Comments on the story are appreciated and may be addressed to the author at carl5de@netscape.net. This story contains descriptions of sexual contact between a young adult male and young male teenagers. Nevertheless, "Out of the Rubble" is neither a strictly "suck and fuck" exercise nor is it a story that focuses on the "love of adults for the young"...often without sex or with the mere suggestion of sex. If you are looking for these types of erotic fiction, there are fine examples of each on Nifty. Something slightly different is required here. However based on real events and places, "Out of the Rubble" is strictly fictional. Any resemblance to actual events, or locales, or persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental. Further, this is homoerotic fiction designed for the personal enjoyment of legal, hopefully mature, adults. If you are not of legal age to read such material, if those in power and/or those whom you trust treat it as illegal, or if it would create unresolvable moral dilemmas in your life, please leave. Finally, remember that maturity generally demands that anything other than safe sex is sheer insanity! PART 16 (Revisiting the End of Part 15) Later on the return trip, Kurt (who was sitting next to Andreas) leaned over and said, "That was a great night...brother." Sporting a wide grin, Andreas nodded vigorously, saying, "Yeah, the very best!" "Got an idea for you," Kurt continued. "When we get back, how about throwing a dance...for everyone?" Scarcely able to maintain his composure, Andreas looked at him for a moment before quietly saying, "Yeah, brother. Let's do it!" (Continuing Our Story : A Night to Remember) The ski company returned safely to Tieferwald only to find itself immersed in a flurry of activity. Major snow-clearing was in progress throughout the area, Frau Luisa had insisted that all clothing and equipment be cleaned and put where it belonged...IN DIESEM AUGENBLICK! [RIGHT NOW!], and it was announced that schools throughout the city would reopen on the next Monday. Classes would be held morning and afternoon for three weeks to make up for time lost. Sam just grinned and breathed a sigh of relief. It was at school that Kurt caught up with Andreas who was leafing through the pages of a copy of LIFE magazine (given him by Sgt. Cole) while finishing his meager lunch. "Hey, brother, what's happening?" the GCJ (Great Circle-Jerk) leader began. "Nothin' much, Kurt," Andreas answered with a grin. Andreas still couldn't quite believe his ears. Kurt might as well have been speaking to Ulrich or Franz. It wasn't that the House jocks had really been unpleasant to him in the past. It was just that they usually acted as if he didn't exist - other than on the football field, of course. Now...since the ski trip... He was a little less surprised when Franz walked up and was equally affable, but when Heidi and one of her girlfriends came over... Holy shit! Had he suddenly lost the "Gay Outcast" sign that was always pinned on his back? He wondered - just for a moment - whether he LIKED wearing that sign...or at least was comfortable with (in the sense of "being used to") it. In the past, people had told him that he was well liked in the House. Maybe, the sign kept him from doing much about it. Man, he was going to have to be a little more open with these guys! When, after chatting for a few minutes, the others went on to other things, Kurt continued: "Still interested in that dance?" "I couldn't be more interested, Kurt! Since we've both have class in a few minutes, why not stop by Sam's and my room after supper and we can talk?" When Kurt nodded, punched him on the shoulder, and left for class, Andreas was still in shock. Following supper cleanup, Andreas was stretched out on Sam's and his big bed, reading an article for his history class. Came a knock on the door, he yelled "Hinein!" [In!"] and looked up to see a smiling Kurt. The lanky jock looked curiously around the room for a moment before jumping up on the bed next to Andreas. "Good bed," he muttered. 'God, couldn't he have sat in Sam's chair?' thought Andreas. 'Oh, well...' "What do we need to make this dance really work, Kurt?" Andreas began. "Dunno," Kurt responded. "As long as no one is embarrassed and everybody has a good time..." he continued. "What do you think, Andy?" 'Andy?' Andreas thought before answering. 'Yeah...' He then went on to lay out a few ideas that he'd been considering. In the first place, he suggested, he agreed that there was no time like the present to hold such a dance. Ehrhardt's words and his new baby, the success of the ski trip, and the fantastic time everyone had had at the "Great Circle-Jerk" gave them an opportunity that they'd wait a long time to come around again. Second, Kurt and he really needed to work with their friends. "His guys," for instance, really needed to know that no girl could be left on the sidelines without some conversation and, hopefully, the offer of a dance. And they damned well needed to cool their bitterness! On the other hand, if two of the gay kids ever had the balls to dance with each other, it was NOT the time for a sneer or a muttered insult