"Left Without Words 17"

Checking my hair and clothes was a must.

I'm not just riding my way to the corner store anymore. I'm actually walking there, side by side, with the boy of my dreams. Which, in my mind, is basically a date. Hehehe, I wonder what Deme will wear. I wish I knew so I could compliment his outfit or something. Does that sound weird? That probably sounds weird. Sorry.

I couldn't believe that he's actually on his way over to my house. Like...right now! I found myself getting all giddy with anticipation, and I kept looking out of the front window to see if I could see Deme riding up ahead of time so I prepare my deepest emotions for impact when he finally arrived. Omigod, I can't wait! Ahhhhh!

I was in the living room when Sarah came out of her room wearing her best clothes and smelling like she had bathed herself in some kind of weird fragrance that was more likely to attract a mini army of raccoons than a super cute boy like Deme. What the hell is she DOING? He's not interested! Ugh! Why are girls so bad at taking hints?

I saw her looking out of the front window too, and I was like, "Don't you have somewhere to GO today? Why can't you go to the park or the mall or...like...the garbage dump or something? You're being a pest."

"I can go wherever I want to go. What's it to you?"

"You're bothering us. That's what."

"Dimitry is soooo nice to me! You're the only one who wants to be mean!" She said.

"Whatever." I told her. "You're just wasting your time, ya know?"

"Says YOU." She insisted. But I figured that it would be more stress on the brain to argue with her than it would be to simply walk away. As long as she doesn't embarrass me in front of my new boyfriend, I'll be just fine with her slobbering all over a boy that likes other boys. Just...stay out of our way when we're together. That's all I ask.

I went up to the window and pulled the curtain back, lightly pushing Sarah to the side as I looked for my sweetheart once again. And it was then that I caught sight of him on his bike, standing up on the pedals and gliding down our neighborhood street to reduce his speed right in front of our driveway.

He was wearing this greenish, camouflage, t-shirt, and a pair od slightly tight fitting jean shorts with the cuffs rolled up higher on his thighs. White ankle socks, and a pair of grey sneakers. Oh wow...the way his medium length dark hair fluttered back in the wind as he approached the house, those smooth legs straightened out, his well sculpted calves displaying their athletic grace...it was enough to leave me breathless. I sighed out loud, smiling quietly to myself. Deme swung his lg over to walk his bike the rest of the way, and he caught sight of me in the living room window, giving me a bashful wave as I smiled back at him.

Then I felt my little sister's sharp elbow jab me just under my ribs as she forced herself in front of me to stare at Deme and giggle as she gave him an over-exaggerated wave of her own. DAMMITT!!! Can my mom DO something with her already??? God, she's SO fucking annoying sometimes!

I moved away from the window as Deme was walking his way towards the back of the house, but again, Sarah was already pushing me out of the way to go and greet him first. She dashed through the kitchen, whizzed past my mom, swung the door open, and gazed upon Deme's undeniable beauty as she giggled nervously and offered to help him with his bike.

"Hello, Sarah!" Deme smiled, and Sarah nearly wet herself from the acknowledgement. "I am ok. I just need to put the lock on the fence. This is ok?"

"It's TOTALLY ok! Here! I'll help!" She said, racing down to help Deme with the chain lock on his bike. "Hehehe....hi..."

Deme blushed slightly, looking up at me by the door while I silently apologized for my sister's out of control behavior. But he didn't seem to mind much. Instead, he just showed her how the lock worked and let her do it. Then he was like, "Thank you. All secure. Good job." And he gave her a big hug, which nearly made her tremble to the point of falling to her knees. Is it weird that I was extremely jealous that she got to touch him first?

Jesus...is that what I look like to other when I'm interacting with Deme??? I need to tone it waaaay down, if it is. It's kind of creepy and weird to watch this kind of blind worship from a distance.

"You're soooo beautiful..." Sarah said.

"Hehehe, thank you. You are beautiful as well." Deme said softly, causing her knees to dip so suddenly that Deme actually thought that he was going to have to reach out to catch her in case she fell.

"Omigod! Come inside! I love you so much!" She beamed.

"Sarah...come on! Mom said I have to go to the store." I told her.

"So GO, already! Me and Deme will be here when you get back!"

Thankfully, Deme put an end to my misery by saying, "Sorry. Shane and I are going together. But I will come back and say goodbye for sure. Ok?"

"Awwww...nooooo! Stay here with me." She whined. "I wanna show you my room!"

My mom called out from the kitchen, "Sarah, leave the boys alone. Come back in the house." This caused Sarah to pout and stick out her bottom lip as she hesitated to do what she was told. "Hi, Dimitry!" My mom said, and he gave her a shy smile as he returned the greeting, his blush even deeper than before. Omigod, the shad of a boyish blush on that smooth olive tinted skin of his...it's the sexiest thing that you could ever lay eyes upon without going completely insane! I swear, it's supernatural to be that unbelievably hot!

"Can I go with you guys?" Sarah asked quietly.

