So that kid wasn't on the bus again. I don't know whether to be worried or not. I totally forgot about my math homework that I had due today, so I'm doing that assignment on the bus. It's pretty fun to wrestle my notebook, textbook, calculator, and worksheet on a moving, jostling bus. In other news, it's Thursday! I`m pretty much shaking with a mixture of nervousness and excitement. After the bus stops, I get off the bus and hurry to the auditorium. I learned my lesson last time. I asked Mr. Chance when we were going to practice the organ so I could get things set up ahead of time. He gave me a schedule, but told me that it wasn't set in stone. Today, he plans on having the orchestra in the auditorium to practice with the organs. I get the key out of my pocket and start getting things set. This stinking console is ridiculously heavy. I get it all hooked up and head out to open the pipe chambers. After they were all ready, I get the digital ready. I haven't played the pipe organ since last year, so I hop on it and start playing. I'm just improvising. I get a little thought in my head. (Uh oh!) I pull out all the stops. I think everyone on the other side of the school is going to hear this! I start playing Stars and Strips Forever. I played this piece last year in our local Fourth of July parade. I actually loaded my digital theater organ from home up onto a flatbed trailer with a generator! It was crazy, playing while we moved, stopped, moved. And people kept coming up and asking me questions! I was like "Hello..trying to play here.." Anyway...You know how some people have photographic memory? Well, I sort of have an audio-induced memory. I play by ear, so when I play music over and over and over, I can pick the piece up three years later and play it like I've practiced for it ahead of time. I get to the part where the piccolo plays a solo and I hear something weird...a part I'm not playing! Just before I think I'm going crazy, I look over at the digital and see Kyle playing! We go at it, playing as best we can, as fast as we can. This is amazing! We finish the song. My ears are ringing! "That was cool!" Am I yelling? "Yeah! I heard you playing, so I joined in." "When did you play that?" "Haha..that was the first time. I can usually pick out the key and play just about anything." "Really? That's how I am. Sometimes Mr. Chance has me improvise to a piece." "Cool! We should have jam sessions or something...haha!" "Yeah, haha!" The orchestra starts coming in, one by one. When they are all there, we start practicing the organ concerto. The two organs melt into one as the orchestra accompanies them, making a song of jubilation, of a new day. It makes me want to cry, but I know I've got to hold back. After the piece is over, I look over at Kyle, and he has this weird look on his face. Is he crying? He looks over at me and we both blush. I still feel like I want to cry, but I continue to hold back. We start playing other pieces, so I go to my chair and get my violin out. We play the pieces and ten minutes till the bell rings, Mr. Chance instructs the orchestra to put their things away. Kyle and I put the digital away and close the pipe organ. We get done with a couple of minutes left. We're sitting on the front row. "So, mom said you could stay the night tonight if you wanted," Kyle said. He looks kind of nervous. "Oh, that'd be fun. I'll have to ask my mom, but I'm pretty sure she'll be okay with it." "Okay. Hey, do you have messenger?" "Yeah." We exchanged addresses and went on our way. During lunch, I sit at my usual table by myself. Sometimes some people come at sit at it. I feel weird when they do because I have this thing with eating in front of people. Especially people I don't know very well. I've got a turkey sandwich, some cheetos, a can of sprite, and to top it all off, two pieces of licorice. I'm about to bite into my sandwich and Kyle sits down with his lunch. "Hey," he says. "Hey. How's it goin?" "Alright. Stinking algebra. I hate math." "Haha, me too. So should I bring anything tonight?" "Um...probably like a pillow and clothes and stuff. I think mom's going to order some pizza for us or something." "Okay." "If you have any x-box games, we could play them. I've got a couple, but not too many." "Yeah, I don't