The four boys got up, dressed, and walked to the breakfast nook to eat what Ginny had prepared for them. Each boy hugged and kissed Ginny on the cheek as they walked by her. She grinned from ear to ear. She loves and is so proud of her boys. After the boys had finished their breakfast, they decided to hit the books and try to keep ahead of the required reading for their classes. Jaiden was thanking Hashem that there were no anatomy classes for the rest of the week since they all were off until Friday morning thanks to the Presidents of LECOM and Penn State in honor of Peyton and Dale. Ginny was still around at lunch and had prepared a beef roast, broccoli, and squash casserole, one of Peyton's favorite meals. About noon she called her boys to the dining room for lunch. Jaiden insisted that Ginny sit down and have lunch with them, so she did. They laughed and talked about what they were going to do tomorrow when their parents arrived. Little did they know, but Dale's and Charley's parents would be flying in on Wednesday morning with all the other parents. Since the house was full, the Riley's and Dr. Mom had made reservations at the Hilton through Friday morning. The Hilton Shuttle would get Dr. Mom to the airport Friday morning. Dr. Dad and Phyllis would be flying home on Friday afternoon after the boys got home from classes. It was Wednesday morning and the boys were getting ready to head to the airport. It was going to be a surprise for Dale and Charley, a huge surprise. They were going to take everybody to Tony's to celebrate early. They didn't know that Tony had already arrived and would be at the restaurant when they arrived with their parents. Dr. Mom knew Charley's and Dale's parents would be there as a surprise to their sons, so she rented a Lincoln Navigator so there would be enough room for everybody to get to where they needed to be. Jaiden would find out about that when they got to the airport. The boys got to the airport at 11:30 and at 11:45 their parent's planes landed early. All the boys were at the luggage turnstile waiting for their parent's luggage to make its round. Peyton saw his Mom and Dad coming down the escalator followed by Dr. Mom. Charley and Dale were watching the parents coming down the escalator when the spotted their parents. They lost it and ran to their parents and hugged them tightly as they and their parents shed a few tears. Dale looked at his parents and asked when they decided to come and they told him as soon as they saw the news back home. It was the same with Charley whose Dad told both boys he loved them as he hugged them tightly. Their Moms had to tell the Dads they needed a chance to hug their sons. Jaiden called Phil and told him that there would be 11 people for lunch and asked if he could have a table set up for them. Phil said that would be no problem, but to expect more than 11. Jaiden asked Phil what he meant, and Phil told him he would find out when he got there. As everybody turned into the parking lot at Tony's, there were four vans parked with the logos CBS, ABC, NBC, and Fox printed on the sides. As soon as Peyton and Dale entered the restaurant, you saw reporters scattering toward the vans, antennas going up, and cameras coming out. As the boys and their parents were seated, the reporters descended on them and started peppering Peyton and Dale with questions. The basic gist of what they wanted to know is how all the news came about. Peyton told them a teacher had caused a tremendous amount of angst to a little 9-year-old boy and how his parents asked him to tutor their son. He said he gave the little boy some math worksheets and immediately discovered a problem and advised the little boy's Dad to be in the principal's office the next morning when school began. Peyton told the reporters how, in the first 15 minutes of the math class beginning, that the principal and the boy's Dad heard the teacher call the boy dumb, stupid, and lazy, a boy who had a straight-A average in every other subject, and how 20 minutes later, the teacher packed her car and left the school's campus. He related that one thing led to another and that he met the boy's Dad at their home and interviewed Carolyn Spencer for the open math position at the elementary school and recommended she be given a contract on the spot. He told them the Principal offered her an immediate contract based on some advanced math exercises he had given to her to teach the little boy, and how she taught him the concepts in 5 minutes, and how the little boy worked all 20 problems correctly in another 5 minutes proving he was neither dumb, stupid, nor lazy, that he was, in fact, a brilliant and loving little boy. They asked Peyton if he thought the little boy would be at the board meeting and Peyton said he didn't know but there was a good possibility. They would all find out at the board meeting with everybody else. Neither the news crews nor Dale or Peyton knew there would be 31 sets of parents with their children at the board