It's over twice as long as my usual chapters. I could have split it into two, but I felt like I've made you guys wait long enough for the ending to this story. lol I know that many of you have very different preconceived notions as to how this chapter should play out. Believe me, I weighed all of your comments. But, in the end, I wrote the chapter the way I felt it should be written. With more time for rewriting, I know this chapter could be better, but I'm happy with it. I hope you enjoy reading it! *** Chapter 42 Shaun began having second thoughts about Zach and his dad getting together, almost as soon as he turned out the lights and climbed into bed. It had been an evening without much talk around the Carter apartment. Both Liam and Jeremy had brought work home with them, and Shaun had quite a few school assignments he had to finish. After dinner, everyone went his own way. Claiming the upstairs computer, Shaun popped in a pair of earbuds and began to listen to music, while the others worked downstairs on their laptops. As he studied, Shaun texted Zach a few times, but didn't get a reply. After finishing his homework, and checking out Facebook for a bit, he clicked off the computer and headed downstairs. Since the men were watching the 10:00 news on TV ... something that never interested Shaun ... he told them goodnight and headed to bed. Oddly, he hadn't felt like jacking off, and now, tossing and turning, he couldn't go to sleep. Though he didn't laugh along with his dad and Liam, Shaun half-listened to Jay Leno's opening monologue from the TV in the living room. After it was over, he heard one of the men click off the television; listened to them take care of their nighttime bathroom duties; and heard the bed in the next room creak, when they climbed onto it. He waited for the noises of their lovemaking, but didn't hear any. There was just silence from the master bedroom for several long moments. Finally, Liam said something and Jeremy answered. After that, a dam seemed to have burst, and the men talked and talked. Shaun tried to listen, but they were speaking softly, and he couldn't make out many of the words. He was sure he heard his name mentioned several times, though; and it sounded like Zach's came up often. He strained his ears, wishing he knew what his dad and Liam were saying. It was nearly midnight, when Jeremy gave Liam a loving kiss, thanked him for being so understanding, and spooned his naked body up close to his lover. Protectively, Liam draped an arm over Jeremy ... the man he had come to admire deeply, and to love with all his heart. It didn't hurt that he'd experienced the most amazing sex of his life with the man either. "Good night, Jem," Liam yawned, suddenly feeling sleepy. "`Night, Liam." Shaun listened for more, but except for occasional popping sounds, as the apartment cooled in the wee hours of the morning, the refrigerator motor starting and stopping, and an occasional gust of wind against the eaves, the apartment was silent. Still, his mind was churning and he couldn't sleep. It was weird, because he thought he'd dealt with his fears concerning Zach and his dad. But, in the dark solitude of the night ... without his boyfriend's comforting body beside him ... those nagging thoughts reared their ugly head with a vengeance. His deep-down insecurities took over, and he wondered, for the millionth time, how Zach could have ever fallen for him. Even though his body was maturing rapidly, he still felt he had little to offer the taller, more muscular, and a lot more outgoing boy. Zach must have been lying to him, when he said he loved and wanted Shaun more than anyone else in the world. At least, those thoughts, and many more like them, kept running through his brain. As the minutes ticked away, his troubled mind built upon them, in much the same way as a mason might build a brick wall. Each layer added more oppressive weight: things that had seemed of little consequence, when he and Zach were together, now loomed huge and ugly in his mind. Like a fast-spreading cancer, worry gnawed at him. Even though it had taken him a while to come around, how could he have so easily given Zach the go-ahead with his dad? He was wide awake for hours, and sleep was the furthest thing from his mind. By the time he finally succumbed to his weariness, a little after three, he was certain, beyond any doubt, that if Zach and his dad ever got together, then all the good things that had happened between Zach and himself would be over. When the alarm rang, three hours later, those thoughts were still running through his mind. Though he had barely slept, he was instantly wide awake. The usual morning rituals, and the chilly bike ride to school, were little more than a blur to Shaun. Before class, in the cafeteria, he missed Zach something terrible. But at least being around their other friends allowed him to temporarily push his worries to the back of his mind. *** After trying to eat something for supper, and making a couple of unscheduled trips to the bathroom, when he should have been sleeping, Zach and his mom decided he'd better stay home from school on Friday. Any other time, Zach would have jumped at the opportunity to stay home on a school day; but being