Jeff answered. When they walked into the store, Jeff said, "Kenny, Drew and Toby, take Spencer to the young men's section and get him a dress jacket, two pair of dress slacks, a couple of dress shirts with a tie and a warm winter jacket." The four guys took off and Jeff turned to Tyler and asked, "Are you ready Ty, because we need to move, if we are going to beat them?" Jeff took him to the blazers and tossed Tyler a blue blazer, "Try this on." It was a perfect fit. Jeff led him to the dress shirts and tossed two to Tyler then handed him two pair of dress slacks said, "Now Tyler, try these on and see how they look." Tyler went to the dressing room and put them on. When he came out, Kenny came up and said, "Jeff, the guys need your help. Hey, Tyler you look great, but you need a tie." "Kenny, help Tyler find a tie and a belt and then find him a good winter jacket that he likes. I noticed there were 75% off the original price." Jeff said as he left. He found the other three guys and Drew said, "Spencer says he doesn't want to get any of these things. He says he doesn't have any money and he doesn't want Tyler to yell at him." Jeff held Spencer's face so he had to look at him, "Spencer, read my lips. You are going to get these things, and if Tyler yells at you, Drew, Toby, Kenny and I will hang Tyler from the highest window by his feet without any clothes. Now, you still need a couple more things. Drew and Toby help him find a couple of sweaters, a tie and a belt to go with these clothes." They left and came back with the items and said, "Now what boss?" "Go find a nice winter coat that Spencer likes and meet us at the checkout area in ten minutes. Jeff found Kenny and Tyler who had reluctantly chosen a coat he liked. Jeff led Tyler to the sweater area and said, "Now, find two sweaters you like. They are having a terrific sale." Tyler found two sweaters and said, "These are really nice." Jeff looked at the care instructions to make sure they were not clean only and when they weren't, he threw them into the cart and said, "Let's go." They met the other three at the check out area and went to a vacant checkout lane. The lady asked, "Are these things all going to be on the same account sir?" Jeff answered, "Yes ma'am. We will be paying with this card." The lady started ringing the purchases and when she announced the total, Jeff told me that Tyler looked like he was going to pass out. Jeff handed her the card and she processed it and said, "Mrs. Tillison called and said that you might be coming in. I heard you last Sunday, and started to cry when you sang the Lord's Prayer." The other five guys looked at Jeff as he casually said, "Yes ma'am and I will be singing at the New Year's Eve service tomorrow. I hope to see there, Mrs. Zimmerman." The guys collected the purchases and stuffed them into the trunk of the car and it was absolutely filled. When they got to our house, they started to carry everything in and Jeff directed them. "Some of you have packages that need to go into Dad's closet and the rest of the things need to go into the back bedroom upstairs, for now." The guys did as they were told and when everyone had reassembled, Jeff announced, "Dessert time. Everyone go to the dining room table." He came in carrying a large glass baking pan and asked, "Are you ready for your banana split dessert?" "Where are the ice cream and whipped cream and all the other gooey stuff?" Toby complained. "Well sir, I didn't say banana split sundaes if you recall and what you see is what you get." Jeff answered. Jeff dished the dessert into bowls and everyone ate like they hadn't eaten all day. Toby asked, "Jeff, could you give this recipe to my mother? It is really good and I liked it." Spencer got out of his chair, hugged Jeff and started to cry. Jeff pulled him close, "What's the matter, Tiger?" "I don't know. I just haven't felt this loved since our Mother and Father were taken away." Spencer sobbed. Tyler was sitting there in a similar state, and Kenny went to him and put his arms around him. Jeff interrupted, "Okay Dad, you take these two lovely ladies home, and take Drew, Kenny and Toby with you." Tyler and Spencer hugged everyone as they were getting ready to leave. "Get back here quick so we can make plans for tomorrow." Jeff took Spencer and Tyler to the back bedroom and said, "I hope you guys don't mind sleeping in the same bed tonight, but that's all we have." Spencer said, "We have been sleeping in the same bed ever since I got out of the crib. That's all I can remember." They were coming down the stairs when I was walking in. The phone started to ring as I was hanging up my coat, so I answered it. "This is Doctor Wilson, may I help you? ... "Oh hello Linda" ... Let me get him." I turned to Jeff and handed him the phone. "Hi Mom." ... "Everything is great here. I can hardly wait until you all get here." ... "Okay, see you Friday afternoon, about 3:00." ... "Love you too. Tell Twit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum I have some surprises