32 - Palm Springs Family - Oh What Horny Fools These Mortals Be

There are two families at the heart of this story:

- Alex(35), Kevin(34), Michael(24) + Luke, Steve, Daniel and Diego

- Captain Ken(36), Jared(35), Corey(24) + Nick, Sam, Kurt, Aiden who were adopted several months earlier; Captain Ken was the pilot on the chartered plane that brought the boys back to Palm Springs. They're moving to Palm Springs, and will live next door.

- Javier(23) and Matteo(22), teachers of Spanish and tutors of other subjects, moving in with the family

The boys are listed oldest to youngest, but all are currently twelve. Luke, Nick and Steve will be the first three to turn 13... in the upcoming months.

Others will up show occasionally, but not be a major part of the story, like...

It's the only way to know who's reading and what they think of the story. I have no idea how many are reading this story. I had hoped to continue the story for quite a while, and to explore how the boys' lives continue to develop, but I'm not sure how much interest there is.

4JUL WED

Interlude

The first thing on every boys' mind every day is... food! And today is no exception.

Matteo again joins the breakfast crew, who have gotten everything pretty efficient and fast. By the time the boys starts appearing everything is ready and smells and looks great. Aiden's biscuits have become everybody's favorite for breakfast, and everybody's gotten pretty good at slathering them with their favorite thing... butter, honey, gravy, Nutella... Nobody complains.

After that, it's naked gym and naked big brother washing time. And all of the boys say they really do enjoy working with the weights... and certainly the washing. And more than a few comments are made about having sexy boyfriends with muscles. And a few sweaty armpits are licked.

No real escalations in the shower, although at least two boys decided to lick the head of the dick they were paying so much attention to... which made two big brothers weak in the knees... another long hard day apparently. They didn't even get peed on today... the boys were a little nervous about doing that again...

The four older brothers actually got together yesterday and chatted, after they all busted a nut, wondering if the boys all got together and decided to keep escalating things just a tiny bit every day until they get the older ones to finish things... but they decided that the boys couldn't possibly be that devious.

Could they?

And like the four older ones discussed, this time when the boys grabbed dicks to wash, sliding their hands up and down, a few of the older brothers decided to slide back... just a bit. It got some pretty big boy eyes, wondering what's going on. But no big breakthroughs... yet.

Once again, the dads' shower was used.

And Luke spent some more time trying to stare at the drawing on the wall without being noticed. He didn't succeed. Steve watched him very carefully... just a little heartbroken.

Special Deliveries

Before all the boys scatter to the pool, Alex wants to have a little chat.

They're all worried but gather around anyway. All the dads see their worried looks and dad Ken, of all people says, "Guys, we're not shooting anybody... don't look so worried," which you would think would get them to relax. It doesn't.

After laughing along with the other dads, Alex explains, "Guys, as you know... we have a couple deliveries today. The most exciting is... the piano is arriving today," which is all he gets out before the boys give a pretty good cheer.

The dads kinda look at each other, since only Sam has had lessons and only a couple boys have said they're interested in learning to play. They don't know why the others seem excited, but they'll take it.

They hope that all of them are interested, and truth be told, both Alex and Kevin regret that they never had a chance to learn to play. Kevin in fact took a few months of piano lessons as a kid, but he had no transportation to get there and back and it was too difficult to continue. He also got absolutely no support from this drunken father, including any offer to pay for the lessons, so he gave up.

Alex continues, "Guys, please be dressed by 10AM... we don't want to shock the delivery guys so much they drop the piano," which at least gets a few chuckles.

He continues, "And also guys, another delivery should show up just a little later... and it's a surprise," which of course makes every one of the boys ask, "What is it?" led by Luke of course.

The dads laugh and the boys don't get an answer... and they're shocked and not happy, but the eventually figure out that he's not kidding about not telling them. They pout a little, but not too much. The dads laugh, which doesn't help.

Pictures To The Past

The boys decided they DO want to send some pictures of them in Palm Springs to Mr. Frank and JoAnne at the Green Path Group Home, and Mr. Kleindienst, the DCFS director who helped with Daniel and Diego's adoption... and maybe theirs too.

They decide that each boy can pick what they want to send and they'll write a combined letter to send with them. And they decided they'd print them and send real pictures instead of email.

Steve volunteers to go to the dads and learn how to print them, although he's pretty sure he could figure it out by himself. And then he can print what the others want to send, without bothering the dads.

The office is off limits for a couple hours most mornings, as dad Alex locks himself in and does... something. But other than that, they have free access whenever they want it.

Dad Kevin goes with Steve and shows him how to print a sample picture, and then Steve prints another one, just to see how to load the paper and select which printer to use. Steve had printed a lot of Javier's drawing already, but those were just printed on the regular printer... not the photo ink jet printer.

Dad Kevin's degree is in chemistry, but his background ever since college is as a software developer, and he knows a lot more about computers than Alex does. He maintained all the computer software and equipment in Alex's CPA office in the early years. Only after the office got a lot bigger did they hire somebody to do that, although he's a contractor, not an actual employee... and becoming an increasingly annoying problem. But, that's a topic to deal with later.

Alex learns what he needs to know to get things done, but he's not all that comfortable with computer things he's not used to, although he's perfectly able to use the photo printer. They both think working with the boys on things like this will be a good way to give the boys a better idea of what they all did in their working lives.

The rest of the boys get on with their day, including taking pictures to send to the Group home... since they have to wear clothes for the deliveries anyway.

