I tell Dan as I start walking impatiently. "Just give him a few more minutes Grey things can come up." Dan says getting on his phone. I get on the bus, and look at how huge this thing is. There is a wraparound couch that leads into another area that has a mini kitchen, and the bunks I pull back the curtain and feel how soft the beds are, and they are ridiculously soft. They aren't as small as I am used to either. I check out the back of the bus which opens up to a mini fridge and a couch and a flat screen mounted on the wall. "Holy shit man this is so awesome!" Zeke says coming in behind me. I laugh, "Yeah man it is! Get used to it; it will be home for the next few months." I finally see Cameron step on the bus; he turns towards someone and says something I can't hear. I make my way back up to the front of the bus, "Dude you are really pushing the time, we need to leave." I look at him, in his skinny jeans and a plain green shirt, and of course sunglasses I just shake my head. He would be one to wear sunglasses inside. "Sorry." He replies. I roll my eyes, "Whatever man. Look I wanted to say I am sorry about the other night at the press conference, I don't want there to be any bad blood between us. I know your cousin is pissed at me still about the whole boy band thing. I want us to be cool and get along for this tour." He shifts uncomfortably, and still doesn't look at me. The bus door opens, and he looks in the direction of the door. "Yeah, yeah I am sorry okay. I can't help it Haiden was taking so long." I furrow my brow, as Cameron steps on the bus. He isn't wearing sunglasses. "'Sup Grey, I guess you met my twin brother Haiden." I look back over at Haiden and he raises his hand. "Hey." "Wait you have a twin?" I ask. He looks at me like I am stupid. "Yeah I just said that, he is coming on tour with me. Look I know you probably have a lot of questions, so we can go to the back and sit and I will explain everything." "Yeah, I guess that would be reasonable. Sorry it's just I was talking to Haiden, and I thought he was you, and yeah I guess I got mixed up. I wanted to apologize about the other night, I was under a little stress man." "It's all good. Let's head to the back." I make my way to the back of the bus, Zeke is still hanging out. "Whoa am I seeing two Cameron Drakes?" "No, he has a twin. No I did not know I just found out." I tell him sitting down. I notice that Cameron guides Haiden into the room. "So, as you know I have had some trouble in the past. Well Haiden is coming on tour with me to keep me out of trouble, but he is also here to help me write my new album. I need you to know one thing though?" "What is that?" I ask. "I'm blind, if you wondered why Cam was guiding me, or why I am wearing sunglasses inside I am not a douche." Haiden says looking in my direction. Zeke's mouth is hanging open, and mine isn't so far behind it, I slap Zeke on the shoulder. "I didn't mean to stare or anything." This causes Haiden to laugh, "I don't care if you stare it's not like I can see you stare." "So like you can't see anything at all!" Zeke asks. I hit him again on the shoulder, and he yells out as he rubs his shoulder, "No I am completely blind." "Have a seat man." I say looking at Cameron. "I know we didn't discuss this, but I really need him on tour with me. He keeps me grounded, and he helps with the writing." Cameron explains as he guides Haiden to sit next to me. "Why didn't I know you had a twin?" I ask. "Because I asked not to be brought into the spotlight, much like you have a half brother that has not been in the spotlight until now. I have been out with Cameron on almost every tour, it gets tricky to keep me from the spotlight or even my existence but it's my choice I would rather not be in the public eye." Haiden says. "Okay, there will be a lot of press on this tour, I just don't want there to be any complications." I tell them. "Look Grey, I will take full responsibility for my brother. I just need to know if you're okay with this, if not I need to pull out of the tour." Cameron says leaning on his knees. I see Haiden's shoulders sag a little, "Grey come on dude don't be a hard ass. I am on tour and you're my brother. I vote yes!" Zeke says. I see Cameron smile at him and give him a high five. "Fine, just no craziness!" I say laughing. "What craziness from me?" Cameron says laying his hand on his chest. Our playfulness gets Haiden to smile, "Jeez sounds like I am going to be the responsible one." I just hope I am not making a mistake, I notice how Zeke is already looking up to Cameron and I don't know whether to be happy or upset about this. I head towards the front of the bus as Dan gets on, "We ready to go?" He asks. "Yeah, so I take it you knew about this?" I say nodding towards the back. He holds out his hands, "Look, I just found out about this. We just need to roll with it. If we are ready I am going to tell them to move out. I am going ahead to prepare everything. Just play nice Grey; I will see you at the venue." Dan says exiting the bus. I make my way to the back of the bus, "So we are taking off now", I sit next to Haiden again, and I don't mean to stare but I can't help it. I've