from...someone else. (Andreas almost said, "a straight," but quickly decided that this was not the time for those words.) Ehrhardt had been right. The game was to love and support - not just to tolerate - one's brother...wherever he was...right now. Finally, maybe they needed to simply "invite" people rather than emphasize "dates." No need for the added pressure on anyone... "Oh, yeah," he added, "...the drapes should be drawn so that no outsider could see what was going on, get the wrong idea, and begin spreading rumors...and no pink flowers." Kurt grinned widely - and gave him the finger! "Whadda you think, Kurt?" "I think that you could be a good friend, Andy. Just like on the football field...one team!" (Andreas thought they Kurt might have a "bit" more difficulty connecting with a little guy who was way-gay, decidedly effeminate and - even if in envy - thought football players were jerks, but let it go.) "I agree with everything you said. I've already been talking with some of the guys," he added, "and they've got the same feelings we do. Oh, yeah, I spoke with Heidi and she would be more than willing to help with invitations to the 'right girls,' that is, the ones who are at least open minded. Besides, a lot of them think you're 'cute'!" he added with smirk. Andreas groaned and, before he could lock his jaws, instinctively growled, "Oh, no, not 'that,' Kurt-boy! That's NOT what I go to bed dreaming about!" "Don't matter," Kurt replied. We can't all be perfect!" With that, Kurt leapt off the bed, yelled "Later," and ambled off into the House. Within two weeks - including, of course, several "staff" conversations daily - the dance was planned and ready to go. Sam, Ehrhardt and Gretchen, and Frau Goettingen would chaperone. All 13 boys in the house planned to attend - plus Georg who was invited only after Andreas's repeated pleas to Sam. With Heidi's help, a total of 10 girls, three requested by House boys, had been invited - and enthusiastically accepted. Given the cold and the condition of the roads, an Army half-track would pick up and return the girls and Frau Goettingen.) Other than for some spectacular lighting and a complete cleaning and polishing of furniture and woodwork, no special decorations were planned. (With support from the Army Base, Konrad proved to be a truly creative electrician - even though his previous experience lay chiefly in devising booby traps and land mines for the defense of Breslau!) Other than for some chairs and a few small tables, the two large downstairs rooms were cleared - and the two bathrooms on the first floor cleaned. (The upstairs were "Streng Verboten!" ["strictly forbidden" - very much "out of bounds!"]) Rather than divide the boys - especially when so much wasn't known - Kurt and Andreas jointly chaired a house meeting in which all that was necessary to make the dance work was frankly discussed. (Individual discussions had been going on for the better part of three weeks!) Frau Luisa had worked her magic in the kitchen. All was ready. On Saturday afternoon before the evening dance, all was necessarily in chaos. Clearly on his best behavior, Georg arrived from his village, a much happier and settled boy than when he had left under something of a cloud. The bathrooms and bedrooms on the second floor were bee hives of frantic (and, occasionally, hysterical) activity. Finally, insofar as the clothing budget allowed, all of the young men were spiffed and polished. At the last moment, the small local band that several of the boys had especially enjoyed at the "Teen Club" arrived and set up. As Frau Goettingen and the young ladies arrived, a light snow falling, they were ushered into a lovely scene. The heavy downstairs woodwork of the beautiful old Buerger's home gleamed in candlelight; the band was softly playing; and friendly, excited young men made sure that no girl was left standing alone. After coats were doffed in Sam's small first-floor office - hardly more than a large closet - and the girls had opportunity to powder their noses, Kurt and Heidi, quickly followed by Ulrich and Frieda (a beautiful young blonde), and Horst and Lotte (a lovely refugee girl from the Sudetenland), entered the dance floor. (There's a nice story here, a full account of which, unfortunately, lies beyond the bounds of this writing. Suffice it to say that at first Horst had vowed that there was no way under God's blue sky that he would ever dance with a GIRL. (Ugh!) Now, with a lot of encouragement - and a few dance lessons from Gretchen - he was among the first on the floor...licking his lips nervously, the Adam's apple in his long thin neck bobbing, his wild red hair having defeated the best efforts of comb and brush...but doing damned well! As he danced past other couples on the floor, by the way, almost all of the males enthusiastically signed their high approval.) Within minutes, as a soft light show began simultaneously in both rooms, all ten girls were happily dancing. After the first dance, which was essentially "boys' choice," the music tempo picked up and cutting-in was permitted. A girl who simply wanted to sit for a few minutes, by the way, usually had