This is a `Coming of Age' story... It wasn't supposed to include a lot of sex, but the boys seem to have their own ideas. Sorry?

16 JUNE

Saturday Morning

The next morning comes with such relief. Well, technically, it `came' the previous night, but it seems to have carried over. We wake up refreshed and ready to tackle the day. We hope.

We're all sufficiently happy about how the first meeting went that we're upbeat for a change. For weeks, if not months, we've done nothing but DREAD this whole trip. And that's STUPID! We want this. We want these boys to be our sons and brothers... more than anything. But sometimes it's damn hard to remember what the objective really is.

After having breakfast at the hotel, we get ready and leave to see Mr. Frank. We had already explained what we hope to do, and we're really hoping it will work out. We get to Mr. Frank's office and he waves us right in.

Since we're meeting the boys at 10AM, we don't want to arrive too early. We left the hotel a little early, we had one quick stop to make. A little after 9:30 AM we're all sitting with Mr. Frank.

Mr. Frank welcomes us, "Good morning guys. I hope you slept well. The first day meeting can take a toll on new parents," Mr. Frank says.

"I'm very happy, and a little surprised at your new request, but I don't think it'll be a problem. We've already done the entire background check, financial check, reference check, house check, number of bedrooms check, etc. You've already been approved to adopt up to four kids.

"I put in a call to the local head of Child Services and had a brief chat with the director, Mr. Kleindienst. He's very aware of the whole situation. He doesn't see any problem, assuming everybody agrees. So, with that, I think you have a plan. If anyone raises any issues, I'll certainly let you know, but I think we can deal with it."

Kevin is finding it easier to get his thoughts together today, "Thank you. We have always thought that we would eventually adopt at least three boys.... One more isn't a make or break deal, and it's way more important to keep those boys together... if at all possible. Fortunately we have enough empty bedrooms... none extra, but enough. And, after seeing those boys together, we have to do something."

Ok, I am NOT going to cry... again. But damn it. This is hard.

"So, have you thought about how you're going to do this? Have you told Luke and Steve yet?" Mr. Frank wants to know.

"No, not yet. We only... uhhhh... discussed this subject last night. I think we realized pretty quickly how close the boys are, and that we'd like to consider adopting Diego and Daniel... if we can... It certainly wouldn't be fair to spring this on Luke and Steve. They really seem to enjoy being with each other, but we want to be sure they're more than just OK with this," I say, trying to get my mouth connected to my brain.

"We really want to see how the boys feel after yesterday. It was pretty stressful for them, we know."

Mr. Frank chuckles and says, "Yeah, it always is. I wish we could come up with some way to make it easier. I do think meeting in the Dining Hall is probably less stressful for the boys than here, in the office. Guys I know these boys. They hang out with each other a lot. They are really great boys, all four of them. I don't think you, or they, will have any regrets."

Alex says a little emotionally, "We agree, Mr. Frank. We were really impressed with the boys. Even that they didn't want to skip out on their chores this morning. We want to see if the boys came up with anything they really want to do today. If not, we're in big trouble. Probably have lunch somewhere, and see what else they'd like to do. We want to find a way to ask them how they're feeling about things. We thought we'd talk to them at some point, maybe back here later if we can use the Dining Hall again. We might have an opportunity while we're out, but don't really want to interfere with their time."

"I think that's a good idea. And if I know these boys, they'll probably bring it up before you do. They're usually not shy... especially Luke," he says with a very fond smile and chuckle... "Yesterday, the first time they met you, is probably the exception. Don't think that's normal," he says with a chuckle.

"Yeah, but I hate feeling like we're `judging' them, or something."

"Unfortunately it's impossible to avoid. You obviously need to be sure you and the boys can get along. You'll be living with each other for a very long time, hopefully. And, trust me. They're judging you, too."

"That's only fair," I say. "Do you know much about the boat trip on the lake? From the website, we thought that might be a way to both spend the day with the boys and see how we all get along."

"Definitely, you can take a 2 or 4 hour trip on the lake. I think it's entertaining enough to keep them happy. I think right now just spending time together is the best plan."

Alex asks, "Great, we're going to meet them in the Dining Hall about 10AM. They said that would give them time to do their chores and eat breakfast. Do we need to sign anything to take the boys for the day?"

