23 - Palm Springs Family - Apart Wednesday Luke

The boys are all feeling much more secure in their new families and lives. And, in a lot of ways, this separation between Luke and Steve will will start to open their eyes to the bigger world. All of the boys are starting to realize that they're tired of spending all of their time in the pool, and will start looking for other interests. The dads are both happy and worried at the prospect that they'll finally get out of the pool.

There are two families at the heart of this story:

- Alex, Kevin, Michael + Luke, Steve, Daniel and Diego who met twelve days ago, and got back to Palm Springs 9 days ago

- Captain Ken, Jared, Corey + Nick, Sam, Kurt, Aiden who were adopted several months earlier; Ken was the pilot on the chartered plane that brought the boys back to Palm Springs. They're moving to Palm Springs, and will live next door.

The boys are listed oldest to youngest, but all are currently twelve. Luke, Nick and Steve will be the first three to turn 13... in the upcoming months.

Others will up show occasionally, but not be a major part of the story, like...
- J+J and their boys, who live behind Alex, Kevin and Michael, and
- Chris, Chad and their families, who are moving nearby...

Day 12 Since Meeting

Day 9 in Palm Springs

Wednesday Morning

Palm Springs

Michael and Luke wake up at 7AM staring at each other, lying in bed together. After a few kisses, they decide to hold off on sex this morning...

They had set an alarm since they said they wanted to workout with the weights a bit before breakfast. Since it's a busy shopping day, they're not sure they'll have time later, and breakfast isn't till 8:30.

They quickly run in and pee and brush their teeth and then head to the kitchen.

Going out they find the morning crew just getting to work on breakfast. About that time the other three that aren't cooking come in. They all hug and the ones not cooking head for the weights.

Sweaty Fun

They brought a couple towels with them since Michael said they should always lie on a towel, to avoid getting the weight bench so sweaty. They all thinks that's a good idea. They're also all wearing shoes, at Michael's request.

Michael shows everybody how to do just a few stretching exercises before they start, explaining that it's easy to hurt themselves if they do too much without loosening up a bit.

All the boys try to get behind Michael so they can watch him bend over and stretch as many times as possible.

After they're warmed up a bit, they move back to the bench and Michael asks who wants to start. Nick volunteers, so Michael asks for a volunteer to spot him. Nobody has much experience with weights, and everybody is reluctant to start.

So Michael says he will, and Nick lies down and Michael stands at the barbell behind his head and takes hold of the barbell.

It doesn't escape anybody's attention that Nick is lying on the bench looking up at Michael's naked bits... especially Nick... with really big eyes, and he's definitely not complaining. He is quickly getting hard however, as is Michael. And not reaching up and playing with him is the hardest thing Nick hasn't done in a while.

They all laugh and decide they're going to stay naked regardless of how many times they get hard.

So Michael starts explaining why they always need somebody to 'spot' them, in case they can't lift the weights back up far enough to get it back into position... being careful to explain that they could be seriously hurt if they drop the barbell on themselves... and asks that none of them lift the barbells without somebody with them.

Michael has Nick do ten repetitions with not too much weight. He finishes, and even does another two sets before he gives up. Michael does have to help lift the barbell back into position on the last one.

After that Luke does three sets of ten reps, and then Sam does three, and finally Kurt manages to do two and a half sets, but not bad, especially for the first time in a while for any of them... and Kurt has never lifted weights at all. They all decide they really like doing this together... especially naked.

They spend some time doing a few things with the dumbbells, but since they're short on time today, they decide they better not do any more.

They head back inside and Luke cheerily asks, "Guys, you want to take a shower with us? Michael's shower is plenty big enough," which about causes Michael to pass out. He's really not sure that's a great idea, but before he can think of anything to say they all loudly say, 'yes'... and off they go, with Luke happily leading the way.

They almost run to the shower and Michael follows... much slower. They get in and Luke turns on the water and grabs Sam, literally, who is not complaining, and starts soaping him up. The others think that's a great idea.

Kurt and Nick gang up and start soaping Michael, front and back. And from the looks on their faces they think this is way better than grabbing him in the pool.

Michael 'yelps' at one point and the boys look over just as Nick runs the soap, and his hand, down Michael's ass crack, with a really evil smile, while Kurt is making sure his dick and balls are thoroughly soaped up, soooo enjoying running his hands around them, and especially being able to get this up close and personal with his big hard dick and pubic hair. They all laugh and Michael turns very red.

Michael is about to have a stroke worrying that Luke is going to start peeing on somebody.

They really seem to enjoy lifting his arms and soaping his armpits just as much, and Michael is almost sure Kurt leans forward and licks a nipple at one point. They're all rock hard.

It doesn't devolve into actual sex, but it gets very close for a while, especially when Kurt starts sliding Michael's foreskin back and forth, thinking it's like the best toy he's ever seen.

They all seem to really enjoy their little bonding time. They eventually get out and start drying each other off, making sure all those nooks and crannies are dry.