sick took all the fun out of it. He hadn't tried to eat anything for breakfast, but was able to keep down half a banana for lunch. Thankfully, by the afternoon, he was feeling much better. He was sure glad the school nurse had been right about it being a 24 hour virus, and he never wanted to catch another one as long as he lived! *** Throughout the school day, Shaun texted Zach every chance he got. He was relieved when Zach said he felt as good as ever, and was planning to spend the weekend with the Carters, the way they had discussed. For some reason, in the light of day, everything looked different to Shaun. Surely things wouldn't be as bad as he had feared. Jeremy had enjoyed a reasonably good day, too. The night before, in bed with Liam, he had come to terms with the whole Zach situation and thought he finally knew how to handle it. He smiled when he saw Shaun enter his classroom at the end of the day. At home, earlier that morning, Jeremy had sensed that Shaun was worrying about something, though Shaun hadn't wanted to talk about it. The boy seemed to be in a good mood, however, as he strode up the aisle toward his desk. "How was your day, son?" Jeremy asked, while continuing to erase the blackboard. Shaun shrugged his shoulders, the way most teenagers do when asked that question by a parent. "Okay, I guess." He took a seat and slid his iPad out of his school bag. "Zach's feeling a lot better." "I'm glad to hear that." Jeremy hedged the truth a tiny bit. "So I guess he'll be over sometime this weekend, then." Shaun laughed. "Yeah. For supper tonight, if that's okay with you." "Sure." After putting down the eraser, Jeremy brushed his hands together, knocking off the yellow chalk dust. "I wonder if he'll feel like going out to dinner?" "Probably," Shaun replied, pressing the `Home' button on his iPad. "I mean, he says he feels great ... since about noon, I think." While sitting on the front lip of his desk, Jeremy opened the lid of his laptop. "Say, why don't you pick the place where we eat tonight?" "Anywhere I want?" "Yep!" "Then, lets go to Oskar Blues!" Shaun didn't even need to think about it; hands down, it was his favorite place to eat out. "On a Friday night, huh?" Chuckling, Jeremy shook his head. Although he loved the food, drink, and noisy ambiance of the place, by the time Liam got home they would be at the end of a long line waiting for a table ... or even for a spot to sit at the bar. "I think I'll send Liam a text, and tell him to meet us there. At least, maybe HE won't have to wait an hour for a table." Shaun laughed, as Jeremy slipped his iPhone out of his pants pocket. He sent the text message, and then worked on Monday's lesson plan, while Shaun texted Zach and finished his homework. About an hour and a half after school let out on that Friday, father and son mounted their bicycles for the short ride home. As soon as they entered their apartment, Jeremy headed toward his bedroom to shower and change clothes. Shaun dropped his school pack by the door and hoofed it upstairs to spend a few minutes on the computer. Zach looked and acted like his old self when Jeremy and Shaun picked him up several minutes later. At the restaurant, they were told the wait was 45 minutes. After giving the greeter his name, Jeremy and the teens joined the other people who were clustered just inside the front door of the building. While they were waiting, a local band began its Friday night gig, and the three enjoyed the sounds from the `80s and `90s. Sometime during their wait, Jeremy ordered root beers for the boys and a more substantial dark brew for himself. They still hadn't been shown to their table, an hour after their wait had begun. A few minutes before 6:30, Liam made his way through the people gathered outdoors, around the entrance to the restaurant, opened the door, and looked for the rest of his family. After a moment or two, he spied Jeremy and the boys. With plenty of "excuse me's," or "sorry, but I'm meeting somebody," Liam squeezed his way to their side. "Hey, Jem ... guys!" Smiling broadly, he pecked his lover on the cheek, before noticing the nearly empty mug in the man's hand. "What are you drinking, anyway?" Jeremy lifted the mug and laughed. "Old Chub; pretty good, for a change." As Jeremy emptied his glass, a woman's voice announced, "Carter, table for four." Liam smirked, as Jeremy got the hostess' attention. "I'd call that perfect timing. How long have you guys been waiting, anyway?" "It seems like hours," Zach replied, shaking his head, while Shaun nodded his agreement. "With only ROOT beer to drink." Laughing, Liam knocked off Zach's cap and tousled the teen's already unruly hair. "Poor Zach." Roughly, he wrapped his arm around the boy's shoulder, and, after Zach retrieved his cap, shepherded the teen after Jeremy, Shaun, and the hostess. "At least, it looks like you're feeling better." "I'd fuckin' better be," Zach smirked, as he thought about the upcoming weekend. His cock, which had been at least semi-hard all afternoon, was suddenly throbbing. In the subdued lighting of the barn-like restaurant, his deep green eyes were nearly black, and they sparkled mischievously. The hostess seated them at the only open table, which was on an end