Date: Sat, 4 Jan 2014 18:39:19 -0800 (PST) From: Henry Brooks Subject: David and Jonathan II, Chapter 10 David and Jonathan II Chapter 10 Out At Last When he and Frank entered their house, Ray was shaking like a leaf. Frank was strangely serene. He was resigned to the fact that Donna would not take it well, but he had to make his confession after all these years. He couldn't hold it in any longer. "We're home." Ray yelled. "I'm in the den," Donna called back. The men dropped their bags at the foot of the stairs, and went into the den. They expected to see Donna watching television, but the set was turned off. Donna was sitting in her lounge chair, facing the TV set, and staring into space. Her hands were folded in her lap. She didn't look up at them, when they came into the room. Frank spoke first. He apologized for snapping at her and being such an ass, but he promised her that he had calmed down. Ray said, "Yes, Mama, Dad's much better now." The men stared at Donna, but she didn't speak or react. "Please, say something," Frank begged. Finally, Donna turned her face, and looked at her two men. "No, Frank," she said. "You talk first. What have you got to tell me?" Frank got down on his knees in front of Donna. He took her hands from her lap and held them in his. He wanted to look away, but he forced himself to stare into her eyes. "I'm gay," he said. "I've been gay all my life. I successfully suppressed it all my life, but recently the dam burst. I can't hide it any longer, Donna. I love you. I swear I do, but I can't deny my true nature anymore." Donna didn't say anything for a long while. The room was so silent it was eerie. Finally she gazed at Frank and then at Ray. She turned to each one, back and forth. Finally, she asked Ray, "How long have you known?" "I didn't," Ray answered. "I found out when, as Dad put it, his dam burst." He didn't dare tell his mother that he really found out when his father seduced him. Donna looked back at Frank. "I figured it out when you ran up to Boston, Frank. I can't accept living as your wife, while you go philandering. I've been thinking long and hard all the while you've been away. This is my home. I'm not going anywhere, but I would appreciate if you get your stuff out as soon as possible, and find a place of your own. Please go to a hotel tonight." "I'll stay home for the weekend as planned," Ray said. "I want to make sure that you're all right." "Let me assure you that I'm fine. I knew what was going to happen tonight, and I've already spoken to a lawyer." Frank was quietly sobbing. "You can have anything you want. Hell, you can have everything I own." Donna didn't say a word. She stood up and headed for the stairs. "I think I'll turn in now. Frank, please don't stay here tonight." "I'll meet you in your office tomorrow at noon," Ray said as soon as Donna was out of ear shot. "I told Mark to meet us there, and we'll all go out to lunch." "Good. I'll stay at `our' motel tonight. How will you get to the factory?" "I'll either take a cab, or if Mom lets me, I'll borrow her car." Frank kissed Ray on his cheek, and said, "I'll see you tomorrow son. I love you." The next morning, Ray got up early, showered and dressed. He was surprised to find Donna making breakfast in the kitchen. She was humming, and Ray was shocked. She greeted him with a kiss and a cheery, "Good morning." "Is this a cover, or are you really doing OK?" Ray asked. "I assure you, darling, I'm fine. Your father and I haven't had much of a marriage for a long time. I suspected something was wrong for the past two or three years, but I didn't figure it out until he talked about going on a trip with four gay men, and wanting to spend time in Boston in a house with five gay men. I've accepted it, and I'm going to be just fine. I gather your father will be fine also." "Wow, Mom. I thought I'd be driving you to the loonie bin this morning. You sure are surprising me. Listen. I'm meeting Dad for lunch at the factory today. I need to make sure he's OK also. Can I borrow your car, or should I take a cab?" "Take the car, Ray. I'm not quite ready to go out and socialize." "I'd like to go back to Boston tomorrow so I don't miss any classes on Monday. Will you drive me to the train station in the morning?" "Of course. After church." Frank got to his father's office at about 11:30. Frank was there already, seated at his desk. He was going through the piles of paper work that had amassed while he was in Boston. Frank looked up and smiled at Ray. "I figured, I'd be way behind in my work, so I'm getting things organized for my secretary and me for Monday morning. How's your mother." "It's amazing, Dad. She's not only fine, if she's not putting on an act, but she seems very relieved. She says you haven't been much of a husband of late." "Ouch, that hurt. At the same time it eases some of my guilt." "How are you doing with all that work? Will you be ready to go when Mark gets here?" "Yeah, I will. I didn't have any appetite this morning, and skipped breakfast. Suddenly I'm hungry and raring to go." Ray laughed. "Mark's always raring to go. I'll have to restrain both of you." Just then there was a knock on the door. Ray ran to open it. Mark was standing there with a big grin on his face. They kissed each other on their lips, with closed mouths. Frank and Mark were both surprised when they saw one another. Ray had said they resembled each other. The truth was they could have passed as brothers. "I know I'm early," Mark apologized, "but the factory seems to be buzzing with people, who were kind enough to point my way." "Yes, we operate six days a week, but my office staff only works five days," Frank explained. He got up from behind his desk, and went over to Mark to shake his hand. There were two chairs facing his desk. He bade