After finishing they all head back to the kitchen, a big tangle of excited boy parts, just about the time all four dads come in together, wondering why they're all coming out of Michael's room together... hard.

Luke sees their faces and happily says, "We just used the weights and all showered in Michael's room."

The dads aren't sure what to say, so they don't... deciding it's safer to just have breakfast.

Although, honestly, they're kinda surprised they haven't all ended up in a shower together before now... and just as honestly have no problem with it. And they're all thinking it'll probably happen a lot more often now... and they're not unhappy about that either.

Even though it's been a long time, they all remember trying to steal secret glances at other boys in school showers, knowing they'd get the crap beat out of them if they ever got caught.

They don't intend for these boys to have to do that, at least not at home. School is an entirely different matter. And it's not like they don't all see each other naked anyway, so having it happen in a shower, at home, isn't that much of a stretch..

They all fill their plates and go outside and sit... and have their normal five different conversations.

Luke tells the dads that Steve and Corey are coming back tomorrow, Thursday, and they'll be back in time for lunch, and in plenty of time for dinner.

It never takes long for the boys to eat everything available, clean up their dishes, and they waste no time running off to do something else.

Michael and Luke help with the cleanup, and then they make plans for when they want to leave to go shop... Probably no store will be open until 9AM, so they still have a few minutes without rushing. Aiden says they're finishing up the list of food items they'll need. The worst thing is it means they'll all have to get dressed. Damn this is hard.

Shopping

Aiden, Diego and Daniel are all going shopping with Michael and Luke. They have a lot of things to buy today, starting with enough dishes for everybody.

First stop on their shopping trip is Walmart. From looking online they don't think they'll find any dishes here they really want, but they think it's worth a quick stop-by... plus, they want to buy something 'special' for dinner... and they want it to be a surprise.

But that was before the boys decided they want shorts for things like playing soccer, so the first stop is to go clothes shopping. By the time they get to Walmart all the other boys had added their favorite color for shorts, so they all go round up shorts and t-shirts for each boy, and then go off to find a soccer ball. Daniel and Diego are presumed to be the experts on that, as they're the ones who have played the most apparently, and they select one.

Then they head over to the dish section. Aiden's mostly in charge of that, along with Michael's help.

Diego and Daniel say they're going to check on something else... and they'll meet the others in the area where the dishes and kitchen stuff is... and off they go.

Michael thinks that's more than a little odd, but they promise to not leave the store without them.

The other three go to look at dishes. They spend some time looking but don't really find anything they want.

About that time Diego and Daniel come back, holding a small bag. Michael asks what they bought and they say it's a surprise for somebody. Michael thinks that's a little odd too, but doesn't say anything.

All the boys had been given at least $40 at various times, so they either paid cash for whatever it was, or used their ATM card for their allowances... which none of them have done yet. They don't say and Michael doesn't ask.

Having struck out for dishes, they go pay for the soccer ball along with shorts, and t-shirts for each boy.

Michael also decides it's a good idea to get cheap tennis shoes for everybody, so they don't destroy their better ones. Michael's as happy as the dads that the boys are ready to get out of the pool for a change.

And then it's off to Bed Bath and Beyond. They have a much bigger selection of dishes. But since they'd really like to have them for dinner tomorrow, they'll have to get whatever is in stock... As a last resort, they can use what they have for the adults... the boys can always eat pizza or Mexican food off of mismatched or paper plates.

Dad Kevin Note:

Since this took place a while ago, Bed Bath and Beyond has gone out of business. Glad we got our dishes first! And we hate to see that, as they were generally a place we liked to shop.

They find a lot of choices at Bed Bath and Beyond.

The ones Aiden and crew like best have to be ordered, so it would be too late for dinner. They all settle on their second choice, which they like almost as much.

So, after a lot of discussion, they make their choices and get somebody to help them get everything together and paid for. They have to make multiple trips but eventually get it all into Michael's SUV.

They head back home. Aiden and crew are going to start running everything thru the dishwasher and then figure out where to store everything. Fortunately the dining room has a pretty big cabinet that should work fine.

Grocery Shopping

Normally, Michael and Luke would go alone, but this time the three cooks want to go, so they can look over produce and stuff before they buy it, plus there are a few items Diego and Daniel want to see, because they're not sure exactly what their mother used for cooking.

So they all pile back into the SUV. They'll start on washing the dishes when they get back, plus they have all day tomorrow until dinner to finish last minute things.

They head for Cardenas, one of the large Mexican grocery stores nearby that has all the staples plus a huge selection of Mexican foods. It's a huge store and if it's used in Mexican cooking, they probably have it.

They have a huge produce and meat section, including cow tongue.... yuuucccck... Luke won't even get close to the meat case. Don't blame him.

Daniel and Diego have a blast, saying they haven't seen anything like this since their parents... were 'gone'.

