Thanks for sticking with me through the ups and the downs. Remember to look for Mannie the Marine real soon! AND the last installment of The Prick is on its way! Let me know what you thought of this series! http://virtualinsanity.jeanessa.com ********************************************************************** Part Fourteen Christian ran his hands through his hair nervously and shot Kiesha a quelling look. She was doing her best, trying to cheer him up and do the best friend thing to the hilt, but he wasn't in the mood. She got the hint and got up off of his sofa, looking around for her purse. "Where are you going?" he asked, still seated in an armchair, biting his nail as he watched her. "Away from you," she told him bluntly. "You're depressing me." He pouted at her, but he knew she was right. There was less than a month left of their senior year and they would be out of mandatory school for the rest of their lives. He should be celebrating, but he wasn't. It had been a rough few months with Wade grafted to Jon's side, aiding in his recovery. Christian understood Wade's need to help, but he couldn't help feeling left out. Particularly now that the two had moved into a rambling four bedroom house on the other side of town together. "I'm not trying to," he protested, knowing that if she left, he could be stuck in his house alone for the rest of the night sulking. "I know," Kiesha said, finding her purse halfway across the room. "That's what makes it that much more urgent that I get the hell out of here." She walked over to the armchair, kissed him on the cheek and ruffled his hair like a little boy before going to the door. "See ya tomorrow," he said quietly and she grinned at him. "I'm going to watch Reggie lift weights," she said. "Call me if you need me." And she was out of the door. Christian sighed when she was gone and went to the kitchen, peering into the fridge for a long, unseeing time. He had to shake himself out of this rut he was getting into. He was going to be supportive of Wade's plans to help Jon regardless of how lonely he felt at times. Jon's needs were definitely more important than his own right now. Jon's recovery had been miraculous in that he was alive at all, but the rest was slow. Over the past six months he had mastered the walking and talking parts easily enough, but what scared them the most were the blackouts he experienced almost everyday and the regression in his analytical thinking skills. Those were things that there was no clear recovery plan for and Wade was just winging it with the help of a part-time therapist named Carol. Christian was worried sick about the amount of pressure Wade was putting on himself. He knew that Wade was going to do everything in his power to help Jon, if for no other reason than to prove to himself that he was a good friend. What Christian wanted more than anything was to share that pressure, to take some of that pressure for Wade. But the miniscule amount of time they were spending together didn't give Christian the opportunity to do anything more than pamper Wade and send him back on his way. He didn't feel comfortable expressing his own loneliness or worry to Wade when they had so little time together and when Wade already had so many other things to deal with. Christian took out a package of chicken breasts his mom had left in the fridge for him to cook and looked around for fresh peppers. He was telling himself to suck it up when the doorbell rang. He abandoned his efforts in the kitchen and went to answer the door. "Who is it?" he called. "Wade," the familiar baritone called back. Christian's heart sped up in his chest and he unlocked the door with shaky fingers. He smiled real wide at the sight of Wade in a t-shirt and jeans, his dark hair disheveled and bags under his beautiful gray eyes. "Hey, babe," Chris said lightly and hugged him tightly. Wade wrapped his arms around Christian with a huge sigh, then kissed him. "God, I miss you," Wade said when he pulled back, his eyes locked with Chris's reading the emotion that he was trying valiantly to hide. "I miss you, too," Christian said, then he went into caretaker mode, pulling Wade into the house. "So, what have you been up to all day?" "I dropped Jon off with Carol this morning and went to class," Wade said. "I got most of my assignments done the night before so I just dropped those off with my afternoon teachers so that I could pick Jon up by one. Everything's alright on the school front, I should still be able to graduate on time." "You'd better," Christian told him and Wade grinned. "Then I picked Jon up and we grabbed some burgers," Wade went on. "Then I took him home and we started painting the den. He did a bang up job, Chris, I was real happy about that. Now, I've got two hours while he goes through his orientation at the Taco Fiesta. I'm real worried about him taking this job." "He's got to do something, Wade," Christian told him and moved closer to Wade, lifting the t-shirt encouragingly. "Nobody wants to feel useless." Wade lifted his arms and allowed Christian to remove his t-shirt, distractedly. "I know, but this might be too soon," Wade protested. "It's only been six months since the accident." "If it