17 - Palm Springs Family - Breaking Bread and Taboos

Sun Day 10

A Breakfast of Change

All four of the boyfriends really feel bad that Aiden didn't feel like he could talk to anybody about his grandmother. They all know he's a pretty quiet boy... but he seems to always enjoy being in the pool with the others, so nobody really thought much about it. They all know they should have paid more attention.

But, for the moment, they're trying to get him to tell them what he likes to do as far as cooking goes.

He's a little intimidated by the four, especially since he's seen enough to know they're all sleeping together... He doesn't understand how that works...

He especially doesn't understand how Steve and Luke, who he knows are boyfriends, can do that. He certainly knows that Corey and Michael have slept together and say they're boyfriends... But now all of these guys are... together.

He doesn't know exactly how that works, but he's slowly admitting he's kinda interested in somebody too... and doesn't know what to do about that either. They've talked just a little bit, but nobody's had the nerve to do anything other than hint about being interested... yet.

They finally do get him to tell them that he can do pretty much anything in the kitchen, but that he loves to bake, especially bread and cakes. His gran even taught him how to make biscuits.

The huge smiles on the other four faces are pretty obvious.

Michael goes to the pantry and starts pulling things out. When he finishes he asks Aiden if that's everything he needs to make biscuits.

Aiden says, "I usually makes buttermilk biscuits, but nobody ever has buttermilk," even managing to chuckle a little bit.

Michael laughs and goes to the refrigerator and comes back and hands Aiden something... and says, "Kevin and Alex are southern. They love buttermilk. I... uh... Luke and I (giving Luke a big smile) bought some yesterday."

Aiden looks happier than he has all morning... He goes over and looks at the stuff Michael put out and asks if they have butter. Michael says they do, and asks what he needs to mix everything.

Aiden says just a baking pan, large mixing bowl and a few other big spoons and things is all he need. Michael asks about a rolling pin, he doesn't think they have one.

Aiden said, "Gran never uses one for biscuits. She just flattens... uhh... flattened... them with her hands... I do that too."

Luke says, "Great... we'll start on other stuff. How long will you need?"

Michael goes over and starts the coffee... no need to make the dads even grumpier.

Aiden thinks a moment and says, "I'll start heating the oven because that'll probably take the longest. By then I'll have everything ready. They need to bake about 15 minutes. I'm going to cut some butter and put it in the freezer for a few minutes... it needs to be really cold... so probably about 40 minutes."

Corey goes over and hugs Aiden and says, "Aiden, we're all really sorry we didn't know about your gran. I'm really sorry Aiden, but we all love you. Please, if anything ever bothers you, come and talk to me or any of us about it... I promise, we'll help any way we can, Ok?" and hugs and kisses the slightly teary boy again on the cheek.

And then three more hugs and cheek kisses seal the deal... at least for now.

Aiden goes to start pre-heating the oven, but it's different from what he's used before, so he asks Michael to show him how to set the temperature, which Michael gladly does.

They work away... chatting with each other and especially enjoying talking with Aiden as they work. He's always so quiet that it was easy to overlook that he's very bright and is a lot of fun to talk to.

They gradually get him to tell them all a bit about his grandmother. It's clear from how he talks about her that he really loved her... still does. And it breaks all of their hearts a bit to hear the sadness in his voice, but it also seems like it helps Aiden to be able to about her some.

Luke and Steve are working on getting stuff out of the refrigerator, and Corey and Michael are in charge of the stove... at least the top part. Aiden's in control of the oven at the moment.

They decide to go all out on breakfast, and end up having an amazing breakfast with biscuits, eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, in case anybody wants a ham biscuit, gravy for the biscuits of course, and cut up fruit, OJ, Milk and other stuff to drink.

Got to start getting these boys to eat something other than Pizza and hamburgers, although sausage, bacon and gravy probably aren't any better.

Most of the other boys are already there by the time they go to call them... apparently they can all smell food cooking. Who knew?

The kitchen crew sets up everything on the counters, and everybody serves themselves. Luke and Steve had cleaned the outside tables.

The boys' eyes about pop out when they see everything. Even the dads are all very impressed.