meeting. The news crews asked about Dale's involvement with the little boy and Peyton told them, this is Dale sitting here beside me, ask him. With that statement, Dale shot Peyton a `damn you' look. Dale explained to the reporters that he has a God-given gift of helping children with confidence issues and how he used juggling to help him overcome the issue. "Juggling," a reporter asked? "Yes, sir, Juggling. It involves concentration, visualization, timing, math, and confidence. The little boy mastered three different levels of juggling within thirty minutes and he hasn't had a confidence problem since." All the reporter said was, "Wow!" Dale told the reporters that within one month, Carolyn Spencer had assessed where each student stood in the class, had written a detailed report on where they were, and what she had to do to get them to where she felt they could and should be timewise. That, gentlemen, occurred within one month, not two as originally expected. On top of that, she took a minimally functioning math class to be a month ahead of the advanced placement math class on the same level of work, all in the first month. I am sure you will hear more about that at tomorrow's board meeting. Now, if you will excuse us, I am too skinny and starving, so let's eat. When their food arrived at the table, it was delivered by none other than Tony. All four boys jumped up for a `Tony huddle-hug.' Both Tony and the boys teared up at seeing each other and that sparked more interest on the part of the reporters who would surely try to interview Tony at the end of the meal. The reporters did interview Tony after the meal and he related everything that had happened from the first year at Wellstone to date in Erie. The four Amigos said that they would be glad to get home so they could have some peace. WRONG! When the boys and their parents got home, several news crews from Pennsylvania, along with news crews from Mobile, Milton, Pensacola, and Asheville were sitting in front of the house. Peyton and Dale made a quick reference to the interviews and told the reporters they would get the rest of the story at tomorrow night's school board meeting. Peyton told the reporters, "we are medical and engineering students, so we have to hit the books if you will please excuse us." The reporters thanked them for their time and politely left. When everyone finally got inside the house, Dad Riley and Dr. Mom told Peyton and Dale that they thought the boys handled the reporters very well. Both Dale and Peyton sat down threw their heads back, and put their hands over their faces and said they were so tired. Dr. Mom checked them both, pronounced them too anxious, gave them some medication to make them relax, and told their spouses to take them to bed. When that was done, Jaiden and Charley returned to the den. Jaiden said, "Mom, I don't know what you gave them, but thank you. They needed that medication to get some sleep and they were both asleep within 10 minutes of hitting the bed." Dr. Mom said, "Son, I told you, I AM GOOD at what I do." Then she and the other parents started laughing. Dr. Dad looked at Dr. Mom, and said, "Since Peyton can be a jackass, did you give him ketamine?" Dr. Mom howled at that question. Dale's and Charley's parents went out to see their new car and were beside themselves at the car and all its bells and whistles. They thanked Dr. Mom profusely for being so nice to their son's. Dr. Mom said it was her pleasure to buy that car for them, that she considered them her `biological' children as well as Jaiden. She told their parents there was no way she could love them more than she already does, that they are truly awesome young men. The Andersons and the Leonards all let a tear loose with that statement. Jaiden and Charley went up to check on their spouses and came back and told Dr. Mom that they didn't know Peyton and Dale were that tired, that they had never heard either one snore but they were cutting logs with a chainsaw right now. Dr. Mom assured them it was due in large part to the medicine she had given them to relax. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door and when Jaiden answered the knock, it was Pete, Allison, the baby, and Jason. The adult's interest peaked when they heard Jaiden say, "Hey, little buddy, how are you today?" "I am doing well Mr. Jaiden, how are you?" "I am doing well, Jason, thank you for asking. Pete, Allison, please, come inside, our parents are here and are anxious to meet Jason and you as well." When they reached the den, Jaiden said, "Jason, this is my Mom, Dr. Reynolds. I suspect she is going to want you to call her grandma." Mom said, "you are correct, Jaiden." Jason, come hug your new grandma. Jason gave her his famous `Jason hug' and looked her in the eye and said, "I love you and I love Jaiden, too." Dr. Mom's eyes swelled a bit and turned red as did Jaiden's. "Jason, this is Peyton's parents, Dr. and Mrs. Riley." Jason shook Dr. Dad Riley's hand and hugged Peyton's mom and told