Kyle and Me

by: 70s Child

The following story is factually based in the beginning, but subsequent chapters will a fantasy. It is based on two real people, one of which is a friend who asked me to write this story. I have used him in another story that I worked that is now finished, Geostrobe.

Now the obligatory warnings. First if you are under the age of 18, you are not supposed to be here, but I am not your mother either. Second, if it is illegal for you to be reading this material in your country or state, I am sorry. Third, if you are put off by homosexual love, then why are you here in the first place. Finally, if you are a total homophobe, I have two words for you: ****SUCK IT!!!****

The following are other stories that I have posted on Nifty:

Air Force Fun (Military) - completed

A Brady Bunch (Celebrity) - completed

Brother v. Brother (Historical, Incest, Interracial)

Geostrobe (Celebrity, Sci Fi) - completed

From the previous chapter:

I began to feel somewhat better and decided to go home. I hugged my friend and told him to take care of Steve. I had signed the new will and it was notarized. Ed made the necessary copies. I left and started to head home. I was at a stop sign and the traffic was clear, besides it was a four-way stop. As I proceeded through the intersection, a bus failed to stop and my car flipped in the air.

CHAPTER 12B(1): The Beginning of the End - Part II (Alternative Ending)

I do not remember how the car landed or how long I was unconscious, but I heard people talking, then the sound of a saw. It dawned on me that I was upside down, but I could not move.

"Don't worry son." the voice yelled at me. "We're gonna get you out quickly."

A heavy blanket was placed over me and the saw began to cut me out of the `Vette. As the door was removed, they slowly began to get me out. I felt the back board under me and they placed a neck brace on me. I wanted to speak, but could not. I tried to move my legs, but they did not respond. I then tried my arms, but they did not react. I thought, Oh my god, I'm paralyzed. Tears ran down my face and sting me. I must have been cut severely because blood flowed over my body. I was loaded in the ambulance and an oxygen mask was placed over my face. I heard scissors cutting the clothes off my body. I became light-headed and closed my eyes. I awoke to tubes in my arms, my mouth, and my nose. I heard voices around me and others probing my body.

"Mr. Robinson, can you hear me?" a woman asked.

I nodded and mumbled yes through the tube in my mouth. I heard a man to prepare me for surgery. All of a sudden I fell asleep. I had a dream of a garden spot and Justin was there with a picnic basket. He was looking in my direction and smiled. I seemed to move in slow motion. I do not know how long I was asleep, but I heard my parents, Justin, and Steve's voices.

"Bryan, wake up son." my mother said quietly. "Time to wake up."

I had been taken to the ICU unit. I blinked and saw them standing around my bed. My mother had been crying and my dad looked like he aged twenty years. Justin and Steve tried to be brave, but I saw they had been crying also.

"I-I-I can't move." I said hoarsely. "What's the matter?"

"You were in a terrible wreck bud." Justin said. "They just finished operating. They thi..."

He stopped and cried unceasingly. I tried to speak but the tube in my mouth was hindering my speech. My dad held my hand and was crying.

"The damage was too extensive." he said through the tears. "They're trying to make you comfortable."

It took several seconds to sink in but I realized what was going on. I let out a groan because that was the only thing I could do. Tears streamed down my face which began to soak my pillow. All I could think at that moment was why me. Ed poked his head in and hugged everyone in the room. He walked over to me and managed a weak smile.

"So Hot Rod, that's what happens when you decide to drag race a bud." he said with tears rolling down his face.

He held my hand, leaned down, and whispered in my ear.

"Don't worry, I'll sue the bastard who did this and the bus company." he said.

Dad explained what was happening and Ed collapsed in a chair. My cousin Stephen and his girlfriend Heather came in, but Heather looked at me and ran from the room. My cousin came over and tried to smile.

"You got to forgive Heather." he said. "Let's face it, you could be Darth Vader before the suit cuz."

I motioned my dad to come over and whispered n in his ear that I wanted to speak to Justin alone. The rest left to the waiting area while Justin stayed behind. He pulled the chair close to the bed so he could hear me.

"Justin, you have been my friend." I said quietly. "And I have loved you. Just tell me one thing, do you love me?"

He looked at me with love in his eyes, but he could not say the words. Ed was right, he loved me but could not express himself. I began to slowly close my eyes and I knew the end was near. It felt like my entire being was getting light and I would float off into space. I heard the monitor slowly beeping and I heard Justin one last time.

"Oh God Bryan." he said. "I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. I LOVE YOU FOREVER."

The monitor flat-lined and I saw the room below me. Justin wept on my lifeless body and I wished I could have been there to comfort him. The one person who truly cared for me actually said he loved me. I was glad I was able to hear that before I died.

Several days after my death my parents had my funeral. It seemed that everyone turned out for it, including me. Now you may not believe in an afterlife, but there is. And much to the consternation of the religious right, God is not homophobic. I wanted to see Justin one last time and he was there with my parents. Ed and Steven were there together. But to my dismay, TK was there with his new boyfriend. As the services at the church were finished, my parents wanted Justin to ride with them in the limo, but TK was demanding that his cousin ride with them.

"Leave me alone." Justin told him quietly, as he got in the limo.

Everyone arrived at the cemetery and Justin sat with my parents. The minister continued the service and I was surprised who gave the eulogy - Justin. He told how I was a wonderful person who cared about people. He then explained how he loved me completely, which went over like a lead balloon. TK decided to open his mouth for one final parting shot at me.

"Yeah, you could have done better than that ugly troll." he said with a snicker.

What happened next was proof of Justin's love for me. He leaped at TK and knocked him to the ground. Before anyone could react, Justin was severely beating his cousin over and over with his fists, then began to choke him.

"Apologize you fuck." he seethed. "Apologize or I'll kill you right now."

"O-O-Okay." TK choked out. "I'm sorry. Let me up."

Justin released him, but not before kicking him in the ribs. TK coughed and grabbed his ribs as his boyfriend helped him out. Justin glared at them and they began to move.

"Get the fuck out of here." he said.

They both ran to their car and sped away. Justin turned around and was looked at by everyone with great fear. The funeral service continued under great strain. As it ended, my parents, Justin, Ed, Steve, and my cousin and his girlfriend placed roses on my casket. It was lowered into the ground. Justin left with my parents and everyone went to the house to relax from a trying day. Ed had brought his briefcase with him.

"Bryan asked that his will be read after the funeral." he said. "I know that this seems unusual, but it is his wish."

Ed pulled the document out and explained that Justin was to get a majority of the estate. He explained my wishes to everyone and my parents were not upset with the decision. Justin told Ed he wanted my parents to have an equal share of the estate, which I knew is exactly what he would do.

"Justin, you really loved our son, didn`t you?" my mom asked.

"Yes I did." he replied. "I just wished I had the strength to tell him before he died."

"I think he knew it." Mom told him. "He knew."

I felt wonderful that my parents were accepting of my life and that Justin was able to admit that he loved me. It would have been better that I could have shared my life with him, but it was still alright.