They all don their bathing suits, which they hate, and Aiden volunteers to take pictures of them in and around the pool. After they have pictures of just the four of them, they invite Ken and Jared's boys to get in the pool and take some others.

They have plenty already, but in most of them it's obvious that they're naked... although, after the dads' serious warning about not taking naked pictures, they pretty routinely delete anything that shows too much. They also pick some others that they think look nice, and shows what an amazing family they have.

They even get all of both families together and take a couple group shots. Thanks to the dads having a real digital camera and a tripod they even take a couple group photos of all sixteen of them.

It doesn't go without a few red eyes, standing and taking pictures of all SIXTEEN of them... their families. It's pretty special for boys who weren't sure they'd ever have a family again. Lots of hugs are had... and more than a few kisses, but everybody has a great fun time too.

They decide to change back to their shorts for the arrivals, since their suits are wet.

Writing the letter turned out to be harder than selecting the pictures. They sat and thought and revised multiple times before they're happy with the results.

The other four boys were asked if they want to send their own letter and pictures, but they all agree that they didn't have the same feelings or connection with the group home they were in.

Letter to the Past and Future

Various Boys' POV

This is the letter that we ended up with:

Dear Mr. Frank and JoAnne

We wanted to let you know we're thinking of both of you and all the boys there, and wanted to send you a few pictures of our new lives in Palm Springs, California. Like we said our last day with you, we will never be able to thank you enough for everything you did for us.

We've honestly never been happier in our lives, although we feel a little guilty for saying that. We all still miss our parents and sister a lot, and we'll never forget them... ever. But we're so happy with our dads, and Michael. Luke says he doesn't miss his 'sperm donor' at all! You know Luke, although he's probably right.

We've made some amazing new friends since being here. The other family in the pictures is Captain Ken Andrews and his family. He was the pilot on the plane our dads and Michael got to bring us home. They're buying the house next to ours, and until they can get in their new house they're staying with us. It's a little crowded, but we love them being here and think of them all as our unofficial dads and brothers and big brother, Corey. We wish they'd just stay here, but we know they want their own house too.

They brought us HOME. It's so amazing to say that.... All of us thought after what happened that we've never have a real home again, but we do... and an amazing family. Two amazing families. And without both of you, none of us four believe we would have.

We finally found out that Michael was dressed up the day we left because he was the flight attendant on our flight HOME. We're sending a picture of us in the plane. We were kinda scared to be honest, but don't tell our dads or Michael. The plane was amazing, but our dads told us it might be a long time before we get to do that again. Oh well... it was fun anyway.

Our dads and Michael are so amazing. Like Steve said that day, it really does feel like we've known them our entire lives... and were waiting on them somehow. We love them all so much and love being here with them more anything ever. They are amazing dads and big brother.

We're sending some pictures of us, but we hope they don't make the other boys feel bad that don't have a new home yet. We weren't going to send any pictures because of that, but our dads said you'd know if it was ok to show them the pictures. If you do, please tell all the boys that we knew there that we miss them, especially Yasha and Toby... and we really miss both of you. We talk about them and you a lot and wonder how many of them have found new homes. We hope all of them have. We'll include our new email addresses if any of them want to send us email... we'd love to hear from them and we'll write back.

One of the pictures of Steve is with Corey. They went to LA to get some things from their old house and spent a couple nights. They met two guys from Palm Springs who are going to be neighbors soon, who are in the picture with Steve. Corey took Steve to the beach and Universal Studios and a couple other places. He had a great time. Luke wanted to stay in Palm Springs, and had a great time with Michael and all his brothers. It was the first time Luke and Steve had been apart since they met, but they both had a great time and thought it was important to let each other do that.

When Michael, Luke, Daniel, Diego and Aiden, one of the other boys, went downtown they met Javier, who is finishing his teaching degree. He has a boyfriend, Matteo, and they're both in some of the pictures. Our dads talked to them about being our Spanish teachers, and they're going to help us with our other school work too. Matteo is also a teacher.

Our Spanish is getting better, but we've got a real long way to go. It's so neat living here. There's a big Mexican grocery store, and some of the people who work there don't speak much English.

Daniel, Diego and Aiden all like to cook and they're really good. They basically always fix breakfast. They cook better than Michael, but don't tell him. So we get to go to Cardenas, the grocery store, a lot... and we love it. We can say some simple things to people in Spanish now... and understand some of what the people there say to us, but not much yet. Diego and Daniel are great helping all of us with our Spanish too.

Daniel and Diego are having a great time. A family that our dads know has a son who speaks Spanish and one of his dads too, and they come over a lot to use the pool and dinner.

Our dads want us to thank you too, for everything you did for us and for helping them find us. We do too... so much. Thank You.

Thank you also for sending the letter to us. One of our other brothers, Sam, came up with a way to put it and a lot of pictures on the wall and it looks really good there.

Well, we guess that's enough for now.

We sent a similar letter with pictures, but not quite as personal, to Mr. Kleindienst. We all told him how much we enjoyed meeting him and thanked him for everything he did to help us be adopted by our dads, especially for Daniel and Diego.

We also told him that we hope he'll visit with his husband, and also how hot it already is . We told him it would be better after summer.

After we were finally happy with the letter, we printed a copy and asked all the dads+4 to look at it. They all said it was great, so we sent it and the pictures.