them he loved them as well. Like the other adults, their eyes swelled a bit and turned red, too. Dr. Dad looked at Jason and told him he could call him Grampy. Then he asked, "Jason, do you know how I got the name Grampy?" "No, sir, I don't." "Well Peyton says I can be grumpy at times and his sister has three children and since I am their grandpa, we put grumpy and grandpa together and came up with Grampy, part grandpa and part grumpy." Jason laughed at Dr. Dad's explanation and so did the other adults. Peyton's mom here, our grandchildren call her Granny and you can call her Granny, too, if you want to. Jason looked up at Phyllis and said, "I love you, Granny." Mom Riley melted as she got on her knees to talk to Jason and hug him. Dad and Mom Riley shook Pete's and Allison's hand and told them how nice it was to finally meet them after hearing so much about them and Jason on the news back home. Before Jaiden could introduce Jason to Dale's parents, the Andersons, Dad Anderson got down on his knees and introduced himself to Jason and told him he could call him Grandpa Dale. Jason asked him if he was Mr. Dale, too, like Mr. Dale. Mr. Anderson laughed and said, "Yes, sir, I am Jason. Dale's mother, Angela, also got on her knees and talked to Jason for a few minutes and then told Jason he could call her Grandma Angie. Jason was beaming at all the new grandparents. Jason also told Dale's parents he loved them, and, of course, they both melted. Jason had all the adults wrapped around his little finger. Charley stepped up and introduced Jason to his parents. Dad Leonard told Jason to call him Papa, and Mom Leonard told Jason to call her Granny. Jason, as he did with the other new Grandparents, shook their hands and gave Moms Anderson and Leonard hugs and told them he loved them. Jason endeared himself to every adult in the den. All the Amigo's parents introduced themselves to Pete and Allison and told them how badly they all had wanted to meet Jason after hearing so much about him and how he proved true everything they had heard. Dr. Dad and Dr. Mom enjoyed watching Jason's inquisitiveness. They thought he was a hoot. Grandpa Dale asked Jason about Juggling and Jason told him Mr. Dale taught him to have confidence in himself by teaching him to juggle. Pete looked at Jason and said, "Jason, your juggling bag is in the van, why don't you go get it and we can go to the back yard where you can show Grandpa Dale what Mr. Dale taught you to do. Jason rushed to the van and got his bag and ran back inside to show Grandpa Dale what all he had. All the adults went out on the deck while Grandpa Dale and Jason stood in the middle of the yard and Jason took out the large balls and juggled them beautifully. Then he got his batons and juggled them. All the adults praised Jason at that point and he let loose with a big grin. His final act was to bring out three new navel oranges which he juggled brilliantly. When he finished, the adults gave him some applause and told him how proud they were of him. David was looking out his window next door and when he saw Jason, he ran over to play with him for a while. The adults had an awesome time watching David juggle as well and when Jaiden told them Jason had taught David to juggle in about 20 minutes, they were even more impressed with Jason. To say they were proud of Dale for his work with the children, that went without saying. Dale woke up about an hour after going to sleep and got up to start dinner. Dr. Mom suggested he relax and Dale told her cooking was how he best relaxed. He told her, "besides, I cooked the meat yesterday, all I have to do is warm it and make the sauce. The garlicky mashed potatoes will take about 20 minutes start to finish and I grilled the asparagus yesterday and only have to warm that. In 30 minutes, Dale had Chicken Piccata with capers, grilled asparagus, and garlicky creamed potatoes on the table. Dr. Dad asked Dale if the meal was one of Peyton's favorites and Dale said, "yes, sir, it is. I prepared this because he has been through so much over the past two weeks with all the attention and with Jaiden's daily green screen performances in the bathroom. Dr. Mom said, "green screen performances in the bathroom, that is hilarious." The Andersons and the Leonards asked if they missed something, and Charley spoke up and said "yes you did and be glad you did." Charley's Dad asked Charley what he meant by his statement. Charley explained to everyone that what he meant by green screen performances in the bathroom was Jaiden being green when he got out of anatomy class after working with cadavers and then coming home and hugging the toilet. Dale called what Jaiden was doing vomiting. I said, "No, what Jaiden is doing is puking. He was like a drunk in an ally back home. If you didn't know he never touches alcohol, you would swear he was drunk." He further related what Jaiden had said about how he could check prostates at the house with Peyton and, with Peyton's permission and supervision, on