for them." ... "Bye Mom, say hello to Pops for me. Love you all." Jeff turned to Tyler and Spencer and said, "I'm going to take a shower and go to bed. Is there anything you two you gentlemen need before we turn in?" Tyler looked a little embarrassed and said, "I left our tooth brushes at the hotel. Do you have any we can borrow?" I answered, "Guys, I'll be right back." I went up to our bathroom and pulled two new tooth brushes and a new tube of tooth paste out of the cupboard and took them down to the guys. "Here you go, gentlemen. These are yours to keep." "Thanks, Doctor Wilson." said Spencer. "Okay. See you guys in the morning. Make sure you turn the lights out when you come upstairs. You know where the refrigerator and food are if you want anything. Everything you should need to take a shower or bath is in the closet in the hall beside the bathroom. Goodnight." I said. "We're going to bed too." Tyler announced. I turned the lights off except for one in the kitchen window and made sure all the doors were locked. I had just got into the bedroom as the phone rang again. I picked up the phone by the bed, "This is Doctor Wilson. May I help you?" ... "Oh hello Mrs. Tillison." ... "Jeff is right here. He just walked in." I handed Jeff the phone and swatted his penis. It started swinging like a pendulum. Jeff pressed the speaker function and said, "Hi Grams T." "I hope I didn't wake anyone." she said. "No, as a matter of fact, I just got out of the shower." "Jeff, what do you think about having Tyler and Spencer come to my house to live?" she asked. "That was my first thought, but after tonight, I don't think so. Now that I have had time to think about the problem, I don't think that would he a good idea for several reasons. My conclusions are based on these factors." Jeff answered. "First, the brothers are very proud individuals. I think Tyler especially would look at any such offer as being made out of pity, and I think that is the last thing these two guys need right now. You don't know how resistant they were to getting all those things tonight, and I have no idea what tomorrow night's celebration is going to do to them." "Secondly, I don't think that you and Aunt Cora need to have an active 10 year old around all the time." "Thirdly, you two and Drew need to have time to adjust to living together. I know you haven't seen him much, but once school starts, that will change." "And finally, I just have a feeling that things will work out just fine within a week or two so that everyone will be a beneficiary." Jeff concluded. "Jeff, I am amazed how thorough you think things through." Mrs. Tillison remarked and then she asked, "What should I get them for presents?" "Grams, don't even try to get them anything. I am sure if you did, Tyler would insist on taking the clothes back, since he knows I paid for the things tonight with your cards." Jeff answered. "Well guys, I need to go since the movers are supposed to be here at 8:00 in the morning to load the items for your house. They are planning to be at your house by 10:30. Goodnight guys." Jeff shut down the phone and led me into the bathroom. "Now old man, get undressed and let me see if Toby's assessment was correct." He helped me out of my clothes and then pulled me close and said "Dad, I love you. Toby is right." he said as he rubbed his hand over my stomach. "But we still have some more work to do." He caught me by surprise and he swatted my penis rather hard and said, "Maybe this will teach you to not mess with me." When I came out of the bathroom, he was lying there on his side. I could tell he wanted to talk, "Okay son, what's bothering you?" "Dad, will it okay if I accept Dr. Campbell's offer?" he asked. "Jeff, you haven't had time to fully explain the offer to me, so how can I answer? With what I do know, it would be a no brainer to not accept the offer. It sounds perfect to me." "But what if I screw up?" he asked. "I can't see that happening, and we can't be 100% perfect all of the time." I sighed. "Dad, one other thing. Could you stop by Target or someplace and at lunch time before you come home and pick up a television for Tyler's birthday gift from us? Take the Camry and then you can put it in the trunk so he won't see it." "Yes, your royal highness, sir." "Knock it off, Dad. Kiss me and just hold me tonight. I'm exhausted." I did as I was told and when I wrapped my arms around him, he was out like a light bulb turned off. I turned out the light and snuggled as close as I could get. Editor's Note: I'm getting pretty good at predicting these things. Well I got the order wrong, but I think I'm doing pretty good, considering that I hadn't seen this chapter yet. I have yet to be disappointed with this story. I really like it a lot. I suspect you might have guessed that from the fact that I volunteered to edit it. I usually don't do that unless I really like a story a lot. I can hardly wait for the next exciting chapter. Oh wait, I have it right here; I don't have to wait. Thanks for sending it to me.