Michael knows this store reasonably well, they shop here a bit. A fair number of the people who work here only speak minimal English, and some none at all, but that's certainly not a problem for Daniel and Diego, who get a lot of attention while shopping and discussing what they're going to buy.

The dads speak enough Spanish to mostly get by in the store... but it ain't pretty when they have to try. Michael doesn't, and it always makes him feel a little uncomfortable in the store, which is another one of the reasons he's always wanted to learn Spanish... Alex and Kevin too.

And now he has two of the best reasons ever to learn, Daniel and Diego, as do the dads.

Several of the people who work here really go out of their way to help the two very cute Latino twins, who decide this is their favorite grocery store... ever, in the whole world. They pretty quickly round up what they came for.

They need to make one more stop on the way back, for a couple items Cardenas didn't have, like a big container of potato salad that everybody likes.

Michael and Luke really enjoy the shopping trip with the other three. Luke was kinda unhappy that they were going to cut into his time with Michael, but ends up deciding it was a lot of fun with them along.

Michael tells them when they get back to let him know if they need anything else. They say they'll put it on the reminder list and let him know they did.

After they get all the items inside, the 'Aiden crew' tell them to get out of the kitchen... they have work to get started, and that they'll do lunch and dinner, since they'll be in the kitchen anyway.

Laughing loudly, Michael and Luke quickly make their exit.

The three must be feeling more at home, as they should, and Michael's very happy about that.

Every time one of them or one of the dads pass the kitchen the three of them are hard at work.

They seem to be very organized, but from the little bits anybody could hear... nobody can figure out what they're talking about, but they're pretty sure it isn't Spanish... but it doesn't much sound like English either. It's a mystery, but they seem to understand what they're saying and doing. They're pretty sure it's English, but they seem to have worked out a lot of shortcuts... somehow.

Lunch

Since the kitchen crew has their hands full getting everything started for dinner tomorrow, they decide on a quick lunch with grilled ham and cheese sandwiches, air fryer potatoes, fruit and a few other things. Not a single boy complains.

And all the boys from J&J's are over too, so it's a really big group for lunch. They don't see J&J's boys a lot. The dads figure it's because J&J are reluctant to let them hang out too much over here.

J&J are a lot more hung-up about some of the sexual issues that have come up about the dads and boys and Michael and Corey. It certainly started that day at breakfast at their house, seeing all those kisses... but Alex, Kevin and Michael knew before that that they're kinda sticks in the mud about a lot of topics like that.

It's also causing a little problem between J&J and their boys, who aren't happy about having eight gay boys right behind them that they're not allowed to play with as much as they want.

It takes several turns thru the air fryer to get enough potatoes cooked for everybody.

The rest of the day is mostly trying to stay out of the kitchen.

And of course the prime way for staying out of the kitchen... is to stay in the pool. The boys not cooking wanted to play with the soccer ball, but all felt guilty because the other three, who brought up getting the soccer ball, are all working in the kitchen. They decide to wait until they can play with them.

Eagle eyed Luke is pretty sure he saw a couple of the boys from behind getting a little handsy with Sam, Kurt and Nick... several seem particularly interested in Nick's more ample endowment, but nobody gets too carried away.

If any of the dads notice, they apparently either pretend they don't... or decide to stay out of it.

Afternoon

The kitchen crew is working away, chatting and having a great time. They're all enjoying the chance to spend some time with each other and get to know each other better...

At one point when they're getting everything ready for today and discussing the menu for tomorrow, it occurs to Diego to ask Michael about a second Instant Pot, since they're going to need to cook rice, and beans and tamales... and maybe it'll work for some other things too.

He finds Michael and asks, who says, "We only have the one. We can go buy a second one if you need it," which of course Diego doesn't want to make them have to do.

Jared overhears the conversation and says, "Guys, we have one in LA. We put it on the list for Corey and Steve to bring back. It'll be moved eventually anyway."

Aiden and crew thinks that's perfect, so they put it on the reminder list that Jared set up for what to bring back.

Michael also asks Luke to send Steve a message about bringing it back, thinking it'll be friendlier if Steve gets a message from Luke. It is and they even text a few minutes about other things. Michael's afraid to ask what they texted about. And neither Luke nor Steve let it interfere with their time apart.

So with all the shopping today, they only have a few items to get tomorrow... and anything else they think about today.

Aiden, Daniel and Diego are really enjoying doing something for the entire family. It makes them all feel good to be able to contribute a little... although if the other boys get a vote, feeding them is a pretty high priority, so for them it's a pretty big thing.

Suicidal Tendencies Much?

Luke goes and sits with the adults for a while, but decides pretty quickly it's boring, so he goes to the pool.

Michael's not unhappy about that because he knows he has to say something to Ken and Jared about how he ended up in the shower with three of their sons. And he really, really doesn't want to do that. He likes Ken and Jared a lot, but he doesn't know them nearly well enough to know how they're going to react.