have very many, either. It's been ages since I've played it." "Haha..we've got, like, a zillion movies, too." "Haha, okay." The rest of the day pretty much went on like normal. I talked with Kyle a little bit in Journalism. We went to get ads from several companies, but Kyle was with a different group. I went home and mom was in the kitchen, washing dishes. My blood goes cold. I had a dream like this the other day. She turns around when she hears me come in. She washing a plate, no blood. "What's the matter, Sam? You look weird..." I giggle nervously. "Haha...yeah, I'm okay. Hey...Kyle's mom asked if I could sleep over tonight. Is that okay? "Yeah, sure. That'd be fine." "Sweet. Alright. I'm gonna talk to him on messenger to see what time I'm supposed to be there." "Alright. Let me know and I'll drive you over there." I go to the computer room and flip the computer on. This thing's ancient. It finally boots. I open messenger. There's a piece of paper in my notebook with his address on it. I look in my backpack. Shit. It's not in there. I log onto messenger. A box pops up. "kh16 Would like to add you as a contact." I click yes. Kyle Holster is online. I double click and type a message. Sam Says: Hey. Kyle Says: Hey. What did ur mom say? Sam Says: She said it was ok. What time do u want me to come? Kyle Says: Sweet. Any time. My sister's party is starting now, so the sooner the better. Lol Sam Says: K. Kyle Says: U remember where I live? Sam Says: Yep. I'll b there in a bit. Kyle says: K. cya Sam Says: Later Kyle has left the conversation. I get some shorts and a t-shirt to sleep in, some jeans and a shirt for tomorrow, my toothbrush, and a pillow and pack it into my backpack. I hop in the shower, not knowing if I'll be able to shower at Kyle's. I turn the water on, wait for it to get hot. I take my clothes off, but lay them on the counter. No use in changing clothes for the rest of the day. I get in the shower and start washing. Gosh..I've got a raging hard on. I start rubbing myself. My thoughts turn to Kyle. His slender body, his smooth voice. So sexy. I use the water to lubricate between my cock and my hand. I imagine rubbing my hands up his shirt on his flat, smooth belly to his chest, then back down and pulling his pants down. As my right hand is busy, my left hand shakes uncontrollably. My eyes are closed. Fury. Desire. My ears go numb. I hear nothing but swoosh, swoosh, swoosh. My left arm is tensed up, almost paralyzed. The world drops from under me and everything goes blank. I'm breathing really hard. I've got a gooey mess on my hand. I wonder what this stuff tastes like. I taste a little. It's salty, kinda weird. I feel weird for trying it. Shit. How long have I been sitting like this? The water doesn't seem cold, but I've lost any sense of time. I wash it off my hands and finish my shower. "Remember, Sam. You're a guest, so act like one." "I know, mom, I will." "I'll see you tomorrow." "Bye, mom." "Bye, Sam." I get out of the car and walk towards the steps. I can hear noises from the backyard. Kyle's sister and her friends must be back there. I ring the doorbell. Sam answers the door. "Hey, Sam! I'm so glad you're here...they almost dragged me outside....and it's scary out there." "Haha! Well, I've got my stuff." "Okay. Come on in, I'll show you my room." But I didn't make it to his room. I walked into the living room and what did I see? "Holy shit," I whisper. "What?" Kyle meets my stare. "It's a B3," he says. "A Hammond B3," I repeated. "Is that a Leslie 122?" "Yep. Some guy down the street gave it to us when I was little. That's how I got into playing the organ." "Sweet...My mom had a C3 and a 145. She thought she wanted to learn, but gave up. The only reason we kept it was because I played around on it all the time. We sold it when we moved." "Sweet. Maybe we could play it sometime." "Cool!" We walk up the stairs and went to Kyle's room. He has a pretty sweet set up. He's got a tv, X-Box, computer. The room is filled up with a double bed, two dressers, and a desk. "You can leave your stuff in here. I think mom's got pizza for us downstairs." "Okay." We walk back down the stairs, and Kyle's mom is sitting on the couch watching tv. She stands up and walks towards us. "Hello! You must be Sam," she says. "Hey," I