Special Delivery

Various Boys' POV

Dad Kevin asked all of us to help get stuff out of the sunroom, because we're getting the piano later today, which means we have to wear clothes until they're done... bummer.

We all help move a couple chairs and end tables to the guesthouse. Dad Ken and dad Jared said that's a good idea. The dads took some pictures of all the naked boys moving things out. Not sure who they can show them to.

We all had lunch, done today by Michael, Corey, and Javier... and of course Luke, although we think he was more interested in the cooks than what they're cooking. Matteo and Steve are still working on something in the office a lot.

Dad Kevin tells all of us at lunch that he has a surprise for us later... after dinner... and that NO, he's not going to tell us. Great, now we have to wait. We all decide to save our half margarita for during the surprise. We all think it means that Matteo is going to play the piano.

We all do what we normally do, mostly get in the pool and talk to each other. Although with the piano guys coming, we have to wear our swim suits. Javier is sitting outside talking to the dads. Matteo and Steve are off somewhere working on the iPad or something.

About 1PM the driveway sensor sounds. Some of us are excited about having a piano, although we all feel guilty making our dads spend more money on us.

All of us interested in piano lessons are looking forward to sitting close to Matteo for piano lessons... but we're afraid to ask if we're going to have to wear clothes... but our dads don't make us any other time... other than when company is around, so we're not too worried... yet.

Three guys come in and talk to all the dads about where to put everything, and have the dads sign some things. None of the piano movers are cute... dang it.

The movers go back outside and the we kinda peer out the window so we can watch what they're doing. The dads asked us to not get 'underfoot', whatever that means, so we figure we better stay inside and just watch.

When they take it out of the truck we're all surprised... it looks like one of those real fancy black pianos... Matteo comes to look and says it's a 'baby grand', although that seems like a stupid name for a piano. It doesn't look like a baby, but it looks really good. It's so black and shiny.

We're not quite sure yet how many of our brothers are interested in learning to play piano. Daniel and Sam both know they want to learn to play. We all think Diego will too if Daniel does. And if those two do, we think Aiden will. Steve says he is. Luke's not sure, but we think he will if Steve does. You know Luke.

The dads bought a nice thick fluffy rug to put in the sunroom, which has tile on the floor. We helped roll it out, which was fun. All eight of us were naked and we were down on the floor crawling around on our hands and knees trying to flatten it out. They took lots of pictures... even if they told us to not take pictures of us naked. Adults.

We all laid down naked together after it was down... it was a lot fun. And the first time we've all laid down together naked in a big pile. The dads and big brothers all laughed at us, but we don't care. Plus we were tired after that.

It makes it look a lot better and it's better to sit on the floor... although it's still really hard after a while, even though we helped put some kind of foam under it. We did that before the piano arrived so it would be ready... and so we could be naked.

The dads said they'll gets some cushions or something to sit on... then they thought about it for a few seconds and changed their minds. They told us we could decide what we want and suggest starting with Amazon. Crap.

They thought about it a little more and said we should ask Sam to help, since he likes decorating and he picked out the new rug, which got a big smile from Sam.

It takes several hours for everything with the piano to get done and finished, it's almost 3PM by the time they finished.

Most of us boys are just standing around looking at it, but nobody except Sam and Matteo can play, and Sam says he's not good enough. All of us are afraid to touch it.

What we didn't know is that our dads and the other adults got together to pull a fast one on us. Even one of our brothers was part of it... and he never told us. Traitor!

The piano guys hadn't been gone long when the driveway sensor buzzes again. Somebody buzzes them in. We all go look and it's some kind of truck.

The dads all come in and meet the two guys at the door.

This time one of them is young and really hot... and he has great muscles... and he's wearing a really tight shirt and shorts. We all just keep staring at him with our mouths open. We think he figured out why... he just smiles really big and comes over and shakes all our hands and tells all of us his name... Tim. We really wanted to hug him, but nobody's brave enough... We all expected Luke to hug him... and maybe kiss him.

We all just stare at him and act like dopes. None of us can think of anything to say to him other than 'hi'. Our dads and big brothers are trying really hard not to laugh out loud at us. Jerks!

But he's sooo cute! And his muscles too. OMG! We're all gonna keep using weights if we can look like him.

It turns out they're both from some store where our dads bought some more stuff for our gym.

They got two more weight benches, and some more weights. It'll help a lot since there are so many of us that it takes a lot of time just standing around waiting for somebody to finish with something. I guess now we know why Michael and Corey went and moved everything around to make more space.

We all help carry in a few of the things that aren't so heavy.

The cute guy asks all of us to come with them when they get all the new stuff in the gym. He doesn't have to ask twice.

The first thing he wants to show us is something called an 'ab wheel'... seems like a stupid name. He gets down on the floor in his tight shorts (OMG) and shows us how to use it... it's like this wheel thing with handles on each side that you take hold of while you're on your knees and then roll it back and forth on the floor in front of you... stretching out as you roll it away from you. He let all of us try it for a while... my stomach muscles hurt after doing it.

He says he uses one every day... and then... OMG, he takes his shirt off and shows us the muscles in his stomach. We all just stand and stare at him... Our dads got two of them... we might need more. If using this will make our stomachs look like his... we're going to use this a lot.

Then, with his shirt still off, he keeps showing us how to do different things... He really knows a lot about weights. We all want to lick the sweat off of him. And his dick looks really big thru this tight shorts.

Our dads also got a set of the small dumbbells that you don't have to add weight to... And they're different weights so we can all decide which ones to use.

