When You Least Expect By Josh Blake Chapter 45 As much as we hated it, our time in England was ending. We had all made it to the lobby without incident and, surprising, with everyone on time. Even Bonnie made it down by the appointed time! We boarded the shuttle and rode the short distance to Heathrow. We all made it through security without issue, found our gate, and settled in to wait for our flight. We were able to wonder around a little and find some breakfast. Even though it was early, we knew it would be a while before we had the chance to eat any decent food again. "Daddy, I have to go to the bathroom!" Jack announced when we returned to our gate. I took his hand and lead him toward the restroom. I stood back while he did his business, then helped him zip his pants and wash his hands. I looked in the mirror to see the door of one of the handicapped stalls open slowly. Austin slowly stuck his head out before seeing that I was the one at the sink with Jackson. He then fully opened the door and stepped out. Lucas followed him. Austin had a grin on his face. Lucas looked a little flushed and looked at the floor in embarrassment. "Really guys? You couldn't wait?" I said in a scolding tone. "Sometimes you can't wait, Daddy," Jackson said. "He's right," Austin said. "Sometimes nature calls!" "I don't know what I'm going to do with you two," I said. "Come on, let's get back to the gate. They'll be boarding us soon." "Oh, there you boys are," Bonnie said when we returned to the group. "I didn't know where you went." "They were in the bathroom together," Jackson said. "I guess Uncle Austin needed help and Lukie was helping him." "Oh, is that right?" Bonnie said, shifting her gaze to her younger son. "Well, I just hope he got the help he needed." Austin actually blushed a little with that remark. It was uncharacteristic of him to be embarrassed, but I guess having his mom know about his activities was a bit much for him. He and Lucas both seemed relieved when the calls for boarding began. "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard British Airways Flight 98 bound for New York City! We will be landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport in approximately 8 hours. We are anticipating a smooth flight." "I'll sure be glad to be home," Mom said, bucking her seatbelt. She was in the row across the aisle from Braden, Jackson, and me. Jackson sat between us, playing with my phone. "You'll have to turn that off in a minute, buddy," I said. "I know, Daddy! Just a minute! I almost beat this one!" Jack said. His tongue was sticking out the side of his mouth and he appeared very focused as he tried to defeat whichever monster, alien, or villain challenged him in the game he was playing. "Dang it!" I lost!" Jackson cried. "It's alright, buddy," I said. "You'll get it next time!" He handed me my phone. I put it on airplane mode before putting it in my pocket. "You can have it back after we're in the air." "I'm surprised we didn't hear anything from Savanna while we were gone," Braden said. "I hope everything's alright." "She said she'd text or FaceTime if anything happened," I said. "I guess everything is fine. We'll see her soon." "So, what's our game plan for when we get home?" Braden asked. "I guess you have to go right back to work, right?" "Afraid so," I said. "I've been gone too long as it is. I'll rest up as much as I can when we get home. I'll stay home Tuesday and go back to the office Wednesday morning." "I bet Anita has a ton of work waiting for you," Braden said. "I'm sure she does. With any luck my assistant took care of some of it, but it will be bad enough," I said. "Let's have David and Robert over one evening this week," Braden said. "We haven't seen much of them lately. I miss them." "Me too!" Jack exclaimed. "I love Uncle David and Uncle Robert!" "Then I guess that settles it," I said. "We can grill some steaks and have salad and potatoes. Nothing too hard. What about Thursday evening?" "Works for me," Braden said. "Mom, does Thursday evening work for you for company?" I asked. "You know I'm good with anything," Mom said. "Ladies and gentlemen," the captain spoke. "We have been cleared for takeoff and will begin to taxi to our runway momentarily. Please fasten your seatbelts, secure all belongings, and ensure that your tray table is in the upright position." I checked Jack's seatbelt to make sure he was fastened in. He was. He was also beginning to fall asleep, which I had hoped he would do. There's no way he would stay asleep the entire 8 hours of the flight, but I'd take what I could get. The flight to New York was uneventful. We all slept a little. Jackson played games on my phone some of the time, then found a movie to watch on the seat-back screen. Before we knew it, we were getting ready to land. The flight attendants collected garbage and reminded us to put our tray tables up and buckle up for the landing. We had a layover of about three hours in New York. We found our gate for our flight to Atlanta, then looked for food. The time difference made it seem like it should be mid to late afternoon, but it was only about 10:00 in the morning in New York! We sat down to eat lunch that was more like breakfast based on the time. We finished our food and before we knew it, we were boarding our Delta Airlines flight back to Atlanta. About two and a half hours later we were landing at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. We were almost home! By the time we got our luggage and made our way through the massive airport to our vehicles, it was nearly four in the afternoon. Since it was summer, the humidity hit us like a brick wall when we stepped outside. We had all forgotten how hot and humid it gets in the summer in the south! We made our way out of the airport parking deck and toward the interstate highway that would lead us home! The drive took nearly as long as our flight from New York to Atlanta and