Hugz, Ryan When Ritchie woke up from the deep slumber that the seditive had placed him in, he didn't really quite know if what had happened was all a dream or not. How he wished that Nathan would enter the room and the two of them could start fighting all over again, just the way it has always been ever since he had met the latter. But the flashbacks of that Spanish fucker climbing on top of Nathan, who by that time was badly hurt, exhausted and dehydrated, Ritchie launching himself at the Spaniard and the fight that started for life and death. Ritchie remembered the devistating kick he got from the man in his balls, who then pulled the gun on him and pulled the trigger. But somehow he was still alive. What the fuck happened...NO!! Ritchie started to burn up when he finally remembered the body of Nathan lying on the white pearly sand with the blood seeping from him. His temperature skyrocketed as he couldn't deal with the fact that Nathan, the boy he loved, might be dead. Suddenly the door burst open and two nurses came running inside, talking in a language that Ritchie didn't understand. All that he wanted was to get to Nathan, and see if he was alright, and if not, to see his body. He wanted to tell him he loved him one more time. Ritchie felt another prick on his left arm, and within seconds his body had drawn to a standstill, he calmed down and stopped thrashing around on the bed. His eyes felt very heavy, but he fought against closing them. But resistance was futile as he finally gave in, with Nathan being the last thing on his mind. When Ritchie woke up for the second time, he looked straight into the eyes of their Tourism teacher, Mr Coleman. He tried to sit up quickly, but that was not the best idea in his condition. "Ritchie, for the love of God, would you calm down! Nathan was shot, but he will be fine, okay? Just calm down!" "Nathan...Nathan was shot? By who?" Ritchie asked, determined and shocked to hear this state of events. "Ritchie, I'll tell you, but you have got to calm down! Please," Mr Coleman sighed before carrying on. "The man who kidnapped Nathan, his name is Cristo Rodriguez. Apparantly there was some jewelery stolen years and years ago from the Spanish Kingdom, for whom Cristo's grandfather worked at the time. After the treasure was stolen, they had fleed from Spain trying to get a country where nobody would look for them, where nobody would be able to find their gold, ofcourse, they were Spanish, they could not risk staying in their own country. They were apparantly on their way to the Dominican Republic, where Cristo's grandfather had some family, but halfway there they were attacked, robbed and subsequently killed by pirates who was roaming the seas in that time as they were travelling by ship in those days. Cristo's father told him he had found out that the pirates had hidden the treasure at some point in the Carribean area, because with all that gold, it would have been impossible to find any more due to the weight. It will seem that they chose to hid the diamonds and other jewelery inside those two hollow statues before they took off. At least, that it was Cristo had confessed to the Bermudan police yesterday." "Cristo is alive?" Ritchie whispered, his voice suddenly numb. "Yes son, he is alive, but very weak. When you jumped on Cristo and started fighting with him for the gun, he kicked you in your genetals, so you would give in, and he sebsequently pulled the gun on you. Just as he was about to pull the trigger...Nathan...Nathan pushed Cristo out of the way in into the ocean. The gun had accidently gone off, and Nathan was shot in his leg. Don't worry, he is fine, and the bullet has been removed." "Oh thank God...but then how did Cristo get shot?" "The fucking hotel security...I don't know what the hell they get paid for. One of the guards FINALLY showed up and shot Cristo in his chest. Like I said, he is very weak, but at least now we know about why he and that diver was always buggering around the hotel and those two statues." "What will happen to the jewelery now?" "Well, its part of the Spanish Kingdom still after all these years. I suspect the Bermudan Ambassy will make contact with them and let them now they can collect it. Workers of the hotel are busy removing it now under strict security. Anyway, you were brought to the hospital to have you checked out, especially because of that kicked you recieved to your balls. You were given a clean bill of health, your little friends down there were just a bit bruised," Mr Coleman said, smiling as he did, before patting Ritchie on his shoulder. "Mr Coleman...remember before at the hotel...I wanted to talk to you about something?" "Yes I do. You wanna do it now or shall we wait until you're released?" "Sir, im in love with Nathan." Mr