Then he shows us the new adjustable dumbbells that the dads got. They're really neat. And they're bigger than the regular kind too.

We always spend a lot of time adding and removing weight from the dumbbells. The younger guys need a little less than the older ones. But with these you just select how much weight you want and turn some dial on the dumbbells. It uses as much as you pick, and leaves the rest behind... in a kinda case thing. Neat. Who knew you could do that?

The cute guy lays down on the bench and shows us how to use the dumbbells lying down. We never did that. We were all staring at his crotch and he sees us... it was so embarrassing, but he just laughs and asks us to pay attention. We were so embarrassed. Our dads just laughed like jerks... again.

Of course we're all staring at how big his dick is... and it looks like it's getting bigger. Wow. He's not the only one.

We all want the cute guy to stay and show us how to use everything... naked. We thought he would for a bit, but he decided he better go back to work... But we were afraid to tell him we're usually naked. Plus the guy who came with him wasn't very friendly. He looked pretty unhappy being here... but Tim didn't.

He stops to talk to all our older brothers and our dads for a while before he leaves. At one point they all stop talking and just look at all of us... standing there staring at him. He turns around and says something to them and they all laugh... a lot. We're afraid to ask what he said... or what they told him. But then he does the neatest thing...

He comes over to us, we thought he was going to shake hands... but instead he walks right up to Luke, hugs him really good and kisses him on the cheek.

We all thought Luke was gonna pee on him he was so happy... but he didn't... Yet.

When he lets go Luke hugs him and kisses him again... just on the cheek. He just smiles really big too.

And then he hugs and kisses all of us... the big brothers too... but not the dads. They just got to shake hands, and they didn't look happy.

We think we might see him again... we hope.

Matteo's Tears

Luke's POV

Finally dinner time is here. Michael and Corey grill hamburgers and chicken. The dads are funny, they keep telling us we need to eat something other than hamburgers or pizza... but they keep cooking hamburgers. Don't tell them I said that.

Some of us like grilled chicken too. We get pizza maybe every week or so, but not nearly often enough. Aiden, Daniel and Diego made the last pizza from scratch and it was really good. They keep giving us more vegetables and salads and stuff. They don't tell us we have to eat them, but we know why they're doing it, and we usually try some of them to make them feel better. A few are pretty good. Don't tell our dads.

Us boys have gotten better about helping with the cleanup. We always put our dishes in the dishwasher, but we all feel a little guilty that Aiden, Diego and Daniel cook so much, so we started helping more to clean up the kitchen after eating. We really don't want them to stop cooking. Don't tell Michael.

All us brothers have talked about learning to cook more. Every time we help we always have a great time with each other, and it'll be a great way to practice our Spanish. Aiden's Spanish is getting really good... although sleeping with Daniel and Diego probably helps a lot.

Finally it's time for our surprise, and our dads ask all of us to go sit in the sunroom. We all sit on the floor. There are enough chairs and a couch for the 'old farts' as Michael sometimes calls the dads... when they can't hear. Just kidding... He doesn't care if they hear, and he's just joking. They just flip him the bird when he does.

This is really weird, all the dads and big brothers come in... but Matteo's not with them. But several of the dads are carrying trays with glasses of wine. They only give us about a half glass... and I know to not ask for more. I'm sorry I asked before dads. I like wine ok, but I like a margarita better.

So after they give us a glass they all take their FULL glass and go sit down. This is weird, but at least they're all naked like us.

Matteo comes in and it's hilarious... he's naked except he's wearing one of the black bowties that Aiden, Daniel and Diego bought for the night they fixed a big Mexican dinner for dad Richard and dad Jorge and their family. It's hilarious.

All of us almost roll on the floor laughing. He just stands there and blushes and laughs with us. But, we all love Matteo and it's great that he's going to play. And he's so damn sexy. I love the bowtie. I wonder how a bowtie and blindfold would look together... hmmm.

When he comes in all the dads and big brothers stand up and applaud... weird. But of course we do the same thing.

He's naked so he puts a towel on the bench to sit on. Great idea. If I can sit beside Matteo naked, I'll definitely learn to play piano too. Although it's gonna be hard to concentrate on anything but his... uhhh... him.

He brought the big iPad with him and put it up on the piano... where the music goes. Wow... he turns it on and I can see music... looks like sheets of music on the screen. I guess he's using that instead of paper. Neat! Wonder how he figured that out.

Javier and Matteo have started saying almost everything in Spanish... sentence by sentence. If it's something we all probably know, it's just in Spanish. If we don't know it, they say it in English and then in Spanish, really slow. If any of us don't understand we can just kinda raise a finger or something and they'll explain more. They sometimes throw in some English words if it's something that we don't know... and sometimes, if it's too complicated, it's all or mostly English.

Before sitting down Matteo says, first in English and then in Spanish, "Good evening everyone. I'd like to play a few songs for everybody. I have to warn you. I haven't played in a long, long time, so no booing... please," which gets a big laugh. We'd never do that to Matteo.

Then the funniest thing ever... he bows toward us and we all laugh, but then he turns so his butt is facing us and bows to the piano... great view of his butt crack!

We all totally crack up, even the dads... he must not have told them he was going to do that. Hahaha... crack up. Get it?

Javier is sitting with me and Steve and Michael and Corey. He looks like he's going to faint... guess he didn't tell him either... but he's laughing at least as much as us boys.