wall, and about the farthest one from the bar and all the activity associated with it. Everyone was hungry ... especially Zach ... but Jeremy told him to be careful with what he ordered and not overdo things. After they were served, the guys ate leisurely, while immensely enjoying each other's company, the food, drink, and music. Although everyone had the same topic on his mind, nobody spoke about it. As the meal was winding down, the guys began to talk about how they were going to spend the rest of their evening. Several ideas were tossed around, but nobody was really happy with any of them. Then Liam suggested bowling. Neither Shaun nor Zach had ever been bowling, and Jeremy hadn't been since his early years with Shaun's mom, but those three were all for the idea. After moving to Colorado, Liam had been bowling several times with buddies from work. He'd been to the bowling center in Longmont once, and had really enjoyed it. When he suggested they try to get an open lane there, everyone eagerly agreed. They ended up bowling three games that night, and all four agreed they needed to come back often. While both Jeremy and Shaun rolled their share of gutter balls, Zach, after only a few instructions from Liam, quickly caught-on to how to play the game. Even though it was probably only beginner's luck, Zach would never admit to it. He boasted nonstop about the 177 he bowled in the third game, which was even better than Liam's highest score. "You boys might have sore right arms in the morning," Liam chuckled, as they walked to the cars. "Only the boys, you think?" Clenching his fist, and bending his arm, Jeremy made a muscle. "I'm so out of shape, it's pathetic!" Liam and the boys laughed in reply. Zach and Shaun got in the back seat of Jeremy's car, while Liam slid under the steering wheel of his Volvo. A few minutes later, they were parked in front of the apartment building. Inside, the boys stripped down, while the men took off their shirts. No one was sleepy, or felt like going to bed, so they put one of Liam's gay-themed movies, The Birdcage, in the Blu-Ray player, and settled back to watch it. It was an over-the-top comedy about a South Beach drag club, and the recent engagement of the gay club owners' college-age straight son to the daughter of an ultraconservative senator. Except for Liam, the others had never seen the movie, and both men and boys were rolling on the floor with laughter, as the movie progressed! When the final credits began to roll, superimposed over a wedding scene, Zach yawned, a bit more obviously than he would have had to, and pulled Shaun to his feet. "Come on, Shaun; time for bed." In five beats of his heart, his cock throbbed to attention. "`Night, Mr. C ... Liam." While Liam ejected the disk, Jeremy replied, "Good night, boys." Smiling at the teens' youthful, perfect skin, he watched as their naked backsides disappeared down the hall. After a quick pit stop, they crossed the hall from the bathroom to Shaun's room. Zach wrapped his arms around his lover. "Fuck, Shaun, I wish we could be together all the time." In the soft, yellow-pink glow from the sodium vapor street light, he kissed his boyfriend full on the lips. Soon, the tender kiss became more passionate and the boys fell awkwardly onto the bed. When he was in Zach's strong arms, Shaun wondered to himself how he could have ever doubted his boyfriend's love for him. While kissing and groping each other, they rolled among the rumpled sheets. In no time, Zach was inside Shaun ... something that had always come naturally to the two of them. They were so absorbed with themselves and each other, that they didn't even notice when the men went to bed and began their own lovemaking in the next room. In fact, they were still going at each other, long after the men had called it quits and fallen asleep. Sometime after 2:30, Shaun snuggled close to Zach and yawned. While Shaun had only cum twice, and Zach had filled his mouth once and his ass four times, no way was Shaun complaining about lack of attention! Zach had masterfully used his lips, hands, slender cock, and thrusting, muscular body to keep his boyfriend right on the verge of orgasm much of the night. Before falling for Shaun, Zach had often drifted through life with a `whatever' attitude. When the two of them were joined together, however, he worked hard at making Shaun feel good. Sure, he wanted pleasure for himself, too ... like all boys, Zach loved to shoot ... but when he watched Shaun in the throes of sexual ecstasy ... something HE had caused to happen ... Zach's pleasure multiplied many times. Cuddled in his lover's arms, Shaun gently purred, "Man, I love you so much, Zach." "Mmm, yeah, Shaun." Finally sated for the night, Zach yawned, as his racing heart began to slow and his mostly hard dick slipped from his lover's cum-filled hole. All of a sudden he was SO sleepy. Yawning again, he briefly held Shaun tighter, snuggled his face up close to Shaun's, and, like a light being turned off, fell asleep. Moments later, to the sound of Zach's regular breathing, Shaun contentedly drifted off. Both boys slept deeply, and, at one point, Shaun dreamt it was summertime. For some reason, he and Zach were spending it together on what