never really encountered a blind person before, let alone go on tour with one. "It's okay to ask questions. I know you are staring at me." Haiden says looking in my direction. I blush, and look to see if anyone noticed. Cameron and Zeke are already playing a game. "Is there anything I can do to help you?" "Treat me like a normal person." He says. "Well yeah, but I mean to make it more comfortable for you?" He thinks it over for a minute, "Yeah there is. Do you think you can guide me around the bus? Like tell me what is what?" He stands up and, he holds out his arm. I just stand next to him. "You are supposed to take my arm." He says. "Uh...sorry." I say taking his arm. "So what you need to do is walk me through the bus and tell me what is where. Don't be embarrassed, it will help me out a lot. That way I won't need to be so dependent on everyone or slow people down." He tells me. Showing him around the bus didn't take near as long as I thought it would. He kept brushing his messy brown hair out of his face. We didn't talk too much during the "tour" of the bus. "So you keep Cameron in line while on tour huh?" Haiden kind of grins as we sit on the couch, "yeah at least that's what they tell me. Honestly I really don't do anything he just feels that he needs to look out for me." Which is ridiculous if you ask me, I am blind not helpless." "It's a weird question, but do you have any friends?" I ask. He hesitates, "I don't know how to answer that one honestly. I mean I do, I guess most are staff at the house though, and well Cameron is pretty much my best friend." I go to say something, but Zeke walks into the front of the bus, "So dad just called and said the show is sold out tonight!" "What? That is awesome!" I say grinning. "He says you're to help me get ready, dude I am so nervous!" I laugh, "Dude it's no big deal, but yeah let's get you mentally prepared!" I hear Haiden chuckle, "guess I better find Cameron and go over the set with him." ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I watch from the side as Zeke is killing it out there, the fans reacted really well to him. They are dancing and jumping to his drops in the set. Zeke is a total natural performer. I haven't seen Cameron, or Haiden since arriving at the venue, but I guess that's not too bad. I feel someone tap my shoulder and I turn around, and bushy tailed bright eyed Alec is in front of me. He hugs me, "Dude this is so insane!" I laugh, "Hey man, how was the ride?" "It was long, but this is so cool! Is that your brother?" He asks nodding towards the stage. "Yeah, that is Zeke." I say smiling. "He is cute." Alec says smiling. "In your dreams dude, he is straight as can be." "All the cute ones are." "Hey Dr. B. I say as she walks up." "Hello Grey how are you?" "Doing good, a little nervous since it's is my first live show since everything happened..." She pulls me into a hug, "It will be fine, you will be fine. Thank you so much for the passes." "It's no problem. It's the least I could do after everything you've done for me Dr. B." I say. We stand and watch the rest of Zeke's set, he is starting his last song, when Alec says they want to get to their seats so he can watch Cameron Drake. I laugh at this, "Go do it man but you better stay for my set!" "I wouldn't think of leaving!" he says loudly. "Dr. B!" I yell before she gets farther. She turns around and walks back over, "What's wrong Grey?" A give her a full on hug, "Thank you for everything." I tell her. "I didn't do anything I just listened and asked questions, you did all the hard work." She says smiling. "But you believed in me." I say blushing. She rubs my shoulder, "There was never any doubt you would overcome everything. Zeke finishes his set and comes bounding over to me, "Dude holy shit that was so AMAZING!" he says wrapping me in a sweaty hug. I can't help, but laugh hard. "Dude you did amazing out there man, it was like you have done that a million times. " "I just wow, man I can't even explain it! Dad did you see?" Zeke says as he runs to our dad hugging him. "Yes you did really great out there!" "Go shower!" he tells Zeke. I watch as the techs start setting up for Cameron, I watch as Cameron is with his manager, and an older Gentleman. It has to be Cameron's dad, Haiden has his head down. I can't hear what they are saying but Cameron doesn't look happy at all. I watch as the man walks away and Cameron looks pissed. "You nervous?" My dad asks. I nod my head, "yeah, but I guess that is to be expected huh?" He puts his arm over my shoulder, "it is, but I know you will be just fine. Five other shows have already sold out! Also I have a vocal coach flying in for the next show to be with you and your brother. It has been a long time since you have sung, I don't want you to damage anything by overdoing it." "Yeah that sounds good dad." I tell him. "Well I am going to go check on Zeke I will be watching you tonight, I am excited to see my son." Dad says gripping my shoulder again. Cameron walks passed me, "Kill it man." "I will." He says flatly. His hair is extra messy for the show, he is wearing black skinny jeans, with converse shoes, along with a tight fitting shirt, he