say, kind of smiling. "Your pizza is in the kitchen." "Thanks, mom," Kyle says. We walk around the corner, into the kitchen. It's pretty big. There's a pizza box on the table. Kyle opens it. God, he's cute. He's wearing khaki shorts, a dark red t-shirt, and no socks or shoes. His shorts fit nicely as he bends over the pizza box. For some reason, I can't stop looking at his feet. "Sam?" "What?" "I said, do you want sprite, or we've got coke, or water...or milk." "Oh, sprite's fine." Shit. I'm blushing. Is he blushing? Is that normal? God, I'm nervous now. We get paper plates, and Kyle puts two slices on his and grabs a napkin. I do the same, and follow Kyle back to his room. We here some noise coming from upstairs. "Looks like we're trapped up here," Kyle says. "It's like a mob, believe me." We laugh. We played some gun game on the X-Box, but it gets boring pretty fast, so we watch some television. We don't pay much attention to what's on. We start talking about stuff. Orchestra, journalism, school stuff. As we're talking, I keep watching his mouth. I don't know what it is about it. His lips are so soft looking. They're pretty slim and pale. When he laughs, he smiles. When he smiles, it pretty much takes my breath away. I laugh along, although I have no idea what I'm laughing at. It just feels good to be next to him, sitting on the floor, watching tv, even though we're not really paying attention to anything but each other. Kyle stands up, pulls his shorts up really high and stoops over. "Okay, children," he says in an old-man voice. "We really need to get ready faster. I coulda taken a piss three time during the time it took you ass holes to get your damned instruments out. Now, you'd better have your instruments out by the time I get done putting Rogain in my hair again." By now, I'm giggling uncontrollably. He pulls his shorts back down and sits down beside me, giggling. When we finally settle down, we're just sitting there, looking at each other. His eyes seem like you could look into them without seeing the other end. He looks way, his face turns red. I look away, kind of nervous. "Well, it's like two in the morning. I guess we should probably go to bed," Kyle says. "Oh shit, man. I forgot to get a sleeping bag out of the garage." "It's okay, I'll sleep on the floor." "Well, my bed's big enough for both of us, if you don't care. I mean...it's whatever." I look over at him, almost in disbelief, but really nervous. He's kind of looking away, kind of red in the face. I swallow. God, I bet you could here that a mile away. "Okay, that's fine." "Okay. I've gotta brush my teeth cuz these stupid braces." He looks at me and grins really big, showing off his braces. He looks less nervous, almost relieved, though. "Alright. I'll change while you're doing that." He leaves the room. I dig out my shorts and t-shirt I brought to sleep in. I change and put my dirty clothes in the corner, next to my bag. I get out my toothbrush and wait. Kyle comes back in. "I'm gonna brush my teeth, too. Where's your bathroom?" "It's right next to this room. To the right." "Okay." I brush my teeth and come back to Kyle's room. He's got the light turned off and a lamp on his bedside table is on. He's laying on the bed, in shorts and a t-shirt. I almost can't breath. He's sooo cute. I can't believe I'm his friend. I climb on the bed on the other side. He pulls the covers over both of us and turns the lamp out. "Goodnight," he says. "Goodnight." After two hours of laying in the dark, listening to Kyle's breathing, I turn from my back to my right side, facing away from him. I usually sleep on my left side, but I'm nervous that he'd think it was weird if I turned toward him. I hear something behind me, I feel Kyle moving. I feel his arm on my side. His hand is on my chest. He's pulled close to me, almost spooning me. He must be sleeping, not knowing what he's doing. I start moving a little away from him. His hand pulls me closer. "Sam," he whispers. "Yeah?" "It's okay." I stop pulling away. I take my left hand and hold his hand against my chest. So many emotions are going through my head right now. I'm almost dizzy. I feel tears welling up in my eyes. Is this wrong? Is this normal? I can feel the heat from his body. I could stay like this forever.