traffic was heavy! Rush hour traffic in Atlanta is not for the faint hearted! Finally, after nearly three hours, we pulled into our driveway. It was nearly 7:00 p.m. and we were all exhausted! Savanna met us at the door. Her baby bump was even more prominent now than it was when we left! She had about 16 weeks left in her pregnancy. She knew the gender of the baby, but Braden and I did not. We had decided to have a gender reveal party after we returned from England. Yes, I know those are cliche, but we wanted to do something fun. Jackson's adoption happened so fast that we didn't get to do anything fun like that with him. Not that adopting him wasn't enough, but this time we had the chance to go through the entire process. Savanna hugged Braden then me. Jackson threw his arms around `Vanna' as he called her. She had become like an older sister to him, and I was happy that he had a female in his life other than his grandmothers. Savanna was going to attend culinary school after the baby was born. It would be a loss to all of us as we had grown fond of her and thought of her as family. We had made it very clear to her that she was family and we wanted her around as much as she wanted to be around. We took our luggage inside and then I made a beeline for the den. I collapsed onto the couch. Braden landed on the other end. Jackson ended up between us. Mom came and sat down in her favorite chair. We just sat there for a few minutes not saying anything. I looked over to see that Jackson had fallen asleep. I nudged him, but he didn't wake up. "I'll carry him upstairs and put him to bed," Braden said. Jackson never woke up as Braden took him to his room, got his pajamas on him, and put him to bed. The little guy was exhausted! Braden came back to the den. Savanna joined us a little while later. "So did anything interesting happen while we were gone?" I asked. "No, all was quiet. David came by to check on me a couple times. He's a sweetheart." "Yes, he is," I said. "He's been like a dad to me." "Oh, and a lady named Dorothy left a message for you to call her when you got back," Savanna said. "She called the house phone. I almost didn't know what it was when it started ringing. I forgot there was a such thing as a landline!" "That's Dorothy," I said. "She has our cell numbers and could have texted or called us. But she'd rather use a landline. I don't know why we keep paying the bill on it." "Are you going to call her?" Braden asked. "Not tonight," I said. "It's late here and they're an hour ahead of us. I'll call her in the morning. It's probably nothing really important." Mom excused herself to go to bed a little while later and Braden and I did the same. While we normally made love before going to sleep, both of us were far too tired to do anything. We stripped our clothes off and got into bed. I spooned Braden from behind. Soon both of us were asleep. We didn't wake up until almost 8:00 the next morning! Both of us woke up horny after not doing anything the night before. After kissing each other good morning, Braden didn't say anything. He simply went under the covers and went down on me, taking my hard cock into his mouth. Braden gave great head, and after only a few minutes he had me ready to blow a huge load. "I'm cumming, babe!" I announced as I filled Braden's mouth with a huge load of semen. He swallowed it all. "My turn," I said, pulling him on top of me. He straddled my body and worked his way up until his cock was in my face. I pulled his foreskin back and took him as far into my throat as I could. My nose nestled into his pubes allowing me to breathe in his manly aroma. I reached around with my hands and cupped his bubble butt, squeezing his cheeks. I pulled him toward me, helping him get into a rhythm of fucking my mouth. I could taste his precum oozing from his cock. "Ugh!" Braden grunted. "Gonna shoot!" And shoot he did. He filled my mouth with his delicious cum. I swallowed it all hungrily and wished there was more. I continued to nurse Braden's deflating cock as he came down from his orgasm and rolled off of me onto his side of the bed. "That was fun," I said. I reached over and took Braden's hand. "Yes, it was," he said. "Boys!" Mom called from downstairs. "Breakfast is ready!" "We'll be right down!" I yelled back. "Let's shower real fast," Braden said. We showered pretty quickly, being careful not to do anything to get aroused again. We were hungry and didn't want to delay breakfast any longer than we had to! Mom had lapsed right back into her routine. We had a great breakfast of scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage, cheese grits, and homemade blackberry jam. A southern style breakfast beats an English breakfast any day! "Don't forget to call Dorothy," Braden said. "Oh yeah. I'll call her right after we finish eating," I said. After finishing breakfast and helping clean up, Braden and I went into the den. I used my cell phone to call the main landline number for the bed and breakfast. I figured Dorothy would answer. I was correct. "It's a fine morning on Lookout Mountain's best bed and breakfast! This is Dorothy. How may I help you today?" "Someone is perky this morning," I said. "Josh! I'm so glad you called! How was the trip?" Dorothy asked. "It was great. We have lots of pictures to share. I'll send you some. You know you could have called me on my cell. We showed you how to use FaceTime from your iPhone." "I know, I know," Dorothy said. "But to be honest, I didn't want to bring you any stress on your trip. Rose and I are handling things." She paused. "For now." "What's wrong, Dorothy?" I asked. "You aren't sick again, are you?" "No no. Nothing like that. But we have a guest here who I think you'll be interested in," she said. I looked at Braden who was listening in on the conversation since I had her on speaker phone. "Who?" I asked. "Asher," Dorothy said. "Asher? What is Asher doing there?" I asked. Braden looked