appeared to be an otherwise deserted island. That part of the dream didn't make any sense to Shaun, because he had no idea how they came to be on the island; how long they had been there; or why they were alone, without any adults. Both boys were VERY deeply tanned, however, so they'd obviously been there for a while. Neither he nor Zach seemed to have any cares whatsoever, as they frolicked in the crystal clear water. Arm-in-arm, they fell onto the white sand beach and began to playfully wrestle with each other. With stiff cocks, and lithe bodies white with sand, Zach ended up sitting on Shaun's belly. "Hey, Shaun, are you ever gonna wake up, or what?" Wha ... what? Shaun blinked his eyes open to midday light. Damn ... he wasn't on a beach after all. Instead, he was lying in his own bed. Zach WAS sitting on top of his stomach, however. The sexy teen leaned down and planted a big kiss on Shaun's lips, before reaching behind himself and giving Shaun's throbbing cock a couple of quick strokes. "Let's get something to eat; I'm starving!" Shaun laughed, as Zach pulled him out of bed. While Zach headed directly to the kitchen, Shaun detoured into the bathroom, both to piss and to empty Zach's cum ... which he'd been storing while he slept ... from his bowels. Zach had taken out a couple of bowls, spoons, and glasses, and was already eating a bowl of cereal, when Shaun joined him at the tall, dining room table. After climbing onto the stool across the table from Zach, Shaun emptied the box of Cheerios into his bowl, sprinkled on a heaping spoonful of sugar, and doused everything in a generous serving of milk. He poured the last of the milk into a glass, filling it just over halfway. The boys had the apartment to themselves, and between bites, they laughed and joked around. As they were eating, they heard talking and footsteps on the outside stairs. Seconds later, a key rattled in the door. Shaun reached to open it, but he was too late. The knob was already turning, the door pushed open, and Liam and Jeremy ... arms laden with six or seven plastic shopping bags each ... walked through it. Jeremy toed the door closed behind him, dropped his bags on the sofa, and chuckled good-naturedly. "`Morning, boys; so you finally decided to get up, huh?" "Hey, it's not like we were sleeping `til noon," Shaun began, before glancing at the clock on the microwave: 12:19. Sheepishly, he added, "Well, maybe we were sleeping just a little late..." "Not WE," Zach smirked. "YOU!" Smiling at Zach, Jeremy draped an arm over his son's shoulder and hugged him from behind. "Come on, Liam, let's get the rest of the stuff out of the car." The Carters had been about to run out of just about everything, and it took a while to put all the provisions away. After finishing their meal, the teens took a quick shower, and Zach shaved his face and pubes. They were flipping their towels at each other, while pretending to dry off, when Liam rapped on the closed door of the small bathroom. "Shaun, it's awesome outside ... for early December, anyway; and I thought maybe you'd like to go on a bike ride with me." "Umm..." Shaun dropped his damp towel to his side and looked at Zach. With all the fun he'd had in bed with Zach last night, he had successfully pushed all thoughts of Zach with his dad to the back recesses of his brain. Suddenly, those concerns were front and center again. "Yeah, I guess so, Liam; I'll be ready in a few." He hoped his face didn't betray his true feelings, as he forced a smile in Zach's direction. Zach wrapped his arms around Shaun, hugging him wordlessly. After a loving kiss, Zach sprayed clouds of Axe under his arms, before Shaun did the same. A few minutes later ... while Zach sat on the edge of the bed and watched, limp-dicked ... Shaun stepped into a pair of frayed cargo shorts, pulled a light blue, long sleeve T-shirt over his head, and slid his long, slender feet into his school Nikes. Slipping his bike helmet onto his head and grabbing his sunglasses, Shaun sat on the bed beside his boyfriend. "Hey, Zach, I hope you have fun while I'm gone." Shaun wanted to add, `Just not TOO much.' But he didn't. Instead, he gave Zach what he planned to be a short kiss. Zach wanted to use his tongue, however, and it quickly turned passionate. By the time Zach pulled away, his throbbing, arched cock was oozing precum, nonstop, and Shaun's head was reeling. Both boys were seeing stars. "Fuck, you're amazing," Zach declared. Shaking his head to clear it, he wrapped his arm around Shaun's shoulder, as the teens stood. "I hope you have a really good bike ride." "Yeah, thanks." Nervously, Shaun smiled, as he slid on the sunglasses. He opened the bedroom door. "Are you about ready to go, Liam?" "Just waiting on you." Liam laughed from the direction of the living room couch ... where he and Jeremy had been sitting, while talking to each other ... and stood to his feet. He was dressed in a red and black formfitting cycling outfit. California, in block white letters, emblazoned the left leg of the shorts. The matching zippered jersey had been left open most of the way, revealing Liam's manly chest, while the bulge in the front of the shorts spoke volumes about the impressive package just beneath the thin