doesn't work out, then you've learned a lesson, right?" Christian told him, reaching for the button and zipper at his crotch. "You'll know what to do for the next time." "You make everything sound so simple," Wade said, grinning at him and removing his sneakers so that Christian could kneel down and slide his pants off of him. "You make everything sound so complicated," Christian said, then bit his lip at the sight of Wade standing there, his muscular form revealed so nicely with nothing but his boxers on. "You could be an underwear model, you know that, Wade?" Wade flashed a slightly cocky smile. "As long as you think so, we're fine," Wade told him and Christian smiled, leading him up to his bedroom. Wade sighed at the clean, warm interior and stretched out on his stomach across the bed. Christian dug a towel out of his dresser, folded it neatly and placed it over the back of Wade's head. Then, he crouched on the bed, almost straddling Wade and began to move his fingers soothingly over Wade's warm skin. Wade groaned almost imperceptibly and sort of melted into the bed as Christian's fingers eased away the tension of the day and the worries that were still in his mind. He gave himself up to the only therapy he allowed himself, Christian. The smell of him was everywhere, on the sheets and pillows beneath him, lingering on the air in the room. Wade breathed it in happily, his body attuned to every movement Christian made and his dick rock hard. They were like that for a long time, Christian's fingers working over him and Wade quietly allowing himself to feel content. Then, Christian faltered. Wade felt it the moment it happened and he half-turned over to look at Christian. "What?" he asked. "Nothing," Christian said and tried to urge Wade back onto his stomach, his fingers working again. Wade turned himself all the way over, forcing Christian onto his butt. "What is it?" Wade asked again, his face serious. "Please, don't lie to me, Chris." Christian heaved a big sigh and rolled off of the bed. "I don't want to talk about it," Christian said, rubbing his tingling fingers mechanically. Wade sat on the edge of the bed and watched Christian. "If something's bothering you, then I want to talk about it." "Shit, Wade, let's not do this right now," Christian said. "We can do this some other time." "Spill." Christian threw his hands up and turned to face Christian. "Are we always going to be like this?" Christian asked. "Like what?" Wade asked. "Like this! You barely let me in." "What do you mean?" Wade asked, alarmed. "You're everything to me." "No, I'm not," Christian said. Wade stood up and walked over to Christian, putting his hands on Christian's arms. "Christian," he said emphatically. "You are everything to me." "Then, I want in," Christian told him. "What do you mean in?" Wade asked. "I feel like Jon is your family and I'm on the outside looking in," Christian told him and Wade locked eyes with him. "Please, don't tell me that you have a problem with me helping Jon out because I made a promise to him that I would help him. I want to help him." "God, no, Wade, I don't have a problem with what you're doing for Jon," Chris said. "I love Jon with all my heart. Everything he did for me when I thought he was nothing more than a jock, how could I do anything but love him? No, I just want in. I want to help." "This isn't your problem, Chris," Wade told him firmly. "You've got so much other stuff to worry about. You have to finish school." "So do you." "You have to get settled into college." "So do you." "When everything's settled, when Jon is functioning okay and you're settled in school and everything, that's when I want you to move in," Wade said. "You want me to move in with you?" Christian asked. "Of course, I want you to move in with me," Wade said, like it was a given. "How am I supposed to know this?" Christian wanted to know. "You never tell me anything." "I love you, Chris," Wade said. "You're my man. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Of course that means we'll live together." Christian felt his vision blurring and he blinked a few times. "I want that so bad, Wade," Christian admitted. "I just don't want to wait forever. Why are we waiting?" "I want things to be right," Wade told him. "I want Jon functioning, not to be a burden to you. I want your mom to know that I'm doing everything I can, my absolute best for you. I just want things to be right." "Things are right," Christian told him. "You love me. I love you. That's all that matters." "No, Chris," Wade said. "That's not all that matters. I don't ever...I don't ever want to lose you. I don't want to do some dumb shit like fuck up and have you dealing with Jon and taking care of me, then you get worn out and you neglect yourself and you want out." Christian laughed. "Yeah, right," he said. "You can't be that insecure." Wade pinched the bridge of his nose. "I guess I am." "Look, Wade, I'm not ever gonna leave you," Christian told him. "You'll be the one who has to leave me." "That's not gonna happen," Wade said with a little grin. "So, we agree that we're stuck with each other?" "Yeah." "So, I'll pack my shit up and move in with you tonight," Christian said excitedly