But he can't think of any other alternative, so looking directly at them, Michael ends up sputtering thru, "Guys, I need to say... it was not my idea to end up in the shower with three of your sons. That was all Luke's idea," not feeling real good about ratting him out, but he's certainly not going to take the blame if he can avoid it.

He continues, "Nothing... much... happened. I got the best soaping up and drying off I think I've ever had, and you saw how much luck I had not getting hard... I'm really sorry guys," looking down at his feet like he's seen Luke do before.

Ken and Jared look at each other, for a while, then look at Alex and Kevin, who are trying their damn best to not laugh out loud like crazy men.

Finally, looking as serious as possible, Ken says in a pretty bone-chilling tone, "Well... thank you for that... explanation. I guess I understand how that happened... uhhh... I have only one question," which makes Michael think he's going to have an impromptu re-enactment of peeing in the shower with Luke.

Ken says nothing for a painfully long time, and finally says, with complete seriousness, "How was it for you?"

As soon as he gets it out the other three dads start laughing like hyenas... except Ken, whose expression doesn't change a fucking bit... which makes the other three dads reconsider laughing out loud... so they stop and just stare.

The boys all look toward them wondering what the crap is going on, but fortunately nobody comes to investigate.

Michael doesn't have a damn clue what he should say to that... so he doesn't. He just sits there looking pretty condemned.

Ken actually does something even scarier.

He gets up and walks up to Michael, who thinks he really did just pee a bit, reaches down and pulls him up, Michael thinking this is his last minute on earth... and he hugs the absolute crap out of him... well, not literally, but it's a damn nice tight hug.

He hugs back... nervously... thinking the entire time, "Now would be a really bad time to get hard."

After he's at least hopeful that he's not going to die... yet, Michael manages to get out, "Thank gawd. I thought you were going to kill me," which gets more laughs.

Ken, still standing within easy strangling distance says, very seriously, "I didn't hear your answer," which scares Michael even more. Was that a 'goodbye' hug?

Michael says absolutely nothing... until the dads all start laughing again. Ken hugs him really tight again, kisses him... not on the cheek, and sits back down, as does Michael... although it's a tossup as to whether he sat... or fell into the chair.

Ken finally stops laughing and says, "Michael, I'll tell you the absolute truth. When these two (pointing at Alex and Kevin) told Luke and Steve they could... have sex with you and Corey, I thought they were fucking nuts."

Alex, between laughs, confirms, "He did!"

Ken continues, "But Michael, I've totally changed my mind... mostly because of how damn impressed I am with Luke and Steve. It hurt... a lot... watching them go thru all the feeling they were having after those kisses, but Michael... I've never been prouder of anybody in my life than I am of both of them. They worked thru it... no matter how hard it was for them. They didn't argue... and they didn't get mad at each other.

"Alex and Kevin have talked a bit about how hard it was for them... the first dozen times or so that sex happened with somebody else (chuckling a bit at the 'dozen times').

"We did the same thing Michael. We had some pretty damn bad arguments about it. And, just like these two with you (pointing to Alex and Kevin), if we hadn't gotten over it, we never could have been honest with each other about how we felt about Corey... And Michael, I can't imagine my life without Corey in it... you three either, honestly.

"So Michael, the other three might have a different idea, but... not only am I not worried about it, I'm very glad it happened, because it shows how much more comfortable our boys are with you... and each other. And honestly, I hope it happens a lot more.

"Michael, our boys are so much happier and outgoing and closer than they were before we all met. I don't ever want to go back to that. Ever. Michael, we all three trust you and Corey completely with the boys.

"I'll... admit something to all of you... Jared already knows, but I had sex with an adult when I wasn't that much older than the boys are... I won't give details, but it happened many times... for a long time... and I totally loved him. And it was the most amazing thing I'd ever done in my life.

"And Michael, it's probably not going to be that long before the boys aren't going to be happy just soaping you up... and that's fine too. Michael, I trust you and Corey, and I think it'll be just as amazing of an experience for our sons as it was for me... with both you and Corey," which gets a very odd expression from Michael.

He's relieved that Ken's not ready to kill him for what happened. But it hits him in the gut worse than he's ever been hit, to think about how much responsibility that's going to be for him and Corey. It's more than he can really process or deal with at the moment... so he just doesn't.

The other three say basically the same thing... Jared admits he did the same thing when he was a lot younger... as do Alex and Kevin, but no details are given, which surprises the absolute hell out of Michael.

They've never said that before... well, they've certainly talked about threesomes with people after they met in college, but neither of them have ever said they had sex with an adult when they were anywhere near as young as the boys...

Now, the only thing left for Michael to decide is how much he's really ready to die today. He contemplates for a painfully long time, but eventually says, looking directly at Alex the entire time,

"You all know that Corey and I aren't the only adults in this house that the boys... are beginning to have those feeling for... Are you really ready to deal with that?" thinking he's going to have to move... or run for his life.

Alex is the first to react, and it's a tear running down his face... followed almost instantly by more tears.