"Yes, I have the form here, with all the boys listed. One of you can sign here and it's a done deal. Please fill in the license plate of your vehicle. I'll give you a copy in case anybody asks why they're with you. Please have them back by about 6PM for dinner. If you decide to stay out later... for dinner or something, please let me know... you have my cell phone number. I'll put together the background information on Diego and Daniel for you by tomorrow morning."

"I also have the application form for you to adopt Diego and Daniel. Sign here (indicating where to sign) on the adoption application. We already had all your information, so we transferred it to this form." Mr. Frank says.

Alex says, as he's signing the form, "Yes, thank you. Any sage advice on how to approach the subject with the boys?"

"From what I've seen, I think you'll do fine. You know... I've seen a lot of these meetings take place... The one yesterday was `one of a kind'... I'm sure I've never seen a new dad make 4 boys cry, and still get an amazing hug!"

I feel like my face is one fire, "Oh, gawd. I'm so sorry... I apologized yesterday to the boys and I'll apologize again today. It was just so stressful and the boys looked terrified. I felt so bad for them."

Smiling, Mr. Frank says, "Kevin, I talked to all the boys before they went back to their rooms last night. Trust me. They're still very nervous, but they're also very happy... mostly. (chuckling) At least Luke and Steve. The only two that aren't very happy right now are Diego and Daniel. They're trying to be happy for Luke and Steve, but their own feelings are getting in the way a little right now. I think your bit of news will fix that!"

"Thank you. That means a lot to us, Mr. Frank."

Laughing he says, "Not a problem. Now, I imagine the boys are waiting. If you need anything, please call. And have a great day with them. Hang on and I'll make you copies of these."

"Thank you Mr. Frank, very much. I'm looking at this as getting a couple incredible little brothers," Michael says... and I'm really glad to see him feel good enough about this to speak up.

We start walking over to the dining hall... it's a LOT easier going today than yesterday.

Day 2, Saturday

Earlier in the Dining Hall

The four boys do their chores and then meet for breakfast. Luke and Steve are already there and are about half finished when Daniel and Diego come in and sit down.

The first one to address the (maybe) gay elephant in the room is, unsurprisingly, Luke. As soon as Diego and Daniel sit down, the first thing out of his mouth is, "So... What you said last night. Really?"

Diego and Daniel look into each other's eyes... looking like they're deciding whether to answer or run. Finally, with a look of total resignation, "Yeah, really."

"Really? Guys. Why didn't you say something? You know we don't care... Hell, we're happy you're gay!" says Luke, a little louder than D+D are happy about.

"Guys, it's not you. We're just afraid of people finding out. Especially at school. Especially being twins and all. But, after our talk last night and, Steve, what you found out about Palm Springs. You know. It's time to admit it, at least to you guys. Please don't tell anyone else yet. Please let us think about this before anybody else finds out," Daniel says, almost pleading.

Luke can't resist asking "So, do you intend to tell the `dads'?"

Neither of the boys, even staring intently and lovingly in each other's eyes, can get their mouths to cooperate to say `yes' or 'no'.

Steve , who's sitting across from Daniel, puts out his hand on top of Daniel's and pats it. "Guys, we get it. We did it before you, and we were pretty scared, but the whole hiding thing was killing us. We were boyfriends but we couldn't tell... anybody... we had to make sure we never even touched each other at school. It was just so hard. We didn't know how it was going to go. The people here have all been great. I seriously don't think the `dads' are going to care... actually, I think they'll be happy. They won't have to deal with you dragging home girlfriends," which at least earns a few laughs.

"You know they're not going to adopt us. We were thinking that maybe we should stay here today. We don't think you're going to need us around anymore, and they might really only want to spend time with you", Diego says pretty dejected.

"NO! Guys, I don't have a clue what they're thinking. None of us do. But if there's any chance at all... any... we all have to go for it. Please? We really want you to go with us. We do need you around. We really WANT you to be our brothers. Please? Let's all go. Let's have a great day with them. We even talked about calling them `dad'... or `dads'... or `dads + 1' or `dads + Michael'... we don't know what we should call them either," Steve adds.

"I wish, but I think you're dreaming. But, really? You WANT us to be your brothers?" Diego says, with his eyes a little red.

"YES! More than anything... well... other than all of us being adopted and having a family again, but we want you both to be part of OUR family. If they will," says Luke also with a few tears threatening to fall.