fabric. "You guys have a fun ride," Jeremy said. Standing, he glanced from Liam and Shaun toward Zach. "On a day like today, are you sure you wouldn't rather go on a bike ride, instead of sticking around this dreary place with me?" All eyes were on Zach, who took a moment to answer. A bike ride probably would be lots of fun; and honestly, he was just a little nervous about what he expected was about to happen. He glanced at Shaun, who was buckling the bike helmet under his chin. He wished he could see Shaun's eyes, but the sunglasses hid them. "I guess I'll stay here and keep you company, Mr. C. I mean, I don't wanna get all sweaty and get sick again, or something." Everybody chuckled at Zach's lame reasoning, and, as Liam handed a couple of filled water bottles to Shaun and donned a tiny hydration pack, Jeremy curled his arm around Zach's naked shoulder. "We'll probably be gone for two or three hours," Liam advised. He opened the front door, revealing his lightweight road bike sitting just outside in the breezeway. "Jem, we'll play it by ear, as to where we ride, but we'll keep to the roads, of course. I've got my phone with me, just in case." "Sounds good," Jeremy replied. Shaun mouthed, `I love you,' in Zach's direction, before adding, "See you guys in a few." He followed Liam through the door, shutting it firmly behind him. Shouldering his bike, Liam hurried down the stairs right behind the teen. Shaun unlocked his bike from the rack in front of their apartment building, hopped on it, and followed Liam out of the parking lot. They headed in the direction of Cherry Hill, but, after passing the school, they continued south on Airport Road, along the western city limits of Longmont. Liam had been right; it was a marvelous, early December afternoon. The sky was a cloudless, deep blue. As they pedaled along, though the sun was warm on their backs, the air had just enough bite to it that they didn't overheat. Keeping to the bike lane, the two crossed the Diagonal Highway just south of town, and zigzagged over county roads through agricultural land for over an hour. Of course, Shaun's thoughts were never far from what he imagined was going on back in the apartment, but he tried to put those concerns behind him, as much as he could. Maybe Liam could guess what was going through Shaun's mind, because he often made Shaun work hard to keep up with him. Or, maybe Liam pedaled so fast because he was trying to put similar thoughts out of HIS mind. Whatever the reason, both man and boy were winded, but their muscles felt really good, when Liam slowed his bike and asked Shaun if he wanted to stop in the small town of Niwot, just north of Boulder, for a bite to eat. Shaun wasn't all that hungry, but he was really glad for the opportunity to relax for a few minutes. From the east, they rode into old downtown Niwot, and, without hesitation, Liam led them to an old, two story building, which was home to a small gourmet cafe. After hanging their bike helmets on the handlebars, they left their bikes unlocked, alongside a few others in the rack beside the door. Even though it was too late for a traditional lunch, and WAY too early for dinner, the eatery was doing a pretty good business. Several customers filled the handful of tables. A trio of young women, who were also dressed in biking apparel, were at the counter placing their orders. Shaun and Liam got in line behind them. After scanning the handwritten menu on the large whiteboard, which filled the wall behind the counter, they ordered turkey sandwiches piled high with their favorite veggies, side orders of freshly made potato chips, and large Cokes. Liam paid for everything, and they took the food to one of two empty, outdoor tables. "Thanks for the sandwich." Opening his mouth wide, Shaun took a big bite of the thick, footlong sub and chewed with gusto. "Mmm, this is really good." Liam smiled. "Glad you like it, Shaun." He took a bite of his sandwich, and they made small talk while they ate. Since both guys were really thirsty, Liam took their glasses inside to be refilled before their sandwiches were half eaten. Returning with the large plastic tumblers filled to the brim, Liam handed a glass to Shaun. "Here you go." "Thanks." As Liam sat to Shaun's left, at the small metal patio table, Shaun took a big swallow of the soda. "Um ... Liam..." For the first time that afternoon, Liam thought he saw real concern on the face of the teen. "I'm probably just being stupid, but..." Shaun swallowed. "Liam, tell me the truth." He glanced around at the other diners, and no one seemed to be paying any attention to the two of them. "Are you worried about Zach and Dad? `Cause I am." "I wondered how long it would be before that subject came up." Liam's chuckle turned to a warm smile. "From what I can tell, Shaun, you don't have anything to worry about, when it comes to Zach. And, no ... I'm not worried about Jem and me, either." "But how can you be so calm about it? I mean, I told Zach I was okay with everything ... and I guess part of me is ... but, man, the other half of me is all tied up in knots." "Well, Shaun ... your dad and I have talked about this stuff for quite a while. In fact, we had a long talk just the other night..." Liam