After everybody gets their food and are sitting and talking, Ken takes a big bite of his biscuit, covered with butter, smiles and stands up and says,

"Guys, we all have Aiden to thank for these amazing biscuits. His grandmother taught him how to make these... and how to cook. And guys, Aiden is having a bit of a problem dealing with the loss of his grandmother right now. It happened six months ago today. Aiden, we're all so, so sorry... and we're very sorry we didn't realize it. All of you, guys we love you.

"We know things are hectic right now with planning to move and all... (looking at Kevin and Alex and their boys) and we apologize to you guys so much for invading your home and family, but guys please come and talk to us if anything is bothering you... Anything.

"We all know we can never replace your parents... or grandmother (looking at Aiden)... or, at least one sister (looking sadly at Steve), but guys we will help in any way we can.

"This is a really depressing topic for breakfast, and I'm sorry, but if you ever want to visit their graves... or have a small remembrance for them, or have pictures or things you'd like to frame, or anything else, we promise you, we'll do everything we can to help," and he walks over with red eyes and hugs Aiden, as do all the adults and boys, which makes Aiden cry more... and he is certainly not the only one with tears, but, somehow he seems a little less sad.

After everybody kinda composes themselves, Kevin says, "Aiden, we're very sorry about your grandmother too. And guys, what Ken said, we know we can never replace any of your loved ones, but Ken's right. We love all you guys. Please talk to us about anything that's bothering you... And, Aiden, please cook more... anytime! These are amazing! Thank YOU! (laughs are heard)

"And guys, all of you, you are NOT invading our home or family. We totally consider you part of this crazy home and family. We are all very happy that you're all here... and we're all delighted that we're going to be neighbors... We promise."

Sam can't resist, and says with a really big smile, "Yeah, especially those four," pointing to Luke, Steve and Michael and Corey, who are all sitting at the same table with Aiden, which gets a pretty nervous laugh.

Fortunately nobody else ventures an opinion.... The four do laugh, kinda, although the guilty parties are all pretty red at being singled out. The dads exchange a somewhat concerned look, wondering if they're going to have a big jealousy problem.

But despite four red faces, breakfast is a big hit with everybody.

As everybody finishes they stop by to hug Aiden again, and tell him they're sorry about his grandmother. All of these boys know what it's like to lose somebody, or multiple somebodies, you love. They all thank Aiden for his biscuits and tell him how great they are... and ask him to cook often.

The boys take their plates and things to the dishwasher and disappear into the house. The dads all go thank Aiden and assure him that he can cook anytime he wants.

Aiden plus the four boyfriends go in to finish the clean up and to put away leftovers. They use the remaining biscuits and ham to make ham biscuits for a snack later if anybody wants them.

Michael says he and Corey are going to put up the volleyball net he and Luke bought yesterday over the pool for the boys. Luke asks if they need help, but they say they can get it by themselves... they're hoping they'll invite Aiden to hang out with them... he needs to get more comfortable with all the boys.

Luke and Steve do invite Aiden to go to their room with them, saying they're going to play with their iPads a while. Aiden, with a big smile, says he'd like that. He's still a little unsure what's going on with these four, but he likes them all. He'd really like to ask them but he can't figure out how.

As they are heading to their room, most of the other boys pass them on their way to the pool... they invite the three to go with them, but they say they'll come out later.

Aiden runs to his room and grabs his iPad. He has on clothes, and doesn't know if the other two will put on clothes or not... he doubts it. He goes next door to their room to find them sitting naked on the bed.

He quickly strips, and Luke and Steve move over leaving him a place between them. They had decided they want to make him feel more welcome than just having him sit off by himself...

They spend some time doing things on their iPads and talking... and Aiden is very happy to be with them. His life, like all the boys, has changed drastically, but he feels much better about how things are going with his new family and unofficial brothers...

He eventually broaches the subject of these four. He timidly asks, "Can I ask... uh... are you guys still boyfriends?"

Luke and Steve look at each other. They know they're not going to lie to him, but don't have a clue what to say. Especially after Michael said that he and Corey could be in big trouble if anybody found out what they had done with them.