They kinda don't know what to say at that point, and have a pause in conversation long enough for D&D to finish stuffing their faces... just as the `dads + Michael' walk thru the front door. Diego and Daniel are facing the door again and clear their throats and Daniel says, "Guys, they're here. Are you ready?"

"Are YOU?" says Luke with absolutely no hesitation... and an evil smile.

Fortunately they're saved from answering, as the `dads + Michael' see them and walk up to the table.

"Hi guys. How are you this morning? Oh no, have you been crying? What's wrong?" Kevin says when looking at the boys, rubbing Luke briefly on the shoulder, as he's sitting down next to him.

"We're good... It's just hard seeing Luke and Steve leave..." Diego said, obviously sounding pretty down.

I had already decided that Luke is going to be the one who really doesn't beat around the bush. He doesn't disappoint.

Luke starts with, "We talked a long time last night... Steve even looked up some stuff on Palm Springs... and... wow.... it sounds great. Sounds like being gay won't be a problem there. We even saw that school bands march in the Gay Pride Parade. We're really excited about living there... But, Uhhh... we don't really know what to call you. We were thinking about asking. You may not be ready for us to call you `dads' yet. And there are two of you, so that's going to be confusing. We thought about `dads+1' or `dads+Michael' or... but unless you're going to adopt Diego and Daniel too, that won't work for them... uhhh... ARE you going to adopt our brothers? Please?" as more tears were threatening to fall.

As soon as the words leave his mouth, almost everybody has a stricken look on their faces.

I have tears in my eyes... in addition to that they just proposed calling us `dads'. That isn't missed by Alex or Michael either. Daniel and Diego look like they're both gonna wet themselves. Or run away. And nobody knows what to say. We `dads+1' just kinda look at each other.

I know we said we would leave this until tomorrow, but we can't just ignore this now. And, as nerve-wracking as it is, I think this might be a great opportunity. So... I think quickly how to do this.

We don't want to insult Luke and Steve by assuming they're interested in having brothers... even if he did just say `please'... we still need to ask. Will they be jealous if we even ask? We can't easily ask Diego and Daniel to let us talk privately with Luke and Steve... that would surely hurt their feelings. We can't just ignore the question. So... fuck... let's wing it.

"Actually Luke, THAT is a GREAT question! Thank you for asking.", which gets a nice blush out of Luke as I gently rub his shoulder. "How about this guys? I could use something to drink before we get started. Diego and Daniel, could you maybe grab all of us a bottle of cold water when you take the trays back... do you need money?" I asked.

"No, uhhh... they don't charge for stuff here... We're done eating... we'll be right back. We'll take your trays too," Diego says to Luke and Steve... thankfully... I was trying to separate them. Wish I'd thought of that.

And... before they get away... "And Guys. Maybe we can sit where we did yesterday and talk for just a few minutes. How's that?"

"Uhhhh... great. We'll grab the water and meet you there," they say looking even more nervous than yesterday.

"Thanks guys."

As soon as they run off for the water, I look at Luke and Steve, who are starting to get up to move.

"Guys, wait. Can I ask you a quick question? Sorry to spring this on you with no notice. But - Luke - it's YOUR fault," I say chuckling, while looking Luke lovingly, but directly, in the eyes... earning me an embarrassed look and a GREAT BLUSH.

"Guys, we were going to wait until tomorrow to try to ask you, but how do you guys HONESTLY feel about having Daniel and Diego as your brothers? Be honest. PLEASE?"

I have never seen a better mixture of shock, surprise, joy... all at once..."Are you serious? Really? YES, YES, YES... We were really trying to figure out how to get you to ask them," Luke stutters while a few tears appears in both their eyes and looking for the world like he's ready to tackle us... all... while I'm holding my finger to my mouth and quietly hissing "Shhhhhhh".

"OK, great. We really want to ask them and are really glad you're both OK with this. Really. We didn't want to hurt your feelings by asking them unless you're REALLY ok with this. Here's the deal... we would like YOU guys to ask them. We want you to ask them if they'll be your brothers... We think it'll mean a lot more coming from you."

Kinda shocked, Steve offers, "Uhhh... Dads... you would NEVER hurt our feelings by asking Daniel and Diego... but... Really? You want us to ask? Uhhhh... Really?"