The piano is turned kinda sideways, so most of us can see his face from the side and his hands too. Matteo sits down and just sits there for a little bit. We notice he has a couple tears in his eyes. I guess this is really hard for him, but we don't really know why... after his crappy family kicked him out. Assholes.

He looks like he's concentrating... He takes a real deep breath and turns to us and tells us what he's going to play, in English and then Spanish... 'Rock man off' or something... beats me.

He looks down at the keys and starts playing. ...OMG ...OMG it's incredible. He's so good. We turn around and everybody is just sitting there staring with their mouths open... me and Steve too.

None of us expected him to play this good. We all just sit with our mouths open... he's incredible... and it's so beautiful. Wow. The dads all stand up and applaud for a long time when he finishes. We do too... it was so good. He kinda turns and waves a little and thanks us... he has tears running down his face.

The next thing he plays is 'Moonlight Sonata', he says. I've heard this song before and like it. We all applaud ever time he finishes something.

He says he's going to play the song from Charlie Brown that Schroeder always plays, and everybody laughs when he says that. And then he starts playing it.

It sounds so good... OMG, I really might have to learn how to do this, but I don't think I could ever play like he does. The way his fingers are moving over the keys... it's like magic.

I look around at all the dads and Javier, and most of them are sitting there with red eyes, especially Javier. This must be really hard for him too. Dad Kevin isn't crying... he's just sitting there with a really big smile... but his eyes are red too. Weird.

I don't listen to music much. This is classical music... I think, but it's great. We all just kinda sit here with our mouths open... damn. Ever once in a while he reaches up and swipes the iPad with a finger, and the music changes. I guess it goes to the next page. Neat.

He plays a couple more songs and they're all great. He tells us what each is but I don't remember all of them. OMG... none of us had any idea he could play so good.

He turns to us after about 6 songs and takes a deep breath, looks Javier in the eyes and says kinda sad, "This next song is going to be hard for me to play. This is the reason my older brother asked me if I was gay. I told him the truth and they kicked me out. Then they called Javier's parents and told them. So... if I mess up..." which shocks the hell out of all of us. Michael reaches out and wraps his arm around Javier, who's sitting beside him. Javier leans into Michael. It looks like he's crying some.

Matteo turns back around and sits just looking forward for a bit, then he takes a really deep breath... and plays a song I actually know.... 'Over the Rainbow', and it's so amazing. I can see his face, and he has tears running down his face too. But he keeps playing... It's beautiful... and terrible too, after what he said.

Steve and me are hugging each other with tears, and I think most everybody else is too. We're all hugging Javier too, who is crying some too.

But then the weirdest thing ever... Aiden starts singing along with the music... It's so beautiful. He knows all the words and is just singing along.

He starts out kinda not real loud but as he sings a bit more he sings louder. OMG. We're all just sitting and staring... at both of them. It's beautiful. Even Matteo turns and looks at Aiden quickly and winks at him and gives him a great smile. Damn.

Of course dad Ken, dad Jared and Corey almost totally lose it. They're holding their hand over their mouths trying not to cry... about as loud as Aiden is singing. Michael and Corey are both still hugging Javier. All of us are so totally surprised.

When they finish, Matteo just leans his head down and we can still see tears. Everybody gets up and claps... for a long time... for both of them.

Matteo gets up and thanks everybody as he's going to Aiden and hugs him for I think several minutes and whispers something in his ear. Aiden smiles big and leans forward and kinda kisses him on the lips... which surprises all of us... especially his dads.

When they let go, Aiden is mobbed by his dads and Corey, and when we can, us too... I think dad Ken hugged him so hard he actually picked him up off the floor. Matteo goes back and sits on the bench.

While Aiden is being mobbed by his dads and Corey, Javier goes over to Matteo and sits beside him. Matteo turns toward him and they hug and just sit crying for a few minutes. Nobody else says anything.

After a few minutes Matteo wipes his eyes, and apologizes for crying and dad Alex goes over and just hugs the crap out of him. All of us boys are just sitting and watching and wiping our eyes. Damn.

Dad Alex tells them, "Matteo and Aiden, that was incredible. I had no earthly idea you could play... or sing (looking at Aiden) like that. Thank you both so, so much... that was incredible," with tears.

After Matteo composes himself a bit, Dad Alex leans in and whispers something in his ear, which causes him to look dad Alex in the eyes with a funny expression.

Matteo turns around and asks Javier to stand up, just in Spanish, and lifts the top on the bench he's sitting on. I didn't know you could do that. Neat. He reaches in and picks something up and turns back toward dad Alex.

It looks like a new iPad... it's still in the same box ours were when we got them, but it's the bigger one like dad gave Javier. He goes back and hugs... and then he kisses dad... on the lips. But not a hot sexy kiss, just one of love. Like Steve and I kiss a lot of times in bed... after sex.

Matteo lets go of dad and says, "Alex, I can't take this. You're giving us way too much..."

Dad reaches out and puts his hand on the side of his face gently and tells him, "Sure you can. Please? Javier uses the other one to draw, and you need one too... for your music and anything else you can use it for.

"Matteo and Aiden... both of you, that was absolutely beautiful. You're both incredible... it's amazing. Matteo, we're all really sorry that was hard for you. We didn't know," and by now the other dads and big brothers all come over and hug him. They have about as many tears as some of us boys. Then they all go over and hug Aiden.

Dad Alex goes over and takes the last glass from the tray and hands it to Matteo.

