If I die she gets it all, as next of kin, I wonder if I can make a will at the age of 16, I will ask Mr. Ransom." Lex and I had fucked, I told Lex what had happened, and felt much better than I had an hour before. I could even deal with the routine again, "Where did you put the car keys?" being evidence of it. Life then settled down. Classmates were aware that Lex and I were bi, if not gay, and a few physical confrontations had proven that we were pretty macho, nobody got really hurt, but they did get humiliated, and our approach was to take them out, mostly using martial arts/TSA techniques, never more than one on one, and then invite them out for a hamburger or pizza, and get to know them, and let them get to know us, that we were not a threat to their heterosexuality, and, mostly it worked. Some, particularly teammates, became friends, and a few, wanted to try man sex out. I turned 18 in March of my Senior year. I had not heard from Irene since her visit 18 months or so earlier. Irene, once I reached 18, wanted the house sold and all the furniture and furnishings that my father had inherited from their parents, given to her. She told me she was showing up, I called Mr. Ransom, my lawyer, he said he could show up, Lex was going to be home, but I told him to make himself scarce, since getting her out of our lives, peacefully, was in everyone's best interests. As a gesture of good will, I offered her the China and crystal, since I never used it, but not the sterling silver, since I was pretty sure she would just sell it and it was worth about $30,000 if melted down. I also offered some of the furniture, including my father's bed, some of the living room furniture, it was old and pretty worn out, the dining room table and chairs, and some other pieces, since Lex and I decided to get a water bed and some more modern, and comfortable, furniture. She took the China but did not want anything else, when it came down to it. She complained to Mr. Ransom, my lawyer, that Lex was queer and a bad influence on me. He was very aware of it all, and told her Lex's sexuality, and mine for that matter, was none of her business, and if she spread any such rumors and was wrong (which she was not) she could be sued for damages. She left the house. He also reminded me that I was now in possession of much of the cash my father had left, free of trust restrictions, I could sell the house if it made sense, and, importantly, I could write a binding will. I talked to Lex about this, and I left everything to him, and he left everything he had, which at that point was zero, to his mother, and if she died first, to his three siblings. Jason's Story -- Part 12 I was accepted to the state college, and was to start my Freshman year as Lex started his Junior year. Random sex did not have the appeal it did when we were two years younger, and AIDS was even a bigger threat. SO, for a big change, we tried monogamy. That lasted all of a month. Our social circles were very different, we were still very young, and very horny, and agreed that we were not ready to be an old married gay couple, but that we would tell what we did, and, if we fell out of love, and into love with anyone else, we would confess right away. So that worked. I was promoted again at the supermarket, the summer after high school graduation I was made evening manager, with the title as well as the pay which I had been getting all of my Senior year, and as a Freshman, two days a week, evening manager, mostly on weekends, which limited my Friday and Saturday night dating potential. But, I had enough money coming in from my investments in the trust, which I was now in charge of, and the job. So, I did not need to be a rent boy. But I missed the sex, the excitement, and the variety. My buddy, Ian, the addict, died of an overdose, they found his body near the bus stop, behind the fence, one January morning. He would have died of AIDS anyway, back then, even without the drug issue. College went well for me, I made new friends, male and female, I found journalism, and got a gig writing some news for the local paper, paid by the line that got published, I did travel features, for places I had never been, using promotional materials I sent away for, and, the recollections of friends who had been there. So, for example, if a friend had been to Paris, I took his observations, and sometimes his photos, and the promotional materials, and wrote a piece for the Sunday edition. The editor knew what I was doing, and thought it a great lark, as he said. There is more to tell, but that will be in another chain under Gay, College,R Rent Boys Revisited, Lex's Story.