He finally can say, "Yeah... I Know. But Michael, I can't do that... I would hate myself as long as I live..." and kinda trails off.

Michael decides he better not push his luck any further.

A Bit Earlier

The boys from behind left a little after lunch.

Luke walks up to Kurt, Nick and Sam and it doesn't take long for everybody to get a little handsy... although they don't want to be so obvious that the dads see.

It probably shouldn't be a surprise to anybody, but it's been occurring to all four of them recently that there's some interest between them... Steve too, but he's not here right now. Sam decides it's in his interest to speed things along some.

As soon as Luke walks up to them, Sam walks up to Luke and hugs and kisses him quickly, hoping bigly that the dads don't notice, and asks, not without blushing pretty good, "Luke, can I ask you a question?"

Luke's a little surprised he's this friendly, but not complaining at all, "Of course." And for the record, Luke definitely kisses back... and neither was exactly chaste.

Sam blushes big time and says softly enough that the dads won't hear, "I went by your room the other day and there... uhhh... were two... things... (almost whispering) dildos... lying on your bed. I was wondering if the three of us could... uhhh... borrow one of them sometime," which gets a huge smile on Luke's face.

Luke had joked to the dads about sharing their two with them, but he hasn't got around to mentioning it to the boys yet.

He immediately says, "Of course. They're a lot of fun... neither of us are big enough yet... to be much fun. We used to have a shampoo bottle that we used, but these are way better... they're softer and bendable and feel a lot better... more like dicks," which gets a nervous laugh from the other three.

Sam is not giving up, "I'm afraid they're both too big to start with. You don't have any smaller ones to do you?" looking like he just peed in the pool... not that anybody would complain.

Luke says excitedly, "No, but Michael has a box with more in it... some are really big, but there are two that are smaller... I think. Do you want me to ask?"

The three look like they're going to faint, which Luke sees, and then quickly adds, "You know... Michael told us we can take them, so when we get out of the pool we'll run by and get them. I'll tell Michael I took them, because I will..." which makes all three smile pretty good.

There's not enough people in the pool to play volleyball, so they just throw the ball around a while, but the threesome are very interested in speeding this up.

After a little more quiet discussion, they decide that only Sam will go with Luke to Michael's room to get the dildos. They're afraid it would be way too obvious if they all get out of the pool hard and run in the house together. Plus, Sam is the one that wants to get fucked by them, and he wants to see how big they are, so just Sam and Luke get out and dry off and go into the house.

The dads notice and think it's a little unusual, but they just assume it's something about an iPad or phone... or something. They're afraid to ask... plus, at the moment, they all have more depressing things on their minds... that they're all trying really hard to avoid talking any more about.

Luke and Sam almost run to Michael's bedroom, Luke gets on the floor and drags the box out, and it's all Sam can do to not get on the floor behind him and start licking... he came so close to sticking out his tongue and...

Luke quickly picks up the two smallest dildos... Sam's smile is bigger than Luke's ever seen. He hands them to Sam, who looks like he's afraid to touch them, but he finally does take them.

They have a brief conversation, including Sam holding the smaller one down to compare to Luke, which makes both of them chuckle... And for the record, it's not that close, the dildo is a good bit bigger than Luke, who isn't happy about it either... but they both have high hopes... and good imaginations.

Sam asks if he can takes these two, since they're slightly different sizes, and Luke says of course. Luke says that they're still a good bit bigger than Nick, assuming that's what this is all about. Sam blushes a lot but admits that it is.

Luke does one more thing before Sam can get away. He reaches into the box and hands Sam a blindfold, and says, "I really like wearing this while I'm being fucked... it's so hot not knowing what the other person is doing. Try it," and Sam takes it and is having some pretty naughty thoughts about it too.

Luke realizes that he needs to ask Michael about getting more blindfolds... wondering how he's going to explain needing more.

Sam dares to get closer and actually kisses Luke pretty good. Luke kisses back... again. Now they're both hard... again.

Luke warns him about using plenty of lube and going really, really slow, which Sam promises that they'll do.

Then Sam says, "I wish you could be there with us the first time," which excites Luke quite a bit. He wishes that too.

He thinks about it but says that Michael would want to know where he's at. Sam isn't quite ready for any of the adults to know... just yet. So it's decided Luke will have to wait until Steve and Corey are back and then him and Steve can sneak in some night... although Luke doesn't see why they're afraid for the dads to know.

Sam takes the two toys and runs back to his room to leave them.

When he gets back to Luke, they both go back out to the pool, which gets a few curious looks from a few adults, but nobody thinks much about it. In fact they're mostly just glad that Luke and them are spending some time getting to know each other better... if they only knew.

And if things go the way they want, they'll soon get to know each other a lot better.

All the dads are so preoccupied that none of the dads notice the huge smiles on Kurt and Nick's faces as Luke and Sam come back out. And of course the whole idea of getting fucked by bigger things is more temptation than any of them can resist, especially after they all drooled over a very big hard Michael lifting weights this morning... and getting to soap and rub him in the shower... that was just amazing. He even mentions the peeing in the shower, and without thinking Nick blurts out, "That sounds soooo hot," to which the others kinda mumble their agreement... looking down at their feet, in the water, the entire time.