They sit and stare at each other for a while, Aiden starts to apologize... thinking he screwed up by asking. Luke reaches over and puts his arm around Aiden's shoulder and says,

"Aiden... It's not a problem... we're just trying to figure out how to explain. But, yeah, we're totally still boyfriends... and will be forever. But, we also figured out that we really love Michael and Corey too."

Aiden turns lots of shades of red but asks anyway, "Was it because of those kisses? They were really hot!"

Luke and Steve laugh, and Steve says,

"Yeah that's what started it. And you're right... at first it was just really hot... and embarrassing. But after kissing Corey, I realized that I really care for him a lot... Michael too.

"Luke and I were both feeling guilty... how could we care for Corey and Michael so much if we love each other totally. We were sitting by the pool talking and crying because we felt guilty because we liked kissing them so much, but we talked about it a lot and decided that we can love each other and them too, even though we both said earlier we could never share each other."

Luke says, "Aiden I love Steve with my whole heart. We will always be together, unless he leaves me. I will never leave him. But... when I kissed Michael, it's like something... changed in me. I know that our dads and uhh... your dads too, love Michael and Corey. I never understood how they can do that. How can they say they totally love each other, and then sleep with Michael and say they love him too... Same for your dads and Corey. I didn't understand it."

Luke continues, "But after that kiss, I couldn't stop thinking about how I feel about Michael... I love him. I really do. But instead of making me love Steve less, it makes me love him even more... somehow. I've spent more time with Michael than Corey, but we really do love both of them."

Steve's eyes get a little red, hearing what Luke said... He adds, "Yeah, me too Aiden. I do love Corey, and Michael, although Michael and I haven't... spent as much time with just the two of us as I have with Corey. I don't understand it either Aiden, but I know what I feel.

"Our dads were really worried we'd get jealous if we saw each other kiss them... and stuff but... we didn't. I don't know how or why, but it's amazing to watch Luke and Michael kiss... and stuff. It honestly makes me so happy to see how much they love each other. It's crazy."

Seeing his red eyes, Luke leans over and kisses Steve, which traps Aiden in between them for a moment, which makes him kinda giggle, and on the way back he gives Aiden a sweet kiss on his cheek.

Aiden, sitting there with saucer eyes just kinda stares at both of them.

Luke decides to pry a little with Aiden, "Aiden, you're really cute and a great guy. Do you have a boyfriend?"

Aiden, blushing a lot, says, "No... I wish I did."

Luke asks, "You sleep with Nick... do you guys mess around?"

Aiden looks seriously like he's going to pass out but manages to say, "A little... but I don't think want to be boyfriends."

Luke, not giving up, asks "Any other boys around here you think are cute?"

Aiden says, "Well... you two are really cute. Kurt and Sam too, but they're boyfriends, and I think Daniel and Diego are... really cute," blushing big and acting like immediately regrets saying it.

Steve gives Luke an evil smile, and asks Aiden, "Can I kiss you?"

At this point, Aiden is just barely breathing... He's sitting here naked between two boys he finds extremely cute... and they want to kiss him, so he just kinda manages to nod.

Steve looks at Luke, who has a big smile and doesn't seem to mind at all. He leans over and kisses Aiden chastely, and then leans back to see if he passed out. He did not, and has a really big smile... so, Steve leans back in and really kisses him this time... seriously kisses... and Aiden definitely kisses back.

He pulls back and looks at Aiden, who's definitely boned up now.

He smiles at Aiden, and then smiles and looks at Luke, who does the same thing. First a little chaste kiss on the lips... then, not getting any objections, leans forward and kisses the crap out of Aiden.

Just as they really get into the kiss, Michael and Corey walk thru the open door. They both laugh, which causes the boys to look up. Michael says, "Already cheating on us, huh? Can't leave you two alone for a minute, can we?"

Luke and Steve panic... are they mad at them? Shit!

But, fortunately, Michael and Corey both break out laughing... as do the three boys... eventually.

Luke starts to explain, but Michael just says, "No problem guys. Aiden's very cute. I don't blame you... Steve, what about you?"