him and Dale. He looked at the parents and said he didn't think Jaiden liked sticking his finger up the butt of a dead man to see what a prostate felt like. Dr. Mom and Dr. Dad howled because they understood exactly what Charley meant. The Andersons and Leonards laughed at Jaiden's predicament as well. Jaiden, he turned a shade of red mixed with a bit of green. Phil called Jaiden and told him he would stay with Tony at the motel so the parents would have enough room in the house and Jaiden thanked him for being so considerate. With the Rileys and Mom staying at the Hilton, there would be plenty of room at the house for the Andersons and the Leonards. Everyone sat on the deck talking since the weather was cool and enjoyable. Stories were told, tales were alleged and a lot of laughing was done. Jason spent all afternoon playing and running around until it was time to decide where everyone would go for dinner. Dale and Peyton had awakened in time to chime in on eating and Dale suggested a restaurant at the Warf he had heard was very good with beautiful scenic views. They looked at the menu at Sunrise Grill and everyone thought the menu choices were great and that is where everybody headed. Everyone ordered various dishes from steak salads, steaks, and seafood entrees. Everything Dale had been told about the restaurant was proven to be true. The portions were good without being too much, the food was extremely delicious, and all were satisfied when they left to walk around the wharf to see the various boats and the sunset that made the area particularly beautiful. Dale and Charley were having a particularly good time walking around the wharf with Dale having his arm around Charley's waist. Once in a while, you would see them rest their heads against the others with smiles on their faces. It wasn't any different for Jaiden and Peyton except they were walking hand-in-hand and periodically Jaiden would lean over and kiss Peyton on his head. You will probably never see more loving couples than the four Amigos. When everyone got back to the Riley-Reynolds home, Jaiden took the chance to have a walk with his Mom and Peyton took the time to sit on the deck and have a long conversation with his Dad. His mother was right there supporting Peyton along with his Dad. As Dr. Mom and Jaiden were walking around the neighborhood, his mom commented on how beautiful the landscape was in the area. She told Jaiden that he needed to continue running and maybe increase his distance a bit to better control his stress. She told him that exercise was the best stress relief. She grinned when she looked at her son and said, "sex is also an awesome stress relief." Jaiden turned red, chuckled, and then told his Mom she was right - if you weren't too tired to have sex. They both laughed. As they passed by a particular house, Jaiden said, "Mom, that is Dr. Brannon's home." "Really?" "Yes, mam." His Mom said, "what the heck, I'm going to knock on the door." She did, too, and when Dr. Brannon opened the door, he got the shock of the evening. "May I help you?" "Yes, I understand there is a person here whom I knew in medical school. He dated a young dark-haired Jewish girl with an attitude." Dr. Brannon's eyes lit up as he said, "Peggy? Peggy Anderson? Peggy who married Abraham? "Yes, it's me, Peggy Reynolds." Dr. Brannon was incredulous that she would be standing on his doorstep after 35 years. Please, you and Jaiden come inside. Don called for his wife Margaret who came into the living room where Don introduced her to Peggy and Jaiden. They swapped old stories about med school and shared a few laughs before Peggy said she needed to finish her walk with Jaiden. "Margaret, it has been so nice to meet you, you married a good man." "Thank you, Peggy, please drop by when you are back in the area. "Jaiden, we are very proud of what we have seen and heard about you and Peyton, congratulations." "Thank you, Mrs. Brannon, I appreciate your nice comments." With that, Jaiden and his Mom continued their walk around the neighborhood. Back home, Peyton was talking with his Mom and Dad about all the media attention and how it had made him anxious at times and how he wished it would just go away so he and Jason could refocus on their lives. His Dad asked how Jaiden was coping with the attention. Peyton told his Dad that if it had not been for Jaiden, he would have gone nuts long ago. "Dad, Jaiden has been so supportive. When I got upset and needed a shoulder to cry on, he was there to console me. Sometimes he will hold me and let me get things out of my system; and when he does that everybody at home and the school knows to back off. He is extremely protective of me and my wellbeing. Mom, Dad, I don't think I could be more blessed than having Jaiden as my spouse. I feel so loved. It is hard for me to describe. He is such an awesome person." "Son, your Mom, and I couldn't be more pleased to hear that." "Dad, even Dale, and Charley step in to help me control the stress and the