dale, you will crush the glass with your right foot and that will complete the marriage ceremony and you will be legally married. Oh yes, you will have to kiss your mate in from of everybody. Keep it quick and simple please. Everyone will yell "MAZELTOV,' and you can then mingle with family, friends, and guests." Al four boys were red eyed when they shook Rob's hand, gave him a hug and said thank you. When they looked up at Rob, his eyes were red as well. At 5:30 pm, guests and family members began to arrive at the hotel. Name placards had been placed on each table for the Rileys, Dr. Reynolds, Jaiden and Peyton. At the table next to theirs, reserved spots were for the Leonards and the Andersons with Charley and Dale sitting with their respective families. Charley and Dale were extremely surprised to see their grandparents present. There were separate tables for all the grandparents. At 6 pm, Dr. Riley rang a bell and announced that the evening meal would begin to be served. When everybody had been served and had mostly eaten their meals, Charley, Dale, Jaiden, and Peyton excused themselves and went outside the meeting room. Each picked up a dozen long stemmed roses for their Moms. Rabbi Schlottman and I followed the boys and went around the corner and quietly re-entered the room and took our places under the Chuppah. When the music began, the boys re-entered the room and walked to their mothers and presented each of them long stemmed red roses and give them each a kiss. Then together, they turned and walked to the front facing the Chuppah. As they did this, a person in the back pushed a button and the Chuppah's festive lights came on and the black curtain began to part. The audience gasped! The boys had finally pulled one over on them for a change. Rabbi Schlottman began the service with a prayer and recitation of the Ketubah. After the Ketubah Rabbi Rob held the wine bottle high and said a blessing over the wine. Each boy's mother had been called forward. They were standing in front of their sons as Rabbi Rob filled two glasses of wine. He handed one glass to Peggy, and one to Dale's mom. The Moms then gave each boy a sip of the wine and moved to the side as Jaiden and Dale said a blessing over their marriage in perfect, flawless Hebrew which stunned many in the audience. Rabbi Rob gave a brief sermon on the significance of wedding bands and their symbol of eternal unity and said a prayer over the rings. Jaiden and Dale said a prayer over the rings and their marriage as they placed the rings on the fingers of Peyton and Charley who likewise placed Jaiden's and Dale's rings on their ring fingers. Rabbi Schlottman then said the Sheva Berachot's. When he had completed the Sheva, Peyton's Dad and Dale's Dad came forward, placed a cloth on the floor, a wine glass on each cloth and a cloth over the wine glasses. Rabbi Rob gave a nod and Jaiden and Dale crushed the wine glasses. The wedding was completed. When the glasses broke, everyone yelled "MAZELTOV." Jaiden gave Peyton a quick kiss and Dale gave Charley a quick kiss and they stepped off the Chuppah to be swarmed by everybody. Unbeknownst to anybody, the Hotel had graciously had their pastry chef make two beautiful two-tier wedding cakes for each couple sending them best wishes with the cakes. That got to the boys. Everyone enjoyed the cake and a delicious cup of coffee. Dale was beside himself over his Dad's participation. Each parent held their son and cried. Jenny went nuts holding Jaiden and Peyton. What really got everybody was when Ginny began making her way to Jaiden and Peyton with alligator tears in her eyes. Everybody just parted and watched as Ginny approached Jaiden. They grabbed each other and planted each other's head in the shoulder of the other and sobbed uncontrollably. There wasn't a dry eye in the house at this point. When they had composed themselves, they parted, looked at each other and gave one another a kiss on the cheek. Ginny looked at Jaiden, placed her hands on Jaiden's face and said, "Jaiden you have always been and you will always will be my boy, my son too. We will never again lose contact." "Jaiden said, "No Ginny, we won't." Jenny went up to Peyton and Jaiden and whispered something in each of their ears and they embraced, once again in tears. Charley's and Dale's parents pulled them into a hug and told each boy how much they loved them and how proud they were of them. Charley and Dale began to sob hearing that. Their parents held them tight, tears rolling from their eyes too. Moment by moment, the guests began to leave until the boys and their parents were the only ones left. They said their thanks and I love you to each other. Then each told the boys if they needed anything while on their honeymoon to call them. Then the parents left leaving the boys by themselves in the hotel. They sat together and sobbed uncontrollably. After a few minutes, they went to their rooms, changed into comfortable baggy clothing and then went to Peyton's car and retrieved the envelop from the glove box. "Jaiden, please open this and read it to us." Jaiden very nervously opened the envelop and pulled out the letter. "Our dearest sons, you are too predictable. Everybody figured you would be getting married tonight. We are all so proud of each of you, so we have added a week to your honeymoon. You now have three weeks to enjoy each other's company. Please open the blue envelop now." Jaiden opened the blue envelop and pulled out a folded letter. When he unfolded the letter he screamed and started sobbing. It took him a moment to collect himself. He then told us we would be spending our honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii at the Kaanapali Resort. They have a car paid for on reservation for our entire honeymoon. The note said to also look in the trunk of the car. When we did and we found a brand-new Canon D8 digital camera system with every lens imaginable. Each of you will fly out of Mobile tomorrow at 12 noon. You need to be at the airport no later than 9:30 to clear TSA and board your flight. Your tickets are electronic. Give them each of your names and show them your driver's licenses; we made sure the licenses conform to the new Federal laws to board the aircraft. When you show them your id, they will print and give you your tickets. When you get to Maui, call Hertz Rental and they will pick you up and take you to your vehicle. There is one last box under the passenger seat of Peyton's car. Get it now. There will be another note inside the box. Jaiden reached under the seat and retrieved the box. "It is the best Gabi GPS available. Every major site and landmark in Maui have already been programmed into it. Choose what you want to see, but don't miss going to Hana, seeing the bamboo forest, the water falls, Lahaina and the Haleakala Volcano. Go to the volcano well before sunrise and have the camera ready. Then go back about an hour and a half before sundown. Again have the camera ready. You can also go to the beaches on Kihei and get great sunrise and sunset pictures. There is money in your accounts to eat where you like during the day. Breakfast and supper will be at the resort. It, too, is paid for. In Lahaina, there is a great sandwich shop on the left where the cruise ships disembark for sightseeing. Down the street on the right is a restaurant called Downstairs, it is also very good. Check out everything and know that all your parents love you dearly!