"Yep, absolutely... if you don't mind. How about we go sit over there, where we were yesterday, and when they get back, you ask them. Let's surprise them. Don't look guilty," while smiling at them being so happy.

"Oh... uhhh... dads... they are going to be so happy... oh wow... OK... I gotta not cry. Let's go," and this from Luke while using his sleeve to wipe his eyes.

And we do. We make it to one of the sofas, not the beanbags for us this time, about 10 seconds before Diego and Daniel, who sit on the other sofa after handing us all water. I'm sure we all look guilty, but D+D don't say anything about it.

Steve and Luke, actually sitting on two of the beanbags, kinda stare at each other for a couple seconds, trying to figure out who is going to say what... They kinda smile at each other and do that `telepathy thing' and Luke nods to Steve, and they both get up and wedge themselves on the sofa, on either side of Diego and Daniel... who immediately look suspicious. Steve starts, taking Daniel's hand and looking him in the eyes. Luke does the same with Diego.

Luke stutters out, "Uhhh... Guys... dads (there it is again) want us to ask you a question. Uhhh... Steve."

Steve, after looking pretty happily at us, turns back and says, "Guys, dads and Michael and Luke and I want to ask you... will you... uhhh... be our brothers?" he says just as tears appear in his and Luke's eyes.

I had no idea Luke would be that emotional. I had him pegged as being the most self-confident of all the boys... maybe even a little `cocky'.

Diego and Daniel sit with open mouths... blink a few time... look each other in the eyes as tears start to appear... turning to look at us, Diego asks, "Really? Please don't joke about that. Really?"

A little embarrassed that they would even think we were joking... I hold up the `Application for Adoption' that Mr. Frank had filled out and given to us and say softly, "Guys, we would never ever joke about that, but Yep. Really! It's OFFICIAL. We're asking. Will ALL FOUR of you PLEASE let us be your dads... and big brother? Please?"

For little guys they can make a really loud "YESSSSS!," right before all four dissolve into tears and hugs... And then they ALL FOUR mob all of us. None of which is missed by the other people in the dining hall, including JoAnne and Mr. Frank who had come in a little earlier... with the damn biggest smile on his face I think I've ever seen. I think some people figure it out and are clapping, along with some whispering. I guess others trying to find out what was going on.

Lots of red, happy faces. And big smiles. And tears.

After a little time for everybody to calm down and recover, and after a few others come over to figure out what's happening, and then to congratulate all four of them, we just sit and hug for quite a while.

I explain that we don't have final permission yet, but that we will do EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to be able to adopt both of them, along with Luke and Steve. I tell them that we had talked to Mr. Frank the previous night, who by then had congratulated them too.

Mr. Frank explains that we had asked him about it last night and even though he doesn't see any problem, it isn't TOTALLY approved yet... and something MIGHT go wrong... but he thinks it'll be ok.

Before Mr. Frank leaves, I figure I really better ask them one question. I think it's important that he hear this.

"Diego and Daniel, I do want to ask you guys something. Are you sure you're going to be OK with having two gay dads... or, like Luke said, `2+1' gay dads," as I glance over at Michael, who has a huge `shit eating' grin on his face. And Luke has the most wonderful big smile on his face... Don't cry!

I try to continue, "The same question to you, Luke and Steve. We kinda figured, or hoped, you'll be OK with it, since you're already boyfriends, but we want to ask you anyway."

Luke being Luke, with a smile bigger than his face, "Yep. It's great!" which gets a good laugh from everybody, especially Mr. Frank.

Daniel and Diego are a little slower to say anything. Finally Diego says, "Dads," which brings forth a few tears... from them and us, "Like Luke said, we spent some time last night reading about Palm Springs. It sounds great... and... uhhh..." as Diego's voice trails off and he just looks over at Daniel for help.

It's Daniel who comes to the rescue, while hugging his twin. "Dads, we kinda admitted to Luke and Steve last night that... uhh... we're... kinda... gay too," he says looking like he's going to pass out.

The three of us just sit here stunned with eyes and mouths wide open. Didn't see that one coming... I get up and go over to both of them and get down on my knees, so I'm as close to eye-level as possible. I reach out to draw both of them forward. I hug those boys tighter than I think I've ever hugged anybody.

For a while...

