Prince's Private Lessons 5 cajuncock Now that the household was complete they settled into a familar routine. Brother Ernst taught Prince Erick all of the Latin and rituals of the church that he would need to be a good abbot. But he also taught him more. It seems that the abbey held vast land holdings. Tenant farmers tilled the soil and paid the abbey an annul rent fee. Under a series of weak abbots many of these tenants had failed to pay the fees and become wealthy. Some of the previous abbots had only been interested in promoting and enriching their own families. Powerful local lords constantly harassed the abbey seeking to steal portions of the rich farmlands for themselves. All of this was brought to the attention of the empress, a devout lady. She persuaded the emperior to take the abbey under his protection. The status of the abbey had been raised to that of an imperial abbey and given to Erick's family to protect. Brother Ernst told the prince of the poor condition of the abbey buildings. The abbey church was in sore need of repairs. In the rainy season the monks had to use buckets to catch the rain water from the leaks in the roof. The monks' cells were even in worse condition. Doors were missing, the latrine had not been repaired in years, mice ran rampant and the barns were practically falling down around the animals. Erick was shocked at the news. His new domain was in great need of repairs and needed to be brought in order from near ruin. He summoned Klaus and his chief steward to hear from Brother Ernst himself the tale of the abbey. Erick was determined to correct the problem. He sent an urgent message to his father, Duke Ludwig, describing what he had learned. He asked for a team of trusted, honest men to be sent at once to the abbey to oversee the abbey and report back to him. Meanwhile he dispatched Klaus and his steward to the abbey with full authority to make any changes needed. Klaus asked that Karl accompany them for protection against any bandits they might encounter. Word arrived from his father the next day that he had agreed to send his own secretary and a troop of workmen to the abbey in two days time. The night before his departure was sad for Klaus. He would be leaving his prince, his beloved for perhaps weeks. They spent the evening at a private supper in the prince's quarters, attended only by Horst and Karl. Erick insisted that after the meal Horst and Karl would spend some time alone, preparing for the journey. He knew that Horst would miss his strong soldier. Left alone Erick and Klaus made passionate love for many hours. Erick's passion and need was such that he repeated urged Klaus to enter him, to fill him with that great tool between his legs. Klaus was equally aware of both their needs. He mounted Erick as a stallion mounts his mare. He could not give his love enough of his seeds to show how much their separation would mean to him. Horst and Karl were not idle. They made sure that all the preperations for the trip were made. Then they fell into Horst's bed. Karl was a vigorous young man. His love making was learned from his youth on the estate. He was not gentle with the prince's valet. But Horst enjoyed every minute of it. He desired the rough sex of the farm boy/soldier. Karl filled the valet four times during the night. By the first light when they woke, the poor valet was sore but satisfied. After a meal to break the fast, the household was surprised by the sudden arrival of Prince Wilhelm with a troop of men. His father had decided that Wilhelm should personally go to the abbey as the imperial representative. He would judge any issues that came up and punish any wrong doers. His troop of men included the workmen to make repairs but also a newly appointed steward who would be in charge of the abbey until Erick's arrival. Joining Klaus, Erick's own steward and Karl the now well armed troop set off for the abbey. They would arrive later in the day, near evening, to begin the task of putting the affairs of the abbey in order. Erick greatly missed his companion's warmth in his bed that night. They had been intimate for many months now. He missed the touch of klaus' arms around his body when he awoke. He missed most of all Klaus' thick weapon buried in his body when he woke in the mornings. But he knew that duty required this separation. As the days passed Erick received messages from both Klaus and Wilhelm. Klaus also managed to send coded notes of affection to his prince-lover. Erick sent instrctions bac under his won seal as abbot and prince. The reports that Brother Ernst had given him were confirmed and the extent of the problems became obvious to Wilhelm and Klaus. The neighboring lords were used to weak abbots whom they could control. Wilhelm immediately visited each one with a troop of his own guards and the imperial mandate. If the lords did not give the abbey what was its due then he was authorized to seize it. Few lords dare to go against an imperial mandate, lest they lose their lands and titles. Soon the abbey's treasury was filling with silver and gold payments. Meanwhile Klaus visited the tenants to collect past due rents. He saw that some of them had built grand houses using the monies that should've gone to the abbey. They did not have permission for such buildings. Klaus ordered them pulled down. Word soon spread and the overdue rents began arriving at the abbey. With the new wealth repairs were begun on the abbey's buildings. Workmen were hired to enlarge the force brought to the abbey. Local villagers and merchants were again happy to see the once improverished abbey restored. It would bring prosperity to the village merchants. The monks were only too glad to help. They were able to give evidence of the past stealing of the former abbots. Wilhelm, using this information, wrote to both his father and the empress telling them of the miserable conditions and of many illegal transfers of abbey lands. He asked for a further mandate to recover this lost property. Wilhelm found himself attracted to a few of the younger novices at the abbey. They were not all farm boys but some were very intelligent. He enlisted them in setting up a new administration to govern the abbey. He also found that their talents went beyond prayer and contemplation. Several of them visited his bed at night to display hidden talents that monks should not have. Being a lay man with needs of the body he quickly gave in to his base needs and enjoyed learning the joys that his body could experience. He appointed one monk as his privare secretary to handle all documents and another as his chaplain to tend to his spiritual needs. His spiritual needs occurred mostly at night. Klaus did not fail to notice the young prince's attractions. He encouraged Wilhelm to further extend his learning from these young monks. He himself refrained from such things preferring to hold himself for his lover. Two months passed and the affairs of the abbey were rapidly being put in order. Klaus conferred with Wilhem and it was decided that he could now return to Erick's household. He departed the next morning in the company of Karl and Erick's own steward. All three were eager to return to their all male household and to their partners. A messenger had been sent ahead to inform both Erick and the Duke of the progress and of their return. News of the return of his beloved thrilled Erick. He ordered preparations made for a feast that evening to welcome the men back. Horst prepared his best cloths for Erick. He'd also been instructed to make sure a bath was ready for Klaus when he arrived. Erick would personally take care of the bath for Klaus. He wanted to share that moment with his lover. Horst was also making his own plans for Karl. He truely missed the soldier's large tool. He would offer him every pleasure that his body could. Both Erick and Horst intended to get little sleep that first night. Their bodies tingled with anticipation of the pleasure that would be theirs.
