Seal It with a Kiss

This is just the icing on the cake of the worst few days of my life. I
stare in horror at my computer screen, as tear slip down my face as the
rain continues to fall outside. I'm staring at a picture of me doing things
that not even I would do if my life depended on it. The picture made me
feel dirty, ugly and unwanted, and to make it worse, the comments posted by
some of my peers where the most hurtful words I have ever read in my life.

A normal thing like this would usually roll off my back, but the way things
were going these few days, anything could send me over the edge. I continue
to cry as I crawl into a fetal position as the rain continues to fall.

I think I know who did this. I know what I need to do to prove them wrong
and show all of them.


<<<<<<<<<<A Few Days Before<<<<<<<<<<<<<

"Honey, do you want to come with me to the model casting today?" My mother
asked while I poured myself some cereal. Kim and L are already dressed and
ready for the day.

We have been in New York for two weeks now. Time was really flying by.

"Of course mom; when are we leaving?" I ask.

"As soon as you are ready."

"Cool."

L comes over and whispers in my ear, "Maybe you can find yourself a
boyfriend."

"What a way to pimp me out," I reply back.


"So ,what you girls doing today ?" My mother asked.

"Meeting up with some friends." Kim said.

"I going with you and Jay if that okay," L said biting an apple.

"Of course hon."

I quickly devour my breakfast and quickly take a shower. I get ready fast
and before I know it, we are out the door.

In the cab ride to the studio for the casting, my mother is on the phone
planning little details for her new clothing line, "S‚duisant Trouille",
(Attractive Funk), while I continue to looked out the window at all the
people that make up New York City. This is the life I thought. I just
wonder if I would ever meet anyone in this concrete jungle. I saw H&M,
Bloomingdale's and the Levi's store as L bumps her shoulders with mine.

"Pretty soon you'll be able to get around the city by yourself," L said
smiling.

"Yeah right; I would get lost," I reply skeptically.

"You always find your way." I smile at that. The car stops and my mother
hands the cabbie his fare. L and I make our way into the building.

Inside in the building the whole decor was futuristic-modern as we find the
elevator after a quick stop at the front desk.

"Mom you did well," I tell her, still taking in the whole scenery.

"Yes you did Dena," L agrees.

"Did you expect less?" She asks, beaming with pride.

As we exit the elevator at the sixth floor, we're greeted by my mother's
receptionist, who is very hot by the way.

"Good afternoon Dena. How are you today?" The receptionist asks all smiles.

"Okay; I'm just getting everything ready for the fashion show." My mother
replies after looking around.

"Everything will go off without a hitch. Who is this?" He asks, staring at
L and I.

"Oh, this is my son Jay, and this is his best friend L ; guys, this is
Miles." My mother states, like she just remembered us.

"Nice to meet you guys" Miles replies still smiling.

"You too," L and I say at the same time as we shake his hand.

Miles was polished; his hair was slicked back, he wore an expensive
button-up shirt and slacks. He looks at me like I am a piece of meat. We
continue on our journey to where the models are meeting.

"Someone likes you," L teases, while we travel behind my mother.

"Yeah, I know, but he is too old."

She laughs. As we pass people they greet my mother like she is the greatest
person in here; it's weird because to me, she is just my mother.

"Guys, will you please go in that room? That's where we will see the
models. I'll be right back; I just need to grab my notes."

We do as she asks, and when we walk in we notice that everyone is freaking
gorgeous! The guys are all tall and lean, and dressed to kill. So are the
girls. They all look at me. I mean, I am 5"11, so I'm not as tall as any of
the guys. A few smirked at me, little did they know my mom has the power to
cast them or cut them.

"Everyone, look what the garbage truck dragged in," one of the guys said as
a few of them laugh.

I look over to L who is flirting away with this hunk of a guy. She's not
paying the guy who made that remark any attention. Finally she finishes her
conversation and comes back over to me.

"L, you are swimming in dangerous territory," I say smirking.

"What, it is just helpless flirting." She replies, faking innocence.

"Whatever you say, but remember Erick your boyfriend?" I ask playfully.

"Oh, how can I not; he is my everything," she states with a dreamy look in
her eyes.


"I can understand why she is here, (he says pointing to L), but what are
you doing here?" I roll my eyes knowing it's the same guy from before, as L
blushes.

"Shut up Chad!" One of the guys says as he stands up. He is so sexy. He
smiled at me. "Don't pay him any mind; he's just a dick. My name is Aiden,"
he holds out his hand and I shake it.

"I'm Jay and this is L," I reply with a little blush on my cheeks, while
pointing to L flirting away with the guy who just insulted me.

"I heard Dena is a hard ass; I hope this goes off smoothly." Aiden says.

I smile and nod my head. My mother comes back. She goes to the front of the
room.

"Hello all, so I want you to walk for me...Wait!  Where is my son and his
best friend, L .. Jay? Guys?" Aiden and the others look at L and I, I smirk
as we walk to the front of the room.

"So, I want you all to clear out. I will call you in one by one. Once you
come in, give me your portfolios, and then walk for me."

"Good luck everyone!" I cheer. I look directly at Aiden; he half-smiles.

They all clear out, and the process began. I'm bored watching people
walk. I notice my mom taking down notes. I don't see Aiden but Chad comes
in, he gives my mom his portfolio. She opens it, and I see his photos. He
takes beautiful pictures. I look up at him; he smiles and winks at me. I
roll my eyes; he then starts walking for my mom.