Dad Kevin turns to Aiden and says, "Aiden, my gawd. That was incredible. You have a beautiful voice son. Did you sing in school or church?"

It embarrasses him, but he says real quiet, "I was in the school chorus... before. I like to sing... or used to. I used to sing for my grandmother... (which gets a few tears from him) I hope that's ok dads," who of course tell him it's wonderful, and they hope he'll continue to sing. All of us are really impressed.

We all sit back down and Diego and Daniel look they they're going to hug and kiss Aiden to death... so much that he just starts laughing. Same for the rest of us... and Matteo too.

We sit and talk for a long time, and then Dad Kevin turns to Sam and asks, "Sam, would you like to play something... if you remember any songs that you used to play?"

Sam turns to him and says with big eyes, "After that? Hell no!" which causes his dads and Corey to lose it. The rest of us do too.

Matteo immediately gets up and goes over and sits down in front of Sam and tells him, "Sam, I couldn't begin to play anything very well until after about 5 years. Please don't get discouraged or give up. I promise, if you'll let me, we'll work on it and I bet you'll be really good. We'll eventually be able to play a duet. How about that?" which causes Sam to lunge forward and hug Matteo tight, and then he kisses him... on the lips and thanks him. His dads+1 all have a really big smile, and I think they officially just fell in love with Matteo for doing that.

Matteo adds one more thing, "And all of you guys... I started learning to play when I was about ten years old, so not much younger than you guys are now. And Sam, you must have started about nine, which means you'll probably be even better than I am when you get as old as me if you keep it up. I haven't played anything... in a couple years," which gets another hug and a few laughs... and tears... and kisses.

We all sit and talk and kid Matteo and Aiden for not telling us, and tell them how great it was. I tell Matteo I want him to wear just the bowtie all the time, and everybody laughs. He finally seems like he's not as sad. He explains that he hadn't touched a piano after that day with his family until a couple days ago.

He tells us that dad Kevin asked him to go with him when he went to see about getting a piano on Monday. Dad had asked him to pick one out. He told dad what actually happened with his parents, but said he wanted to go anyway... but that it might be hard for him.

Dad Kevin promised him he wouldn't tell anybody... that it was up to him. Matteo made himself sit and play on some of the pianos at the store, to test them out. I guess that's why dad Kevin was smiling with red eyes, instead of just sitting with his mouth open like the rest of us. He had already heard him play and knew it was going to be hard for him.

Dad Kevin explains that he was so good that the people who own the store asked him if he'd play more. They found some music that he'd played before. Before long everybody in the store was standing around listening, according to dad.

They even asked him to come back anytime and play. Matteo says he went back yesterday and played for a couple hours to practice a little bit for tonight... on this same piano. The people in the store wanted to hire him. He thanked them but he said he didn't have enough time. They asked him to come back and play anytime he can.

Finally Matteo says he'll play some more if anybody wants him to, which we all do.

He asks Aiden what other songs he likes to sing. Aiden starts naming songs he likes to sing. When they find one that they both know, Matteo plays and Aiden sings, but he's really embarrassed because we all asked him to stand beside Matteo instead of sitting, which he does with one hand on Matteo's shoulder the whole time. It was amazing... and Aiden and Matteo finally look like they're having fun singing and playing together, but his dads and Corey were kinda emotional the whole time... us too.

In addition to Aiden singing, Matteo played some classical stuff and some others that I've heard. One of my favorites was 'Stairway to Heaven', which I really like. He must have played almost ten more songs, and Aiden sang five.

The last really sad amazing song of the night was 'Unchained Melody', which we first heard in the movie "Ghost" at the Group Home, but didn't remember the words. Aiden says he learned it to sing for school, and Matteo says he learned it after seeing the movie, and because he thought it was beautiful... and sad.

Aiden sang it with such a beautiful voice... Everybody just sat mostly with tears... it's such a sad song. Steve sat in front of me between my legs, and we leaned over against Javier and Corey and Michael, sitting the same way... and I just hugged Steve and we were both crying a lot.

When we first heard this song in the movie, it was at the group home, and it was really hard for us. We found out later it made both of us think about losing the other one... we were just sitting and crying like damn babies. It's also the reason we came out at the Group Home.

I can't believe how much I love all these people. Aiden's dads and Corey looked like they were going to totally lose it. I don't blame them. Aiden and Matteo both had tears at the end. They decided that's enough for tonight.

Matteo told Aiden they'd sit down together so he can find out what songs Aiden likes to sing and said he'll ask Steve to download the music so he can play it for him.

We all had a lot of fun... but we're all sorry it was so hard for Matteo... and for Aiden. It was just so nice sitting there with our families... our families... and enjoying each other.

It finally occurs to me to ask how he got his music on the iPad. He laughs and says, "I didn't. Ask those two," pointing to Steve and Corey.

Steve laughs and points to Corey and says, "Ask Corey. I just went along to see how he did it," which gets an objection from Corey.

Corey looks at Steve and says with a laugh, "Bullshit. All I did was mention to Matteo and Steve that there are apps that can be used for playing sheet music. Steve went and found the app and figured out where to get the music from and got it on the iPad," which gets a few chuckles, and Steve just leans over and kisses the crap out of Corey. I just smile at both of them and rub Steve's back.

When he finishes kissing Corey I turn to Steve and trying to look mad say, "You knew he was gonna to do this and didn't tell me. Traitor."