and Wade shook his head. "We compromise," Wade said, moving real close to Christian, wrapping his arms around Christian and running his fingertips along Christian's spine. "You finish up at school, then you enroll in college, wherever you want to go locally. You give me the summer to work this thing out with Jon and get him sort of independent. That means you stay here with your mom for the summer, one last summer with your mom. Then, in the fall when your classes start, you move in with me." Christian nodded. "And I get to help out starting now," Christian said. Wade nodded in agreement, then leaned in to kiss Christian. The kiss lingered and stretched between them for a long moment and Christian pressed himself against Wade hard. "I know what we can do to solidify the deal," Christian said with an impish grin. "What?" Wade asked. "You can make love to me," Christian said and felt the surge of Wade's cock against him. "Come on, Chris," Wade said, pulling back a little. Christian stripped off his shirt and started unbuckling his pants. "I'm serious, Wade, I want you inside of me," Christian told him and Wade pulled all the way back, trembling slightly. "We don't even know how," Wade reminded him. "I've been watching lots of videos," Christian told him, kicking off his pants and underwear until he stood naked in front of Wade, long, lean and lithe, taking the very breath from Wade's lungs. He ventured excitedly over to his dresser, where he dug out a bottle of lube. "I haven't watched 'em," Wade pointed out. Christian walked back over to Wade. "It's not that hard," Christian said. "Your dick. My ass. Lube." Wade laughed a little, nervously, watching as Christian stood in front of him, the bottle of lube in one hand and a heated look in his eyes. He swallowed hard and tried for lightness. "I'll suck you," Wade said inadequately. Christian nodded. "We can do that, too," he said, running his hands along the waistband of Wade's boxers. "I'm not-" Wade began. "Do you want me to beg you?" Christian asked and slid to his knees. He pressed his face to Wade's crotch, and opened his mouth over the pulsing flesh, heating it up through the fabric. His blue eyes locked with Wade's. "Please," Christian said. Wade slid down to the carpeted floor, shaking and compliant, pushing his boxers down his legs, over his knees and off. His dick bounced up against his navel, long, thick and already leaking. Christian crawled onto him, straddling his hips, pressing himself against Wade, skin to skin. Their mouths locked, tongues playing roughly and Christian's hand somehow found Wade's dick and covered it with the cold lube, but as his dick played with the entrance to Christian's ass, Wade heated up fast. He didn't breath as Christian slid down onto him, so slowly, the tight ring of his anus gripping Wade's dick so hard that Wade thought he would die from pleasure right there on the floor. "Push it in," Christian urged and his voice was strained. Wade pushed, slowing, then speeding up when Christian groaned, then dug his fingers into Wade's skin. He was in, all the way in, pulsing against flesh so tight that he was scared to move. "Fuck, Chris," Wade breathed. "You're so damn tight." "Does it feel good?" Chris asked. Wade nodded, then moved a little, tiny inching motions up and down "I love you," Wade told him. "God, I love you, too." "Can I - " Wade asked and broke off when Christian began to move on him, slowly up and down and little circular motions. He groaned aloud. "Hell yeah, Wade, if you don't I'm gonna fucking kill you," Christian said, half- moaning and half-whispering. That was all the answer that Wade needed. He began to pump into Christian, slowly at first, then faster and faster, until his thighs hurt from the pounding and Christian had subsided into hoarse groans. "I'm gonna cum," Christian said and Wade felt relief course through his veins, he allowed himself to pump freely, stopped the straining to hold himself back. "Me too," he managed between breaths and when Christian's cum slapped him across his pecs and stomach, he felt himself gush into Christian, clutching him tightly and their moans intertwining. Christian sat on him afterwards, breathing hard, his head pressed against Wade's chest with Wade running his hands gently over Christian's shoulders, back, neck and hair. Wade rained kisses on him gently. "See, that wasn't so bad, was it?" Christian said after awhile and Wade laughed. Then, the sound of his cell phone ringing drifted lightly up the stairs. He tensed, then jumped up. "Fuck, what time is it?" Wade asked, panic kicking in. He glanced at the alarm clock on Christian's nightstand, then galloped out of the room and down the stairs with Christian at his heels. He found his jeans on the trail leading up the stairs and dug out his cell phone. He quickly answered it. "Hello," he said. Christian sat on a stair. "Jon, I'm so sorry, man," Wade said. "Are you okay? Where are you? What the fuck, Jon, I've told you a million fucking times not to do that. Okay, okay. Calm down. Look, are there any street signs on the corners? Okay. Yeah. I know where you are. There's a bus stop on that street with a bench. Go sit on that bench and wait for