"Okay, thank you." She writes something down and hands him his portfolio
back, and he walks out. Then Aiden walks in. (Last, but not least). He
hands my mom his portfolio, and then walks for her; she looks
impressed. God knows I'm impressed with him!

"Thank you Aiden. I definitely want you in the show." she states.

"Wow, that's great! I never thought casting would be that easy!" He looks
at me. I shrug my shoulders.

She hands him his portfolio and he leaves. L looks at me.

"I saw the way you were looking at him, and he is gorgeous, so it is a
win-win." I roll my eyes at that.

We get up and leave the room. Aiden is standing right outside. L looks at
me with a smile.

"L! Will you go away?" she chuckles and goes to talk to some of the people
she met today. I walk over to Aiden.

"Did you have anything to do with that quick casting?" he asks.

"Aiden, I barely know you. Why would I have anything to do with your
casting? You did it on your own. I mean, you're sexy; you know that." I
close my eyes. I did not just say that. I open my eyes again and look at
Aiden. He's smiling at me.

"You think I'm sexy?" he asks with a light laugh.

"I mean, um..." I scratch my head, he laughs even harder.

"Relax, since you endured the boring, how about I treat you to lunch? I
know this great pizzeria!"

"Okay. I mean, sure if you want, but let me see what L is doing." I
reply. He nods his head yes.

I walk over to where L is and ask to talk to her privately.

"L, I'm going to go out to lunch with Aiden; do you mind?" I ask her
hopeful she doesn't mind me ditching her.

"Of course not! I'm going to go out with some of the people I met also!"
she replies with a sign of gratitude.

"Cool, so I will see you tonight at the hotel," I say grateful for the
opportunity to get to know Aiden a bit more.

"Great, see you later," she replies as we go our separate ways. I head back
over to Aiden.

"Everything set?" he asks almost like a plea.

"Yes, so let's go," I reply all smiles as we leave the building.

We are walking down the street when I suddenly stop, hitting my palm to my
forehand, as I remember that I forgot to tell mom I am going out.

"What's wrong?" Aiden asks worried.

"I forgot to tell my mom that I was leaving." I reply.

"So why don't you just call her?" He asks, matter-of-factly.

"Great idea," I reply while taking my phone out of my pocket and quickly
dialing my mother's number.

"Hey honey, where are you?" My mother asks.

"I am with a friend; we're going out for lunch, is it okay?" I ask her,
hoping she will say yes.

"Of course! Just make sure next time you tell me your plans before you
leave." she replies laughing.

"I will, so I will see you later," I say with a sigh.

"Yes, so bye honey, have fun and be safe." My mother states with a little
authority.

"I will be. Bye." I reply as I hang up.

"So, is everything alright" Aiden asks me.

"Of course, so lead the way." I reply with a hand gesture that says after
you.

"I will," he says playing along.

We finally get to the pizzeria; it's not crowded, so we quickly give the
waitress our order and sit in the back for some privacy.

"So, tell me about yourself." I say digging into my pizza.

"Okay, what do you want to know?" Aiden asks taking a slip of his coke.

"Everything."

He tells me that he is an only child and he has rich parents who had kicked
him out of the house for some reason that he will not tell me. That's when
he decided he could make a living for himself by modeling. He tells me his
family comes from old money so his parents don't have to work. He says this
is good since his mother is more into socializing and holding big parties,
while his father continues working in the family business which is mining
gold in Africa. He's twenty-two and born and raised in New York.

"Oh, and I am six feet tall with brown almost black eyes, black wavy hair,
and a great body." He states, clearly making a joke out of it.

"Whatever." I laugh.

"So tell me about you." Aiden states.

"What do you want to know?"

"Everything." He says mocking me.

I go on to tell him I am from Los Angeles. I tell him that I have an older
sister named Kim. My dad is a big shot lawyer in LA, while my mother, as he
knows, is a world famous fashion designer. I also mention that I am sixteen
years old.

"Oh, and I am five feet, eleven inches tall, with bluish-green eyes, black
straight hair and a great body." I say mimicking him.

"Whatever," he mocks me, as he rolls his eyes and I choke on my drink
because I'm laughing so hard.

We continue to talk about anything and everything. Aiden is really easily
to talk to and very funny. After we finish eating and talking, we head back
to the office.

"It was nice meeting you Jay, I'll see you around." Aiden turns to walk
away.

"Wait, don't you want my number?" I ask him.

"I already have it; I took your cell phone when you weren't looking. I got
your number and I put my number in your phone." He kisses me on the cheek,
and disappears into the crowd of endless people walking by.

When I get to my mother's office my mother was getting ready to leave.

"So, Jay how was your lunch?" My mother asks as she starts gathering her
things together.

"Fine, Aiden is really as great person and easy to talk to."

"Great, at least you had fun."

"So you ready to leave?"

"Of course,"

"Okay, so let's go." My mom says.

We gather in the living room around the fireplace with milk and cookies
just as Kim steps out of the elevator.

"Hey Kim, how was your day?" I ask looking over my shoulder.

Kim jumps over the couch landing right next to mom. She takes some of the
milk and cookies while my mom fakes disappointment while L and I laugh at
Kim antics.

"It was great; what about you?" she asks, eating mom's cookies.

We all continue to talk about our adventures until we all call it a day and
hit the sack.

I go to my bed with a big smile on my face thinking that Aiden was
definitely something else, and I think I could fall for him. Who knows the
endless possibilities, right?

I hope you guys like it. There won't be any sex for some time, but it will