But my mom stepped in, simply by saying her name. "Sarah..."

"OK! Geez..." She grunted, and stomped her way back in the house. But she turned around to say, "I love you, Deme."

"I love you too, little sister." And he blew her a kiss just to tease her. Hahaha, I thought she was going to literally pass out on the floor. Oh God, this situation would be so unbearable if Sarah's role and mine were reversed! Thank the stars for boys who only like other boys!

I closed the back door, and as Deme and I were walking back out to the sidewalk together, I said, "You know...you're only making things infinitely worse by being nice to her, you know?"

"Hehehe, your sister is adorable. I like her."

"But you like me more though, right?"

He smiled warmly. "There is no brighter light than my beautiful Shane. Nowhere." I swear, sometimes the things he says to me...it just causes me to swoon in ways that I never thought I would. Not for anybody. I really should prepare for these things ahead of time, but Deme can be so unexpectedly cute. I don't know...I think I kind of like that about him.

We started the long trek to the store, but I was just so honored to have him near me that I had to remind myself to slow my pace down so it would last longer. Despite him being so gorgeous to look at, Deme and I really did have this constant ease of conversation going whenever we talked to one another. It was almost like we were the same person, just split into two bodies. There's something so comforting in being able to talk openly with a good friend who actually 'gets' you, you know? He means soooo much to me. I hope that I'm fulfilling my end of the bargain here. I always feel like I want to be a better boyfriend. He's never complained or anything, but...I want him to be just as overwhelmed by all of this as I am. Call me crazy, but I'd feel guilty if I thought, for one second, that I was reaping all of the rewards here.

"You don't have a list of what you need from the store?" He asked.

"It's not a lot of stuff. Eggs, peanut butter, a few tomatoes, some croutons for a salad...my mom is salad crazy these days for some reason. Oh, and she wants me to get some Ravioli, cheese only, no meat..."

"This is all for one dinner?" He looked confused.

"Hehehe, no. It's just random stuff for the house. She figured that as long as she forcing me to go to the store, she might as well take advantage of whatever I could safely carry back with me."

"She force you to go?"

I blushed. "Yeah. It's sort of a punishment, I guess..."

Deme smirked. "What did you do?"

I playfully rolled my eyes, trying to hide my guilty smile from him. "I was trying to get my mom and Sarah out of the house. So...I sorta...I broke the rest of the eggs we had in the fridge with the hopes that I could get them to GO somewhere!"

Deme gave me a shocked look. "Shane! Naughty!"

"What??? I was desperate!" I giggled. "Any other time, they'd be gone all afternoon and I'd have the house to myself! And today is the one day that want to be recluses and hang around all day."

That caused Deme to laugh to himself. He has such a cute laugh. So light and sincere. Hearing it just makes you feel good inside, you know? Especially when you know that it was something you said that inspired it.

"It's ok, Shane. We will find time to be together."

"I know, but...I wanted it to be today."

He focused those bright brown eyes on mine, and with a smile, he said, "Me too..."

The look in his eyes was so dreamy. I actually felt myself getting hard. It was one of those super quick, spontaneous, erections that you weren't sure you'd be able to fight off or not while you were in public. I had to avert my gaze from him, and I think I started to walk a little funny, as the fabric of my pants was rubbing up against it and making things worse.

FUCK!!! I want to jump on him right now! Why can't my mom just take Sarah out of the house and, like...fly to the fucking MOON for the weekend so Deme and I could be alone for a little while???

"Instead of breaking the eggs, you should have told your mother that I would be happy to come over and cook for you and your family. That could be fun." Deme said, thankfully distracting me from my current situation.

With a giggle, I said, "Well, I wasn't sure that you'd be able to cook until recently. I didn't want to poison them! Just make them go away for a while."

"Hahaha! Hey!" Deme said. "My food was not so bad!"

"Babe, I love you soooo much! But your food, before? It was terrible. Sooooo terrible!"

"SHANE!"

"What??? Hahaha! it was!" I teased. "But it's so much better now. I loved it. That's the honest truth."

Deme faked an adorable pout, and he said, "I apologize for making you eat something bad."

I told him, "I'd do it again if I had to. I'd eat every bit of it...just because you made it. I'd clean the whole plate."

He blushed again. "Really? You mean it?"

"No. Not at all. That food was...it was just awful. Omigod, was it ever awful."

Deme laughed, and gave me a playful shove. "You are terrible, yourself!" The he softened his voice and said, "But I love you, Shane. Truly."

"I love you too."

His face brightened up, and it looked as though he was trying to keep his wide, infatuated, smile from nearly cracking his head wide open. Yeah, I know the feeling. Believe me. "You bring me to such a happy place." She sighed. And without warning...he leaned over to kiss me on the cheek. I was shocked at first, but it was only a second before I started melting inside. "I'm sorry. Hehehe, you were looking too cute for me to control myself."