Luke, being Luke, says, "He already kissed him," which causes Steve to blush, and give Luke a dirty look... and Michael and Corey to laugh.

Corey and Michael come over, sit on the bed so they can lean over and kiss Luke and Steve, not chaste, but not the hottest kiss ever.

They both lean over and give Aiden a quick chaste little kiss on his lips, which really does make him look like he's going to pass out. Both think they wouldn't mind really kissing him too, but they've already complicated things enough with their kisses.

Although, truth be told, Michael and Corey have gotten over ALMOST all their regrets on that one... well, except for the dads still being kinda pissed.

About that time Daniel and Diego come in, looking confused about the five naked people sitting on the bed, but they decide not to ask. Maybe later.

They also don't look particularly happy that Aiden is sitting there naked between Luke and Steve, with a boner... which only Luke seems to notice.

Anyway, they had come to see if the boys want to play in the pool with the new volleyball net Michael and Corey had put up... they think it sounds like fun, and they're tired of playing with their iPads, so they all say yes.

Daniel and Diego grab Aiden's naked hand and drag him with them, leaving the others just sitting with their mouths open. They kinda chuckle at Daniel and Diego for grabbing Aiden.

Luke and Steve get up and pull Michael and Corey up with them and all head for the pool holding hands.

They all go and have a rousing volleyball game with their brothers... everybody has a great time.

Michael and Corey had told the dads that they're not sleeping with Luke and Steve tonight, so they left it up to the dads what they want to do tonight.

Honestly the four dads have pretty completely gotten over the very little bit of awkwardness they had with each other about sex, and they all definitely do want to have sex together with Michael and Corey... soon. So as of now, that's the plan. They figure at this point the boys won't even be really shocked...

But for now the dads all come out naked to join the volleyball fun.

They play and chase balls around the yard until they're pretty much worn out. The dads get out before anybody else and head for the margarita machine... followed not long after by Michael and Corey.

They go and sit in the outdoor seating area, under the misting system, and enjoy their margaritas... and their families. Just sitting and watching all of them playing together, just like brothers.

Luke and Steve see them sitting and talking. They decide to let them have some time together, since they know the dads aren't happy about losing Michael and Corey.

They're also really looking forward to spending the night together so they can reconnect and talk... and have sex. Everything that they've done with Michael and Corey has been amazing, but they also miss just being with each other.

Luke notices that Daniel and Diego drug Aiden away from the other boys in the pool and are having a chat with him, which makes him smile big.

The Chat

After dragging Aiden away from the other boys, Daniel and Diego just stand and look at each other... neither having a clue where to start.

Diego figures he's going to have to be the one to talk, because of his problem with Kurt rubbing suntan lotion on Daniel the first day. He figures Aiden will be afraid to even consider anything with them because of that.

After standing and being afraid to say anything for a while, he knows he's gotta say something... and since he doesn't have a clue where to start, and he's nervous as crap...

He ends up blurting out, "Aiden, we both think you're really cute... and we'd like to get to know you better... a lot better... and were wondering if you'd... maybe... like to sleep with us tonight... but please don't hate us... and if you don't want to it's fine... sorry..."

Aiden's standing and listening and blushing redder than anybody has ever seen him. Daniel and Diego are sure he hates them both.

He turns to make sure the other boys can't see and then reaches down and takes hold of their dicks and almost whispers, "I like you guys too... a lot... uhhh... I'd really like that... uhh... is this ok?"

They both need a minute to actually realize that he said what he said, and they're both really excited that he's holding their dicks... and they both want to kiss the hell out of him, but they're all worried about how much grief their brothers will give them... and their dads... although they know the dads don't seem to have a problem with Luke and Steve... so they do what they figure Luke or Steve would...

They finally just smile really, really big and say, "Yeah... it's great!" and they both reach down and take hold of him.

Aiden has the biggest smile he's had in a while, and manages to say, "Yeah... it is great... I just told Luke and Steve earlier that you're both really cute... (blushing a lot more) I'd like to kiss you... but maybe later... I'm not sure what my brothers will think."

So, with smiles bigger than their hardons... they spend some time playing grab ass... and talking, and deciding that they all three are really happy at this turn of events.