several young males around her, hanging on her every word. (Both Gretchen and Heidi reported that the girls were having the time of their lives!) A teen hired by Frau Luisa circulated through the two main rooms, offering punch and tiny cookies to those taking a break from the dancing. The first potential trouble spot came slightly more than halfway through the dance. Deciding that if he didn't ask now, he never would, Andreas - as he told it later, seconds away from being violently sick to his stomach - walked over to where Sam and Frau Goettingen were sitting and asked Sam if he might have the dance that was just beginning. Having been privy to all of the planning for the dance, including having attended the special house meeting, Sam surely must have guessed what was coming. To his credit, he smiled, stood up, put his arm around Andreas's waist, and joined him on the dance floor. About ready to lose it, the boy melted into his Great Love and entered upon one of the most memorable few minutes of his entire life. (No, he didn't hook his fingers under Sam's buttocks, but at the close of the dance, he did raise his face to receive Sam's kiss and a mouthed "I love you.") When the music finally faded and the ecstatic young couple, tears in their eyes, walked back through the crowd, they were stunned to hear the kids' loud applause and cheers. As Sam returned to sit beside Frau Goettingen, her small aged hand resting lightly on his, Andreas got through the next few minutes bravely. For all of that, when Kurt came over and locked a hefty arm around his neck, he totally lost it. Kurt and Heidi had to lead him into the office for a few minutes - but the ice had been broken. More - far more - was to come on that fateful, beautiful night in the history of The House. (The German teens - boys and girls - who live at DAS HAUS today still talk about that evening in 1947...and about Andreas and Sam.) The next shock came when Jaeger walked over to Horst and asked him if he liked to jitterbug. Speechless, the sweating redheaded teen reached up, took Jaeger's hand and, after a few steps out onto the dance floor, broke into what was probably the wildest dancing of the evening. (A little unorthodox even as jitterbug steps go, but VERY vigorous!) The band went into high gear - and the kids didn't miss a beat! The crowd from both rooms circled 'round them, rhythmically clapping and shouting. Finally, as Jaeger drew Horst through his legs and Horst responded by swinging his dance partner in a dizzying circle, the music finally came to a crashing end. Needless to say, both Horst and Jaeger were mobbed and pummeled by every youngster in the room! All four chaperones were in hysterics! (Later, in their room, Jaeger asked Horst where HE had learned to dance "like that." "Kurt taught me," Horst admitted, a little nervously. Trying for some reason to change the subject, Horst asked, "Where in hell did YOU learn to jitterbug? You're fantastic!" Jaeger simply smirked and said provocatively, "Well, Horst, old room mate, there's a LOT you don't know about me. I guess you're just going to have to check it out.") Accompanied by a second light show, even more spectacular than the first, the dance continued, albeit with an even warmer and more effervescent quality that it was previously the case. Andreas, for example, thoroughly enjoyed dancing with Heidi who turned him all shades of red with her compliments on the dance and on his "courage." "I think, sir, that I liked the love that I felt even more," she smiled as she lightly kissed his cheek. Andreas was almost ready to turn heterosexual. Well...almost! Actually, all of the participants had a great evening. Though he couldn't dance a step to save himself, for instance, Georg was absolutely smitten with Siegfrieda and, for some reason known only to the God Eros, she with him. Dieter met Marlene for the very first time, fell hopelessly in love, and made plans to attend the next dance at the Teen Club. Franz, who had attended a few dances and other teen activities with Genevieve - and had asked that she be included on the participant list - was fully convinced that his life now belonged solely to her. One final shock remained: On the penultimate dance, Heinrich walked up to Andreas and asked if they might dance. Given the room in which he was housed (i.e., with the most strident, hitherto sexist, jocks) and knowing how much he had put into building a straight "front," Andreas took the hunky, dark-blond-haired teen into his arms and determined to make it a dance he would remember. Guys who hadn't been completely surprised by the previous parings, dropped their jaws when they saw these two dancing check-to-cheek. When the dance was over, Heinrich was trembling, seemingly overcome by the feelings that he was experiencing - the difference, for example, between taking part in a wild orgy and being held by a man whom, despite himself, he loved. Crumpling into a chair, barely conscious of his surroundings, he was one of only a handful of boys who did not enter into the last (women's choice) dance. (Gretchen, of course, chose her beloved Ehrhardt; Frau Goettingen had misty eyes as