And then, finally finding my voice, and being careful to look them directly in their eyes... "Well, wow. First, THANK YOU for telling us that guys. We know it isn't easy for you to say that... sons. Thank you for trusting us. Well, that's surprising... First, I want to be SURE you know... It would NOT make ANY difference to us. At all! I promise. We were going to ask you either way. Are you sure you're ok with all this?" motioning around to all of us... "It's kind of a LOT to deal with all at once."

Diego doesn't hesitate this time, "Yeah, it's great. We did tell Luke and Steve last night... We asked them not to tell anybody. But... our dads certainly need to know. It's ok... isn't it?" with tears in his eyes.

"Oh son, yes. All of you, SONS! Yes, it's totally, completely, 100% OK... gawd, we love you guys!" with more tears in my eyes... and a really big group hug that goes on for a while.

OK, I'm crying, but so is almost everybody else. We sit here for a few minutes just swapping casual hugs and shoulder rubs with each other.

I want to say a few things, especially with Mr. Frank listening, in case he has any reservations about us, so I start,

"FIRST, THANK YOU... All four of you... for agreeing to let us be your dads... We all know that we can never replace your parents... and sister... And, we won't ever try. We will help you remember them any way we can... But, we promise you... sons, we will be the best `dads' we can possibly be. We promise a couple other things too," as a few more tears escape.

"First, guys we promise we will NEVER EVER hurt you, we will love you for as long as we live, and we will NEVER lie to you. We might not always have the right answer, but we'll get you one.

"AND, last but not least, you can talk to us about ANYTHING... any time.

"We promise guys. And we're new at this whole `dad' thing, so I guarantee you that we're going to screw up, and if we do... please tell us. But sons we also promise that we will always sit down with you, and try our best to work out some way that everybody is happy. And if you'll meet us half-way, I promise you, we can all make this the best family on the whole planet... Please?"

Now I don't think there's a dry eye in the entire place... Michael's crying at least as much as the boys and I. The boys look shocked. They look at us and Mr. Frank and JoAnne. They look at each other... and then they just all kinda melt into all three of us.

It takes us all a while to recover, including Mr. Frank.

Once he can actually speak, Alex asks, "SO, OK. Sons... Wow... We have one more big question.... When do you want to... uhhh... go home?" I can hear the nervousness in his voice.

For such a simple question, I guess it releases a lot of emotion that's been stored up. Sadness at leaving Mr. Frank and JoAnne and their friends... Happiness at having a `home' again... They all just kinda sit and stare at each other for a while, with a few tears still running down their faces, and then, to nobody's surprise, Luke comes to the rescue.

"I can be ready in an hour!" Luke says with a HUGE GRIN.

After more hugs and everybody stops laughing, especially Mr. Frank and JoAnne... stuffier heads prevail.

"Uhh... that might be a little faster than we can do it... son. We have to arrange the plane home and all... and, Mr. Frank, how much paperwork and stuff is there still to do? What kind of schedule are we looking at?" Alex asked.

"Guys, today is Saturday. I think we can finish up what we need to do by Monday - but we have everything we need from you, and since you've already been completely approved to adopt up to four, I don't think that will delay you leaving.

"JoAnne and I will work on everything today and tomorrow, but we won't be able to send in the application for Diego and Daniel until the office reopens on Monday. Anything else we can do by email and phone. We'll double check everything while you're out today, in case we missed anything. We can deal with that tomorrow. So I think any time after tomorrow would be fine. SO, that gives you today and tomorrow here, and you can go home... any time after that. How's that?"

The boys look... well... not sure. They don't look overly happy, but they don't look unhappy either. Kinda stunned.

Alex is always the go-to person for travel and finance, so he takes over.

Looking at the boys and hugging the one closest to him, he says, "Ok guys... I'll be honest... I don't have a clue what you're all thinking right now. We probably won't be able to get the plane stuff arranged until Monday at the earliest anyway. We'll help with any packing and things you need to do. Any ideas?"

After some nervous looks at each other, again it's Luke, "Dads... and Michael. We're not used to being asked what we want to do. None of our parents really ever asked us about stuff like this... so... uhhhh..."

After a few chuckles, Alex continues,

"Ok guys, fair enough. Thank you for telling us that Luke. But guys, we'll warn you... we'll ask you a lot of the time what YOU want to do. We hope you're ok with that. Sons, we decided when we started this... we're going to treat you guys with respect and not like little kids...