"S'ok..." I said. I wish I had something really romantic and cool to say in response, but I didn't. I was too far gone to really put words together the way that I wanted to. I guess the dreamy haze presented through my highly infatuated eyes and giddy smile would have to be enough for now.

We made it to the grocery store, and Deme offered to hold the basket for the few items that we were going to need to pick up. Awww, that's sweet of him. The store was pretty full of people for a small place on a random afternoon, but I only needed a few items so I doubted that we'd be there long. Still, the more time I spent with Deme, the more I realized what an unfair torture it was to be this close to him and no closer. It's hard not to reach out and touch him, you know? I guess I'm just a bit obsessed with him, but I feel good about that. Hehehe!

"Ok, I need to grab some ketchup too. I think we're low on ketchup. My mom gave me some extra, just in case." I said as we walked up and down the aisles. "Oh, and probably some American cheese slices. I've got to keep all this stuff in mind so we don't go over budget."

Deme just smiled at me. I asked him what he was looking at, and he just said, "Nothing. You are just very cute, trying to remember things."

"I am? Hehehe, I don't know how I was able to pull that off."

He just touched my shoulder briefly, running his hand down to my elbow. "Everything you do is cute. My heart feels as though it is pumping sugar and candy when I see you smile." Hearing that, I immediately gave him the biggest, goofiest, most exaggerated smile that my face would allow. "HAHAHA!!! Stop that! You always make fun of me!"

"Hehehe, I was trying to make you happy." I snickered.

"You don't need to do anything to make me happy. Just keep being my lovely Shane, and I will feel amazing all the time. K?"

"K..." I said. Arrrgh! I this would be one of those perfect moments for me to kiss his sweet lips and bring this whole memory to completion. But...I couldn't. And that just sucks. I guess I'll just have to make up for it later.

Jesus...we're just shopping for groceries, and it's like...one of the most erotic experiences of my life!

"Ok, I think I've got everything." I said.

But Deme reminded me, "You forgot the croutons for your mother's salad craziness. And Ravioli, cheese only."

"Omigod, thank you. I forgot those." Then I said, "How did you remember all that?"

"I listen very closely to what you say. That's how."

He really is making me weak in the middle with the compliments. I'm seriously ready to set my whole HOUSE on fire to get rid of my mom and sister for a little while. It would be totally worth it.

When we went to the checkout counter, Deme placed everything on the conveyor belt for me while I added the prices up in my head, rounding up to account for tax and all that. I thought I might have a few bucks leftover, and asked him, "Do you, like...want a candy bar or some gum or something?" We were staring into each other's eyes when I said it, and I could tell that Deme was really flattered by having me ask.

His eyes softened, a little smirk spreading across his kissable lips. And he shook his head. "No, thank you." His voice had adopted this quiet, seductive, tone...and I could actually feel it in the pit of my stomach. In fact, I felt a little tingling in my balls too from having him look at me like that. I think he knew what he was doing too. His stare was a bit too strong and too suggestive for him not to be doing it on purpose.

"M'kay..." I whispered, not breaking eye contact until it was our turn to get serviced at the register. The cashier greeted me, and my voice squeaked nervously at first before I cleared my throat. "Hi."

Deme was standing really close to me as she scanned our groceries, and I felt the back of his hand lightly brush across my ass as he looked away from me, trying to hold in a tender flurry of giggles. I brushed his hand away and snickered myself, which only made his giggles worse, and we were soon blushing furiously while I tried to keep up a decent mask of normality. I don't know if it was working though. The lady at the register gave us a bit of a strange look, but didn't think it was anything more out of the ordinary than what she would see from a couple of teenage boys in the store. Then again, despite what society might think, there really wasn't anything out of the ordinary about us at all. We're in love. If you don't like it, look that way instead. Hehehe!

Deme and I grabbed the bags and walked out of the store together. I think he wanted to take all of the bags himself, but I struggled to get him to let me at least help out. Especially since I was the one to drag him out on such a mundane task to begin with. But as we kept taking little peeks and glances at one another, it was becoming clear to me that he was just as hopelessly in love with me as I was with him. It was a surreal experience. I mean, an emotion so powerful, so complete...can it really be this easy? Just find yourself a breath taking hottie like Deme, open yourself up to him, and...you get to be a part of the most explosive, most life altering, feeling of all time? It almost feels like I cheated the system somehow. How do people live a normal life with this level of love scrambling their brains every few seconds?

How does anybody live a normal life without it?

I never knew what I was missing out on until Deme introduced me to this level of joy. And as we started the walk back home...I found myself craving him even more.

I don't think I can let this day go by without making out with him at least once. I just...I HAVE to kiss him! I HAVE to! If I take him home, close the door to my bedroom and shut the curtains, we can have at least a few minutes together. I'll lock Sarah out for a bit. And if I can get my mom to keep her at bay for a bit...then Deme and I can, like...reconnect, or whatever. I just need a taste of him. Just a taste.

I'm desperate for it! God, I love you so much! And I need you so bad that it hurts right now!