He just smiles and says, "To quote you... YEP!" which gets a big laugh... and a big hug and kiss.

After a while we move back to the living room. The rug helps in the sunroom, but my butt is sore from sitting on the floor. That floor is harder than the living room somehow.

Our Brothers

Mostly Luke's POV

We don't have enough chairs for all sixteen of us, even if we use the four 'cubes' that pull out from under the coffee table, so a lot of us boys sit on the floor a lot of the time, especially after dad Kevin did that the first day with us. But tonight, dad Ken, dad Jared and Corey all come over to sit on the floor near several of their boys. That makes dad Kevin smile, and our dads and big brothers do the same thing.

It's so amazing just sitting here, on the floor, with our dads and brothers... big and little. All of us boys just kinda look at each other at one point. We all know how incredibly lucky we are. We just sit and stare at our dads and big brothers.

They notice us doing it and ask why. Aiden says to his dads, "Dads, Corey, other dads... everybody.Thank you... for everything," and then just goes and hugs his dads and Corey.

Diego says basically the same thing to our dads. We all agree and all hug for a while.

That goes on for a while and after he lets go, Jared laughs out loud. He looks at Luke and says, "Luke, you're right. What happened to all of us. We never used to cry either," which gets a good laugh.

Dad Ken looks a little sad and says, "Yeah, but we never used to talk to each other much either... I'd much rather cry like this than go back to that," which everybody agrees with.

We just sit and chat like a normal family about normal things for a while... I never thought I'd be able to say that.

After the piano and singing we all head to the TV room long enough to check out some of the 'Fourth of July' fireworks. We had talked about going out to watch them in person... the City of Palm Springs does fireworks at one of the high school stadiums, but nobody wanted to postpone getting the piano or missing the evening entertainment. And we're all glad we didn't.

Later after things move to other topics, Javier says, "Alex, I think we've thought about everything, and filled out all the forms from Mr. Call (the lawyer). If you don't mind we'd love to get this done... so we can be done with our bastard parents once and for all," which get a sad nod from dad Alex.

Alex says a little sadly, "It's too late tonight, so I'll call first thing tomorrow. I think that's best too, guys. When are you guys free tomorrow?" and they thank him.

Javier says he's not working at the restaurant tomorrow. Since it's slower in summer he's cut back how much he works, and Matteo says he's supposed to go in at 2PM but can change it if necessary.

They stand up and say they're beat and are going to bed. They tell everybody what a great day it was, even though it was a little sad, and thank everybody. Everybody thanks Matteo again.

LUKE AND STEVE's POV

J+M kinda look at us, but seem afraid to actually ask if we want to go with them. Steve looks at me and I nod, so Steve says, "Guys, you've both had a pretty hard day. We love you both, but how about if we just let the two of you be together tonight? You both probably have a lot to talk about," and we both get up and go hug and kiss them.

To our surprise all the dads and big brothers come over and do the same. I even notice they all kiss each other on the lips. That's not surprising with Michael and Corey, but it is for the dads. Dad Alex tells them they all love them too, and they agree. Apparently they're feeling better about being here. Good.

I wish our dads would kiss us like that.

And then, to our big surprise, Aiden stands up and says, "I want one of those too," which causes them to laugh and his dads to just stare. Then all us boys go over and hug and kiss them... on the lips. I guess they're officially part of the family now. I don't think anybody gave them any tongue... yet. Just wait.

Thoughtful Dads

After all the boys go to bed the dads just sit and look at each other. Nobody really knows what to say.

Kevin looks at everybody still there and asks, "Penny for your thoughts," which at least gets a few chuckles.

Ken's the first to get red eyes. He looks around the room and just says, "Holy fuck," which everyone thinks sums it up pretty good.

Alex chuckles and goes into the kitchen and comes back with a big (1.5L) bottle of wine and fills glasses.

Jared turns to Kevin and asks, "You obviously knew Matteo played that well, since he went with you. Why didn't you say something?" and looks kinda... unhappy.

Kevin looks at him for a bit, smiles and asks, "Would you really have wanted me to spoil that surprise? Honestly?" which gets a few chuckles.

Ken looks at him, laughs and says, "Now I know how the boys feel when you reach in and punch them in the nuts with some of your questions," which gets a laugh.

Jared finally says, "Obviously... NO! Damn you," and laughs even harder, along with everybody else.

Kevin's thinks for a while and finally says, "I did hear Matteo play obviously, and I made a complete fool of myself. Matteo was playing with tears in his eyes, and I was standing in the middle of the store crying like a damn baby.

"The owner of the store took me aside and asked what was going on. I couldn't tell him what Matteo had told me about why he stopped playing. I just said he was a dear friend and I had no idea he could play like that and that he hadn't played in a long time. He didn't believe me for a second, but at least he didn't ask...

"But guys, Matteo's not the only one. Aiden is just as amazing. From your reactions I assume you had no idea," which makes them just shake their heads.

Jared shakes his head and says, "Not a fucking clue. I'm totally blown away... You know, I'm having trouble even thinking right now. I'm just blown away by both of them. Hell, even Sam. I never thought he'd be so bold as to kiss Matteo like that... three times counting the last one. Aiden too... on the lips!

"Sam and Kurt were afraid to even tell us they're boyfriends, and Aiden was so shy he'd barely talk to anybody. Hell, all the boys kissed him. And you obviously saw how Matteo immediately went over to Sam and told him to not be discouraged or give up.... I just..." and he sighs and trails off without finishing.