picks up his guitar and takes the stage. I can hear the crowd cheer for him. "It so good to see your beautiful faces!" he shouts as he slams down a chord. I watch his first two songs go through flawlessly, "My brother is a lot of things, but he sure knows how to work a crowd over." Haiden says from my left side. "How did you know I was here?" I ask. He laughs, "I knew someone was here didn't know who, but shouldn't you be getting ready?" "Yeah I should, but I wanted to see how his set went." I say looking over at Haiden. "It's Cameron Drake his show doesn't stray much." "Guess you have watched a lot of the shows." I say. "Not watched, but heard. But yeah I know what you mean." "I'm sorry, I forgot." I say mentally kicking myself. "Not like that's a bad thing." I watch as he picks up a mic, "what are you doing?" "Singing on a song, it's what you do with a mic." He says smiling. I step back as he starts to sing, I can't even tell him or Cameron apart when they sing. He really is damn good. I feel another tap on my shoulder and this makes me jump, its Dan waving for me to follow him. "Grey you need to get changed; you have twenty till you are on." Changing into different clothes didn't take too long; I was getting more nervous by the minute. I was visibly shaking now, as I was making my way to the stage. "You've got it bro." Zeke says as I am waiting for the lights to dim. The lights, finally dim. It feels like it took forever, I make my way on stage and start to count. The music blares as my old hit single starts to play from the live band. The lights flip on and the crowd's roar is deafening. This makes me smile, as I grab the mic, "LA it is so good to see you!" I yell out. I am soaked with sweat from all the dancing I have been doing by the fifth song, "I have nailed everything so far. The crowd has been insane, I see Alec and make sure I give him a high five as a give the front row high fives. I finally get to the part where it is an acoustic song, the techs bring out a stool for me, and Zeke hands me the acoustic guitar. I strum a few strings, "Sorry guys I am a little rusty at this." I say smiling. "So as most of you know this is my first live show, since everything happened to me last year. Well I honestly thought I was done, I never in my wildest dream thought I would be back on this stage tonight seeing all of your beautiful faces. It took a lot to get me to where I am today, so I wrote this song called "To the Stage." I loved it so much that I named my new album after it, and I just found out my album has gone to number one across the pop charts! That is thanks to you, all of you! This is for you!" I start to strum the guitar, and kick in the singing. I hit all the notes, and I get chills shooting through me, I smile as I see so many flashes from the cameras. I see a numerous amount of fans in tears, and I smile at them. I finally walk out to the platform while still strumming the guitar. I take a bow, and tell the crowd thank you. I wait on the side of the stage to hear the crowd chant for an encore, and I let them chant for a good few minutes, and I go back out as the lights pop back on. The crowd roars again, "Okay, okay so I have one more song for you all. Some of you might have heard it, some of you might know this song, I mean some of you might even have memorized this song. It's new so I don't know? I would like to welcome my little brother Zeke back to the stage to sing with me on this one!" They all go nuts for the song, as it starts Zeke steps on stage with me, and we both start to sing, and do the routine we both learned. The song is going over so great, and I hear another voice as Cameron steps on stage to sing the bridge with us. I can't even be upset about it, this makes the crowd go even more insane. I wrap my arm around his shoulder, he whispers, "It was all Zeke's idea don't hate me." I just laugh and we finish up the song, "Thank you LA!" I yell into the mic, and the three of us take a bow. We walk off stage, "I am sorry, but Zeke and I thought it would be cool." Cameron says. I just laugh, "Nah it was cool. I am surprised you even knew the song." His smile stops, "I didn't..." "I knew the song." Haiden says waving the mic at me. "That was impressive. I thought it was Cameron singing." "I read the bridge, and chorus before coming out so I could memorize them, just couldn't sing them so fast." Cameron says. "Well just think of the show we can put on when you actually learn the song!" I say smiling. "I am going to shower and head to the bus. I am wiped!" I tell them as I take off to shower. I get out of the shower with a towel wrapped around my waist, and go into my changing room to grab my clothes when I see Dan sitting on the couch. "What are you doing here?" I ask. "I'm here to make sure no one comes in the room." He says. "Oh, I thought I locked the door." I tell him. "I had them let me in, I did a sweep of the room, and the bathroom. Sorry baby boy I am not taking any chances at all, I will personally escort you from the dressing room to the bus each night. I will never let what happened to you ever happen again." "Thanks, Dan." I tell him heading back into the bathroom. I