All three are just standing there with their mouths hanging open... and very hard.

Fortunately Luke decides to NOT tell them about what he kinda accidentally did with his hand and Michael's butt... he doesn't want to freak them out, plus he's not sure the dads would be happy about that, especially after dad Alex's warning him about not telling people.

They think they're being very good about not letting the dads know, but they're not quite as good at it as they think... the dads just kinda look at each other, roll their eyes and shake their heads... and smile a bit... happy to have something less depressing to think about than their earlier conversation.

They all figured it was going to happen eventually, and they're actually pretty happy about it. It would be easier if Luke and Steve would spend more time with their younger brothers and less time with Michael and Corey. So none of them are unhappy with this turn of events.

They don't know about the dildos... yet.

About that time Daniel, Diego and Aiden come out and jump in the pool with them. The boys spend some time in the pool... they even throw the ball around for a while longer, and of course, like the dads have always told them, it's really important to rub suntan lotion on... often... being very careful to pay special attention to all those hard to reach places.

They spend some time comparing how dark they are compared to Diego and Daniel. They're not very close, and none of them are happy about it, which they tell them.

Nick remembers the soccer ball and suggests they all go play some with it. They all happily agree, get out, dry off and run to their rooms to put on their shoes... they decide they'll stay naked since they're just going to be in the yard anyway.

Dinner

Dinner is great, the kitchen crew had made and started baking a big baked lasagne, and started fresh garlic bread, salad and a few other things before coming outside. The dads completely renovated and remodeled the house when they bought it. They put in a very nice kitchen, with a double refrigerator and very nice appliances, including a double oven. The smaller one is perfect for baking bread.

Dinner is a big hit again, and Aiden, Daniel and Diego get lots of compliments. Although several boys noticed Aiden beating the hell out of the bread again at one point... they're still not sure what's going on with that. Daniel and Diego just smile big.

And the dads and most of the boys are trying to figure out how to get them to cook all the meals. But don't tell Michael.

Michael's trying to figure that out too, but don't tell the dads.

After they get everything cleaned up and put away, Michael, Luke and all the boys go out and sit with the dads to chat a bit. It's turned into a fairly busy day after all.

Even though there's a seat beside Michael, Luke sits across Michael's legs and leans back against him.

He loves it when Michael wraps his arms tight around him, pulls him back against him and just sits with his nose against his neck... just inhaling his scent, although he's been in the pool so much today that there's not much scent left other than chlorine, which isn't nearly as sexy.

Alex is sitting and watching how much they love sitting like that, trying really hard to not be envious of Michael, and really trying to stop thinking about what Michael said earlier... and Michael is trying really hard to not get hard.

The dads all smile and are still really amazed that they're not talking constantly on their phones... but they're all pretty sure they can tell that Luke is missing him.

It's also occurred to all the dads that's it's really different without Steve and Corey here, but they can't quite figure out why. There's just something about having them all together that's way better. It honestly seems more boring with Steve and Corey gone.

They all sit and talk for quite a while until the kitchen crew heads to their room.

Eventually Michael asks Luke if he's ready to head to 'their room', which makes Luke smile really big. He gets up and pulls Michael up by the hand, and they both hug all the dads.

And Luke practically drags Michael away.

After a long hectic day, Michael runs out of excuses for avoiding sex any longer.

He's not really avoiding it, but he's feeling a lot of different things right now, and he knows he and Luke need to talk about them at least a little.

Luke has been thinking about Steve coming back too. He's really excited but also more than a little worried. He has some things to confess to Steve and he's not sure how Steve will feel about them. And he's a little unhappy that he's not going to have this much time with Michael after they get back.

After a few seconds he says with red eyes, "Michael, I don't think I've ever been this happy. You and Steve and Corey mean everything to me... our dads too of course. Without them none of us would be here.

"I thought you were so sexy when we met you, but I never thought I'd get to do anything with you... The sex is amazing Michael, but I just really enjoy being with you. I also really enjoyed the time shopping with Aiden, Diego and Daniel. Steve and I knew Daniel and Diego of course, but not as good as we do now.

Michael wants to be sure how Luke's feeling about other things too, plus he really wants to change the subject, "How do you feel about the other two guys Luke? Are you really ok if they actually had sex with each other?" looking a little skeptically at Luke.

Luke gets a big frown which quickly turns to a smile and then says, "I hope they did Michael. I... don't know why, but I hope they're somebody we can all... get to know better... They must be good guys or Corey and Steve wouldn't have wanted to spend their time together with them. I was surprised. I hope they're really nice guys. They look cute. How do you feel if Corey did?" looking at Michael.