Coleman stopped in this tracks. He had long suspected this but he had rather chosen not to bring it up infront of his two star pupils. He looked at Ritchie with tenderness and fear. Oh my boy, this is only the beginning of the difficulties that lies ahead for you in life, he thought silently. Ritchie took Mr Coleman's silence as a token that he was disgusted with him. He turned on his side and quietly began to cry, clutching the pillow with both his hands. If his Tourism teacher had taken this so badly, what about his parents, his friends, family...and Nathan himself? He wiped off his tears before he saw Mr Coleman seating himself in the chair next to the bed, before taking both of Ritchie's hands into his own. "Ritchie, now you listen to me. You have nothing to be ashamed of. Love is a wonderful feeling, one that triumphs and defeats all others. I had my suspicions about you two. Even though you couldn't stop fighting and bitching and calling each other names and competing all the time, there was this mutual respect, which told me otherwise. Ritchie, what Im saying is that although Nathan might not know it yet, I really think he feels the same way about you aswell. What would you feel if someday you find out that Nathan has changed schools?" "I'd be sad because there would be no one to compete with." "Exactly Ritchie! You two were made for eachother. You bring the best out of eachother. Without Nathan you would most probably still be the top student in class, but I reckon you wouldn't have scored the marks you did. The rivalry with Nathan has pushed you both to try and out do the other. And when you both leave school and go to universities? What's the chances you'll go to the same one? That's when Nathan will realise just how much he really misses and cares for you." Ritchie sighed, having taken all this in while Mr Coleman was talking. He remembered the look on Nathan's face when he told him how he really felt about him. Nathan simply walked out that night and the next time he saw him was on the beach before he got shot. Then Ritchie sat upright very carefully, not even minding the throbbing pain in his head. "Sir...did you say...Nathan pushed this Cristo guy out the way just as he was about to kill me?" Mr Coleman released Ritchie's hands before answering. "Yes son, he did. I was trying to get the security's attention before I saw him dash down to you. He literally Rugby tackled Cristo away from you, and unfortunately the bullet shot him in the leg. Ritchie, you two need to talk this through. Does he know how you feel about him?" "I did tell him, last night before Cristo kidnapped him. He just walked out..." Mr Coleman finally stood up and walked to the door, opening it before turning around to face Ritchie. "You will never know unless you take the chance," he said before stepping out, closing the door behind him, leaving Ritchie with his thoughts. *** The story about what had happened at the hotel spread like wildfire all over the tropical island of Bermuda. Some Spanish reporters had actually arrived from Madrid, Barcelona, Almeria, Tenerife, you name it. Everyone was interested in the story that had gathered Bermuda this kind of publicity they have not had for a very long time. Ritchie was finally released from hospital, but Nathan still had to stay because of complications with his leg, as Septicemia (the poisoning of blood) was diagnosed in his leg, and they had to operate again. As Ritchie entered the lobby of the hotel, Cindy, Jessica, Mr Coleman and the rest of the staff all stood up and clapped hands, welcoming him back like a hero. They were treated to a free five star meal before the police wanted some more statements from Ritchie, who was so fucking tired, but knew he had to give them all the info he had. Once it was past eleven in the evening, Ritchie made his way to his and Nathan's room. He could smell Nathan's cologne in hanging in the air as he opened the door. Just as he thought he could get a moment's peace, he heard a voice behind him. "Lets go inside...I wanna show you something..." Ritchie allowed Cindy to enter and close the door quickly behind him. Cindy was standing infront of him wearing a very thick furcoat. Before he could do or say anything, she allowed it to drop from her body, leaving Ritchie staring at the nakedness of his girlfriend. As if it was all yet another dream, Ritchie saw Cindy walking over towards him. Her eyes was gazed on his trousers and what lied within them. She gently reached her hand to his crotch and started to feel his package, one that she had had in her mouth and pussy many times before. About after a minute of caressing she knew there must be something wrong. Ritchie's dick was still soft and felt like it didn't harden even an inch. She looked up