me. I'll be there in like ten minutes." "Fifteen minutes," Christian said. "And tell him I'm the one whose picking him up." Wade looked at Christian silently for a moment, Christian was naked and sweaty and the look in his eyes said it all. He sighed. "Fifteen minutes, Christian will be there in fifteen minutes, okay, Jon?" Wade corrected himself. "Remember, Christian's got a blue car. Yeah. Just sit there. And don't fucking go anywhere, do you hear me? I know, I know. Yeah. Yes, Jon, I know. Don't. Come on with the crying and shit, we gotta do it this way. You can't be the old you overnight, Jon, you know that. So, you tried and it didn't work. Just fucking wait there. Okay? Okay. Bye." Christian stood up and headed for the bathroom, with Wade at his heels. "Don't even start worrying," Christian said. "I'll pick him up and bring him back here. He's fine." "When I wasn't there he thought he could make it home by himself. He made it about eight blocks and then he totally blacked out and didn't know where he was," Wade said. "These things are going to happen," Christian said, starting the tub and pouring a generous amount of bubble bath in. "What are you doing?" Wade asked. "You are going to soak in this tub until I come back," Christian told him. "When I get back here, you will be doing one of two things." "Yeah?" Wade asked, smiling slightly. "You will still be in this tub or you will be wrapped up in my robe somewhere asleep. You got me?" Wade nodded. "When I come back, I'll fix dinner," Christian told him. "You, Jon and I will sit here and eat a civilized, balanced meal, because the burgers and fries are not gonna cut it. I was just reading that nutrition plays a huge role when people are recovering from accidents and diseases and stuff." Wade smiled, nodding. "I get to help from now on," Christian reminded him and Wade pulled him close, smiling widely. "Thank you," he told Christian and kissed him. *** Jon was sitting sullenly on the bus stop bench when Christian pulled up in his car. He looked at Christian blankly for a moment, then stood up. He got in the passenger's seat and buckled up. "You alright?" Christian asked and Jon nodded unhappily. "Then, why are you pouting?" "Get used to it," he said. "I'm the King of Pouting." Christian laughed. "Come on, Jon, tell me what's wrong," Christian urged playfully. "I wanted to do it," Jon said roughly. "To prove to Wade and to me that I can do stuff by myself. Fuck." "What happened?" "I was fine, I was walking, I knew where I was going," Jon said quickly. "Then, I just stopped knowing. I was just...lost. Fuck." "You did fine," Christian told him and Jon looked at him. "You did. You tried and you got pretty far. Four more blocks and you would've made it home. Keep trying and you won't get lost anymore." "You for real?" Jon asked. "Wade will kill me." "He barks a lot but never bites," Christian told him. "I'll take care of him. As long as you've got your cell phone, you're fine. You've got my number in there and Wade's cell and Kiesha's number. Call one of us and we'll find you. As long as you've got your pepper spray and you're fists, you'll be fine." Jon grinned. *** When Christian pulled up in front of his house, Kiesha and Reggie were in the driveway, getting out of his jeep. He honked his horn at them as he parked. They made their way over to the car to watch as he and Jon got out. "What's going on?" Reggie asked with a grin, heading straight for Jon who he had seen exactly one time since he'd gotten out of the hospital. He picked Jon up the way he used to when they were teammates and swung him around like a rag doll. Jon was laughing. "Nothing, just picking Jon up from work," Christian said and hooked arms with Kiesha. "What are you guys doing here?" "I couldn't leave you to sulk the night away," she said and then asked lowly. "Is everything okay?" "Perfect," Christian told her. "You can hardly tell anything's wrong with him," Kiesha said quietly. Christian nodded. "They patched him up real good," he agreed, watching as Jon and Reggie started an impromptu wrestling match on the front lawn. "I'm gonna fix dinner, you guys want to stay and eat?" "I'll help you," Kiesha said as they made their way up to the front door. "Kick his ass, Jon." Wade was lounging on the living room couch half-asleep, in Christian's robe, looking like something out of a glossy men's magazine. Christian grinned and Kiesha made her way over to Wade, curling up with him. "I thought you were helping me cook?" Christian asked her and she shook her head. "He's so warm," she protested, putting her head on Wade's shoulder when he curled an arm around her and winked at Christian. "Fine," Christian said, making his way to the kitchen and back to the chicken breasts. He lined up the peppers. Green, red and yellow. French bread. He listened to the sounds of Wade and Kiesha talking, real low, laughing lightly. Reggie and Jon's laughter and screams were loud enough to make it all a perfect melody. Christian began to hum lightly as he cooked. The End. ********************************************************************** And so, it ends. *sniff, sniff* Thanks for reading my story and making a Nifty newbie feel so loved!!!