change into some gym shorts and a comfortable shirt, and make my way into the dressing room, "I'm ready" I say grabbing my bag. "Alec, and Dr. B are outside of the dressing room waiting to say goodbye." Dan says. I open the door and they are there waiting patiently for me, "Did you enjoy the show?" I ask. "It was so amazing, you were amazing!" Alec says smiling. "You did so great Grey." Dr. B tells me. We talk for a few minutes before Dan tells me its Bus call. I hug each one of them and take a picture with Alec and tell him he can post it on whatever social networks he wants and say he won VIP passes. Dan escorts me to the bus, and I get on. It isn't as loud as I thought it would be. Zeke is lounging in the back, "Hey bro." he says. "What's up?" I ask. "Nothing trying to get a hold of my girlfriend she won't answer the phone, Cameron is on the phone to his, and I think Haiden is already asleep." Zeke says. I watch him as his phone keeps blowing up from different friends, I check my twitter and it is going crazy with different pictures that were taken of me tonight. I tell Zeke I am headed to the bunk beds to lay down. I choose a bottom one across from Haiden, I am guessing he is asleep the curtain is pulled shut, I get in mine and shut the curtain and take my shirt and gym shorts off and plug my phone into the charger. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I wake up sweating from a nightmare. I check my phone and it's a little after 1am, I move the curtain back from my bunk and slide out to get fresh air. I look towards the front and I see a dim lamp on by the couch. I walk in and Cameron is sitting on the couch in just his boxer briefs, playing on his phone. I take the opportunity to look him over. His abs are so perfect, his smooth body makes me want to touch him so bad. "I might be blind but I know you're there, I can hear you breathing heavily." "Haiden?" I ask. "Yeah, that would be me. What are you doing up so late Grey?" "Couldn't sleep, I thought you were Cameron." I say sitting next to him. He laughs, "How so?" "Well I saw you looking down at the phone, and you don't have your glasses on either. So I just figured you were Cameron, and your eyes are just like normal blue eyes." I tell him feeling a bit embarrassed. "Well what else would they look like?" He asks. "I don't know, I just didn't think they would be blue like your brothers." I mumble. He giggles, "I am just messing with you. A lot of people have never seen my eyes. I mean I have never seen them, but no there's nothing crazy about them so sorry to disappoint." I laugh with him, "Awe dang. So what are you doing on your phone?" "Reading articles, well rather listening to them about the concert or movie review. I was reading earlier, but I got tired of it." "How was the article about our concert?" I ask. He shrugs his shoulder, which makes me look at his smooth chest, I have to place my hands on my lap or I might just touch him. "Said it was great, also said maybe Cameron won't be such a bad boy anymore with your influence." We both laugh at the same time, "So why are you awake?" He asks. "I had a nightmare." I tell him pulling my knees to my chest. "About what happened to you?" "Yeah, how did you know?" I ask. "Lucky guess, I mean this was your first show since everything happened. Plus you were amazing out there, well you sounded like it. It will get easier man." "Thanks, I hope so. Can I ask a question?" "You just did." He says smiling at me. "Smart ass! Who was the guy you and Cameron were talking to before the set? You didn't look so happy to see him." The playful smile leaves his face, "That was our dad. He pretty much came to tell Cameron not to fuck up this tour or he would lose everything, and told me not to be a burden on my brother that he has a very important job to do." "That's so messed up, you're not a burden!" I say getting defensive. He waves it off, "Don't even think about it man, he does this every first show of a tour. Cameron rebels against our parents, and well I just kind of stay out of the way. They provide what I need to get by, and I am kind of ignored. I'm the dirty stain on the sheet to my parents, except for Cameron, who I can honestly say loves me. Cameron is a lot of things, but he is so protective over me, and a great brother." "I'm sorry, I didn't know you were treated like that." I say. "Dude, do you see the life we all live? My parents don't really matter to me, I get paid for helping Cameron out, and I get to tour the world." "You're really down to earth I honestly didn't think you would be." I tell him. "I didn't think you would be cool either, I heard about the press conference." "Yeah not one of my better days." I tell him. "We all have them, but hey I am going to head to bed. Long day tomorrow." He says getting up. I watch him unfold his walking stick and start to move it around to make sure he didn't run into anything, but honestly my focus was on his bubble butt it looked so great in his briefs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This is probably the longest chapter I have done in a while I hope you enjoyed another shout out to my editor who did an amazing job!