anxiety the attention causes. Dale is always quick to prepare a favorite meal, to play certain music, or tune in to the perfect relaxing movie. Charley, let's say he hits reality in the face with a sledgehammer. He talks you through a situation and then tells you to "pull your thumb out of your ass and get on with life." Peyton's Mom and Dad howled at that comment. Phyllis told Jim, "that sounds like something you would say." "Well, honey, I never thought of it before but I will now." Peyton looked at his Mom and said, "Mom, I'm sorry about teaching Dad a new euphemism." "That's ok, son, that one is better than a few of the others he uses." Dad laughed at Mom's comment. Jaiden and his mom finished their walk and went through the den and out on the deck. Jaiden went over to Peyton, put his arms around him, kissed him on his forehead, and said, "I love you." Mom Riley's eyes turned red when she saw what Jaiden did and heard what he said. Dr. Mom smiled and remembered how Abe would do and say the same thing to her. It has been a good evening. Dr. Mom and the Rileys headed to the Hilton and told their sons they would see them at lunch tomorrow since they had a chance to sleep in a for a change. The Anderson and the Leonard parents stayed up until about 10 before they went to bed leaving their sons and adopted sons some private time. The four Amigos decided to watch a love movie they had bought on CD and have some cuddle time. They'd never had any type of sexual mischief when Charley and Dale's parents were around so they decided to play it safe and be quiet tonight. They could and did lock the doors to each side of the den and they closed the curtains on the French Doors. When they got comfortable, sans clothing, they laid in the den beds and watched the movie. By the time it was over they were very sleepy and decided to call it a night. As they laid in the dark, they got a bit amorous but there are certain things they just wouldn't do in the presence of each other. Peyton slid his hand below the covers and began exploring Jaiden's body. From the sounds emanating around the room, Charley was making Dale extremely comfortable and relaxed. Jaiden quietly called Dale's name and threw him a plastic bag with a wet washcloth inside. He also had one for him and Peyton. Charley and Peyton continued exploring the Grand Tetons and after about 20 minutes, two volcanos blew their domes and spewed lava everywhere and that wasn't the last they would see of volcanic eruptions. Dale and Jaiden reversed their roles and began exploring the hills of Montana and the totem poles of the Indian reservations. You could hear the wolves of the countryside whimpering their approval. The wolves kept up their whimpers for about 30 minutes until they gave one last grunt sound and then went quiet. That was when the pack leaders started cleaning their mates before retiring for a night of sound, peaceful sleep. They would awake the next morning when the sun rose, the birds started singing, and the mountain air was fresh and cool. Their energy when they awoke would be boundless when they smelled bacon and chicken eggs in the near vicinity with what smelled like toasted oats, with a strong essence of peaches. As the wolves got up, stretched, and donned their coats, the headed in the direction of the wonderful smells they had detected. When they found the spot of the aromas, they opened their eyes fully and discovered Ginny was there cooking breakfast, pouring orange juice and making coffee, Maui coffee, and the unmistakable smell of banana-macadamia nut waffles which Charley and Dale's parents had yet to try. When their parents had risen from their slumber and came down to investigate the heavenly smells wafting upstairs, the boys went to their rooms to get a change of clothing so they could shower after breakfast, downstairs of course. Dale and Charley asked their parents if they slept well and they all said yes and asked what kind of mattresses were on the beds. Charley told them they were Saatva mattresses with 1200 thread count Egyptian combed cotton sheets. The Andersons and the Leonards both said they were going to have to look into getting both when they got home because the beds were so comfortable that they wanted to stay in bed. Dale told his parents and in-laws that he and Charley had the same problem. Charley spoke up and said Dale was correct, but when they were tempted to sleep in during the week there was a bear who would wake them up and force them out of bed to go to school. Charley's Mom said, "a bear?" "Yes, mam and the bear's name is Jaiden." The parents laughed at the comment and looked over at Jaiden and said, "thank you, Jaiden, we appreciate you doing that." Jaiden said, "You're welcome. A little ice water gets them up very quickly." Mom Leonard laughed at that comment and said she had never thought of that, but it might come in useful once she got home. Dad Leonard looked at her and said, "You wouldn't!" Mom Leonard just looked at him and smiled.