she was whirled around the room in Sam's arms. Besieged by four girls, Andreas finally allowed himself to be chosen by Adolpha, a stunning, raven-haired beauty from Tallinn in Estland [Estonia - one of three small Baltic states used as pawns by both Hitler and Stalin] whom he had met at the Camp.) As is often the case, the "after-events" were at least equal in interest to those of the original. Preparing to go upstairs, for instance, Andreas rounded a blind corner and crashed head-on into Kurt. A little high on the heady brew of TRIUMPH, the lanky jock commented provocatively that he was "a little surprised" that Andy hadn't asked one of the straight guys to dance...maybe him. "No," said Andreas, "embarrassing others is simply not what I'm after. I just want the crap to end, to be treated like a brother and, if I earn it, to be accepted as a friend." Kurt drew him into a rough, tight bear hug, repeatedly pounded both of his fists down on Andreas's traps, and hissed, "We did it, man; we did it!" Upstairs, for some hours after the girls departed, scantily clad boys, several in the nude, flowed from one room to another. At one point, Horst and Jaeger's tiny room would be packed; at another, Horst and Jaeger were found stretched out on a bed in one of the large rooms. There they joined the others in excitedly telling and retelling (and retelling again!) what happened, how they felt, and how they were positive about what their dance partners had felt. It was quite an experience for boys of both sexual orientations to hear the uniquely uncensored - even if highly boastful - accounts of the other. Roars of laughter and loud catcalls greeted each tale. The feeling of being "one great family" permeated The House. Downstairs, Sam, Ehrhardt, Gretchen, and Frau Luisa sat over drinks, revisiting their own impressions and sharing many a laugh and a soft smile. The feedback from the girls had been uniformly excellent. All demanded another dance. The chaperones didn't go upstairs. Wisely, they knew that country belonged to Sargent Ehrhard's Army, at least for awhile. Sam was pouring "one more" drink for everyone, when he looked up to see a pale, barely contained Georg at the archway to the living room. Suggesting that they might best speak privately in his office, Sam listened to the young man whom he had earlier exiled to a village some miles from the city. Tearfully, Georg begged Sam to allow him to live in The House, repeatedly apologizing for "getting out of control" and promising the Director that he would never embarrass him again. Sam finally sat back, assuring the youngster that he hadn't done anything all THAT bad, apologizing for allowing his own emotions to get a "little out of control," and sending him flying back upstairs as the newest member of The House. Eventually, the "adults" trundled unsteadily off to bed - Frau Luisa with Gretchen, Ehrhardt on a cot in Sam's office. After yelling down the hall, "Go to sleep, animals!", Sam entered his bedroom and stripped down. Within minutes, he was followed by Andreas who wandered in from the other second floor bedrooms, naked and still on high. Looking at his lover whose entire body beamed with happiness, Sam simply held out his arms and welcomed him home. Softly, he rubbed the boy's broad back, sensually cupped his buttocks, leaned back, and kissed him deeply. Molding himself to Sam's chest, his young "Official Assistant" repeatedly sobbed, "It finally happened, Sam; it finally happened! Oh, God, thanks for helping make it happen!" For the next couple of hours - almost to the time that light returned to Tieferwald am Main - they danced naked in each other's arms and made love repeatedly in bed and out. Andreas would never forget the feeling of Sam's fingers trailing over his abs and drum-tight lower stomach as they played with his pelvic girdle. Nor would the memory fade of the way in which he grabbed him, threw him to the floor, and hungrily thrust his tongue deep into his anal canal. How could he ever forget that moment when Sam gently drew his long, hairless scrotum through his fingers and kissed the balls that had been forced to its depths? And how about the first time - or was it the second or third time - that Sam's big cock demanded entrance to his portal? Would Sam ever forget the moment when his Andreas balanced himself on heavy shoulders, muscular thighs held wide, and allowed his lover's cock to enter him from straight above? Or the moment when his lover, drenched in sweat and cum, grabbed him tightly by the shoulders, looked into his eyes, and gasped, "Sam, oh Sam, I love you more than life!" No, neither would forget. Looking over at his thoroughly exhausted lover, lightly stroking his muscular chest, Andreas murmured that their naked dancing was the very best thing that had happened on that memorable night - maybe even better than the sex. He wondered if he ought to talk with the other gay boys and see if they would be interested in a "special" invitational dance...strictly in the nude. On his own slide into the arms of Morpheus, he barely caught Sam's mumbled response, "Careful, beast, you're on real thin ice..." (To Be Continued)