took a big bite of his sandwich and began to chew. Shaun tried to smile. "Yeah, I couldn't go to sleep that night and tried to listen. But you guys were talking too soft, and I didn't hear much." Since Liam knew he would have eavesdropped, too, if he felt the way Shaun did, he didn't scold the teen for listening in. After swallowing what was in his mouth, he said, "As we're sitting here, I don't know what might be going on in the apartment. But, if I were you, I wouldn't let fear and worry eat me up; I'd ask Zach about everything. I'm sure he'll be happy to tell you." "But..." Because Liam hardly ever talked to Shaun as a parent, Shaun paid attention when he shook his head, and firmly, but gently, interrupted. "No buts, Shaun. Zach loves you; in your heart, you know that's a fact ... and I know it, too." Although, down deep, Shaun knew that Liam was right, he still wasn't sure. "Are you gonna ask Dad about what went on?" "Jem will probably just tell me, so I won't have to ask." Liam smiled. "But, yeah, I'll give him the third degree, if he doesn't." "I'm afraid Zach's gonna have a lot more fun, and like being with Dad more than me. And it scares the shit out of me to find out for sure." He sighed. "Liam, what if he just lies to me, and tells me what I want to hear?" Liam shook his head. "Shaun, you worry WAY too much about stuff that'll probably never happen. Anyway, how would Zach know WHAT you wanted to hear from him? Of course, I don't know Zach like you do, but I don't think he's the kind of guy who'd lie to his boyfriend about something this important to you." Liam finished the last bite of his sandwich and followed it with a large swig of Coke. "Fuck, a guy'd never have time to enjoy life, if all he did was worry about everything that MIGHT happen, but probably never will." A hot guy like Liam just couldn't understand; he had a lot to offer another guy, and Shaun knew he didn't. But he didn't feel like arguing with Liam. "Yeah, I guess so..." "No guessing about it!" He ruffled Shaun's hair, while deadpanning, "And hey ... if things don't work out the way either of us hope, you've always got me." "Yeah, right." Shaun couldn't help but laugh. Liam glanced at Shaun's half-eaten sandwich. "Are you gonna finish that?" "Hunh-uh, I just had breakfast. Do you want the rest of it?" He lifted the remainder of his sandwich off the plate and Liam took it. Without hesitating, the man gobbled it down in five or six bites, and the guys finished their sodas. After collecting their plates and glasses, and taking them to a collection point inside the cafe, the guys refilled the water bottles and hydration reservoir. They crossed the Diagonal, and returned to Longmont by county roads on the west side of the highway. Although quite a bit of time had passed, they were back at the apartment building before Shaun was ready for it. Dread knotted his stomach, and he hung back, dawdling up the stairs, as Liam hurried ahead. Liam leaned his bike against the wall of the apartment, next to the door, and looked around for Shaun. The teen was only halfway up the stairs. "Are you coming?" "Yeah, I guess." Shaun began to climb the stairs a bit faster, and was soon at Liam's side. Wrapping his arm around Shaun's shoulder, Liam asked, "Are you ready to go in?" `No,' Shaun felt like saying, but he knew he really didn't have a choice. While affectionately squeezing the nape of Shaun's neck with his left hand, Liam opened the door with his right. "Guys, we're back," he announced, in a louder than necessary voice. Shaun forced a smile, as he followed Liam into the apartment. He didn't need to look far for Zach and his dad; naked and limp-dicked, both guys were seated side-by-side on the couch, watching a CU football game on TV. Jeremy's arm had been curled around Zach's shoulder, pulling the teen closely to his side, but he stood, as Liam closed the door. Jeremy smiled broadly. "Hey, Shaun! Did you guys have a fun ride?" "Um, yeah, it was okay." Shaun's voice was inflectionless, without a hint of excitement. If it hadn't been for everything else that was going through his brain, Shaun would have probably stared at his dad's impressive manhood ... since he was seeing it for the first time. Instead, he just sat his empty water bottles on the counter. "Liam made it hard for me to keep up with him, though." Liam laughed. "Gotta keep those legs pumping, Shaun." He glanced from Shaun to Jeremy and Zach. "I think I'm gonna take a shower, and then get comfortable like you two!" "How about you, Shaun?" Zach asked, observing his boyfriend carefully. "Yeah, I guess." As Jeremy watched, Zach got up from the sofa; stepped to Shaun's side; and shepherded his boyfriend down the hall. "Fuck, Shaun ... I've got SO much to tell you!" Shaun sighed inwardly. That was JUST what he wanted to hear! While Shaun undressed, Zach turned on the water. It was nice and warm ... just on the edge of being hot ... when Zach flipped the diverter, and the shower began to spray. The boys stepped over the lip of the tub, and Shaun pulled the shower curtain closed. He stood, with his back to the spray, as water coursed through his brown hair, over the fading tan on his shoulders, and ran down both the front and back of his slim