Michael smiles big and says, "I think they're cute too. I actually hope they did have sex with them. It'll be nice to have a few close friends, which I hope we can all become. There's an age difference between them, so that must not have freaked them out. But Luke, are you ok with Steve having sex with them? Really ok?"

Luke is just as surprised that he is and chuckles a little and says, "Yeah, I'm surprised too (gets a chuckle out of Michael). I never thought I could ever do anything like this Michael... especially when it involves Steve.

"The day Steve leaned over and kissed me the first time... Michael I can't explain it. I just thought that we'd love each other and be together... with just each other... for as long as we live Michael," while looking lovingly into Michael's dark eyes.

Thinking for a bit Luke says, "When I was in school or somewhere, I saw some poster... that I thought was pretty stupid. There was a bird cage and the door was open... and the bird was sitting outside the cage. It said,

'If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it belongs to you, and if it doesn't, it never did'."

Remembering what he sees exactly, in every detail, is something that Luke is very good at, even though he doesn't know how.

"Michael, Steve and I did that. We set each other free... to do something we each wanted to do, with you and Corey. And Michael, it makes me love Steve so much that he trusts me to be here with you... and I'm really glad he got to go with Corey. Steve really does love Corey... just as much as I love you. Michael, I'll never leave Steve. We'll be together for as long as we live, unless he dumps me," chuckling sadly.

Luke thinks a bit and continues, "I think this trip was really important Michael. We both... Daniel and Diego too... have talked about how nothing seems normal since... all that happened with our families. This all just seems normal Michael," which hits Michael pretty hard, especially after Luke had told him about their terrible dreams.

After a bit Michael says, "Luke, I'll tell you something only your dads know. I was always really worried about them adopting you guys. I figured there would be no way the three of us could stay together, with you guys here... we were all scared to death about you guys finding out about us. I figured I'd end up moving away from your dads because of that," Michael's face now has tears.

Michael continues, "Luke, when you asked me to tell you the truth about the three of us at the Amusement Park that day... Luke, I was so afraid you would hate all of us. You didn't. You looked me straight in the eyes and said you were glad we have each other. I was really afraid Alex and Kevin would be really pissed at me for telling you. But we were all so glad that you guys were all ok with it."

Michael continues slowly, "I decided right at that moment that I loved you Luke. You have such an amazing heart. I knew right at that moment that I could never imagine a better 'little brother'...And Luke, I knew at that moment that I'll never be able to lie to you either.

"Little did I know we'd end up having sex and being in love with each other... like this. But Luke, you and Steve have changed my life in so many amazing ways... Daniel and Diego too of course. Corey too. I just want all of this to work out, Luke... and if we can do this without hurting each other or being jealous, I think what we have is amazing."

Luke, now with tears running down his face, takes Michael's face in his hands and kisses him sweetly. He just lays his head on his chest, and says nothing for a few minutes.

Finally, after debating it with himself for a while, Luke raises up, looks Michael in the eyes and asks, "Michael, is it ok if we just make love to each other tonight. And just hold each other... and be together?"

Michael is unprepared for that question, but thinking about it says, "Luke, that's perfect. I've loved everything that we did... but I love you a lot more than just sex. It's perfect Luke," and they get up and put down a big towel.

Michael's Demons

His father caught him one night as Michael was trying to sneak back into the house about midnight. He had waited up for him. The first problem was that Michael had drunk a couple of beers... he was only sixteen, and of course the drinking age was 21.

His father grabbed him and shoved him up against a wall... hard. He started yelling at Michael and demanded to know why he was always hanging out with 'that faggot Rick', as he called him. Michael was scared to death that his father could somehow 'smell' the sex on him, after what the two of them had done.

His father had always thought Rick was gay... although that certainly wasn't the word his father used. And he certainly wasn't happy that Michael spent a fair amount of time with him.

Michael honestly was afraid his father was going to kill him, or at least beat him half to death... Fortunately the noise alerted his mother, who came downstairs and went off on Michael's father, beating him as much as she could with her fists.

As soon as his father let him go, Michael ran to his room... and locked his door, scared to death about what was going to happen. He heard his parents yelling and screaming for what seemed like hours, while cowering in his room.

His father had apparently been sitting and waiting for Michael to come home... getting more and more pissed off at the thought of having a faggot for a son, as he put it... for hours... and drinking the entire time.

He eventually heard doors slamming... and then nothing. He forced himself to unlock his door and go downstairs, really afraid that his angry belligerent father had actually killed his mother.

And he has never forgiven himself for running to his room and leaving his mother alone... to fight off his father. He didn't think his father would actually hit his mother, but it's a shame that he's never lived down, and is pretty sure he never will. And something that he's determined to never let happen again, no matter the cost.

What he found was his mother slumped down against the wall crying, with a bloody lip and black eye. He went over to her, crying as much as she was. They just sat and hugged each other for a long time.

What his mother told him that night shook him to his core... and made him love her more than he ever had.