Alex chuckles and says sadly, "Yeah, I know. I love both of them too... a lot. I don't have a clue what we do now. I mean piano lessons for anybody who wants them. We have to find some way to let Aiden pursue his singing, assuming you guys agree... if he wants to, and I certainly hope he does.

"I don't know how you feel about it, but I don't think the Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus has a minimum age, but that may be way too public. But then what? I'm at a loss for helping these guys accomplish what they can in their lives."

Kevin chuckles a bit, thinks a bit and finally says, "I think if we're willing to listen... the boys will give us the answers... or at least the right questions, just like tonight," which makes everybody look at him like he's lost his fucking mind.

Ken can't resist, "You and your damn voodoo," which gets laughs.

But Ken adds, fairly seriously, "Guys, do you know what a difference you've made in... all of our lives. If I hadn't stuck my nose into your business and we hadn't met you guys... It scares me to death. I'm like the boys. I can't imagine our lives without you guys... all of you guys. Damn it," and just shakes his head a bit.

Alex says thoughtfully, "Trust us Ken, nobody is happier about you overhearing a bit of that conversation than we are. Look around for a bit. Do you know how much you've affected our lives... in a wonderful way.

"Corey has certainly had a huge influence on Micheal, Luke, Steve. Aiden certainly has changed Diego and Daniel's lives. Just look at how great all these boys get along...we're all very grateful for meeting you guys. Hell, we've all had a few times ourselves... not enough, but a few," which gets several agreements and chuckles.

Alex, looking pretty emotional, which is so not like he used to be, says, "And guys, it's not about sex. You guys have become such an important part of our lives and family too. But just think about it. The chances that pretty much any of us would ever meet... is practically zero.

"Kevin and I met literally our last week of our last session of college... in summer school... in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. We both kept two courses to take in summer school... because neither of us wanted to go back home for the summer.

We met Michael because we moved all the way across the country to Palm Springs and I decided to set up my CPA practice... and the boys... the chances of that happening for either family...

"We found out about Luke and Steve because we met the owner of the group home at a Trevor Project event, the only one we have ever attended, and he mentioned them to us because he knew they're gay.

"We met Daniel and Diego because they were sitting with them when we showed up... although apparently Luke and Steve had planned that... thank gawd," which gets a good laugh.

Alex continues, "And what are the chances that you would be the pilot on one of the two private flights we've been on in what... four years. What are the chances that you'd decide to stretch your legs and overhear enough to make you think about anything except how fast you could get rid of us and get home to your own family.

"The chances that you'd decide to move to Palm Springs and buy the house next door. Guys, it's weird and scary as hell, how easily this could have gone the other way. So many other ways," to which everybody nods, but nobody has anything else to say.

Everybody kinda mumbles agreement for a few minutes, but nobody really knows what to say.

After a bit Ken says, "Guys, speaking of me being a pilot, as you know I took a few weeks off because of everything going on here. I'm going to have to start back pretty soon. Michael... I'm afraid to ask this, but I was wondering if you'd be interested in being the flight attendant on at least some of my flights... I'd love it if you'd do all of them, but I suspect I'd have a several people who'd want to cut my balls off," which get a tiny laugh... but not much. Nobody apparently apparently thinks it's a joking matter.

Michael notices the complete lack of enthusiasm and says, "I... I'm not sure. It sounds like that went over about like a lead balloon," which gets about as many laughs.

Alex thinks a few seconds and finally says with a smile, "Michael, Ken actually talked to us about it earlier. If it's something you want to do... you should. There're enough of us around these days to cover for you.

"It'll help Ken out, and give you and Ken some time together... I'm totally ok with it actually. It'll also give you a little time away from all this (motioning around) occasionally, but it's totally up to you... and we're certainly not trying to get rid of you," to which Corey, Kevin and Jared agree, and gets a few chuckles.

Michael looks at Alex, Kevin, Corey and Jared for a while and eventually says, "Guys, please be honest here. I could actually use a little change of routine occasionally, but only if everybody's really ok with it. All of you, would that be a problem if I do that some?"

Corey looks at him and says, "Michael, Ken talked to me earlier too, and honestly I think it's a great idea... if you want to. I'm not jealous of you spending time together... at all, as long as you know I'm not sleeping alone while you two are off fucking... ehh, flying," which gets a laugh especially from Michael."

Jared adds with a smile, "I actually think it's great too, and trust me, I don't plan on sleeping alone either... not that I've had any volunteers yet, other than Corey," which does get a few laughs.

Kevin says with a laugh, "I don't think you'll have to sleep alone," which gets a few chuckles.

Michael's a little surprised but adds, "I would expect nothing less. Seriously, no problem Corey, of course, but please be sure and please be honest. That could actually be kinda fun... some. I wouldn't even think about it except for helping Ken out. I know how crappy it is sitting in a hotel room at night... alone... waiting to work the next day. But it might be fun to do that with you Ken... for a while... if you're sure," to which Ken says absolutely.

Ken adds, "I've already checked with the company I work for and as long as your certification is current, and I know it is, they said it would be great. You might have to have some training on specific planes, but it shouldn't be much. So, think about it... but only if everybody is ok with it," and Michael says he will think about it.

Michael frowns and adds, "It's going to have to be ok with the boys... all the boys," and all the others nod.

After minutes of silence Michael asks, "Will we all fit somewhere so we can fuck each other's brains out?