into Ritchie's face and show that he was silently crying while he was shaking his head. "What's wrong, love? Is it too soon after what happened?" she asked, caressing his cheek. Ritchie just continued to shaking his head, in sheer disbelief. Finally he reached out and grabbed Cindy's hand before leading her to the sofa, where he made her sit down before he knelt infront of her. "Cindy...I cannot do this anymore. I know im gonna hurt you more than you have ever been, but I have no choice." Cindy, who was in a sort of trance hearing these words, immediately ripped her hands from Ritchie's, looking at her boyfriend with curiosity and doubt. "Ritchie...don't even think about breaking up with me or something. Please love, tell me this isn't a break up. I beg you!" "Im sorry! Fuck, Im so, so sorry. Im in...Im in love with someone else, and Im sorry, but we...I can't do this anymore!" Ritchie said, choking back his sobs. "Who? Who the fuck is the slut? One of the waitresses around here? One of the tourists who paid you to sleep with her? Tell me, you fucking coward, who it it?" Ritchie stood up and walked over to the counter, where he placed his head in his hands. The sobs that he was doing his best to choke back didn't want to any more. Cindy was not caring either way though. She rushed from the sofa and pulled him around to face her. "I asked...WHO IS IT??" she whispered, her voice sounding more dangerous than ever before. Every emotion, every feeling, every fear that Ritchie had been through these last couple of days seemed to catch up with him, he didn't wanna fight to deny the truth any longer. He wiped his tears, looked straight into Cindy's eyes and answered: "Its Nathan." He expected Cindy to retaliate, to say something, to tell him he was lying, to accuse him of cheating on her or SOMETHING. She just remained quiet, with a dash of utter defiance in her eyes. Her hands dropped from his body, allowed it to hang loosely and pathetically next to her. She didn't remove her gaze from Ritchie's however. Finally she got some life in her body, when she turned around and grabbed her furcoat, putting it on, before nearing Ritchie yet again. Her eyes was blazing this time.. "You fucking faggot," she said before she spat on his face. The white, slimy drool dripped and slided off the side of his cheeks. Cindy grabbed the door and walked out, leaving it open. Ritchie grabbed the dishcloth and wiped the spit and saliva off his face. He then close the door and walked into the bedroom, allowing his body to fall flat onto the matress, and within seconds, the teenager was fast asleep. *** The sun was shining brightly into the bedroom until one of its rays flowed over Ritchie's teenage face, which woke him up. The first thing he noticed was the smell of coffee, Jacobs Kreuning to be precise. He flung himself off the bed before running to the kitchen. And there he saw the love of his life, the boy who had stolen his heart the minute he had layed eyes on him. Nathan was busy toasting some bread and didn't see Ritchie behind him. When he turned around to grab the peanut butter, he saw the latter standing in the doorway, looking straight at him. The two of them stood there what must have felt like an eternity, before Ritchie decided to make the first move. Mr Coleman was right. He would never know what might have been should he not at least try. Ritchie walked over to Nathan, still with the two slices of toast in his hand. Neither had the courage to say the first word. Ritchie then fiercely grabbed Nathan and embraced the boy, holding him tightly. The two slices of bread fell out of Nathan's hand and onto the floor as he returned the hug with equal passion and needyness. Both boys felt it. The need to be there for eachother, to feel the other's heartbeat, to feel the love they shared. Ritchie was the one to break the embrace and run his hand upwards to Nathan's cheek, caressing it with his palm. "When did you get out of hospital?" Ritchie whispered. "Early this morning. Apparantly there's nothing more they can do for my leg, except to wait for nature to take its course. I have to use those in the meanwhile," Nathan said, pointing to the two crutches that was neatly placed beside the fridge where he could easily get hold of them. Ritchie suddenly didn't know what to say to Nathan. Yesterday there would have been so much, but today there was just...nothing. He walked away from Nathan and placed two new slices of bread into the toaster. He took the milk out of the freezer and poured it into their coffee, before adding one spoon of sugar to his and three to Nathan's. Only then did he see Nathan standing beside him, with a huge ass smile on his face. "How did you know I take three sugars?" Nathan asked. "Dude, we have known eachother for