She managed to pull herself together, mostly for Michael's sake, and looked him directly in his eyes and said, "Michael, I love you with all my heart. Don't ever let some asshole tell you how to live your life. Son, you need to live your life the way you want to... the way you need to. Don't ever pretend to be somebody that you're not. I want you to find somebody that you love Michael... and I want you to have a great life son."

That was all that was ever said about him being gay.

She took Michael and they went to the police station, even though it was well after midnight, and filed a battery complaint against her husband. She said it was important to go right now, so they could see and photograph her face and lip. She didn't even wipe off the blood from her face.

The next day she went to her lawyer and filed for divorce, and got a restraining order against her husband. She eventually convinced the District Attorney to drop the charges against her husband, after he agreed in writing to not contest the divorce, to move out immediately, to pay child support until Michael turned eighteen, to never come back, and to fund a College Fund to pay for Michael to go to college...

The only way the DA would agree to drop the charges is that she said she wouldn't testify against him, and he couldn't force her to... so he didn't have much choice.

The only reason she refused to testify was to avoid putting Michael thru months of having to deal with that in court, and having all his friends find out. She couldn't have cared less about her asshole husband.

They arranged a time for him to come into the house and remove all his belongings... when they weren't there. He funded the college account and Michael never saw him again... and was very happy about that.

He and his mother are still close, although she doesn't live in California and they don't see each other nearly as much as they would like... they talk at least weekly on the phone... and Michael has always been very honest about his relationship with Alex and Kevin, who she has met once and she talks to them sometimes on the phone. She's very happy that Michael has them in his life... and now she knows about the boys too, and is very happy for all of them. And she has no doubts about the three of them being in love.

And non-religious Michael says a silent prayer often for how his life has worked out... and especially because all of these boys will never have to go thru what he did.

Michael hadn't really thought about the similarities to Luke's drug-using threatening father... and his own belligerent father... or about them having that in common. Realizing it is both very unsettling and a little comforting.

Michael is very happy with how his life has turned out, thanks to his mom and Alex and Kevin, and it makes him realize that if he can overcome his asshole father, Luke can too... although he knows that Luke had it much worse than he did growing up.

At least Michael had his mother for love and support, unlike Luke, who's mother was barely there at all because of all the alcohol and drugs.

Michael shakes off his thoughts and gets back to the matter at hand... making sure Luke knows every moment he can how much he loves him... and how much he will always be there for him.

It shocked Michael when he fell in love with both Alex and Kevin. He had never thought about that being a 'thing' before either. And he certainly has no regrets about that happening.

And Michael has no doubt that both and Steve will move on from Corey and himself... someday.

Somewhere deep down inside he knows that this is just a stepping stone, a stop on their journey to young manhood. But he also knows that they'll always have a connection that is so deep, so intimate, so powerful... even after they find other people that matter to them just as much... or even more, which he knows and hopes that they will.

And even though he can't imagine how much it will hurt when they do move on, he knows that he'll never try to stop them... no matter how much it hurts.

Luke is lying here looking into Michael's eyes, feeling so at ease with the world... not afraid of everything any more, not dreading what's going to happen every second... something that he's rarely been able to do in his life.

Steve was the one very good thing that he has ever had in his life, and he would have been terrified to be without him, even for a short time... but not so much anymore... although he's missing him a lot more than he lets others see.

Luke knows he comes across sometimes as a lot more confident than he really is... even a little cocky at times with his quick-witted answers. He doesn't do it on purpose...

He had to do that to try to distance himself from his sperm donor. It hurt Luke so much to be mistreated by him... for years. He used to love his father so much, and he was sure he used to love him just as much.

He's wracked his brain so many times trying to figure out what he did to make his biological father hate him as much as he did. To make him hate him so much that he was willing to hurt him the ways he did, pretty much every chance he got.

It wasn't that he beat him... often. It was that he seemed hellbent on breaking him, on making him as broken as he was. As broken as he made his mother.

Luke long ago managed to bury any real feeling he had for his sperm donor, but he's never been able to even pretend that he didn't love his mother... He usually just pretends she didn't exist. It's easier.

He felt so much pain for her, seeing her slip further and further away every day, bit by bit, drink by drink, pill by pill. He doesn't blame himself for that. He blames his sperm donor. He spent years watching how his sperm donor tortured his mother until she just completely gave up and became what he was, what he wanted, because she just didn't have any energy left to resist him... anymore.

It scared him to death to think that the same thing would happen to him.

Earlier

After Michael and Luke and all the other boys disappear into their rooms for the night, the dads are sitting and talking, which they do a lot... and of course sipping their margaritas.

And for the record, they sip very slowly, and they've also reduced the amount of alcohol in them so they can sip more without feeling it as much... plus it's the desert, it's hot, and a nice slushy icy drink is always nice to have.

They've had multiple conversations about what's going on with the foursome. Alex and Kevin in particular are having a very hard time justifying letting Luke, and probably Steve too, do some of these things...

But how to tell them they can't do it is an entirely different problem.
