Subject: Anthony and Me Part 1

The day I started high school I was a shy insecure eighth grade learner who
was suddenly exposed to guys and girls from different backgrounds all in
their teens, out of my comfort zone and missing all my friends that I left
behind at my old school when I moved to a new neighbourhood

The day progressed without anything happening until gym glass in our final

"How far do you walk to get home?

"About 30 minutes or so"

learning more about each other. I learned that like me he too was an only

would not be for another few days. Of course not knowing where he stays
meant I could not go find out if he was okay.

That afternoon I walked home and as I got closer to home, my neighbour
Donny happened to pull up at the same time. We greeted each other and he

I said yeah that will be great. We spent an hour talking when he shocked me

week. We agreed to this and then met Anthony's Mom

At this point my heart sank to my feet knowing that I wouldn't be able to
see Anthony every day. But I knew that I was going to see him as soon as I
was finished here. Anthony's mom explained that she was going to be heading
home and then leaving on a much needed business trip

Anthony would be at home alone with the nurse. I smiled so much!

Mario and I headed back to class and waited for the final bell to ring.

Before I left I went to my locker dumped the books that I didn't need and
ran out through the gates towards my Anthony! I couldn't wait to see him!

As I held the piece of paper containing Anthony's home address I was

"This sounds serious" I said

"Anthony, you're scaring me"

"Okay"

"This is the reason I asked Mario to give you the note to come see today"

"Now I am even more scared and nervous"

Then he did something that I have been thinking about, dreaming about and

and had made a full recovery. He would be returning to school on Monday
morning. I was the happiest guy in the entire world.

Monday morning, I arrived at school and there he was waiting for me, we
greeted each other and went to class. Throughout the day I could see that
there was something he wanted to say but he just didn't find the time to
say it because each time we had a free moment someone or something

After school he slipped me a note and told me to read it when I was alone
at home. We had agreed that we would only spend weekends together because
during the week school work came first.  His mom dropped me at home and I