two years, we have been on fuck loads of Rugby tours together, I just know," Ritchie said quietly. He felt an arm crossing over his shoulder, squeezing him tightly. Ritchie stopped stirring the coffee and nervously looked over into Nathan's eyes. They were tender and sparkling in the sunlight which was streaming into the room. "You were prepared to die for me, weren't you? You jumped on Cristo knowing he had a gun. Why did you do that, Ritchie Rich?" Nathan whispered, his head very close to Ritchie's, who could hardly get a word out being so close to Nathan. Eventually his tongue got its life back and he simply answered: "Because I love you, Nathan Barton." Nathan released Ritchie, took his coffee and walked over to the sofa. Ritchie also picked up his cup and sat next to Nathan. Ritchie then slowly reached over and took Nathan's hand in his. Nathan didn't pull it back. "Cristo was going to shoot me, Nathan. You tackled him out of the way and got shot in the leg. Why would you do that?" Nathan, still holding on to Ritchie's hand took a sip of coffee and then placed the cup on the coaster. He turned his entire body to the latter and looked deep into his eyes. "Because I love you, Ritchie McCormick. You complete me." The tears fell out of Ritchie's eyes one by one, scattering them over his cheeks. "Come on, Nate. You don't really mean that. You're straight..." Nathan took both Ritchie's hands into his own. "You risked your life to save mine. Ever since I saw you I know there was just that "something" about you. At first we competed in class and then on the Rugby field. It became my obsession to beat you at everything I could. Until a couple of days ago, I was thinking that I hated you because you were rich, you had everything going for you, even a girlfriend which I wanted at the beginning. But Ritchie Rich...I could still go on living my life without Cindy. But if I were to lose you, there would be nothing left to fight for." Ritchie closed his eyes. This wasn't a dream. This was real, this was happening. "We complete eachother, Nathan. That's what Mr Coleman also said." "I know, he came to fetch me this morning. Im sorry I left the hospital that night after you told me you loved me. That was just the last thing I ever expected to hear you say, concidering our history. But when I was kidnapped and had to wait in that hell hole, it hit me. Whatever I've done in the past two years, it was because of you. To beat you, to do better than you, or aspire to reach what you did. You were never out of my mind, Ritchie. Even when I hated you, you were all I could think about." Ritchie leaned forward and pressed him forehead onto Nathan's. He smelled Nathan's freshly showered body, the cleanness of his shirt and smiled to himself before looking up into the latter's eyes again. "Where to from here now?" he asked Nathan. "Well whatever happens, I know one thing for sure. I not letting you get away from me ever again!" Nathan said before pulling Ritchie to him. He playfully tucked a strand of Ritchie's hair behind his ears before lingering his lips onto his. "I love you," Nathan said before gently placing their lips together. For Ritchie this was a two year old dream finally coming true. He kissed Nathan back with every inch and ounce of love he had within him. He pulled Nathan's head towards his, deepening the kiss as he did so. All too soon Nathan pulled away, their chests heaving up and down as they smiled at eachother. "Come on, you gotta get to work. I've been given a week off," Nathan said smiling, while kissing Ritchie's forehead. "Hey no fair! I gotta work and you laying around all day on your back!" Ritchie snapped back. "Uhm dude...I was shot in my leg!" Nathan reasoned. "You could at least come with me, there's no reason why those crutches should stand there for enjoyment!" "Maybe I don't want everybody to see my leg's fucked up!" "Well I dunno why I bother! I should let you fail this assignment, so I can get top marks yet again!" "You just try that Ritchie Rich..." Nathan said before he was cut off by the door opening. Mr Coleman stuck his head inside. "I see nothing has changed. Even now that you are in love with eachother, you're still going on like two bitches in heat. Kiss and make up and then get your asses to breakfast!" he said before winking at them, closing the door. Ritchie and Nathan quickly turned towards eachother and burst out laughing. It was literally uncontrollable! Ritchie grabbed Nathan once more and gave the boy he loved an earthshattering kiss. Nathan embraced Ritchie, holding him tight against his body. "I love you so much," he whispered in Ritchie's ear. "Ditto", said Ritchie before they made their way down to the dining room, the burnt toast and coffee all forgotten. THANKS FOR READING!!