at me with wide eyes. "It's a long story, Josh. I'd really rather tell it in person. Any chance you can come up? I know you just got home and all, but I could really use you for this one." "Wow, Dorothy. I don't know. Like you said, we just got home, and I have to go to work tomorrow." "I know it's asking a lot," Dorothy said. "What about Braden? Can he come?" I glanced over at Braden. He shrugged as if implying that he was good with it. "Braden says he'll be there this evening," I said. "You don't even want to give me a hint?" "All I'll say is that it's not good, Josh. No child should have to experience what he's going through." I hung up with Dorothy and called Anita at the office. I really wanted to go to Chattanooga with Braden. Anita informed me that I had three meetings scheduled the next day and two of them were with state auditors. There was simply no way I could be out of the office another day. Braden packed an overnight bag and promised to call me as soon as he got to Chattanooga and knew what was going on. Austin and Lucas went along with him. We decided that if what Asher was dealing with was anything like what Lucas had endured, he might be able to help. Braden debated taking Jackson, but decided he better go see what was going on first. The guys made it to Chattanooga by dinner time. As always, Rose had put together a spread that was fit for royalty. There was fried chicken, potato salad, fried okra, and the southern delicacy known as ambrosia. Unfortunately, Braden hated ambrosia. I, on the other hand, loved it and was highly upset that I was not there to have some. Braden did enjoy the blackberry cobbler that Rose had for dessert. "Asher, why don't you take Austin upstairs and show him that video game thing you play with?" Dorothy said after dinner was finished. Austin picked up on what she was doing and willingly followed Asher upstairs, leaving Rose, Dorothy, Lucas, and Braden at the table. "Alright," Braden said. "What's this all about?" Braden called me later that evening to recount the situation. It seemed that what happened was in a way similar to what happened with Lucas. Asher had his own laptop in his bedroom. He used it to do homework and, as most boys his age do, to watch porn. Asher was a smart kid and normally hid his tracks pretty well. He always cleared his browsing history and even cleared the cache so no trace of his activity would be left on the computer. Asher had discovered stories on a website called Nifty. He had finished reading the latest chapter of one of his favorite series and being really tired, he closed the laptop and went to sleep, neglecting to clear his history. Asher's dad sometimes used the laptop to look at porn himself. Ryan assumed Asher was looking at porn had no problem with it. He just assumed his son was looking at straight porn. Asher knew his dad watched porn on his laptop because his dad wasn't smart enough to clear the history. Asher was always disgusted to find `Busty Babes and Wet Pussy' or `Hot College Cunts' on his screen when he opened the laptop. He couldn't very well say anything to his dad, so he just closed the websites and used a wet wipe to clean his keyboard before doing his own thing. When Asher's dad went to use the laptop, he found it still open to a story on Nifty about two high school-aged boys who fell in love. He almost didn't pay any attention, just assuming the plain text on the screen was some homework assignment his son had been working on. When he read the words on the screen, he became enraged. He started turning red from the neck up. When Asher's mom Celia got home, Ryan confronted her with what he had found. She tried to hold out but ended up admitting that she knew their son was gay and she loved him anyway. When Asher got off the bus from school that afternoon, he walked in the house to find his mom with a black eye and his laptop in pieces on the living room floor. His father had left the house, thankfully. He had gone to the bar, but she knew he would be back. She had instructed Asher to go to his room and pack a bag. Confused as to what was going on, he complied with his mom and packed as many of his clothes as he could. Not knowing of anywhere else to go but knowing that she had to get her son out of that house, she drove him to the bed and breakfast and left him with Dorothy and Rose. She explained that she had to go back. She said that if she didn't, he would hunt her down. She left Asher and drove away. "So, she just left him?" I asked on the phone that night. "Yep, but it gets even better," Braden said. The next day, Rose made a call to child protective services. Rose and Dorothy were foster parents for years before they started having health issues that prevented them from meeting the demands of the job. While they hadn't hosted a child in several years, they had kept up on their certification. Since Asher had been abandoned and CPS had confirmed with his mother that she could not or was not willing to care for him any longer, Dorothy and Rose were allowed to become Asher's foster parents for the time being. "They can't keep him," Braden said. "Rose wants to. So does Dorothy. But they know they can't. He needs someone who can take care of him better than they can." "So, I'm guessing that's where we come in?" I asked. "Yep. Exactly. They want us to take him." Braden said. I was quiet. "Josh?" Braden asked. I was recalling the dream I had right before our vacation. The kid in the dream was Asher. He appeared to be part of our family. "Hello? Josh?" Braden asked again. "Yeah," I said. "I'm here. Just thinking." "Well? What do you think? Can we handle another kid?" Braden asked. "There's a lot that has to work out before we can make that happen," I said. "But I think our family just got a little bigger." That's it for this chapter of "When You Least Expect." The next chapter will be published as soon as possible. Your feedback is always appreciated!