body. Shaun reached for the shampoo bottle, but Zach said, "No ... let me." Zach squeezed a generous dollop of the golden shampoo into the palm of his hand, and began to lather Shaun's thick, cropped to medium-length, hair. He deeply massaged Shaun's scalp, the way he sometimes liked to do to himself ... or have Shaun do to him ... while adding more shampoo to the mix. Shaun closed his eyes ... because it felt so good, but also to keep the streams of dripping suds out of them. It was as if Zach could actually feel the tension falling from Shaun's amazing body, along with the shampoo, as it washed out of his hair. He took another palmful of shampoo and began the deep scalp massage again. "Fuck, Shaun ... it took way too long, but today I found out what a stupid asshole I've been! Man, I love you so much!" Zach's hands dropped to Shaun's shoulders at the same time as his lips met Shaun's. They kissed passionately, as the forceful spray rinsed the shampoo from Shaun's hair and water coursed over both their heads. It was as if all their earlier kisses ... and there had been plenty of them ... had only been child's play compared to this one. Usually, when it came to anything sexual, Zach was the guy who took charge; Shaun enjoyed being made love to more than being the one who had to do all the work. And both teens agreed that Zach was good at what he did! But in the shower that afternoon, after Zach's initial advance, something came over Shaun and he became the aggressor. His lips nibbled on Zach's, before his tongue probed the moist, sweet confines of his lover's mouth. He wrapped his arms around Zach's butt. After moving both of them a step or two toward the foot of the tub, and out from under the spraying water, Shaun stepped past Zach's left leg with his right. He grasped a firm butt cheek in each hand, and pulled their groins tightly together. As the kiss continued, he began to hump against Zach's erection, the smooth skin of his belly, and freshly shaved pubes ... gently at first, then much harder and faster. Always horny, anyway, the combined sensations of Shaun's amazing kiss, combined with the feel of his lover's penis and small nest of pubic hairs against his throbbing cock, were driving Zach wild with desire. Momentarily squeezing his boyfriend, he groaned deeply, and began to thrust his tongue into Shaun's mouth. For a few seconds, Zach tried to take charge of the situation ... the way he normally would. But this time, Shaun didn't give in; this was his moment ... and he had no plans to give up control. Squeezing Zach's ass tighter, he leaned into his lover and Zach backed down. Without trying to pull his mouth away from Shaun's, Zach's voice was little more than a moan, when he said, "Damn, Shaun, you've got me so turned on! I'm gonna nut soon, if you keep this up." Shaun chuckled devilishly and humped Zach harder. HE was on the verge of cumming, too. Hearts racing, moments later, both teens tensed. Zach moaned loudly; and they slimed each other. Even with the heat of the shower, Zach began to shiver. Although they were glued together by their sticky jizz, Zach clutched at his lover for support. "Fuckin' shit!" Zach finally felt he could breathe again. "What just came over you, anyways?" Playfully, he pecked the tip of Shaun's cute nose. "Man ... whatever it was, I like it!" "I don't know." Shaun giggled bashfully. "I guess I just wanted to let you know how much I love you, Zach, and never want to lose you." "Like that's ever gonna happen..." "Well, you and Dad and all..." It was Zach's turn to laugh. "What do you think happened while you and Liam were on that bike ride?" Shaun was still torn as to whether or not he wanted to hear, but sighing, he shrugged his slight shoulders. Since it would all come out eventually, he guessed, maybe it would be better if he knew all the sordid details right away. "I don't know, Zach. Probably, you and Dad had hot sex." Holding his boyfriend at arm's length, Zach shook his head, before looking Shaun squarely in the eyes. "It wasn't like that at all. Let's get out of this fuckin' shower, and I'll tell you all about it." The boys quickly washed themselves, dried, and crossed the hall to Shaun's room. They heard the men talking in the next bedroom. And, while Zach closed the door behind him, to give them a little privacy, Shaun stacked both pillows against the headboard and reclined against them. Spreading his legs wide, he watched as Zach climbed onto the bed and sat cross-legged between his feet. Neither spoke for a moment or two, and Zach began to nervously play with the dark hairs that had suddenly begun to crop-up in abundance on Shaun's lower legs. "Well..." Shaun was the first to speak. Zach looked up. "I still think your dad's a hot man, if that's what you were wondering." He glanced at Shaun's hairy leg. "Hell, I wouldn't call him Mr. Hottie, if I didn't. And you'd probably call him that, too, if he wasn't your father." A hint of a smirk crossed his face. "But I learned something this afternoon, Shaun." "Like what?" Without any hesitation at all, Zach answered as sincerely as he knew how, "Just how much you mean to me." He looked down at the rumpled bedsheets for a moment, while putting his thoughts in order. "After