Luke, watching from the other side of the pool, smiles really big. So big in fact that Steve turns to see what he's smiling about... and then it's a tossup of which of them is smiling bigger.

Everybody else seems oblivious.

About 11AM Corey and Michael get up and go inside, which Luke and Steve see. When they don't come back quickly, they figure they're going to start lunch.

They decide to help, and just in case they ask Aiden if he wants to help too. He does... and asks Daniel and Diego if they want to help... they do too, so the five of them go to find Michael and Corey.

After Michael and Corey get over their surprise that Aiden is dragging Daniel and Diego with him, they get a big smile too...

And since all the boys are already outside, and mostly in the pool, they all decide a quick simple lunch with sandwiches, potato salad and stuff will be easy.

With Aiden, Daniel and Diego's help it doesn't take long at all, and soon have everything set out on the outside counter, which the boys quickly discover.

They do the usual sit and talk and eat... and everybody seems happy.

After lunch, Aiden timidly asks Corey and Michael if he can bake some bread for dinner, which of course they're all in favor of.... Michael says they're having spaghetti and salad, which will be perfect for fresh baked bread.

Aiden gets a big smile and asks if they have a bread machine, and Michael says yes, and goes to pull it off a pantry shelf.

Aiden explains that he won't use it to bake the bread, but it's easier to let the machine mix the dough. Michael goes over to a cabinet and gets the bread machine for Aiden.

Dinner

Aiden asks about when dinner is going to happen so he can time his bread baking to finish in time. He decides it'll take long enough, so he goes ahead and starts.

The first thing he does is set the oven temperature so it's warm enough to let the bread rise.

Daniel and Diego aren't about to let him out of their site, so they hang around to help. They ask Aiden what he needs and then they start helping round things up, chatting the entire time.

Michael, Corey, Luke and Steve just stand watch and smile at the three of them.

Aiden starts getting the bread machine ready to mix the dough.

The foursome, at Luke's suggestion, decides to leave the kitchen and let them be alone to... talk.

Aiden, Daniel and Diego are chatting constantly about things, waiting around and getting other things ready while the bread machine is mixing away.

As soon as everybody else is out of the kitchen, the three of them kiss nervously for the first time. Chastely at first, but not for long... looking around the whole time, making sure they don't get caught by their dads... or Michael or Corey.

Maybe they're all channeling Luke and Steve.

If the dads knew, they might have some concerns over jealousy or something among the three, but at least at the moment they're not trying to steal Michael and Corey away from them, so the three figure they'd probably be all for it.

They get the dough in the oven, set a timer and then head to Daniel and Diego's room for a bit, giving it enough time to rise. And of course as soon as they get in they close the door and start nervously kissing again... making it eventually over to the bed.

Nobody objects, and they use this time alone to make their intentions perfectly clear. Starting with Aiden practicing some of the things him and Nick have been working on... for which Aiden, at the moment, is very grateful that they did. It doesn't take Daniel and Diego long to practice some on Aiden.

They don't get too carried away, it is after all late afternoon and dads and brothers are always somewhere nearby, but they get pretty intimately acquainted with each other.

The timer on his phone goes off and they head back to the kitchen. Aiden takes the dough out, puts some flour on the counter and punches it down, which gets quite a few quizzical looks from the other boys who wander by, wondering why he's beating the hell out of the dough. They figure he's still having a really bad day.

Daniel and Diego know why Aiden's punching the crap out of the dough... and just smile at the other boys' reactions. Turns out they helped their mom cook a lot too, including helping her bake, and they both enjoyed it and know their way around a kitchen too.

He puts it back in to rise again. While they're waiting, they all go back to Daniel and Diego's room to 'talk' some more.

Aiden eventually decides he's given the dough enough time to rise the second time, and they all head back to the kitchen... as soon as they can get their hardons to go down a bit.

Aiden takes it out and heats the oven to bake... The new threesome find plenty to do until it's time to take the bread out of the oven.

Aiden's really impressed with the dads. They have buttermilk for biscuits, fresh garlic for garlic bread... He figured he'd end up not having everything he needed, but he did.

