Two boys, a fishing shack on the bay, and a summer to change their lives...

Readers have asked how much of my stories are biographical. The answer for me, as for most authors, is that every story contains people I have known and experiences I have had. However, this story is not my story.

And yet, in many ways, there was a summer when I was very young… a summer that sealed my fate.