you guys left, your dad and I sat on the couch and talked for a long time, about all kinds of stuff." He looked Shaun in the eye. "Not like a teacher, or any adult talking down to a kid; but ... I don't know ... almost like he was a teenager, too. Maybe the older brother I never had, or something." Shaun's face was incredulous. "Hey, I know how weird that sounds." Laughing softly, Zach shook his head. "He told me how lucky the two of us were to have found each other at our age. He seemed ashamed, but he even told me that he had the hots for me. Can you imagine that?" Smiling, Shaun replied, "If he wasn't such an old man, I'd say he'd be crazy not to feel that way!" "He's not that old, Shaun. Not compared to my mom, anyways." "Yeah, well..." "I wish I had a dad like him, Shaun. I mean, you're SO fuckin' lucky." He shook his head, before continuing. "Kinda shy-like, he asked me if I wanted him to get naked like me; and of course, I said yeah." Wide-eyed, he swallowed. "His cock was hard, and everything. Fuck, I thought it looked big in those tight pants he wore to school that day, but it's HUGE when you see it up close! No wonder Liam..." He shook his head again. "Anyways, we jacked off together. He seemed to enjoy watching me cum; and I SURE as hell liked it when he shot all over that hairy chest of his! We'd just cleaned up and settled in to watch the football game, when you and Liam came back. That's all that happened, Shaun; I swear." Zach crossed his heart with his left hand. Zach was telling the truth, Shaun had no doubt; he could see it in his eyes. Although it was as if a heavy weight had been lifted from Shaun's chest, he needed another question answered. "Do you still wanna do more stuff with him?" Suddenly, he WANTED to hear the answer, whatever it might be. "You know ... before I talked to him today, I thought I would ... and maybe a part of me still does. But, Shaun, I've been thinking about it all ... a lot." He looked his boyfriend in the eye again. "And, Shaun, I've already got the best guy in the whole world." Shaun's amazing smile spoke louder than words ever could. Zach leaned forward and took him into his arms... *** Epilogue: After the Christmas holidays, and the weeklong visit by Shaun's two younger siblings, Jeremy and Liam began house hunting. They discovered that property truly is expensive in Boulder County; but, by pooling their resources, they were able to buy a small place on the outskirts of Hygiene. It wasn't all that far from the Andersen farm, and Zach spent a lot of time there. The single story home, built in the 1960s, had a tall, wooden privacy fence surrounding the back yard, and plenty of mature trees. Unlike in the apartment, Jeremy truly felt they could be themselves, without putting their lives on display to others. Both men and boys wholeheartedly embraced the Naturist lifestyle. During the second semester, Zach, being Zach, still put on classroom shows for Mr. Hottie from time to time... "Just to keep your dad horny," was what he told Shaun. But he also enjoyed acting sexy in front of Mr. Carter ... a lot! After those classes, both boys would laugh about Zach's antics. And because Zach and Jeremy had come to an understanding, in the apartment, that early December afternoon, Jeremy could now truly enjoy Zach's little shows. Mr. Hottie ... every time he heard it, Jeremy chuckled on the inside. But he liked the teen's sexy name for him ... just so long as Zach didn't use it in the classroom! *** A note to my readers: I hope you guys enjoyed the final chapter of Mr. Hottie! I'm sorry it took so long to post, but I had been going around and around about the ending for months. After I finished chapter 41, I thought I had everything worked out. But I found out, when I started on this chapter, that it wasn't. Nothing seemed to be falling into place. Then I was sick with the flu for a few days, and spent the better part of two weeks recovering. The chapter was about half finished, and I didn't do any writing during that time. But I guess I was thinking about the story. Anyway, when I got back to writing, it only took a week or so to finish the rest of the first draft. For better or worse, I pretty much just let the story tell itself toward the end. I want to sincerely thank both my Story Consultant, Drew, and my Editor and Proofreader, Jere, for all their help with this work. It wouldn't have been possible without both of them. I don't know when I will begin my next story, or what it will be about. But I learned a couple of valuable lessons while writing Mr. Hottie: I do higher quality work, by far, when I have lots and lots of time for rewrites. (I think the first seven or eight chapters of this story prove that.) And I sometimes tend to chase rabbits that would be better off left alone. Anyway, I will have my next story written in its entirety, before I begin to post it. As always, I want to thank each and every one of you for reading ... many of you have followed this story from week one. Some of you guys have been following my writing for over six years; man how time flies! I've said this before, but you guys are the best readers on the web, bar none! And I mean that with everything that is in me. Until next time! Greg a.k.a.