"When we can, we'll always ask for your opinions on things... We'll help you decide any way we can. We'll always be here to help work things out and answer questions, but we're not very comfortable just always deciding everything and telling YOU what WE want to do... we're a family guys, and we very much want to know what you want.

"How about this... any time we say, `you decide', we hope you'll get together and work out what you want to do, and let us know... it's always good if you all agree... so `unanimous' is good... please... so `YOU DECIDE'. Are you ok going home Monday, or would you like to stay longer?"

After the shock wears off, they all chat for a bit and actually discuss it and nobody has any reason for not leaving Monday, so they all agree... we'll leave Monday.

That gets a big sigh of relief from the three of us, so the only thing left is what to do today and tomorrow? So Alex tries again,

"Ok, that only leaves... what would you like to do today with us?" with a big smile while motioning toward the four.

I don't think I've ever quite seen those looks on kids faces before... It was somewhere between wanting to run, wanting to yell `THANK YOU', or pass out.

This time it's Daniel who suggests, "We spent some time looking last night. We thought about maybe the amusement park, or riverboat for today. Why don't we do one of those today, and then we'll figure out something for tomorrow later?"

"Yeah... that sounds good. Daniel and I don't have a lot of stuff to pack anyway, mostly some clothes... but that sounds good," Diego says.

Luke chimes in, "Sounds great!"

This time Michael asks, "Ok. River Boat or Amusement Park? I'm driving, so I need to know where we're going. You know the drill... you decide."

Luke, being Luke, says kidding, I think, "I didn't know this was going to be so much work," which gets some laughs, especially from the adults.

Michael can't resist, "Well, if you insist, I'll decide, or we can all go drive around for a few hours then drop you off back here in time for lunch... how's that?"

Luke, looking shocked, finds his tongue, "NOOOO... Ok, River Boat. Everybody Agree?"

Three other `yeps' and head nods...

"Finally, took you long enough!", Michael adds, with a huge smile and laugh that's soon joined by all of us, even the boys. Michael even gets a big hug from Luke... a very long tight hug... and tears from both.

Now it's my turn, "Great, we have a plan. Now, this is the only time I'm ever going to say this to you... I promise... (they all laugh) Go brush you teeth. Pee. Get anything you want to take with you today... and meet us at the car, which is in the parking area...please. How's that?"

After hugging us all for a while, four laughing giggling happy boys go running for the door... patting each other's backs like they'd all just won the lottery... somebody yelling, "OK. See you in a few minutes... dads... and Michael," over his shoulder.

After they're gone, we speak with Mr. Frank and JoAnne for a few minutes.

"Wow guys, I'm so impressed... I think those boys are so lucky... I don't think they could ever have found a better `forever home'," JoAnne says with red eyes, to which Mr. Frank agrees...

I manage to say, "We're the lucky ones. I can't tell you how nervous we were about how all this was going to go. I just can't believe it's gone this well... I'm sure it won't be this easy all the time, but so far it's gone way better than I expected... Well, except for that first meeting... We'll have the boys back about 6PM... if we're running late we'll call."

"Thanks guys. Enjoy your new family... and have fun!"

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

About 10 minutes later in the parking area, four very excited boys appear... ready to go.

"Hi dads and Michael, we're ready... you got a different car from yesterday. I wondered how you were going to get all seven of us in that one," Steve says.

"Yeah, the one we had yesterday would only seat five... we kinda weren't planning on kidnapping four of you (laughs), so we did a quick change this morning. Steve, how did you know it was too small?" Michael asks.

"That model doesn't come with third-row seating.", Steve says.

Michael, with his hand over Steve's shoulder says, "Wish we had known that before we rented it. How did you know Steve?".

"I like cars... I was always trying to get my parents to get a bigger SUV..." looking sad and trailing off at the end... probably remembering the fatal car accident. "We all fit, but it didn't have a good safety record, and ours didn't have third row seating." Luke reaches over and rubs his back.

Michael's face lights up immediately and speaking to the `dads' and pointing at Steve he says, "Guys, I think we just figured out who's going to help us pick out a bigger car when we get back!"

The dads agree enthusiastically... not knowing much about cars.

Steve, appearing a little shocked says, "Uhhhh... Really? Neat!"

It's decided.