Ray and Mark to sit down in them. "It's too early for lunch," Frank said. Let's chat for a while. Why don't you fill Mark in on what's going on, Ray." "First off," Ray said, "my dad knows all about the two of us, Mark, so you can relax and not be afraid of slipping up. Secondly, my dad is a free man, single and available." He went on to describe how Frank came out to Donna last night, and how she seemed to know that it was coming. All Mark could say was, "I'm sorry," knowing full well that Frank wasn't sorry in the least. He was the opposite of sorry. When Ray said that his father had stayed in a motel last night, Mark said, "I have a spare bedroom, Frank. Why don't you stay with me until you find a place of your own? I live right near you, so it will be an easy commute to the factory." "I don't want to inconvenience anyone," Frank said. Mark laughed. "Have you looked in the mirror lately? You would never be an inconvenience." "Thanks Mark. I'd be an ingrate not to accept your generous invitation. If things don't work out, I can always leave sooner rather than later." They had a cordial lunch together, and Mark and Ray wisely did not discuss their sex life together in front of Frank. Neither did Frank and Ray discuss their incestuous affair in front of Mike. After lunch, Ray drove home, and Mark and Ray drove in separate cars to the motel, so that Frank could get his stuff and check out." When they entered the room, Frank explained that all he had with him was the stuff he had packed for his Boston trip, which he needed desperately to launder. He would have to make arrangements with Donna to pick up his clothes and other needful things as soon as possible. "Why don't you call Ray, and tell him to take his mother out for dinner tonight. When they are out of the house, we'll go there in two cars to get your stuff. That should avoid some awkwardness." "I like the way you think," Frank said. He called Ray's cell phone and set it up. "We can start loading at 6:30 this evening." "I wonder what we can do until then." Mark said out loud, with a big grin on his face." "Well, it won't take but a minute to put my bag in my car, and since I've missed the one o'clock check out, we might as well use this paid-for room to its full advantage." In a mere few seconds, they were naked and checking each other out. "Ray was right," Mark commented. "You are bigger than he is." "You're not bad yourself, hefty and not cut," Frank remarked. "Except that Ray is cut, I couldn't tell your cocks apart." Before you could say fellatio, Mark was on his hands and knees, devouring Frank's cock. "Wait," Frank pleaded. "Let's take it to the bed, and play a little game of sixty-nine." "Now I like the way you think," Mark cooed. They brought each other off twice, orally. Although they rimmed one another, they couldn't fuck, because they didn't have any lubricant, and they were both exceptionally well endowed. "Not to worry," Mark said, "I've got plenty of KY Jelly at home." "I can't wait," Frank said covering Mark with kisses. They checked out about 5 PM, and had a light dinner at a nearby diner. They drove to Frank's house and loaded both cars in about an hour and a half. Frank was shocked at how little he had. He took everything he wanted and needed, and stuff that was just for his own vanity, and still they had room for more. When they got to Mark's apartment, they debated what to bring in. "I guess just my necessities," Frank said. "You can't leave stuff in your car. It's apt to get stolen." Mark stated. "Let's take it all inside." He smiled, and added, "Who knows how long you'll stay?" They did just that, and fully filled up the guest bedroom, guest bathroom, and guest closet. Notwithstanding all that, Frank spent the night in Mark's bed. They fucked and sucked until they fell into an almost comatose sleep at 4 AM. They slept until late Sunday morning. Before their eyes closed, Frank said, "You're too good to me. I may never want to leave." Mark whispered back, "I may never let you go. You are all the man I ever needed. I've been looking for you all my life. I thought I found the one in Ray, but he's just a kid. You're the man." "Would you mind if Ray joined us in bed occasionally?" Frank asked. "Fuck, yeah!" was all Mark could muster. He was really shocked. Neither Ray nor Frank had as yet revealed that they were making it together. Frank never did leave, except when they moved out to take a larger apartment together. They wanted enough room for visits from Ray, who would hopefully come often, hopefully with a special friend, and spend some time with them. When Donna dropped Ray off at the LIRR station, he immediately called his father. He and Mark had awakened just moments ago. "Where are you?" Ray asked. "In Mark's bed. Thanks for putting us together. I think we have something very solid going here." "Thank God. I don't have to worry about you, at least. Now I won't rest until I know that Mom isn't faking it, and she's really OK. I love you, Dad. I'll call you guys when I get back to Boston. Tell Mark I love him too." "Ray," Frank said in a conspiratorial tone of voice, "Mark and I want you to know you can visit us as often as you like, and our bed is open to all three of us." "That's good to know, Dad. The train is coming. I'll speak to you next from Boston. Ciao." After Ray got comfortably seated on his ride to Penn Station, he suddenly felt very lonely. Everyone he knew was now comfortably coupled, except him. He wasn't afraid of being lonely. After all, he had his gay family, who would always look after him. He was afraid of being alone. He had no idea that his brethren, the matchmakers, had put their collective heads together to find Ray a boyfriend, and they were already brewing a plot in their warlock caldrons. To be continued...