They even had dry yeast to use in the bread, so it has a wonderful smell while it's rising and cooking, which causes several boys to come to find out what's going on. They're surprised and impressed to find Aiden, Daniel and Diego baking away. And the bread smells great.

They clean and put everything they used away, which impresses the crap out of the adults too.

And his bread is a tremendous hit with... well, everybody. There wasn't even a crumb left.

And it gives a lot of them, brothers and otherwise, an entirely different opinion of Aiden, Daniel and Diego... and it's a good one.

They all sit and enjoy a good dinner, and Aiden gets lots of compliments on the bread. The dads are all especially impressed.

They all sit and chat until they're done, then the boys all scatter, back to the pool, or just outside to the sitting area.

Eagle eye Luke notices that Aiden, Daniel and Diego stay pretty close to each other, as do Kurt, Sam and Nick. He thinks he's seeing a pattern here.

Luke had discovered when he painted the picture of Steve sitting under their favorite tree, that he has an amazing memory for things he sees. He's apparently quicker than the others at noticing things too... like the two threesomes sticking close to each other.

All eight of the boys end up in the pool just talking and playing with each other, spending some time just getting to know each other better. The dads just sit and watch amazed at how well they all get along.

Before splitting up for the evening, Michael and Corey ask Luke and Steve to go with them to Michael's room, where they spend some time kissing.

Luke and Steve had already mentioned that they want to sleep together tonight, and Michael and Corey know they need to mend some fences with some dads.

So after enough kissing to make everybody hard, they part company, and Steve and Luke head for their room. Michael and Corey go to find the dads.

Dads' Proposal

All four walk out to find all four dads sitting in the living room, naked, talking and smiling. All of the other boys are elsewhere... fortunately.

They stop and sit and chat for a while, but before they can get away, Ken says, "Guys, can you all sit for a moment... We need to ask Corey something that may affect both of you."

All four give each other a very worried look... The dads see this and Ken laughs and says, "Guys... we're not shooting him. Relax."

They all four sit, but nobody is relaxed...

Ken continues, "Guys, with all of us and our stuff in the car coming back, we couldn't bring everything we need from home. Corey, we want to ask if maybe you'll drive down tomorrow to get some more things.

"We're trying to figure out how all four of you can go, but the boys will lynch us if they have to eat our cooking very long (motioning to the four dads). And, a lot of what we need is clothes, so if four of you go, there won't be as much room in the back for clothes and stuff."

Ken continues, "Alex has asked that you take the Volvo for safety," Steve looks at Alex and smiles and mouths 'thank you', to which Alex nods and smiles.

Ken adds, "We were thinking you could go down and back tomorrow after breakfast, or... maybe, you might want to spend a night or two... if you get lucky."

Corey, confused, says, "Of course I'll go. I'm not sure what you mean about 'getting lucky', but I'll just drive down and back. It's no problem."

Ken continues with a smile, "We're wondering if maybe somebody might want to go with you... (looking at Steve) and you might want to spend a night or two so you can show him a little bit of LA."

Corey looks at Steve, who's looking confused... He suddenly 'gets it'. He gets this really excited look, realizing they're asking if he wants to go with Corey, and then he immediately feels totally guilty about Luke... and ashamed for being so excited. He looks at Luke and blushes for thinking what he was thinking...

Luke sees the excitement completely fade from his face and his shoulders drop... and realizes why. His first impulse is to be jealous that Steve would even want to go with just Corey, but then he immediately feels guilty too.

They sit and look at each other for a few seconds... Luke says, "Steve, if you want to go, I think you should... actually, lover, I think it's a great idea... There are three conditions."

Which causes everybody to look at him like he's crazy... he's just not sure if it's because of the conditions, or because he said Steve should go.

Steve, looking at all the faces, especially Corey's, finally says to Luke, "Luke if it's a problem... I'll just stay here... I'm honestly... not sure how I would feel if it was just you and Michael... I hope... I think... it would be fine... but... uhh... what conditions?"

Luke, with a big smile, says, "First, you both have to promise you'll be safe... I want both of you both back in one piece... Be careful and don't get shot."

Which gets a few nervous laughs.
